Babacele: What do you mean? Beyond using high falutin words for cosmetic appeal, are you a realist as far as Nigerian politics is concerned. Talking about ethnic sentiments and playing second fiddle , we know who are the real culprits. History is our guide to the reality of Yoruba's political idealism which allows for egalitarian self determinism ,human dignity and national development. When most noisemakers here couldn't visit their villages and towns for fear of being kidnapped by PDP hoodlums, it was in Yorubaland they hid. Where were they when a Yoruba man made GEJ the president? It takes a lot of thinking and political acumen to pull that off, not gra gra without sense! We know people who can't organize and sustain a political structure in this country. Abeg!Which Yoruba man? OBJ? When he couldn't even progress his 3rd term agenda? mtchew |
pandriod: Ha ha ha. We have no values but surely won't sell our babies like goats. I should be able to buy chukwudi from any of these baby factories for as low as 50k.Yorubas sell babies real hard. live with it. its all over the news if NL is ur only source if info, goodluck |
hybeekay9: To be sincerey, yoruba is the easiest language to learn, try to watch the white(oyinbo) that are in Nigeria, they all understand Yoruba very well...e.g Kayode oyinbo(nollywood/hollywood/celebrity), he speaks Yoruba fluently... I also stay @ a new site in Lagos and almost 5 white men and women live beside my house and i also work with some of them @ their factory, 76% of them speaks Yoruba fluently.Mtchew. Are the white men learning Yoruba from sokoto? U said Lagos, so what's the big deal . They interviewed some white men in Igbo Lang at Cultural center Enugu, last yr. Its not a big deal either cos they have lived in Enugu for 8 yrs. |
All these long epistles to disprove yorubas are not morally depraved? U are pouring water on a duck's back. Read/ watch news and not just nollywood. That's even a stereotype u have got; U ppl are ritualists, sex sca.ndalistists; and I don't see y they would have to release a list of few ppl when u all are guilty of the same crime. Ur gals, marriages, etc have got no value |
all4naija: I have no idea of what you are talking about. I didn't enter the thread with any bitterness or whatsoever. The silly Pagan misunderstood my initial comment. That is the clear fact. That dude is possibly suffering from a bipolar disease!Taa gbafuo. Na person wey no know u . U are full of bitterness, wetin be ur contribution for the thread sef? |
pandriod: Better have baby mamas everywhere than selling children below the price of a goat as you do in ibolandSo what abt the rituals u ppl do? Don't u read newspapers? Babies are bought and sold everywhere, I dont support that tho. That of the igbos is diff cos a singular person gathers some o,f the surrogate mothers around, take care of them and get a large share of the money.. see Yoruba talking abt prostitution, Una own worse pass in this country. U gals don't even have value sef. |
larride: You and I know that politics is a game of numbers, its a known fact that GEJ will win 95% of the votes in SE and 80% in SS, APC will want to produce a candidate that will win their territory, right now, nobody in SE/SS can wrestle votes from PDP for APC, you know that, I know that and I'm sure APC strategist know that also, so they will think about their own stronghold and win their also. That's the reality on ground. So what if APC doesn't win in SE? What shd matter is that rochas and ngige have been endorsed as good ppl, at least by APC members. They shd field any of them |
CFCfan: You've got a valid point there. But the Yorubas and the Hausa-Fulani still make up a majority of the population in both the SW and NW respectively. Even at that, the "non-indigenes" in those zones are still likely to cast their vote for the APC.I don't agree with ur 2nd sentence. Moreover significant non indigenes exist in Lagos. Its OK, let see. |
No news here. Yorubas give and take s.ex like water to everybody. No need trying to single out some ppl and paste here |
larride: If Fashola is given the VP slot, then the whole SW is in APC forget and he'd likely garner some votes also in SS states.Watch APC disgrace themselves nah . That reminds me, I thought ngige is a good man? Y is APC not considering him? Rochas? |
CFCfan: Buhari could be his mentor, just as Tinubu is, to Fashola. After everything, remember to factor in that state of origin is different from state of residence. Cities with large population in Nig are largely cosmopolitan hence permutations might not work. Most hausas in the SE/SS wl vote for buhari, most igbos anywhere will vote for GEJ. Just a thought. |
ilugunboy: Utterly irrelevant. No, because they think they are sophiscated, they should start querying tinubu on how he spends SW IGR. That is the immediate problem of the yorubas, and nit mere vice presidency. U ppl allow tinubu to enjoy all the tax payers money like u all are illiterates, yet u will come here on NL and claim u are sophisticated? Are u ppl not like hausas in this regard? . Igbos dont claim to be politically savvy but they object to extortion without due compensation. Aba Women's riot of 1929 is clear for all to see. |
realsammie: Hahahaha. u don export ur culture to d western world ba? i see, dats y ur language is goin into extinction at a rate of 350km/h. u re even proud to say it.Keep deceiving urself |
realsammie: Bros na wa o. so u ve not seen olu jacob act as emir b4. e be like say children don ful nairaland dis days. and in case u dnt knw some hausa actors have started appearing in ur so called igbo nollywood. e.g ALI NUHU.so what? What abt igbos that appear in Yoruba movies? Do u see igbos claiming yoruba nollywood? Igbonollywood diversified in the 90s into English and Igbo, with an English preponderance,. The same Andybest, divine touch, amaco etc that produce the mainstream nollywood movies are also the producers of the Igbo spoken movies. But they dont produce Yoruba and Hausa movies. |
5.00GP:Well, most of them look poor and dirty. So, I doubt they have a high enough client base. |
Afam4eva: Of course GEJ is easier cos he's the incumbent but he's making it seem that since Jonathan is from the old eastern region, he's more or less one of us.The man knows y he said that. He knows that thing u know, even more than u. Feasibility is the watchword there plus interest . bliv it or not, GEJ has benefitted the SE in just 3 yrs more than any president. |
alivetofuckonly: Yeah with yoruba rap is easy. I mean check out naija hiphops today yoruba is always just it. Besides if the language is studied carefully, u will realize a vowel usually comes after a consonant and followed by a consonant again..that makes it really easy to learn and speak. Another such language is hausa..easy too but some language like I-g-b-o where 1 consonant is followed by 3-4 vowels including nostril vowels...chei..na hell. I'm neither of these 3 tribe but I just say the truth.Which word in Igbo has a consonant followed by 3-4 vowels sequentially |
Sparklingheart: In igbo language, wen ur leg or hand seize 2 move freuently n @ d same tym u feel like u dnt own d leg or hand again coz even if u r pinched @ dat tym u wil nt fell it( it is called OTAK-OGWERE).... Pls wot is it called in english language?Layman's language: numbness/ Pins and needles Medical: Paraesthesia |
tintingz: LOL, the fact still remains that igbo movies are rated 1%since u bliv in quantity, how much does kunle add to the number of English movies? And y is he not doing Yoruba spoken movies? Well, I wont blame him, he went where the action is |
tintingz: So what am i sayingThat was then |
all4naija, u don see ur life nah. u go enter thread with bitterness and what have u? Its good u have ur match here |
Orlando Owoh: The names Obafemi Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello are names to identify with, having left indelible marks in the west and north, respectively. Who knows Azikiwe in the east?Zik is an African phenomenon. Are u not even ashamed of putting him in the same sentance as awo and bello? U are very ignorant |
Sb is talking abt okoya. The same ppl that embezzled our public funds to go and establish industries. Did we tell u abt emeka offor? ngwa, tell us abt dangote too. mtchew |
django1: What is Christmas to this ibom government, they spent so much (probably too much) on it.Tell that to agbameta who was stressing how Xmas light is impt in Lagos. Y didn't u make this comment in that thread? . Carry ur local thinking and go back to Ibadan where the presence of lights will not Even change anything. |
Afam4eva: It's a stone throw as Atakwu is in Akegbe-ugwu, Awkunanaw, not quite far from my village.Every place is not far from ur village |
5.00GP:Whatever is making yorubas come to the east to sell agbo. |
Afam4eva: Ezeife comes across as someone who understands Nigerian politics. He has captured the idiosyncratic disposition in a succinct manner. Though i disagree with his penchant of always downplaying Igbos fighting for themselves as far as politics in Nigeria is concerned. Enough of always support other candidates.in ur own thoughts, which is easier in 2015? GEJ 2015 or Igboman 2015? The man knows what he is saying. |
superstar1: So because they started, it is now solely theirs.Sorry. We own the mainstream nollywood. The one the world knows . The one that gives fame. The one that exports Igbo culture to the world. Igbos are good. . Igbo spoken living in bondage of 92 shook the world, pls who knows abt Yoruba movies in naija aside yorubas. The other day, they were a cussing Igbo ppl of wrong subtitles in Yoruba movies and I ask, are we the ones even making subtitles? |
paj4love:help me ask him o |
Kairoseki77: https://www.wired.com/images/article/full/2007/10/robert_boroffice_500px.jpgWetin this one come mean? How does this fed xter job equate to Francis emeagwali |
chino11: Yes Igbos are only 2nd to Oyibos in world advancement..Y were the ngbatis saying its inferiority complex? Anybody that doesn't acknowledge the advancement of the whites is deceiving himself. After the onyibos, its the igbos for sure |
don't forget kunle afolayan also produce english movies.
why is that igbo movies are rated 1%?
