Hello, please check your email. I sent you a PM. Akeredoluekun2: Good evening house, please I need some clarifications, I am applying for SOWP and Study permit for my 7 year old daughter. But while filling the study permit for my minor I notice, I have to produce the name of a DLI and also a LOA without them the form wouldn’t be validated. My questions:- 1. How do I complete the form without a LOA? 2. Should I just apply for a VV (All other types) for her instead of the study permit? Please I need your advice
Thank you for your anticipation response |

PPR Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOWP and daughter’s study permit application approved in 65 days! It can only be God!!! It has finally ended in praise o! Come and join me sing hallelujah, Jehovah Jireh has done me well. I am super-duper excited to drop my story here because it is a dream come through against so many odds after about 11 years. At some point, I only come to Nairaland to read other people’s testimonies and after reading, I will share with my wife believing that one day we will share ours to the glory of the awesomely awesome great God with whom nothing is impossible. When it appeared that the door of express entry was shut at us due to age consideration and our SINP application came back to us ineligible after about 9 months of waiting, it was as if we had come to the end of the road and it was very painful. We had a choice to throw in the towel and quit (…but we realized that winners never quit). Then we decided to reconsider the study route which we never thought as an option because of its huge cost implications. As God would help us, my wife got an admission into MSVU on 14th December, 2020 and her study permit was approved on 10th September, 2021. She couldn’t travel until 29th December, 2021 because of Omicron with its attendant unexpected “apartheid” travel ban. Now, as the SOWP & study permit application journey started, the burning question was whether we should submit my SOWP & daughter’s study permit application without my wife’s study permit and SIN while she had not started lectures and was still in Nigeria and send them later via webform when she lands in Canada or wait until she lands in Canada and gets her study permit and SIN before my SOWP and daughter’s study permit application will be submitted. There were varied answers to the question above. But we prayerfully submitted our application on 18/11/2021 with wife’s study permit approval letter and without her study permit and SIN. My wife travelled to Canada on 29/12/2021, and her study permit and SIN with Student ID card, school fees receipt and updated enrolment letter showing full time student (because the one we submitted application with had “part time” student) were sent to IRCC via webform & e-mail on 20/01/2022. Thereafter, I sent an enquiry on the status of my medical examination to IRCC via webform & e-mail on 21/01/2022. There was not specific reply from them except the generic auto response emails. To my greatest wonderment and pleasant shock, when I logged in to check my e-mail on Saturday (afternoon), 22/01/2022, I saw three donotreply@cic.gc.ca messages from IRCC (one with my daughter’s application number and two with my application number). I was apprehensive (should I open it or not). Torrent of messages flooded my mind. But when I finally mustered courage to it, lo and behold, God has given us “an earlier than expected miracle” of the beautiful golden PPR emails for my daughter and I. In view of the crazy SOWP current processing time of 61 weeks, my heart “cut” and I was tempted to apply for visitor visa via the new IRCC portal. In fact, I started the visitor visa application and everything was almost ready for submission. But I said to myself, since my wife travelled to Canada on 29/01/2021 that I would wait till 31/01/2022 by then she would have been one month in Canada and if there’s no tangible update on the SOWP application, I would hit the ‘’SUBMIT’’ button for the visitor visa application. But God is bigger than my doubts and worries. Timeline: Submitted my application: 18th November, 2021 Biometrics done: In 2015 for a previous visitor visa application Medicals upfront done: 2nd November, 2021 Medical passed(Daughter): 23rd December, 2021 Medical Passed(Dad): 22nd January, 2022 Eligibility review started: 22nd January, 2022. Congratulations dear. Reseptie: Its PPRRRRRR OOOO
Thank you Jesus, oh thank you Jesus.
I applied for SOWP for myself and Visitor's visa for my son , submitted when my spouse was still in Nigeria and he left for Canada August. Even though, I read on here to wait till he gets to Canada but i just did not want to take chances and backed it up with prayers, trust me i got tired most of the time because of the wait. Anyhoo... God has done it oooooh.
The week my spouse travelled, he sent me his study permit and i uploaded it for myself and my son via webform and also via email. After submission on the 1st of June, when my spouse got to Canada in August i added the following docs:
SIN
Study Permit
Timeline
June 1st Application Submitted (Mine and son) June 4th Upfront medical updated (upfront medical) November 19th. IRCC requested for additional docs (Birth Cert for my son and consent letter from his Dad to allow him travel with me) November 23rd: BVL and PPR (was sent about 20mins apart)

Marriage certs and some family pictures
Statement of account
Investment account
Admission letter for my spouse
Evidence of full tuition paid for my spouse
Son's birth cert

Copies of our international passports, previous/current travel visas

Requested for 1st GCMS note in August received on the 30th of October in that GCMS note eligibility was blank, medical and criminality passed while my info sharing was still in progress
Second GCMS on the 27th of October yet to receive it
IRCC requested for consent letter and birth certificate for my son 19th of November ,sent same day
Eligibility review started for my son and I on the 19th of November
Sent all sorts of emails and enquiries contacted a couple of MPs (Kitchener and London Ontario sent enquiries to IRCC on our behalf too). The MP in London ,Ontario contacted IRCC for us in October and they came back to say they would finalize our application in January 2022 ,I said abi they were joking ni, well instead of getting mad at the messenger sebi na help he kuku do me. I took the response and processing time he mentioned to Jesus.
Before then, i requested for travel exemption for my son and I got an authorisation as per subject of the email in September 2021 for my son only. In the course of this application, i also renewed my Nigerian Passport because the one i applied with was meant to expire January 2022, after the renewal i updated it with a webform.
If your spouse has a Study TRV for now abeg apply ooooooooo ,i did and God did it for me and my son, he will do yours too.Waiting on God to come through was not easy, i was strong and weak at the same, seeing people share their testimonies here i did wonder when mine would land ,finally it has landed and i just want to say thank you to Abba Father.
I am writing this to encourage my peeps that are waiting because our peeps that shared their Sowp journey also encouraged me while I waited for mine. I would not say you should not worry cause arghh mo worry gan ni but try not to worry too much which I know is easier said than done and I prayed, I stopped praying and I continued praying again,God i prayedddddddddd .(KO FUNNY RARA)
It ended in praise and the lord crowned us with his goodness. |

PPR Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, it has ended in praise!!! To the glory of God, the “container” of my wife’s PPR just landed safely in the harbor of her email address on 10/09/2021. The feeling is better to experience than to imagine. I pray for as many who are desirous of this experience that God who did it for my wife will remember you in the name of Jesus. Amen! Frankly speaking, it has not been an easy journey but I’m glad how the good Lord has helped us thus far. The story behind this Canada dream is a very long one. I will try to abridge our story just to encourage someone here. By the God’s grace, we will surely share the full story someday. I don’t know the stage at which you are on your journey, please I want to encourage you to believe God, do your best, (Do your research, read as much as you can, ask questions where necessary. There are tremendous resources and good people who are genuine and willing to help here), be positive and hope for the best. DON’T YOU EVER GIVE UP! Background Hints: • Application for LLM (Law) admission in University of Manitoba was refused in 2014. • Canada visitor’s visa (family) application was refused in 2015. • An active Express Entry profile with CSR score of 441 which kept crashing after every birthday. • Received SINP ITA with 68 points on 03/11/20 and submitted application for nomination on 22/12/20 and nomination wasn’t forthcoming (If you are conversant with SINP process, you know it’s a story for another day). • Wife’s age is 41 years. • 12 years’ post-graduation gap. • Wife had a baby in Canada with a tourist visa. In view of obvious realities before us, my wife and I knew that only God can make this dream a reality. Therefore, we changed strategy and reconsidered the study visa route again. Timeline for study visa application Applied to MSVU for master’s degree in public relations on 04/11/2021 Received admission for master’s degree in public relations on 14/12/2020. We delayed the study visa application with hope that SINP nomination will drop (unfortunately, it hasn’t dropped even now). But we eventually made up our minds to submit our application in the second week of March, 2021 through NSE route in order to meet September Fall intake. Hence, the need for upfront medical with MBS and IELTS with hope that application will be processed faster within the 20 calendar days as promised then by IRCC. Upfront medicals in IOM Ikeja on 09/03/2021. Request for additional medical required for TB on 9/03/2021 Additional medical required done on 10/03/2021. I was not afraid of the TB test because since we got married for more than 10 years now, there has never been any case/symptoms of TB in our family. I thought the TB test result will be out in few days. But my morale was down when I was told that the test result takes about 10-12 weeks (about 3 months) to come out. That’s time for the result to be out and not for the treatment assuming the result comes out positive. She was told by one the nurses in IOM not to submit her visa application until the TB test result comes out. Somehow, when we heard the information that visa applications submitted before 15/05/21 will receive a decision by IRCC by 06/08/2021, we decided to prayerfully package our application. I reached out to Mr. Frank (@Frankrobbn1) who edited my wife’s SOP. We submitted on 14/05/2021. Study Visa application Submitted on 14/05/2021 Appointment with IOM recommended TB specialist on 10/06/2021. The TB specialist told my wife that there was nothing to worry about from the TB test result. The result was negative. Praise God. Miracle number one! Informed by IOM via SMS that her medical result has been re-submitted to IRCC on 16/06/2021. Then the deafening sileeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by IRCC. No eligibility review started. No update on biometrics from previous tourist visa application which is still valid. No ghost update. No real update. Except the standard “we are processing your background check” which has been there from the day application was submitted. If you don’t see/observe any significant movement on your application. Please, don’t be negative because behind the scene, the invisible hands of the almighty God may be pulling strings and orchestrating events in favor of your application as He did in my wife’s own. As the long deafening and worrisome silence continued and became unbearable. I reached out to Mr. Frank (@Frankrobbn1) who advised that my wife should start sending incessant emails to IRCC Web form-Nairobi, lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca and nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca for an update on her application. Medical examination passed on 10/09/2021 PPR container landed safely on 10/09/2021 Appreciation: Firstly, we give all glory and honor to the great and awesome God, the King of kings and Lord of lords who made it to end in praise. I want thank everyone for input on this platform. Special thanks to Madam Faith (@Faithyyyyy) for your support and your role in connecting me to Mr. Frank (@Frankrobbn1) whose professional touch/reviews on my wife’s SOP/application was phenomenal.

Evaluated my master degree with IQAS and hubby's ND/HND with WES.
We wrote IELTS 9 times (mine 8 and hubby 1)
I passed IELTS at the 5th attempt with LRSW - 9777
Unfortunately, this placed us at 439 and went for two more with 0.5 deficiencies in writing.
I then took the last test on 1st December 2018 and had LRSW - 8.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5. This breakthrough in writing came when Dr Benson offered to teach and review my write-ups. Our CRS score then moved to 445
I never got tired of writing the exam as it was the only mountain before me that needs to be leveled for us to have ITA.
My utmost thanks goes to the God Almighty !!!
I also thank my friends Oby, @Zinggi and @Wasseynet for always being there to listen to my silly talks and unnecessary worry at odd hours of the day (you all will rest now).
Thank you so much Doc Benson for bringing the breakthrough in my writing.
