Hi Ketima, I am trying to get more clarification as the information on the VFS website about submission is sort of ambiguous. Are you saying that If Mr A does his biometrics in Abuja and is sending his passport to be stamped, apart from the fee below there is nothing else to be paid to VFS Global?

If you did your Biometrics in Abuja and you want to send your passport to Abuja for stamping, you won't pay the 8920 transmission fee. But if you did Biometrics in Abuja and want to send your passport to Lagos, then you will pay transmission fee. Vise versa.

Now for delivery fee. If you're to use DHL or UPS as the case maybe, we are adviced to pay for 2-way. That is, DHL or UPS will deliver your passport to your choice place of stamping, when is is stamped, they will bring it back to your doorstep ( the address you put when sending the passport for stamping). Now if you do one way to VAC office, once DHL or UPS sends it to VAC, their job is done. Now when VAC have stamped your passport, that figure you're seeing there is what you will pay for them to send it back to you. I stand to be corrected though. Which is costlier than what DHL and UPS charge. DHL charged me 6400 for 1-way, so I paid 12,800 for 2 way, which is far below VAC 1-way returning of your passport after stamping.

If it is n accumulated amount over a long period of time, kindly leave it in the accounts and submit both account as your SOA, and state it in your SOP.

Ok. You can send me a mail so I forward same to you. Make it a habit of sending mail to Nairobi and Lagos daily. I sent mail 8am, 12noon, 4pm daily including Sunday. So for them to call me and tell me shey I just sent them mail, means that they see our mails as it comes. So bombard them with mails ok.

Renewal of International passport in this our giant of Africa is like getting another country visa. Can you imagine that today October 16, 2021 complete 3months I did capturing for my passport renewal till date the passport is not ready for collection what upset me most is that the officer told me 6weeks before i want for capturing. After capturing and the 6 weeks expired I started calling this officer he stated telling me that there’s no booklet and he can’t tell me exactly when the passport will be ready for collection.

Really passport issuance in Nigeria na who you know. I believe there is always passport available but na survival of the highest bidder ( who pays highest) and who you know it the system. I stand to be corrected though.

First, you need to order your GCMS Note. Then the VO assessment can be well understood and tackled. Listed in the refusal are generic reasons.

But as you used company account, what documents did you submit. I used company account and I was approved. But then, is not all about using company account, what of your own SOA. Did you sow your own funds as well.

But please who owns the company u used?

First point is purpose of visit. What course are you going for. Higher degree or lower degree or degree you already have?

For Assets. Did you show your own establishment (Assets) in your name?

3rd point,. VO is concerned the money shown won't be enough for the study. So how much is your tuition+living expenses+ others compared to amount shown in the account.

That's the little I can deduct from my lays man's view. The gurus will guide you well.

Frankly speaking, I don't now which is better. For my first note in june, I used same thegcmsonline and it came exactly on the 31st day in July. So I now used them for the 2nd note since August 24 and up till now, no show from them.

So I can't tell for real. My case may not be like yours though. Is just so you have it in mind.

Yes. But when you want to pay, it may increase to that or little below as they will to CD$13 or so.

If you're to use the the gcmsonline, kindly check others oo first. Cos I ordered with them since August 24th and is yet to arrive.

I have been reading this thread for some hours now and i appreciate all the contributions, although i now have plenty questions in my head.

I need some advice and guidance on how to proceed with my application and i would appreciate if some gurus in the house can assist me through this process.

So yesterday i got me LOA from University of New Brunswick for an MBA. My other application which is still under review is for a GDBA from Memorial University. Now, if i get second admission, can i state both in my Visa application bearing in mind that the MBA is for 2 years while GDBA is for 1, and their costs differ?

What level of funds do i require to show as POF. The total cost for the MBA is CAD31,239 while the GDBA is CAD6,832?

For family ties, can this be limited to my immediate nuclear family and maybe parents only?

I have a landed property, can my Mum do a gift deed for her landed property for me as well or mine alone will be okay?

For the MBA application, it was required i send my transcript for my first master at Unilag, will i have to state this in my SOP or not?. The GDBA only require Bsc transcript and no mention of my Unilag masters.

Lastly, my EE profile expired in September and my ielts this week, i plan to re-activate the profile next month after writing another exam, does an EE profile have a positive or negative impact on this process?

First and foremost, congrats on your admission.

Point 1: you can't apply for study permit with two admission letters. You only apply with one. Either with MBA or the GDBA. I know you already have bachelor's ad even a master's, so VO will see an MBA as academic progressions than GDBA. But then, the MBA you're going for, is it related to your first degree and master's and or your job? So when choosing, be looking at the one that you can best use to convince the VO on either career or academic progression or both. Again, bear in mind, 2-year course gives 2-3years PGWP while 1-year course gives only 1year PGWP. So the choice is yours to make.

Point 2: Total cost required is atleast Tuition ( a year) + living expenses (CAD$10,000) + others ( flights and other miscellaneous). So for the MBA, least amount = 32,239+10,000+3000(depending). Use that for GDBA.

Point 3: if you're married, family ties is your immediate and to some extent your parent's ( if they are dependent on you for care). But for siblings, I can't tell as I didn't use them. Though I attached their birth certificates.

Now if you're single, then use your parents and siblings (if they are still single. This is to own understanding) as family ties back home.

If you have landed property, show it as well as your mum's. Try to evaluate (monetary valuation) it. So the vo can see the cost of it. I only did an affidavit of ownership for my lands and quoted a figure in the affidavit. I didn't involve estate valuers as their charges were high.

Point 4: Now if you have masters already, why you not going for PhD? Nevertheless, we have seen that it is advisable to go for another masters when you already have a masters than going for a GDBA by gurus in the house. People are always adviced to hide it if you already have masters and going for another master or lower course. But I always encourage people to be truthful in their application and back it up with concrete reasons why they are opting for another Masters or lower course after obtaining a higher course. You can do justice to this when explaining why this course. So is all your choice. If you choose to disclose it, of course you have to attached your transcript.

Point 5: From what I have read here, dual application is ok and non affects each other.

Please note: I'm not a guru, just my view from my own application. Do well to wait for guru to guide you properly.

Yes. USA and Canada share info. But as regards to your question, it depends on how you explain it in your SOP. When I applied, my sis is a PR, my mum went to Canada for traditional custom of postpartum care( Omugwo). So I dedicated a subheading to explain it in details and pleaded to vo not use that to judge me as my mum is there on a temporary basis, while my sis went as result of marriage (citing as custom demands she can't stay without her hubby).

But then it all depends on your own situation. You're better off to explain your own unique situations to the VO. But make sure you talk about it.

I tried to use that to tackle " Home ties in Canada and in home country as seen in some rejections letters"

Just my own way. Gurus will tell you better.

Is obvious for those who applied from within Canada, the follow a sequence. But for those who applied from outside, VO's determine pace he/she wants to use and no one queries them.

Pay transmission fee to the Canada logistics account. Include the reciept of payment into the documents you're sending to VAC. So you're to pay it before enclosing all documents in the DHL envelope. This payment is if you're sending to were you didn't do your biometrics. Just left DHL some mins ago and it was a smooth process.

I called IOM immediately and they said they can only give me blood test results which I suppose it's not enough for me to upload via web form.
I’m guessing probably because I went with a medical request.

Please do I need to be disturbing IRCC till they update my medical to pass and issue BVL & PPR respectively. And how do I go about it?

If it was an upfront medicals? they will give you e-medical slip, then that's what you will send via webform and email. But since It was medical request from IRCC, and as IOM has said they sent your medicals to IRCC, your free to be sending them mails as regards your medicals. Once sent by IOM or Qlife to IRCC, it will surely get to them and it will get updated accordingly.

Mind you, they, IRCC have backlogs of medicals to be updated. So you may need to give them sometime (hrs or days) to effect that.

Hello dollymon,

You don't need to print and sign anything. Just put your name in were application, put date and validate. That's all. Some form will permit you to write your name but seems the family form( can't categorically remember again) won't permit to even write your name. So In that case, just put the date only and you're good to go. Please do not print and sign anything.
