Many thanks @KennyCanny:But won't that be contradictory to say she is visiting anyone since she earlier asserted in her application that doesn't have any family or relative in the UK?

Thank you so much for the expedite reply.

That was y I said if she filled earlier that she has someone in UK.
But since she said she don't have anyone in UK, she has to do a genuine hotel reservation (they investigate this at times)

Hello Everyone!
@KennyCanny @Justwise:

I have a question. How do you advise someone that applied for general visitor UK Visa and got 6 months for the purpose of a training, but the training later got cancelled. Can she still travel with the visa for a visit? It is a multiple entry. If she can travel on what ground? And what documents should she take along?

Thank you in advance for your helpful insight.

Yes
you can visit UK with the Visa. If u filled in the form earlier that u do not have a friend or any family member in the u , you ll just need to do a genuine hotel reservation for the period you want to stay. But if otherwise, u can say u want to visit such people ( make sure u are with their contact numbers or iv )

Be prepared to answer these questions at d point of entry. why are you in the UK, how long and where are u staying.
Also questions might come up on why the program u got d visa for y it was cancelled (Take documents to support it if u have)

Most important info. Have ability to prove u have enough money that can take care of the total cost of your visitation. And knowledge of places u planned to visit.

Great nairalanders,o greener, justwise, vic n co. I hail o!
Please I have a uk visiting visa for 2 years . It will expire by Feb 2016. My wife and my eight months old baby are now applying for 6 months visiting visa as we all intend to go to uk on vacation in october.
My questions are
1.does my wife' s visa application covers my baby(my baby has passport) or there is a separate application form for my baby?
2.we are all travelling together, as stated in my wife's application, therefore will the total cost of travelling to be stated by my wife be for her and the baby alone or all of us?
3. Also can my wife state that I am partly sponsoring the trip?
4.My wife's passport is in her maiden name, will marriage cert be enough as a proof?

we operate a joint savings account which is funded to take care of this trip for us all.( the savings account is my name and my wife's maiden name with balance of 1m.

Note that we both work fully with average salary of 230k each and we have budgeted 3000 gbp for the trip for 10 days.

PLEASE I NEED SOMEONE TO REPLY ME. THANK U ALL

1. your child will apply for visa on her own. I.e your wife visa can't cover your child.

2. Since you are not presently applying, let the cost be for your wife and child only.

3.Yes. write a letter and your own bank statements to support this.

4. Marriage certificate pls one or two wedding pictures will be good enough.

Include both of you joint and personal accounts, and both payslips to increase their chances since you are going as a family.

provided all the information you used in getting the 6 months visa is still intact, a renewer or 2 years is almost automatic.

Ok. I will ask his mum (my sister) to add her marriage certificate or make sure her maiden name appears on the letter she'd be writing. Will they be looking at a specific amount in my account or just generally what I earn in a month. Do I need to book tickets for Chelsea 's game next season as an evidence cause really that's why he's coming. (Question just goes on and on I guess. Lol)

The statement is just to show your financial ability to sponsor him with ease.
Tell your sister to include her wedding certificate that ll show her maiden name.

About the Chealse game.. i am not sure about that, what if the ECO go be ManU fan grin

State the relationship you have with him with proof if possible. I.e marriage certificate or birth certificate that link you to either of the parents if you are that related.

.

They re unemployed and I don't think they have any property in their names which is why I'm sponsoring. Will that hinder his application? And do you reckon that 3 months bank statement and payslip will do the job or do I need to go back 6 months?

Make it six month. If they are not employed or having any property it should not affect the application.
The consent letter and his schooling documents are very important.

My niece and Nephew didn't add anything except the convent letter and their school principal's letter.

I need help from anyone who's has successfully invited a minor (14yrs old ) over to the UK. What do I need to send down and what does he need to present. Help Anyone

IV from you stating he/she ll be on vacation with you. That you ll be financially responsible for the trip (Remember to include where and what you do for a living).
Your utility bill
Bank statement.
your Pay slips
Copy of your international passport.

A letter from his/her parents stating there consent for the vacation with you.

A letter from his/her school principal that he/she ll be on vacation around that time and that he planned to spend the holiday abroad with you will be a good plus.
his/her last report card from school is also good.

my Niece and Nephew both 14 years got un 'unaccompanied child visa' with this.

Justwise, when do you think i shud re-apply for the UK visa?

or should i consider US? i still dey vex small sad My money just waste

able Ikeja centre shud be better?

If u get issue getting UK Visa then US is likely to be more difficult. UK still go through your documents in details. US don't have time for all that. They are so quick and hardly check your documents b4 making a decision.

If your physical appearance and composure suggest you are doing well, couple with what & where u are working & how much you are earning. Then you might get it.

To cut the story short, with correct documents intact , you ll likely get UK Visa, but US its more of a psychological test.

I am a teacher with a salary of 25k, I want to visit uk for a week and my husband wants to sponsor me, will I be given a visa and what documents am I going to submit for sponsorship

Depending on what or who you are visiting. If you have a close relative there that invites you down with all supporting documents.
A friend in almost same suitation with you was granted visa to visit her brother in UK.

Thanks, really appreciate your response. I will ask him for the size of his apartment if it can accommodate both of us. But does it mean that I can submit her documents together with mine and put our passports together in one file? @Justwise, please I will appreciate your expertise too for this case, please check out my initial post. Thanks

Yes you can submits documents together. Also be careful if he his not going to be able to accommodate you and your mum together, to apply that you ll be staying for too long a period. because you ll be evaluated based on the number of days you said you ll be staying in a hotel vs your finance. E.g if the function is on a Saturday, apply that u ll get there on Thursday and leave on Sunday or Monday. making it like four nights in hotel.
Unless your brother is settled in UK and having good job, avoid stating that you want to spend more than few days.

Irrespective of number of days you apply to spend, you ll be granted 6 months Visa.

Good evening nairalanders. Please I need clarification and guidance from anyone in the house. I want to visit UK by September this year for my brother's convocation and he wants me to come with our mother. He wants to sponsor our mum, but I will be sponsoring myself. What I really want clarification on is how to go about the submission of documents: do I submit all our documents together in one file with my passport and hers included since we want to travel together, or we need to submit separately? He has already stated that he needs to send only one invitation letter explaining the fact that he will sponsor her and provide accomodation and feeding only for me. Meaning I will take care of other expenses. Please I need to know if I am on the right track. Thanks smiley

I will suggest he writes two letters for you and your mum. her own stating that he ll sponsor her. where you should be careful with is the area of accommodation. is your brother having a place that can accommodate you and your mum? if you plan to stay with him , the size of his house should b started to show he ll b able to. if not , you ll have to do hotel reservation.

pls, forgive me if this question as been answered b4, as d rule is always changing. pls must the applicant submits its own bank statements, or the person sponsors account is enough?

Is it the school still applying for visa on behalf of the applicant, or is it the applicant that apply themselves now.

Pls kindly answer this question if u know it
Thanks!

Pls, I ll like to know of its cumposary that d applicant most submit his own personal bank statement. what about a where d applicant is you using a sponsor? will d sponsor statement of account b enough?
And I thought the school is the one that ll apply for Visa on behalf of the student. and the student ll only pick it up at the nearest embassy?

yea, little I no of Norway, once u can have admission, and pay the money into the university account. you are 90+% guaranteed of getting your visa. unlike Canada or USA that u can be refused with flimsy excuse even with full payment of fees in advance.

At 30 you shouldn't have problem getting admission to most schools and courses abroad. Where you will have more convincing work to do is in the area of getting Visa.

Please can anyone help me with a visiting letter just to apply
for my visa. Please I will appreciate.

You ll need a miracle to get someone from nowhere that does not no you from adam to just send you an IV just because u asked for it on a platform like this. what u ll likely get is someone that ll even try to scam u. if you have good job or business in Nigeria you don't need anyone to invite u. just do hotel reservation and good account balance and cash flow in it you are good to get your Visa.
Or complete your HND in Nigeria with a very good grade, u ll be able to enjoy tuition free education in Norway.

please guys I need ur advice. goin to germany for an undergraduate course or doin d undergraduate course in naija or ghana and den d masters germany. which is better please

Its so simple, if you have the financial ability & educational requirement to do your undergraduate program in Germany it ll be more advantageous. But if you can't afford , u can always do it in Nigeria and make sure you finished with a very good grade , so that u can be able to get admitted for Masters in Germany.
