Since 2007, good restaurants have been on increments in the east such that in GRA, independence layout and esp new heaven, up scale restaurants compete with the number of residential houses.
Even inside the streets of newlayout, Enugu have lots of beta modern Igbo owned restaurants not all these iya eggheaders that full Ibadan.

Nightshift: Perhaps for the people of Agbani. Nkanu is made up over a dozen towns, and from my last count , many of these towns have no single road built by Chimaroke. Take Amurri for example, he didn't care to extend ESUTH roads a few kilometers into the town. Amagunze, Ihuokpara, plus the whole of Nkanu East he created have no good asphalt roads.
Nkanu's proximity to Enugu should be a big advantage, and not a reason for the kind of neglect seen in the area for some decades now. We need dozens of roads across communities in the area. If Nkanu born former governors did their homework well, why should one need to go round before getting to Agbani from Nike? They could have built roads connecting Nike , Amechi-Idodo with Amagunze or Akpugo.

At least, today, agbani, nkanu is one of the number 1 destinations in enugu state.

Lands became more valuable.
He also empowered nkanu ppl economically and enlightened them.
Check the population of nkanu ppl pre and post 1999 in civil service and see what am talking about.
