i hate that son of a goat! you call yourself a professional?? what a stupid fellow! what exactly has he ever been good for in the team in the first place ![]() |
When a fool makes a fool out of you then you know that indeed you are in trouble. i supported Lars Lagerback wholeheartedly, with the hope that he would change our fortunes, and now, having endured the sight of my proud beloved country stutter and stumble disgracefully before the eyes of the whole world i am now convinced that lars Lagerback is an , a fool, an old buffoon with a withered brain. indeed Amodu was a fool but Lagerback is more foolisher and i most foolishest for being blind to the facts. why was Sani Kaita played out on the right wing today? against greece of all teams? why was Martins on the bench? why not start Adeleye in stead of that bumbling giant clown whose name i dont need to mention? why why why? and all he did was watch watch watch, please just pack your bags and go back to |
has the labour of our heroes past not been in vain? however each time i her it i renew my singular life goal of making a difference for my country, to right the wrongs of the present and create a brighter future for the next generation |
We all no how ugly racism looks and what its ill effects are on society. however, i am of the opinion that a certain level of racism must not be prohibited and to do so infringes on certain human rights. All human beings must be held equal by the sate provided that they are cittizens living within the law. However i think it is wrong to tell the owner of a private enterprise how to run his business. As one of the basic tenets of democracy, your rights extend to such a limit as the point where it begins to infringe on the right of another man. therefore an individual who owns an enterprise should be completely free to run it as he sees fit with minimal governmental interference. this is a tenet of capitalism which is one of the strong features of democracy. therefore to tell a man that he cannot turn away customers of a race he does not like is wrong. it is his business and should be allowed to take such decisions at his own discretion. undeniably racism is morally wrong but legally it should be held acceptable as aristotle said and i quote "the law is reason free from passion". what is the 'reason' in telling the owner of a private company whom to serve? now it has been taken to ridiculous levels where organizations are forced to hire a certain quota of personnel from a minority race. such interference by the government is wrong. does this mean that i would like it if a white man asks me to leave his restaurant? no! but i recognize his right to hate me for no reason. if racism is illegal on moral grounds then by the same reasoning homosexuality should be outlawed. it is a question of the lesser of two great evils, one, a moral evil in the eyes of some of the people or the other, a trend of control and suppression of individual personality of all the people? |
they were also rumored to be interested in apam. would be great for Nigerian football if these moves go through. |
mamma gee, just asking, how come you suddenly love football so much? |
sounds like he actually thinks they are better than us, laughable |
a matured azeez might be good enough to have had an impact though, not necessarily as he is now, same thing for lukman. |
^ why bother with that fellow? he is best ignored. he's been reported to the proper authorities, let them do their job. |
While some critics were disappointed by Nigerias showing against Argentina, i on the other hand drew out some salint points that have given me great encouragement. on that day we set out to defend and we were doing that reasonably fine and no argentinian player with the exception of messi was able to cause us much trouble. Messi is the best player in the world and there is a reason for that. it is because he rips defenses apart day in day out so what kind of robots do we have in nigeria that are immune to talent? the other point i wanted to make was the fact that people keep on saying that it was only Enyeama that kept us in the game, an assesment i fully agree with but one that could be misleading when interpreted wrongly. enyeama made about four/five great saves from messi which had he failed to do might have changed the game. however if you single out Enyeama as the eagles star player then it stands to reason that messi should be singled out as argentinas best player. apart from messi's four/five dangerous moments, only higuain had a clear cut chance and nigeria equally had two or three clear cut chances of our own. supposing the two(enyeama and messi) were absent from the game what would have been the outcome? the other two argentine strikers, tevez and higuain were very well handled by the Nigerian defense and although our midfield of Etuhu and Haruna could be considered slighly inferior to Mascherano and Veron they are fully capable of holding their own against them. we also saw that the argentinian defense was highly suspect especially when our coach changed tactics and introduced our most potent attackers (odemwingie, martins, uche). on any other day, when nigeria are ready to play without the threat of the worlds best player tearing us apart, we are going to see a formidable nigerian team. let greece and south korea quake when they hear our name. nigeria will do well in this world cup. |
so when they swarmed the palace why could the police not also swarm the palace, arrest them and let them swarm some cells? |
Jarus:good points but i'm not really comparing them as such, its more of taking stock |
snakova:lol. i rather surprised that adefemi didnt make it either, not olubayo adefemi the right back but olufemi adefemi or something like that. i thought he was a good player. |
yakubu alfa is the one im looking for, how do you guys rate him? to me he is very similar to sani kaita but i also consider kaita to be a poor player so what do y'all think? |
do you know Enyeama scored 9 goals for his club as well as bagging a few assists? |
today we must thank vincent enyeama for what he has done for his country. i was amazed to check him out on youtube and i saw so many videos of him with extremely positive comments from foreigners comparing him even to casillas. vincent enyeama is a true son of nigeria and i am extremely proud of him. let no one think that what vincent did against argentina was a lucky fluke, no way! his videos will confirm that this guy knows what he is doing. who says he is not up there with the best? to vincent, i pray for you and may God continue to bless you with skills and may you eventually receive the promotion that you deserve. the child that washes his hands shall eat with the elders and you have washed your hands thoroughly, may you now receive your invitation to the table of the elders. Amen |
he is good, but the others are better, again that depends on how he develops from here. guys Obiora Nwankwo is a defender isn't he? Siasia used him as a midfielder and he was good there but that was a temporary arrangement i think. whats the name of the other u20 DM? one hausa boy like that |
Haruna: he's simply the most unskilled footballer in Nigeria's history, wonder where the NFA got him from to participate in the World Cup. Dude can't even kick a corner kick right, bagging up yellow cards and offences here and there. Mikel: he's simply an average skilled player but thinks he's all that thinking Nigeria would lose without him plus his money is beginning to get into his head definitely a spolit brat. Rabiu: I have never seen or heard of that name before but from the evidence of Nigeria's match on Friday, I can tell he's not terrific either. Azeez: One of the unknown players in the Nigerian team but I'm guessing he isn't that terrific.
Mama Gee: annoying little girl ![]() |
what a shame but i have to say i am not surprised at all. a leopard cannot change its spots and since most of these NFF boys are animals what else do we really expect from them? guy post a link abeg, let me look at the pictures of those animals ( i love wild life) |
Ghana did not even play their best eleven. Appiah definately should have started. i think the best possible Ghanaian formation at the moment would be Derek Boateng Appiah Muntari Prince Boateng Gyan Asamoah/ Owusu Abeyie you have got to play to your strengths and ghana's strength is their incredible wealth of midfield talent |
quite true, there are even more talented players who are still a little bit under the radar such as Kayode Olarenwaju, that kid is good as well. just imagine having defenders like Apam, Chukwudi, Adeleye, Edet, Udoh, Omeruo and others, forwards like okoro, salami, anichebe, s. emmanuel, king osanga, thats why im not much bothered by the nonsensical players we have now. we just need to make sure that proper preparations are put in place and the eagles shall fly again |
interesting, i omitted Okoro initially because he is more of a forward but a formation of Mikel Haruna Haruna Ibrahim Okoro would be very very potent. |
seriously although i had doubts about Enyeama's quality on the international stage he has always been my favorite eagles player simply for his charisma. he has this very animated sort of character and a way of behaving that shows he is a big boy, three cheers for Vincent Enyeama, a super cool dude! |
hauler:who in turn should talk to their crappy midfield to protect them more often |
With the emergence of Haruna Lukman form the shadows coinciding with the absence of john Obi Mikel from the Super Eagles, an interesting way to get some perspective on the issue of who Nigeria's best midfielder is would be to rate all four key midfielders we are likely to use in the next six years. Name Position Raw Talent Level Current Impact Level Projected Impact level Mikel D.M 75% 60% 80% Haruna C.M 70% 40% 70% Ibrahim A.M 80% 30% 80% Azeez C.M 70% 70% 75% where raw talent is pretty self explanatory, current impact level refers to the impact they have had on the current level of the national team that they play/ed at and projected impact refers to what each players optimized input to the team should be ceteris paribus. Based on my talent chart which reads as: Name Tackling Passing Awareness Scoring Dribbling Mikel 50% 70% 80% 5% 50% Haruna 55% 60% 50% 60% 60% Ibrahim 30% 60% 40% 60% 70% Azeez 50% 70% 70% 60% 40% conclusion: John Obi Mikel has progressed through the ranks for Nigeria, managing to play an important role in the national team set up at each level. Having been transformed from a fluid attacking midfielder to a solid defensive midfielder, many Nigerians have had doubts as to Mikel's quality which has not been aided by the fact that Mikel's coaches at national team level doggedly refuse to use him in his new and improved capacity. With his immaculate passing, excellent positioning and great strength, Mikel is the future of the Nigeria in defensive midfield. i suggest Nigerians accept that he is never gong to live up to the billing of the new Okocha. the more appropriate tag might be “the new Oliseh”. Haruna Lukman has risen through the ranks in a similar fashion to Mikel, while drawing less attention perhaps because of the more noticeable talents of his colleague Rabiu Ibrahim. Haruna is a box to box midfielder with good passing skills, a good shot and a decent skills. Perhaps he is the natural replacement for Christian Obodo? Widely hailed as the new Okocha(yet again) upon has arrival on the Nigerian football scene, Rabiu Ibrahim has since failed to rise to the occasion. Blessed with great skill and play making ability, Ibrahim has all the capacity to go on and make a name for himself. perhaps he is a bit over rated though? Not the new Okocha but maybe the new Oruma. Ramon Azeez emerged as one of the outstanding talents of the u17 world cup recently held in Nigeria. The young man has great passing skills and a playing style akin to that of his senior compatriot john Obi Mikel, as well as being the possessor of a very hot shot. according to media reports, Azeez has already attracted interest from both Manchester city and Manchester united setting the stage for an uncanny repeat of the 2005 transfer war involving the Mikel, Manchester United and 'new money' boys Chelsea. the world is set before Azeez and nigerians will be hoping that Azeez lives up to his potential and plays his part in what could easily become Nigeria's most powerful midfield four of all time. Mikel Haruna Azeez Ibrahim |
well personally the reason why i could never watch south african league matches was because of the extremely monotonous dull irritating blare of the vuvuzela and i was extremely incensed on saturday when the vuvuzela almost drowned our national anthem, thats just rubbish that i have never seen done anywhere else. one can seen how goal keepers really have to scream to communicate on the pitch. if you ask me, this is the world cup and there is a lot of excitement but anything that takes away from the actual football being played should be dealt with. most foreign nationals detest it and since its been proven to be dangerous for hearing then it should be banned Asap. |
should definitely have been onyewu |
one of them even had the stupidity to call gerrard a defender and he is here running his mouth on a subject he is evidently not familiar with. our players are the problem. sani kaita is frankly very embarrassing to watch, etuhu is infuriatingly cavemanish, haruna is a one eyed man in the country of the blind and people had better realize that odemwingie is an extremely average player by international standards. what wonders are you expecting from this team? i have said it and will keep saying it, the future generation is where the promise lies. |
the formation was a clear 4 3 3 and kaita did not play 7. he played on the right side of the midfield trio with nsofor playing wide, i guess everyone is entitled to their opinions, i for one am not happy but im satisfied. My main problem with Amodu's team was not even the fact that they could not score and win but rather the fact that they looked utterly pointless on the pitch. they could barely even string four to five passes together. lagerback on the other hand has come in with only one month(with the players) so far and at the very least there is evidence of a shape and formation and of tactics. as for certain tactics which were employed today, it was obvious that we were playing a counter attack minded formation which we had no choice but to use as nigeria is simply not on the level of argentina. to the person that claimed these argentinians were the same ones that played the olympics final you better stop fabricating false info. out of Samuel,Demichelis, Gutierezz, Heinze, Mascherano, Veron, Tevez, Higuain, Milito which one of them played that final? it was only Messi and Di Maria. even brazil would know no shame in losing 1-0 to argentina. these are not even nigerias best players with two of our most talented (mikel and I.Uche) missing out. i thank God that none of you bitter people will ever be the ones to dictate the direction for Nigeria. mr Lagerback please carry on. |
nigeria lost today because our players are of inferior stock. particularly the midfielders, this is where one begins to appreciate mikel, when etuhu and kaita are getting run over anyhow. if i ever had doubts about the quality of enyeama they have been wiped away today. i can see no one wants to give yakubu his due, the man was great today, welcome back yak. i keep saying that if only odemwingie, haruna, uche and martins start together we willl see wonders from the team. i guess lagerback wanted to keep things tight defensively. well all in all its pretty much what i expected from a nigeria argentina game. did anyone else notice that samuels fouled obasi in the build up to their goal? he might have been in a position to defend that ball was he not held back. looks like taye is out of the world cup with that injury |
deene:like the match vs north korea? |
