the french camp is like a circus right now, of particular disappointment has been the conduct of patrice evra. i just hope this plays out in SA's favour
SportsRe: Kader Keita, Disgusting Cheat Of The World Cup 2010 by Kgdavid(m): 10:25pm On Jun 20, 2010
dont mind him. how can you say that was a coming together of players when all replays show that kaka clearly saw him coming and clearly extended his elbow into his chest, off the ball. you only saw keita's dive abi? there is no nation that posseses such an impressive collection of divers as brazil. from lucio to kaka they are a bunch of sly cheats. but i bet you would vouch for luis fabiano as the cleanest player ever right?
SportsRe: Did Kaka Truly Deserve A Red Card? by Kgdavid(m): 10:14pm On Jun 20, 2010
of course Kaka deserved it. at the end of the match he started playing dirty and tried to rile the ivorians, he deliberately elbowed Keita for no reason. Keita did dive but that was to draw attention to the foul and lets face it, who wins the award for the highest number of dives throughout that match? Kaka himself so i say good riddance to bad rubbish

@kgdavid,
the other time, u told us how your father said no to your idea of becoming a footballer and now how your mother who does not watch ball noticed yakubu chewing gun. is it not possible u create ids for your mother and father respectively so that we can have direct communications with them instead of this kiddies avenue u and 12large are turning here intlo.
from what u say and write here, i don't think your brains have developed enough to engage in elder ppl's arguements.

@12large,
nigeria is such a useless country that heroes are not respected and everybody does what he or she likes not minding what the implications will be.
you entitle to your opinion and actions so also is yakubu.
in everyother country, things like u are not recognised but hear u are worshipped so also is yakubu.
nigeria has no laws hence yakubu like everyother nigerian does what he or she wants.
posting here is not by force. get your backside together, think of something important or related to your life and we will know u are normal.
all these guys are in a world and class of their own. if our so called rulers who steal our funds behave anyhow they like, what more these guys who legitimately earn their livings out of individual efforts?
as for family insults, i will pretend not to have seen that and i believe that any family with your type is coursed enough.
are you a stalker? will you stop following me around to spout rubbish! irritating jobless pest

SportsRe: Yakubu Chewing Gum In National Anthem by Kgdavid(m): 12:07am On Jun 20, 2010
this funny cuz i remember two years back when my mom who does not watch football was passing by and noted, with annoyance, the way the same Yakubu was chewing gum during the national anthem. since primary school i was strictly tought that during the national anthem all other activities are to cease. its not such a big deal its just simple etiquette, something quite a few nigerians are not familiar with.

will you people just get off yobo's back?? are you gonna say that you cannot see his effort on the pitch??

@kgdavid

Afetr kaita was sent off, he (lagerback) made no changes in the 1st half until the 2nd half, that was when he subtituted odenwengie for obasi right?. . .good! had it been he brought in those two players that u mentioned (yusuf ayila and martins) and on that same 2nd half Taiye Taiwo and Echiejile were out b'cos of injury and we were 1man down then already, what will u say about that? undecided. . .9men on the field are not withstanding the pressure from the greek side, na 8 men go give us the victory? undecided. . .make una just relax una mind and xcersice patient for that guy for sometime make we know if truely he can handle the super eagles. it's just too early to start calling 4 sack, ah ah undecided una plant seed today, una want make d seed grow today, na medicine? abi b'cos na white man una dey xpect white magic? undecided na wa O!
both taiye and echiejle gettin injured in the same match was a freak coincidence that should not be taken into consideration when discussing tactical moves. greece did not create any clear cut chance and for that i praise our defence. they were good except when it came to set pieces. lagerback also messed up by starting Kaita on the right flank. there was absolutely no justification for this.

12large:
you see how fickle fans can be, the same osaze that khydavid was hailing last year is now average. you said he started as a striker, but what was his record as a striker poor everybody knows his a right winger but the coach carry useless player put for right wing
please dont get it twisted. he still remains one of nigerias best players but thats not saying a lot for him as our players are too poor for words. he has played more on the left wing for nigeria so i dont get y ur calling him a right winger. it really doesnt matter though. i knew he would not spark at the world cup cuz he did not even spark in the friendlies, maybe he is burnt out or off form.

Ranoscky:
it's funny how nobody mentioned the name of the coach in our 1st match but in the 2nd match he's now being crucified.

can someone pls xplain to me or give me 1 reason why the coach should be sacked?

back to topic - yes yobo i support u jare, make una try una best against s.korea, whatever the case maybe let it be!
yesterday he was out thought by his greek counterpart. as soon as Kaita got sent off the greeks threw on an extra striker. their formation was already 4 3 3 so imagine what the implication of that was? it meant they had four out and out attackers coming at as with our weakened midfield, what should we have done? very simply switch to 4 3 1 1 formation bringing in yusuf ayila and martins for odemwingie and haruna.
at that stage of the game we still had one goal to protect and having the one man disadvantage that was the only reasonable thing to do. laggy boy merely changed his attacking personnel by bringin in obasi, that woeful player, they were then able to put tremendous pressure on our midfield although our defence kept them pinned back. this resulted in them taking shots from distance, two of which ended in goals.
SportsRe: It's War On South Korea - Yobo by Kgdavid(m): 1:11pm On Jun 19, 2010
i just found these comments pitiable and laughable seeing how limp some of the players are but yobo as an individual has really tried, as an individual defender i hardly noticed any errors from him and he has always been full of passion on the pitch. he has played very well under the given circumstances. i guess he has done the right thing by trying to rally the troops for the final all important push. good luck boys.
SportsRe: What Has Happened To Osaze Odemwingie by Kgdavid(m): 4:32am On Jun 19, 2010
so somehow odemwingie is playing rubbish because of the formation? Odemwingie started out as a striker and only started playing flank for us under Berti Vogts. he can play either flank. the real problem with him is that he is an average player who has been made to feel great by playing with useless players against useless african teams. now he is getting exposed on the world stage. i still like the guy though.
SportsRe: It's War On South Korea - Yobo by Kgdavid(m): 4:29am On Jun 19, 2010
why dont you? smileyim sure nairalanders would not mind contributing the money for your ticket if you would agree to serve your fatherland by going down to SA to face Joseph Yobo squarely, call him a loser to his face and ask him to shut up. tongue

apparently the girl was charged and has now apologized. the cop's actions are now being investigated though but i doubt much will come out of it.
Foreign AffairsRe: Seattle Police Officer Punches 17yr Old Girl In The Face by Kgdavid(m): 4:11am On Jun 19, 2010
wat exactly was her crime? and why was she being so difficult? i found the whole situation to be highly embarrassing for the cop, i mean wrestling a 17 year old girl in public?? damn! one would have thought that he would have some smart move or "submission hold" to use to incapacitate her. that girl deserved that punch though, sometimes people can be too silly, you want to fight a cop? then, quite literally, prepare to face the wrath of the law.
Foreign AffairsRe: This Is Not Africa's World Cup, But South Africa's by Kgdavid(m): 2:11am On Jun 19, 2010
its the first time the world cup has come to Africa, as simple as that. this is something that should draw all africans together rather than separate us based on some useless sentiment of "its mine not yours".

kobikwelu:
felele,

damn!!! you guys beat me to it,

remmeber those good old days when we play felele cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

we should design our own ball and name it ADIDAS FELELE grin grin grin grin grin

meanyl, the jabulani ball was the cause of the 2nd greece goal against us,

the shot was a direct ball toward enyama, but the ball swerved

a low strait shot towards a goal keeper is a nightmare,
i thought i was the only one that noticed, the swerve the ball took was extremely unnatural for a low shot, the ball is just too sensitive, i mean if you play a long pass the recipient had better control it very very very well on the first touch coz once it bounces its gone

Some referees would have acted differently. Kaita was was wrong - fine.
This referee we are talking about used walkie talkie for his decision, not the linesmen.
If the walkie talkie is a useful tool, what stops them using it to disallow argentina goal against nigeria.
were you informed that FIFA said after the match that there was an infringement against obasi which should have invalidated the argentines goal?.
Dont lose your reasoning because we lost to greece, the bottom line is that we are wasting money in hiring unintelligent foreign coaches. Amoudu or sub amoudu would have given us the same result. I can see alot of deficiencies in largerback's approach and pattern of play which we cannot see in ivorien and even siasia olympics teams.
you are truly Kaitarized ignoramus. so do you think the radio transmitter is a tool that on its own shows whether a foul was committed? the referee uses it communicate with his linesmen, it is like a phone. the linesman obviously did not see samuels foul against obasi and thats all there is to it.
SportsRe: Sani Kaita Apologizes by Kgdavid(m): 10:49am On Jun 18, 2010
a fine gentleman? are you kidding? is this what you call an apology? he is justifying his action by saying the greek player hurt him with the ball, hurt with the ball? how exactly do you hurt someone by pushing a ball onto their chest? what a hypocrite! the initial scuffle between him and the greek guy was fairly harmless and could be excused as silly but nothing in this world justifies raising up your boots to stamp on another player who merely pushed you away after you tried to take the ball from him.
SportsRe: KAITA: A New Word Added To Oxford English Dictionary by Kgdavid(m): 10:34am On Jun 18, 2010
those saying kaita was not at fault for the loss simply do not have a clue about football. i blame both kaita and lagerback. prior to his red card, we were the better of two very poor sides. as soon as he was sent off, we lost our balance and the greek coach immediately sent on an extra striker. as soon as this happened it was clear we would be under pressure as the player we lost was a midfielder. lagerback should have then switched to counter attack mode by bringing on yusuf ayila and martins. and then the formation would have been

Ayila Etuhu
Martins Uche
Yakubu

instead he brought on obasi to basically maintain a four four one formation. a player like haruna is not defensive minded enough to withstand the pressure of playing one man down with an extra attacker playing against you. a look at the two goals will show that the greeks did not create anything special but rather the sheer pressure they were putting on our midfield was too much and we were unable to pin them back from shooting. all this happened because sani kaita decided that since he has no talent to display to the world, he better display his madness
Both Keita and the referee are wrong in my opinion.
1. it is common among players to do such things, and in most cases they get yellow cards. watch it over and over again, the kick didnt touch the greece guy.
2. Why did the referee has to depend on the walkie talkie for his decision, and the same walkie talkie was not used to cancel Argentina goal against Nigeria?
please just shut up if you dont know the rules and technicalities of the game. the linesmen are there to give the referee advice on incidents he may not have seen. dont be a fool, if none of the linesmen was able to pick up samuel's infraction on obasi does it mean that a completely different set of linesmen must not advice the referee correctly? the referee is always in contact with the linesmen whether you are aware of it or not. my friend if you say that it is common for players to do such and get only yellows then you are a useless KAITA yourself. better go and read the rules of football

SportsRe: Why Kaita Should Not Be Blamed : Analysis by Kgdavid(m): 11:25pm On Jun 17, 2010
shadrach77:
now while the whole nation heaps blame on sanin kaita for costing us the match against greece, lets sit back a bit and look at things from a different angle - the red card in question was harsh - really it should have been a yellow as someone who did the same thing in the france vs mexico match got a yellow

now lets move further - why is it possible for teams with ten men to beat us and yet it is impossible for us to beat teams with ten men? doesn't that say something? who said it was impossible for teams with ten men to win matches? lets go down history lane - cameroun beat argentina with 9 - yes 9 men in the 1990 nations cup - and four years later, we lost to a ten man italian team in usa - and just three years ago, a ten man ghanian team beat us on their home soil during the nations cup

and even if we had 11 men on the pitch, who is to say, greece would not have scored anyway - it wasn't as if we had clear-cut domination of the match

why did our boys resort to defending heavily after the red card - it was because they lacked confidence and felt the red card was the end of their world - personally, i expected things to change in the second half but they came out and foolushly kept on defending instead of attacking - greece could sense fear in the nigerian side and they capitalised on that - it's quite obvious that attack is the best form of defense and continous attack means pressure and continous pressure would result in goals

abeg lay of kaita - the eagles were simply not good enough! sad angry angry
r u a baby? this was the most blatant case of a red card i have ever seen before! as soon as he did it i was already shouting even before he was shown the card. how can you say because something happened in another match it proves that this was right? can the referee of the other match not have been in error? better familiarize yourself with the rules of the game
SportsRe: Why Kaita Should Not Be Blamed : Analysis by Kgdavid(m): 11:20pm On Jun 17, 2010
rubbish analysis. greece started the match with a 4 3 3 formation. when kaita got sent off, they brought on an extra striker and took off a defensive midfielder. lagerback should have brought on ayila to defend more and hold on to the one goal advantage.
