So this story must be fantastical nonsense then, yes?

Yes. most likely d story is fabricated and from someone that just needs attention. An IT boss ll b more sensible to handle issue of impotence in a better way than to b sending a subordinate to his house in order for him to sleep with his wife.

Not swindle, swingers. A married couple involved in an "open" sexual relationship. Meaning, they sleep with other people just as long as the spouse knows/is made aware it's happening. As for the rest, people can be really freaky so you may never know what goes on behind close doors.

A Nigerian man (not d ones that lived all life abroad) will never allow his wife to partake in any ''open'' sexual relationship. we are so ''close'' when it comes to husband and wife matter here.

cheesy

I'm not sure if I'm getting you straight, you mean, even before someone becomes your (generalisation)GF, you'll need to see her breasts 1st or someone won't let you see her breasts before they become your GF?

I mean after someone becomes your girlfriend, b4 she ll give you access to those twins, u most have parted with at least a lot of promises.

You must look like Zeus! Indecent proposals only happen in movies. This story is very hard to believe but I'll play along. It's either 1) they're swingers, 2)they want to spice up their sex life by having a 3 some & for some reason you fit the bill, AND finally 3) maybe the boss is actually gay & wants to tap YOUR @ss.

All your 3points are not likely to be a factor over here. 1 . d guy ll likely not b rich enough for his boss to want to swindle. 2. 3some with a husband and wife can only happen in a Nigerian movie(99.somtin% of Nigerian couples can't do it). Gays are rear over here, and even if the boss is one, he ll not involved d wife at all.

Hahaha @ oranges. Well that's how people are over here. No shyness about nudity because breasts aren't seen as sexual, at least during traditional ceremonies.

Breasts here is a big deal o. even b4 your own girlfriend will let you see here her breasts self.. You ll need to employ all the scopes available.

Yeah, that's true. But sometimes it gets tricky because certain things are not allowed to be discussed in some cultures. Like I had a friend from the Pedi tride & their girls go to these "getaways" when they reach a certain age. I heard that they're taught how to please a man/future husband, sexually. So anyway this girl, my friend, one day let it slip that she also went there. When I asked if the rumour is true or not, she neither confirmed or denied, just told me they're not allowed to discuss that part of their culture with strangers or people who've never been to such a place.

That's true. But most times its stuff that has to do with sex that is usually covered in secrecy .

In d other news.... That reed dance. how are ladies that free in displaying those sweet oranges freely. I think it ll b fun if we can import it down here.

Hahaha. I learn all the different terms here on Nairaland. What do you mean by the Sunday statement? Btw, I've heard Yoruba ladies are also "gifted". Can I ask you something? I hope you won't find my question a little offensive since I'm not sure if what I'm about to ask is allowed to be discussed or not. Forgive me in advance if I'm asking things I'm not supposed to. Ok, what's the reason for the facial cuts on some Yoruba people? I say some because I've seen Yoruba with cuts & without cuts so I guess it kinda intrigued me.

In the bible it is said God created the world for 6 days or so and rested on Sunday. So it most b when he was resting that he created SA babes( he took his time). About d facial mark. Its not only Yorubas that have facial mark. Generally it was used as a mark to attach people to a particular area . u no during d days of slave trade . So it ll b a mark of Identity. And also then there was no proper documentations. so The tribal mark was like a passport identifying u to a particular geographical area or Family. I hope I tried sha

What do you mean by ideal? We also have the good & the bad over here too so it's not all that rosy. The only difference I've noticed is that we're less materialistic. I also know a few girls dating Nigerian men. One of them is my childhood friend & she's married to one. They have kids too. Wait let me quickly find their photo.

I visited SA some years ago, all the Nigerian guys I rolled with then were saying same thing. SA babes are so neat at home. Their expectations are very simple from a Guy.

Anytime my host babe visited him then. she ll make the whole house perfectly tidy. Cleanness or being tidy is like a cultural thing over there.

Hahaha. You still can because some families have moved with the times & no longer make too many demands/extensive lists. Plus it also depends on the tribe you are marrying into. I know the Zulu & the Xhosa don't come cheap. I'm not sure how the other tribes go about it though.

do i need to wait till i raise money to that account, what is your suggestion?

Do not rush to apply with this your present situation or else u might likely be refused.
I will advice u to build your account over a period of time.
Since u earn about #150k. Just manage not to withdraw more than 50k per month for next 3months , by then u ll comfortably have more than 500k in your account.
Then you ll have a better chance than now.

Good evening everyone, I stumbled on this thread whilst threading online for some help and was hoping someone could please help me shed some light into this form me.

I am a british citizen, live in the UK and work here as well as my husband and children, I have just invite pd my immediate younger sister to come visit and meet my littlw son, I have invited her to come celebrate my sons first birthday party.

I supplied all my documents, my work documents with good income, my husbands pds documents and statements as well as mine, house documents, passports, pictures, name i even supplied my bank statements in Nigeria.

My sister just finished serving and has a job offer which she is meant to start end of oct and she is meant to come for 4 weeks before she starts, she is married with 2 kinds and would be leaving her family behind, she included the evidence of her kids and letter from her hubby.

I wrote a personal letter stating the relationship which is very obvious as we included all our pictures. Even baby pictures and I stated that I understand she is about to start work and that I would be responsible for every expenses of her trip, which I am capable of doing and that we would accommodate her, in fact I paid for her application fee with my card.

To cut the long story short, she was refused today with the reason below

You state that you are supported by your family and have no current income, I note that you submitted documents for your sponsors, I recognise that it is stated that your sponsor propose to bear the cost of the trip however I must take into account your personal economic and personal circumstances in nigeria when coming to my decision. On the basis of evidence provided you appear to have little source of personal income or asset in your country, in the light of all above, I consider that you have failed to show sufficient strong economic ties to satisfy me that on the balance of probability that you intend to leave the UK on the end of a short visit.

This to me is very annoying as I do not think they expect someone who has just finished NYSC and waiting to start a new job to have. Lot of income, is having a sponsor willing to carry everything not good enough, are her kids that she is leaving behind not enough.

I intend to send an email clarifying These assumptions but would really appreciate any help or insight on the right direction.

Thanks in advance

I think she is just unlucky, some peeps in her shoes get Visa. But importantly, did d husband added his own profile. If the husband has a good job, and included this in addition to the letter , it might make a difference.

Why use panadol for another man's headache ? where did you see any man poking his hands inside anybody's body in the whole pictures. 'Do not rub a cat powder' to justify a point!

Hi Justwise and other gurus in the house,

I appreciate your good works here. I have been a guest for some time now, so I have decided to register and ask my own question as it were.

I intend visiting my cousin in the UK for the first time(no travel history), he works with the British Army(still serving). He wants to send me Letter of invite, with other required documents and he'll be taking care of my accommodation, and feeding.

- I will be responsible for my Flight Ticket and Shopping ONLY.

- I have a current account which also serve as my salary account with a Balance of 700k (No lump Sum).

- My monthly take home is 65,000

What chances do I have in getting a Visa?

Thank you

CC: worry357

.You have a high chance of success if you do not make any error in your application.
make sure you have d following documents from your cousin-- copy of international pp, bank statement, proof of adequate space in his/her house to accommodate you, Utility bills, if possible his/her payslips from employment, invitation letter stating he/she ll take care of your feeding, accommodation, and any other expense you might incure during your stay. And you need to provide your employment letter, introduction letter from your company, 6 Months payslips, 6 Months salary account bank statement if different from your saving account, proof of your relationship with the person inviting you, especially if you are not bearing same surname.

The ones I can answer-

The website is www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk

You apply online, then book appointment still online. The instructions are there on the site.

The day of the appointment, you go wt the docs for biometric and submission. You MAY be asked to wait for an interview. if not, you leave once u hv submitted.

Yes, when booking d appointment for submission of docs/biometrics, if you choose Ikeja centre, 18k extra will be added to the fee you have to pay. You pay dem together online. I submitted yesterday, total was 230dollars (136 for visa and 94 for Ikeja centre).

What is the 18k extra at Ikeja for? and what is Ikeja
offering that the other submition centres are not giving?

Am a newcomer here.
Pls I need a candid answer from the house. Two of my friends have registered legitimate businesses (newly registered) and have significant monthly income from these businesses. They were however denied uk visas because according to the ECO their stated income did not reflect in their statement of account.
Please how does ones stated (a business owner) monthly income reflect on his or her account when sales defers every month? undecided undecided undecidedA

In Accounting, Business Account is different from personal Account. And that how they view it professionally.

So you are expected to be paying yourself monthly salary from your business account to your personal account. That's how they can separate your personal income from the business income.

please when you have gotten your visa, what vaccinations are necessary before travelling to the uk, to avoid complications at the airport

You don't need any vaccination generally. Unless you have some personal medical concerns, which you can discuss with your physician before traveling. But there is no law that require any form of vaccination from you.

she served 2013 and finished service 2014
she is presently employed as a teacher.

please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depositing huge money into your account very close to your application is a no no no for your application. If he can leave the money in her account for months b4 you apply it ll be better.

Unless u have a good explanation for the deposit wait for sometime b4 u apply.

Not always true,u have to show that your status will not change in the next 2years eg u where in 300 level when you got your 6months,on application for the 2years you r now in 400level(final year)that means you level can change you can become ,unmpolyed from been a student.
In the above case however, since all those money are gotten from private business, you will need tax clearance, especially if u r domicile in lagos

Still wondering what you tend to achieve with this post? cos you still moved in circle to agree with my position that if his situation is still consistent with what made him to get the 6 month Visa, renewing d visa or applying for 2 years and getting it is almost automatic.

@Kennycanny:May God bless you. Lastly, please, what I didn't remember to include in the first post is that the training was meant for 3 staff members of her organisation and three of them were granted but the training later got cancelled because of 'unforeseen circumstances' accordingly to the organisers of the training. So the question now is: can she travel alone? Or she must go with other members since the visas were granted to all of them for the same training.

Other inputs will be highly appreciated too. Thanks again @Kennycanny.

She can travel alone. it just for her to be concise on y d program was cancelled if asked , and y she is visiting now. She just let them know she is there for tourism purpose.
