School is resuming by 10th January, 2022...
I have sent several emails and many webforms.
But no response...
Does anyone know what is going on...
or they have abandoned my application.

What is going on is that your application is under review/ As to when a decision can be made, no one can tell. All you can do is keep sending mails daily to the office handling your file. Also, keep in touch with your school as regards deferring options should your decision not come before 10th january.

But preferably, look for 2year course to be entitled to 2-3years post graduate working permit, as 1year course gives a year PGWP. That's if your plan is PR. Is your choice though.

8 months course is regarded as 1 year course and as such requires a visa. So long as the course is more than 6 months, you will need a study permit. Yes 1 year course gets visa. So many applicants here going for a year course have secured their Visas and are currently in Canada studying.

Please run den zenith bank. Did for someone and even after a month, nothing. Had to move it to all these new banks without much customer. Under 3 days, it was done.

Now with this new CBN policy on form A, you may need to visit the bank and see if it hasn't been cancelled.

Just relax ok. They will pick it up. So long as your paid for 2way, it will be brought to the address you used.

Maybe their courier driver isn't at VFS office yet. So relax ok. Lol. When you behold the stamped passport, all this your worries will melt away.

Yes. Meaning you have to wait for 5hrs at the airport for your connecting/continuing flight to your next destination. Even, Some layovers can reach 9hrs.

It can be tiring but with wifi connection, you will be fine. So have backup powebank

I don't actually book from the site/app. I only use the app to know the cheap(est)/affordable for me, then go to the listed airlines websites for confirmation and to do the necessary bookings.

I got a mail early this morning by 4:16am............ and behold it was PPR........... I started Ph.D program fall term remotely.
21 weeks and 3 days of waiting, he finally gave me a new song............ Indeed what God cannot do does not exist my people..
I contacted an MP in October and the response I got was that my application was complex, it needed additional review. God proved himself as the only one that can do it, not by the documents I submitted, but the divine mercy he showed unto me.
For everyone waiting, God will give you songs of praise as he did for me...
I am awaiting my son's approval, as I trust God for divine perfection.

Guess you didn't explain the lump sums and with proof to bad it up. The VO said it is a demonstration purpose meaning he sees it as money borrowed to show POF but will be returned back.

So you have jobs to do in explaining the lumpsums and attach proof of its source. Show that it s genuinely meant for studies and not for demonstration purpose

Hello, in some cases, we have seen were applicants dont get BIL after 24hrs normal time it comes. So I would advice you wait for the BIL to drop before booking your Biometrics

My journey her started in 2015 while in the UK. I applied to four universities for my LLM and only got in at University of Ottawa but my father's friend who lives in Canada says its more expensive than UK. Thus, ended continuation of my studies in UK with my LLM. 2016,my dad traveled to Canada again and met with an immigration consultant and explain all to them that it cheaper than UK (apparently my father's friend do charge my dad US DOLLARS as CAD for everything my dad does on Canada). It was then my father knew the kind of friend he has.

The consultant asked me and my sis to apply to colleges for PGC from the UK, We got in but then the devil taught he had succeeded (my father was scammed by another friend in same Canada and lost lot of money). Then he could only sponsor one person. As a big sister haven been to the UK years before my younger sis, I stepped down and ask her to go. She left new year 2017 while I came down to Nigeria.

Coming down, I have saved money to cover tuition deposit for Canada, so convinced my dad that he should only sponsor me to enter since I had the tuition, he agreed. I applied on my won because, the Canada consultant was charging us $2,000. The course was PGC paralegal. I submitted my app.with my LLB, BSc. LLM but was refused due to no career progression and not convinced I will come back. I reapplied but this time with the consultant since he was the one who handle my sis app then. He first charged us $200 for GCSMC note (the refusal comprehensive note).

The second app. was done with a long SOP and all documents notarized yet another refusal that they were not convinced I will come back, travel history, purpose of visit. Then I gave up and pursued my NYSC, law school. I was called to bar 2019 and start work. It was last year September my dad and sis started fighting me that I was too comfortable with Nigeria. I told my dad not to start because he had said then in 2017 that must I ho back, people were making in Nigeria and no more education or PhD for me in his house. That I was going to do that in my husband's house (me that do not have boyfriend talk less).

He apologized then I started with WES, IELTS (first attempt, L:6.5, R:8.5, W:5.5, S:6.5), tutorials in IELTS (second attempt, L:8.5,R:7.5,W:6.5,S:8.0) submitted EE and went on with some Provincial nominee. Yet nothing until August my sis started with apply for a masters program again after getting rejected in Carleton University for a PhD program even though I had secured supervisor and using the same proposal to bag two phd offer in UK and 1 Australia. In order for peace to be, I applied and was given admission and the submitted the application.

Just this morning, what God cannot do does not exist. My God is awesome, too good, to faithful to fail me

A few background story,
I am one of the Methuselahs on Nairaland, joined since 2006, yes 2006 and was a great contributor to the Free Browsing Tricks (that was the most active thread those years) and left the day the thread was taken down, I was really heartbroken.
I came back partly in 2011 to help people with some few ways on how to unlock paid phone applications for free and got banned and some of my thread locked so I had to open a new account and stayed in the background

Back to the Canada waka, after the endears saga, I knew I was done with Naija and I started looking for how to look for a 'better' country, hence my return to Nairaland
to source valid information and I was not disappointed.

I submitted my application on September 1, 2021.
Did my biometrics September 7.
I did upfront medicals even before I submitted my application, started medical Aug 17 at IOM, got a mail for additional Xray view Aug 27, I thought that was all, only for me to get a mail for additional information, I was told I have to come for sputum test at 7am for 3 consecutive days at IOM Ikeja and I reside in Ajah, so I had to transfer to Q-life,
I paid extra 60k for sputum test and was told they need to culture for 10weeks, it was at this point I almost gave up but na Buhari dey motivate me Ajeh.

Going to Q-life for 3days consecutively for sputum test was not enjoyable for me at all especially for the fact that it is a supervised test, they will watch spit into a test tube until it gets to about 5-10ml, after 10weeks, I had to pay and do another X-ray at Q-life which was sent with the result of my sputum test.

Medical updated to pass Nov 25, come and see celebration when I finally passed my medicals you will think that my study permit just got approved.

Got one ghost update, then Dec 2, I was in the office when I saw the mail, come and see 'tough' man like me shaking inside AC, ran to the toilet to check the mail and login, my heart was racing, hand shaking and bracing myself in case the news was not favourable and then I saw the PPR news, small tears of joy dropped because medicals show me pepper.

I want to thank everyone for all your support.

I have read every contributions and comments from part 17, 18, 19 and this 20. After I submitted my application, I realised I didn't do justice to my lump sum, so I raised a webform, entered Frankrobbn 1 mode with a touch of Makano methodology and a sprinkle of Ketima FBI skills and created a believable story about it and reattached documents to back it up.

I raised a total of 4 different webforms at different times to update my information based on what I read here.

One day soon, I will do a story on my sputum test experience and what to expect.

P.S: Pls pardon my typos and poor composition, I am too excited to type a well composed story, I am just typing as it comes, maybe I will do a better one when I am calmer

Please my newbies, no matter what you do, never you think or believe some faceless person from nowhere will just come here and give you POF say you be wetin. Please let's all be mindful and watching for this kind of vultures. With little research on him here, he just registered Dec 2 (just yesterday) in the forum. But we are hoping for the best as wish thy resume flight this Dec. But our government isn't helping.
