DANNIEmore:
You should have read at least 2 pages backward as full info about this was trashed. Anyway, you can use the Nipost regular but ensure it is registered so they could give you a tracking for it. Should arrive Germo within 10 working days approximately, cost between 450 - 1000Naira. Hope this helps..
Thanks for your response, I actually read d last 2 pages u talked about but still have question.
Its my university that will send the transcript directly, they only invite someone using courier to come over to pay for it , and in d process he will have the tracking number, but as for Nipost, the school just send it like that, student will not have opportunity to register it. That's y I asked how reliable is Nipost on unregistered mail.
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by kennycanny: 12:45am On Oct 30, 2014
Pls generally speaking, is Nipost reliable to deliver my transcript within weeks. My school gave me option of using courier to send my transcript which ll cost about 13k each and I want to apply to about 4 schools. Cost of transcript is 5k each too. This money no easy. Anybody with experience on Nipost regular should advice pls.

ehhmm, I think d problem here is that you implied that he wasn't serious or something lyk dat when you said if he had read you previous mail. dat can sound offensive to some people
I beg to disagree with you. I think the other guy ego is just beyond normal if I must use that word. Reading through their conversations , there is no big deal about what he said.

Femicrux:
Good Morning,

Pls can someone pls elaborate on what an health insurance is and if it's required by schools in Germany during the admission application process.
You don't need it at the admission stage. you ll only be required at even the final stage of your visa application. Focus now on your academic documents to be submitted to qualify for admission.
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by kennycanny: 5:15pm On Sep 29, 2014
ebele17: Nope, u can only collect d certificate from your school assuming its may/June exam. Only one is printed for each candidate. If its gone, its gone
There is error on date of birth on my WAEC certificate. can it be corrected. pls what are d steps to get it corrected if its possible.

Horayce: Hello do all schools in norway strctly require a 2.1 or it depends on the school and departent? i had a borderline 2.2(3.43) from mech engr. and i've been bluffed by all the pet engr/ IT programs i'm interested in, all insisting that a 2.1 is a requirement. Thanks.
I hope its only engineering courses that require that o. I have just 2.2(2.6) and hoping to be given admission in an Business related program.
TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by kennycanny: 7:52am On Sep 28, 2014
Obiwannn: Thank you boss. I'm clear with all you stated. The only question you didn't answer was how one would manage to raise the 2.5m for the second year of studies since this amount is required to renew your visa. From Internship? Menial jobs? I know for a certainty that there are no scholarships in Norway. So please anyone in the house who could help me with an answer before i make a decision wey ft backfire on me in future.
Thanks
its difficult to answer that because I never pass through that b4. But I don't think it ll be possible for u to raise the total of your second year fees while studying there. I guess money you ll make can only support you to an extent. Let people that have tried it talk on this sha.
TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by kennycanny: 7:16am On Sep 27, 2014
Obiwannn: ^^^^^^^^
Make una answer naaaaaaa?
And how easy it it to get menial student jobs ooo...
I'm willing to learn the language.
Let me start by saying I am still in Nigeria too and yet to apply. Let me attempt your questions with little knowledge I have.
You ll need to show the money during application for admission by submitting a statement of account of either yours or a sponsor that ll cover u for a year. If the schools grants you admission, u ll be required to transfer d money to an account in Norway. u ll use d evidence of transfer of said money to apply for visa. They usually give just a year visa, so if you are going for more than a year program, when you want to renew the visa in Norway ,you ll need to show another evidence of account that can cover u for next year.
Most of the school in Norway exempt Nigerians from the English test because our official language is English. Lastly I understand u can easily get jobs while studying especially d cleaning and manual jobs.
Please others that knows better , correct where appropriate.
TravelRe: How Easy Is Getting Admission Into Netherlands Univeristies And Visa by kennycanny: 10:05am On Sep 22, 2014
pdesmond1: The possibility is quite high, this is because you will be able to get 1 year of residence permit which allows you to look for work and be able to work. Once you get the job, you or your employer can file for extension of your residence permit. After uninterrupted 5 years of working, you can apply for permanent residence card.
Thanks so much. I think I get the msg very clear. I think my only concern now is weather I ll be able to get a job without good knowledge of Dutch language, or how easy it ll be to learn d language.

Thanks once more for your efforts on this trend.
TravelRe: How Easy Is Getting Admission Into Netherlands Univeristies And Visa by kennycanny: 6:51pm On Sep 21, 2014
pdesmond1: Two things are involved. First, you have to understand that according to the terms on which your study residence permit is issued, you are not allowed to work. But if you so desire to work, you have to meet an employer who is willing to hire you and also file for your Work Permit as you cannot do this on your own. The complex part of this is that the process is most times hectic, time consuming and most employers decline the offer of hiring you as a foreign student especially if you cannot speak Dutch.

Secondly, you are not allowed to work more than 10 hrs per week during your study semester, this with an exception on long holidays were you are permitted to work as many hours as you so wish, but again you still need a work permit to do so.

Finally the reality is that even if you succeed in been hired for a part time work (10 hrs per week) there is very low survival rate for you and you cannot afford to live and pay your tuition fee from your earnings. You can apply for your a residence permit after your graduation which is mostly valid for 1 year, this allows you to look for work within the validity of that permit. Your university will assist you in this application, so be well assured that it will be granted. So if you can afford your tuition for the duration of your study, then by all means coming to the Orange Country is worth it. All the best.
Thanks for your time on this. I really appreciate it. It not easy to use your time to type all these info.
If I get your msg clearly, if I can afford the 1year fees for msc and living expenses. I ll likely be able to stay put after my program there.

Hello all, can someone kindly shed light on this question, especially to those already in Holland. Is there any legal opportunity given to student to work and stay after studies in Holland?
Just trying to know b4 committing such big money to this dream.

ebele17: @kenny, i got ur mail. U havent read the relevant pages of this thread and if naijaobi catch me now, he will say that i am spoon feeding u. Lol @naijaobi.
1: what do u want to study? Use daad and google to search for programs. I cant do that one for u. You will do it urself.
2: check the requirements whether u require german language certificate or not, if its purely english taught or not. If u pick a school, always contact the progam coordinator. They will give u break down of all u need to be admitted and what to expect of ur studies.
3: if ur cgpa is 2.6, i dont know how that will aid u oo because they re people with higher grades dan u. Depending on the program, u may or maynot be given a place. You could take up additional online courses to boost ur credit but like i said u must talk to the program coordinator. Example : in my own, i had a cgpa of 3.44 for my bsc and 4.22 for my MPA but my coordintor told me that i have to do additional course of about 10cp in economics on cousera.org, signature tracks that cost abt $49 online as part of my admission requirement.
And i say again, if u pick a school and a course, contact the program coordinator.

For now, www.daad.de and google are ur best friends, start getting to know them now because they will be with u till the end of this journey.
Thanks for your assistance its highly appreciated. actually I have searched a lot online b4 coming out for help. I feel one or two persons here might have gone through low cgpa (2.6) to get admitted in a German university for business or logistics course at masters level. I will still continue with my search and still hope to get info from anyone here who knows better.
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by kennycanny: 3:19am On Sep 01, 2014

TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by kennycanny:
I am just wondering , going by this Norway trend, Is it that Norway is not attractive enough for Nigerian students or people are not just aware. Or is there anything chasing folks away from Norway.
Just curious y d trend is so slow compare to other countries own. huh
TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by kennycanny: 9:21am On Aug 28, 2014
StarFlux: Well, as Inxyz already has said, there are some courses that are very easy to gain admission to, and in many cases these are completely new.

As for the rest, it was simply an observation based on your post.
Thanks so much. Sent u an email!
TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by kennycanny: 9:18am On Aug 28, 2014
I am sorry to say, this is more personal because it depends on the career path you want to follow.

If you want to move here, that is okay. Then I will advise you to look up for courses that are less competitive and may be recently introduced in the school if possible. This may increase your probability of getting admission.

As long as you are admitted and transfered your deposit, I will say your chances of getting your visa is more than 90% as at this year's rating.

Good luck man.[/quote]@ INYZ. Thanks so much. I have been looking for such courses and schools with difficulty of getting suitable one that's y I ask for assistance from you peeps that have more knowledge on this stuff.
Which school and course can u recommend for me?
Thanks 1ce more.
TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by kennycanny: 7:00am On Aug 25, 2014
StarFlux: Indeed. We've all been there.

Hello.

I would recommend Oslo and NTNU as a first choices in your case. Here you have a simple list of available Master's programmes at University of Oslo (filtered): http://www.uio.no/english/studies/programmes/#topic=jus-okonomi-ledelse-administrasjon&type=

NTNU: http://www.ntnu.edu/studies/imp/admissions

You might have to broaden your wishes though - there aren't THAT many economy studies offered by public universities compared to private ones.

Interesting that you mentioned Canada, seems very backwards.
Pls shed more light on the bolded. my aim is to actually relocate there any program or course that I can qualify for and ll help me to integrate into the system legally ll b fine.

TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by kennycanny: 11:05am On Aug 24, 2014
Hello all, especially to Staflux, INXYZ, ashimiyu ,and other peeps that have been sacrificing their time to contribute valuably to this trend. Pls I need advice/guidance from those that have good knowledge about going about studying in Norway.

Let me start by saying Canada was my initial plan, after paying full school fee payment ($14,000 a year program) and showing bank statement of #1.5m , I was still refused a study visa because of inadequate family and economy ties to Nigeria. Which is funny to me despite having been to Uk b4 and still have a valid UK visit visa. I wish to relocate to an advanced country legally and as I am not a high professional person to be considered for highly skilled opportunities. I want to use studying as a stepping stone to achieve this.

My search for alternatives gave Norway as another good choice. I have a degree in business Administration second class lower with cgpa 0f 2.6. I will like anybody that can recommend business related MSc or professional program that I can be considered for admission in Norway especially in regions that Nigerians can easily blend in.
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by kennycanny: 12:04am On Aug 21, 2014
symbian03: First you might have to elaborate on what you meant by ''cheap'' because you will never find any cheap institution in Australia - only fairly affordable ones. Also, I think it all boils down to your budget, undergraduate or masters? English proficiency test is required except some institutions might waive it but still it is advisable for you to write it. No one can recommend institution that best suites you as no one knows your budget and preferences - Google would do the trick though. My two cent
Thanks for your response. I mean the cheapest university in terms of tuition fees. I know Australia education is expensive, but some school ll generally b cheaper than others. i ll go for d cheapest i can get in postgraduate study. I have been searching Google actually without any good result, but d advantages of this kind of forum is that some people ll b more experience than others , and can give u advice and guidance. Cos some must have pass through that stage b4

Motunbaby: Kennycanny thanks so much for your response....would the fact that i have not resumed work yet till nov not affect the application? Pls il like to know ow much precisely would do for a family of four?
on the amount let's do calculations. Return tickets to Canada should b average of 300k × 4 = 1.2m. Let's say hotel reservation 250k (i never do one b4 o). Feeding and other flexing 250k. Totalling 1.7m . I guess u people should have like 2.5m balance with a good financial history to convince the visa officer. You can use your other investment/ property documents to support your application.

About your job, u can include the employment letter since u ll be resuming after your vacation.

All this are just my own thinking, others may have better suggestions.

Buy something come on your return o grin

Cufs: Hello all, please what's the max number of Words for SOP?? Cos my own is already 2pages and d words are getting to thousands...lmao
Summarize as possible as u can, SOP is not a must document , so if u decided to submit u should make it straight to d point, short as possible as u can without loosing d important fact u want to pass across.

To me a page is good. Maximum of two if u must exceed 1.

Motunbaby: Hi nairalanders.i need your urgent answers, i and my family (family of 4)intend going to canada for tourism purposes, how do i go about it? Do i need a letter of invitation becos presently we dont know any one? We have all never travelled before what are our chances? My husband is a civil servant and we run a registered biz, i am a stay at home mom who just got an appointment letter for a dream job, how much should we have in our account and what are our chances? Thanks
Well it depends largely on your financial status.the higher Your husband position and salary at work the higher your chances. And if the registered business is doing great too with evidence from your bank transactions details and balance you have a good chance.
You don't necessarily need to have somebody in Canada b4 u can b granted visa for visit. All you need do is do hotel reservation for d period u planned staying there.

omooba2015: i applied for residence in the school i was given Admission, but yet not reply.. hope this will not affect me during submission of my visa application....Also online route, will i scanned my marriage pictures also.... with my Landed prperties document also...
Yes u ll scan and submit all that to support your application. But as your salary doesn't reflect on your bank SOA I don't really no how to advice you on this. Maybe some others can have better advice.
Although its not compulsory to submit your SOA if you have a good sponsor , its only better if d applicant is a working class. And on the residence, if u have enough time you can wait to have it, but if u don't have much time , go ahead and submit its not a big deal. As far as your account / sponsor details can show that u can afford it.

omooba2015: Thanks for your reply...But is he still going to send Embassy Original copy or the school ..... And can i also include my SOA to it, because i have my employment letter, my personal Tax clearance, and my wife also (tax clearance)
He doesn't need to send the original copy. let him send clear copy of it to you. let him send proof of source of the money too, I.e employment details or coy registration details.
Its good you submit your SOA too since you re employed.

omooba2015: Good Mornring, i m a new person in this forum, and i have been enjoying this forum, and like the way people share there experience and testimony here, pls i have some question to ask, i got Admission for my Master, all necessary fees had been paid, my sponsorer is in Europe, he told me that he will only send SOA and all other document to School not Embassy in Nigeria, i try to convinced him that it is only Embassy in Nigeria that my document will be verifed, and will be issue visa not school, pls what can i do ..advice me.... Do i also need Police clearance certificate for my documents.... Thanks all
As somebody already adviced you, request him to send you a scanned copy of all his supporting documents, but if he his not willing to do that, look for someone else that can stand as sponsor for you in Nigeria . Because no visa without good sponsorship documents o.

Wrong trend for your question, but let me try to answer. Well it depends on the Visa Officer attending to your case, but if you have a cogent reason of going to India or any country for that matter and meet up with their requirements for a visa, u ll be granted!
