Chat Sam on 0809 600 2981 Please all, Kindly don't pay much attention to this kind of thing. The only one that can give you POF is yourself, Sponsor ( parents/siblings/ close 3rd party). Please never accept bank statements from strangers. you're likely adding yourself at least 5-year ban. Note that anyone who is advertising for this isn't aiming for just one customer. the same POF that will be given to you will as well be given to another person. Just for instance ( not saying is the case ooo) : There was an instance where two siblings used the same account statement for an application, One was initially accepted while the other was rejected. later the accepted one was rejected. I'm not saying that case could be only as a result of submitting the same POF, but imagine siblings getting rejected for cos of that, then put yourself and many more who will be submitting that "Maybe a fraudulent" POF to submit with your application. So contact him or her at your own risk. |

Malcomsaint: Hello Guys. Just discovered this thread. You guys are really helpful. God bless you all.
My visa got refused on Friday. First time applicant on the basis of ” personal finance and home ties”.
Please advise as I want to re apply for May entry as a self sponsor. Is this advisable ? My former sponsor(uncle) said he won’t be sponsoring anymore.
Can I use my savings and gift deed from mother (total of 10M)with 1year tuition already paid as POF?
For home ties - I can’t get a study leave as my company doesn’t grant such. How can i strengthen home ties please.
Thank you. All responses are welcome and appreciated. Please are you Malcomsaint or Nobody, because two of you are asked the same question? |

Grazat2021: Good afternoon all, with all due respect, I will first of all apologise for the commotion I caused here this morning. To be sincere, I got thrown aback and was wondering what I did wrong to receive all these reprimand. But I thought I appreciated everybody's effort in my first sentence and went on to make a humble request but probably I missed something, pardon me.
To be frank, I got to know about this trend on Nairaland only mid last month, this is 4 months after I submitted my application to IRCC. I'm not saying I know it all, definitely people helped me, I asked questions and I can tell you, I went back to appreciate them immensely.
I understand where you're coming from, on giving back, which I sincerely wouldn't have failed to do if I was part of this thread on Nairaland all this while. In fact I think it could have even shorten the time it took me to apply, cus it took me so so long to gather myself and documents in applying for the study visa, probably that caused my late PPR request, which eventually means I will have to wait 1 year more. God knows best.
I was asking myself, but what will I gain to hoard information to myself, if someone needed it. Do you know, I'm just getting to know I'm to send a timeline, or whatever you called it? Please you people shouldn't crucify me.
So many have said thier mind and one classified me as the problem of Nigeria but I take no offence, I understand perfectly their submissions. That aside, thank you @Ketima and @viviangogos for providing the answer I needed, also others that responded to rescue me out in the derision. Me I no like fight ooo...lolz. But for real, thanks to all well-meaning Nigerians over the globe.
I want to sincerely appreciate the "gurus" in the house and everybody who has been actively helping others, for their selfless contribution to this community. I am a strong believer of community and giving back, I have in the past started a coupled Alumni reunion and give back movement of my previous educational institution, of which some are still active. So, I may not have all the knowledge and time, but when the opportunity comes, I will not hesitate to contribute my quota here. That's my humble response.
Thank you all for listening and understanding.
So with the timeline, I don't know if this is what it is: 18th June, 2021 - All documents submitted on IRCC 21std June, 2021 - Biometric capturing 13th October, 2021 - Medical exams 26th October, 2021 - PPR request
What did I do specially? I sincerely can't really tell, I applied and submitted all required document, paid application fee and waited. Truly it was really a long, seemingly hopeless one until God remembered me. I did't know anything about raising webforms or doing anything special, but I gave it my best during the application, with major guidance from a friend's brother who went to Canada last year December. The rest is history and God's mighty help.
In conclusion, I sincerely wish everyone about to start the process, or in the process or still awaiting response, all the very best. It will end in joy, you too will rejoice and thank God.
Peace. Hello Grazat2021, I have waited for you to reply for me to reply mine, don't feel bad if I sounded harsh, in the real sense I wasn't trying to be harsh. you're most welcome to the family. together here, we help each other tackles issues to the best of our knowledge and let God do the rest. Back to your issues, when you were given admission, were you communicating with your departmental academic advisor? I would advise you to get close to him or her and find out a lot from him or her. A tip from my own, I have chatted with mine to the point, when she is now replying to my mail, her greetings now go this way, "Hello Ketima again lol". so try to report such to the department and seek their opinion of getting admission the 2nd time ( if you haven't) because if you apply to a new DLI, it means beginning the visa application process again which I know you wouldn't want to. One Love |

sayittome: I am so cool with this info. Really helpful. Gracias. Regarding cost it living in Canada, do u think $300 will sustain me in Canada for a month? Better still, how much is your monthly expenses in Canada in term of food, accommodation, transportation, data, electricity and water? Haha. Sorry, I'm laughing, is not actually lug but just putting yourself in my shoes. you can use another person's lifestyle to judge yourself but can use it as a benchmark. Now, I may be the type that eats once a day while you must eat 3 times or more a day. in that case, can you use me to plan yourself? No. for accommodation, I can decide to go for CAD$550/month, but you cant because of your personality. LOL. Note that some accommodation fee is inclusive of internet + electricity and other things while some, is not inclusive. So, I just gave you the list of the minimum wage, use it and do the maths as you know the province you're going to, your lifestyle and all that.In your free time, you can visit Kijiji dot ca |

sayittome: Thanks alot. How much do u think he needs to have on hand before he secures he job bro? I mean pocket money than can sustain him be before he finds a job? Hello Sayittome, I can see you're so much concerned about getting a job and finance once in Canada. In fact, all international applicants worry about that a lot. Now personally, the way I advise people as I was advised and based and in addition to what PapaObi said. Canada is a country where provinces have their minimum wages. as a student, you're permitted to work 20hrs/week Now moving to Canada as an international student, please try and have money that can help you pay between three to 4 months of your stay once you get to Canada. The reason is that you will need the first three months to balance and put school stuff in place, get accommodation and all that. mind you getting a job first three months isn't that easy as a newcomer who doesn't know around yet. but that doesn't mean you cant oo. a lot has gotten it so you can if you try. Then as per making money, for example, a student in Saskatchewan works 20hr/week(Minimum wage). so d the calculation and know the least amount to make in a month. then considering your living expenses lifestyle, you do the rest of the maths. on a lighter note. try pack enough foodstuffs that can last long for you ooo lol (20x11.81)4 = 944.8/month

ForevaTT: I'm not sure if you're an admin, but even if you are, why would you make such a snap judgment about someone you've never met? There's no rule dictating that you have to return right away, or at all to "testify". Let's not forget that what someone submitted to get a PPR does not guarantee the same approval for another person.
If no rules were broken, feel free to express your thoughts pertaining to his/her question without passing judgment. Well, bro/sis is a democratic platform ( If I can use that term), so you're free to say such. When I joined this thread, I thanked God that people who got it before me never left but were still around to share their timelines and what they did different, which helped me to apply once and get it.. (yes getting it at the first attempt is pure God, but then, I learned a lot as well). Now imagine all those who got it at the beginning of the thread left ( considering no one is mandated to share), would you and I be here to learn? I want you to take a stroll to SPOUSE OPEN WORK PERMIT THREAD and see for yourself the effect of GETTING PPR AND NEVER RETURNED TO SHARE AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS. That particular thread is as good as dead and non-existing. So my bro/sis. is not by bolding your point, but by the conscience of coming back to share so that other newbies can learn as well. the mammoth crowd of those realizing the chance of migrating through the study route is increasing as days go by. So they need us, old applicants who were there before them to learn and be guided. Peace. I'm not an admin though |

Grazat2021: Thank you all so much for this thread, it has been so informative. I got my PPR last week, glory be to God.
But it's coming after my admission has expired as they refused to defer to January but asked I reapply for Fall,2022. It was so painful, as I have to start over with application for admissions. But God knows best.
Here is my question, my former program was a 1 year master, but the school I'm seeing now for a similar program for Summer, 2022 is 2 years masters. My concern, what should I do? Get the offer and update IRCC by raising a webform? Will it make any difference, I'm asking if I will be given 2 years study permit? Or will it be risky to do, will I loose my Visa approval as this program is 2 years and my financial statement was for the 1 year program. Or what will you advice I do? I need your URGENT RESPONSES PLEASE. Thank you. First, let me state that it was so wrong of you that you got PPR and you never cared to come to share in the group that helped you so that others can learn and see how and what you did differently. you only come back cos you need help from the same group again. nevertheless, the group will always be there for each other. Now to your question, Since the school has said you can apply for a new application for fall 2022, I think you may have a chance of securing admission since you did for the first time. if you secure admission since in the same DLI and same course all you need is to update IRCC and inform them of the new LOA (via mail and webform). But if you should apply to another DLI and get a new LOA, you will start your visa application from scratch again as stated by IRCC ( so long as the change of DLI was from outside Canada). my opinion though wait for gurus to guide you propoerly. |

Pls I would like gurus in the house to suggest schools I can apply for full sponsored PhD scholarship in "water resources and environmental engineering".
My masters is in water resources and environmental engineering with excellent PhD grade...
But my first degree is in civil engineering with a poor 2.2 (my major concern and fear of obtaining a full sponsored scholarship).
My plan is is to be able to prepare and meet up for the 2022/2023 academic session.
I just need councels generally...
My desired country of study is Canada, nonetheless any other reasonable locations are welcomed... Thank you upfront. Good day Sola, I have a friend with your exact academic background. Civil( structure), MSc( structure) now doing his PhD as well in structure. Now his first degree, he came out wt 2.2( 3.26/5.0), his Msc was excellent and now doing is PhD. What he did was, he has done 4 published research, 3 seminars with 8years of civil engineering experience. I guess his research and experience paved way for him. So do you have any research to your name?( Not your normal BEng or Meng projects) To start with, you need to start looking out for schools and writing to potential supervisors whose research areas resonates with what your want to do or researches you have done before and would like to further on. As for the schools, our able Lekiboboe will be of immense help. Chat him, he will surely deliver. But then I don't see your 2:2 hindering you from securing research slot with a supervisor and funding. Just package your mail that you will send to supervisors. Hint more of your excellent masters and researches and the need to research more in his or her field which aligns with your research interests. Less I forget, he also did GMAT to boost his chances Wait for gurus to throw more light |

I will give it a try. Please as regards the highlighted, all this your docs, are the all that important to your application? IRCC knows why the kept the max limit to 4MB. Will a VO who has plenty of other applications to assess be able to go through all this your documents that you yourself is attesting that is so much. Mind you, the complexity of your documents is not a determinant factor in positive decision. Viewoliver: Hello Boss! Congratulations on your visa approval. I really appreciate your immense contribution to this platform. May you find favor in Canada.
I am 20th July applicant ( Second application) Eligibility started on 1st October Classes startef on 8th September and I deferred my admission to fall 2022 since the only starting date for my program is fall.
Please I would like to get your opinion on these: 1. Am fully vaccinated, would it be necessary at this point to forward my vaccination certificate to IRCC through webform or email?
2. Should I notify IRCC of my updated LOA now or I should wait until decision is reached on my visa application. Don't u think that notify them with the new LOA will delay my PPR?
I will be much grateful for ur response. I will also appreciate response from other gurus in the house. Thank you and God bless you all. Hello, For Q1) you're free to send them your proof of full vaccination. In as much as it shows you're ready to go, I don't think it will have much influence on your application. But then, you never can tell, maybe it may do wonders on the VO handling your file and no penalty in sending additional documents you think my help. Even me that sent additional documents like new passport, MBS(twice) that needs vetting, my application was done in 4months an 13days. For Q2). You don't need to yet. I got my new LOA, I didn't send it untill I got my PPR. The. Day I got PPR, I sent it via mail and webform. I believed sending new LOA with far distance starting date might make the VO to say ok, this one has enough time, let me go attend to January intake applicants. So keep hold of your new loa and send when PPR lands. To be frank with you, if they want to know whether you have deferred or not, they will know. So relax k. Humble opinion |

makano: Hello House
Of recent, we have been having complaints of this particular Visa Officer (AH03849), of how he/she refuses applications for no just reasons.. I do not wanna believe this Visa Officer is all about refusals, so I want us to do our home work as regards his/her operation and it will take our cooperation here to achieve this..
Now, this goes to the applicants here that were approved, and this will be like a give back from you to the thread that has helped you get your Visa. Now please order for your GCMS notes and when its ready share with us on this thread, let us see if this is the same Visa Officer(AH03849) that approved your application or not...
With this, we will also know if this particular Visa Officer is in charge of Nigerian applicants.. I know the approved applicants will say what is the point of ordering my GCMS notes when I have already gotten my Visa, please note you are doing the good of this thread that has blessed you with so much information prior to the time you got your Visa..
On behalf of this thread, I appeal to the approved applicants here to order for their GCMS notes, so we can carry this survey on the operation of this particular Visa Offier..
I know these Officers are watching us here, so let us make a point..
Peace Yes. let me support by including mine. But then, I don't really buy into the fact that the VO hates Nigerians, but then we never can know. Cos we have had plenty people under him or her complain. Guess I was lucky my file was not assigned to him or her. I guess from my assessment note, that's why Lagos VO called me to send my old and renewed passport by email. Same day 4hrs later, I got PPR.

amiecandie: My hearty congratulations to everyone that received PPR and for those denied ,please stay strong and request for your gcmsnotes to identify the specific reasons and tackle it. It shall surely end in praise.
Please gurus in the house I just recieved the cbsa notes that requested for almost 2months ago. I need your advice and explanation on what to do based on the pre-assessment notes. My tuition for the 12months course is fully paid Woow. You're assigned to a VO by same VO that most people here have complained that rejects people based on lump sums and finance issues. From your assessment, seems junior VO has completed his or her own and is now seeking for further review of POF. So my question is, hope your POF is in tact, no unusual lumpsum deposits and if any, hope it was duly and properly explained with proof. That being said, you're in the final stage of your application. So be expecting decision from now. Again, this tour medicals, was it requested or up-front. If up-front, is a 50-50, but if requested, probability is high. But then, IRCC ways can come in any form as unpredictable. Again, this was one of the reasons I was sending my MBS every one month and, so that the VO will see that funds are increasing and not decreasing, but with proof of how the funds are coming in. All the best, it wil end in praises. Amen |

That kind of complicated things in my head sha, but I am sure some people with experience on this would guide us better How do you mean the Passport number is different? When you renew your passport, you will be issued a new passport with a new number, but your old passport number will be crested on the new one as well. so look well on the passport, you will see the old passport number there. |
