NwaMary1:
Thank you for the good work you're doing
Please can one doing masters in Cyprus transfer to another country during the course of the program?

Yes you can, provided you have your transcript complete up to the previous semester.

If you're not aware of how transfers work, let me try to explain.

The school you're transferring to will assess your transcript and see how it matches with the department you're transferring into. Whichever course you passed in your transcript, will be removed from the curriculum of the department you're transferring to (if it's present).

So for instance, if you passed 10 courses that are present in the new departments curriculum, and you not have to do those courses again. What's left, minus those 10 courses, is what you will take. It does not work like in Nigeria where you can transfer to "200 level" or something like that. Just so you know.

I hope my explanation was clear enough.

I wish to apply for a master program in cyprus
Please which school is accepting students now

All schools are accepting applications for the Spring 2018 semester. However, I only work with the following schools in Northern Cyprus:
- Near East University
- Cyprus International University
- European University of Lefke

In you're interested in any of these schools through me, I could process your admission into one of them for Spring 2018 intake. You can email me via info@deqeoconsulting.info

Alexkene:
Guys, I am interested in applying to European University of Lefke (EUL) for Undergraduate Bachelors degree. I don't understand the academic calendar. I want to enroll for the Spring Semester starting in February 2018. When would I be finishing year 1? How many months does an academic year lasts? Thanks guys.

Hello Alexkene,

Spring semester is from February/March to June, while Fall semester is from September/October to January. There is a summer break (usually about 3 months) between Spring and Fall semesters, which spans from the end of June, towards the end of September. Between Fall and Spring semesters, there is a few weeks break (usually less than a month).

So if you start in Spring (February 2018), your first year will end at the end of Fall, which is around January.

I hope this is clear enough.

I have turned the internet upside down, and yet to find any codes that work (without crashing). I am trying to integrate a webcam (or any connected camera) with my VB.Net application using Visual Studio 2013.

Has anyone had experience with this in the passed? Successfully integrated webcam with your VB.Net app?

Thanks in advance!
Education / Re: To Nairalanders In Cyprus. by kheme(m): 3:48pm On Aug 19, 2016
Depending on your location, housing can cost from 100GBP to 300GBP per month. Feeding is up to the individual, but typically ranges from $200 to $800 per month. You can convert these at the current exchange rate to get the Naira equivalent.

While I was there, I was spending about 1,300 (less than N150k naria, or less than $450) lira monthly on feeding and accommodation and other expenses (like electricity, water, etc.).
Education / Re: To Nairalanders In Cyprus. by kheme(m): 11:13am On Aug 16, 2016
@willjoe I see you tried to contact me.

I'm no longer in Cyprus, but there are several options in terms of jobs, depending on your location.

You can work on campus, as a student assistant, in places like the library, computer center, hostel, etc. Then you can work at nearby markets, doing sales or delivery, that kind thing. There's also construction jobs, restaurants, hotels, car wash, and so on.

All of these jobs pay differently and have different working hours too. So you have to find something you're comfortable with.

Health / Seriously... Help!!! by kheme(m): 2:36pm On Jul 17, 2013
So here's my story...

About 3 month ago, i went on a stupid fast (or diet, as some people call it). For about 1 week (9 days) i ate only salads (very very rich salad i make) and nothing else (besides water and juice).

After the salad phase, i went on water-only for 2 days. Due to the serious headaches whenever i'm hungry, i couldn't go beyond 2 days on water.

Now, after i resumed regular eating, i noticed the following changes...

1. my stomach shrunk (this was expected though) so i eat a lot less and i get full very easily
2. my appetite multiplied! Whether i'm hungry or not, i still feel like eating! even when i'm full... i still feel like eating. i constantly feel like putting things in my mouth and chewing... this has been going on for 2 months now!
3. my body metabolism seems to have slowed down now. i can have a proper meal and feel full for the next 6 hours! The sad part is... in those 6 hours, i would still want to eat more and more.

Seriously... help!

has anyone been in this situation or similar situation before? Or what can i do to return my appetite back to normal

Smaller stomach is fine by me... slower metabolism, i'm okay with. but supper appetite... that's a NOOOOO!!!

Seriously, help!

hi, sorry to ask. when was this rule made?

one of my students was a the embassy on Wednesday and didn't have to book an appointment. i'm not sure why they keep saying to book appointment online. my last student was told same last year (i know it's last year) but the embassy emailed her later saying she should just come apply. same was the case for another student back then.

so i guess just be persistent ? i don't know

the last time i check (last week), it was about $1,400 for 1 year return ticket. but as you know, flight prices change daily. so let me know the dates you wanna fly and i can give the the price for those dates.

as for EMU, i do represent another university (European University of Lefke) on the island. There's more information on my website at www.deqeoconsulting.info

But basically, all undergraduate tuition at EUL is $3,000 cos of the scholarship. Registration fees, health insurance, tax, etc. brings this amount to about $3,600

Accommodation ranges between $1,000 and $5,000 per person per year, all depending if you're sharing with room/house mates or not, facilities and proximity to campus (i spend $2,000 per year for my place).

school dorm is $2,500 for TWO semesters only. if you wanna stay in summer, you'd have to pay a little extra money.

cost of living also ranges from $100 to $500 monthly. i spend about $300 monthly, which includes bills, internet, phone credits, feeding, etc.

i hope this helps

try www.zymic.com i've been using them for years. free hosting, supports php and mysql, no adverts, you can use your own domain name. only limitations are number of simultaneous ftp users and you can't upload certain file types like .chm else, they're perfect!

comments and criticisms welcome :-)

Thanks in advance

@NikkyBobo: Admission is currently open in the European University of Lefke. Admission will be open until middle of September, so you can still apply and make it down here before end of October (worse case).

As for your age, EUL also has same age limit for undergraduate programs. But as long as you have something to show that you've been "busy" in the last couple of years, i can talk to the university to exempt you from the age limit restriction.

same goes for anyone else here looking for cheap flights. We can compare prices between my agent here in Cyprus and yours, and you go for the cheaper.
