As you stated earlier that love and other pretences soon fade away and we are left with our bare natures. Do I keep pretending I don't know I am physically and financially entitled to call the shots as it would be if she was my junior sister or colleague. Do I need to accommodate power tussles and insubordination from a woman who feels tired of remonstrating and letting me have the upper hand.
I have always swallowed the bitter pills of combative and argumentative women in relationship with so much difficulty just to appear civil and not necessarily because I think its okay. My opinion: There are stuff about men that women find attractive and vice versa. If these qualities converge with things that require a woman to submit at the time, why not. Examples of such would be a man taking control of finances in the house and making sure things are in order...confidently. Women expect these things and will always allow these things to happen without complaining of being suffocated by male misogyny.
Same way a man might submit to his wife when it comes to her forte...some women are great counselors....if you know this you can confidently swallow your pride and ask for her counsel.
In terms of sex some woman want to be taken any where and have the man dictate everything....some however want to take charge sometimes and expect their men to submit to them in exchange for great rewards. Same with men. Most want to take charge cos they think its expected of them (or they jux love to be in control), others love it when the woman initiates sex and takes control.
In any case submission is not set in stone...as much as the bible says to submit to husbands please lets not be dunces and not realise that sometimes culture gets mixed up. Everything evolves including relationships. What worked then won't necessarily work now and we must evolve with that too. But what does the Bible truly say concerning the believer in Christ and spiritual marriage?
First, the believer in Christ is possessed of God spirit, soul and body. He is God’s property bought with the precious blood of His Son.

The above verse says both your body and spirit are God’s own since He paid a price for them.
Having purchased you for Himself, He joined you together with Christ via His Spirit. “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” 1 Corinthians 6:17
Like an already purchased item would be marked and separated so no one except the owner tampers with it, God also marked your spirit, soul and body “mine” so no other strange spirit husband goes near you.
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14
You are now joined or married to only one man - Jesus. And by that union, He has delivered you forever from the power and reach of darkness.

Peter in his writing also gave witness to this complete deliverance we have in Christ.

So don’t let a mere dream disturb the peace of your heart nor let any man trouble you with dream interpretations that do not have concrete footing in the scripture.
The believer in Christ does not, cannot and will never ever have any other spiritual husband apart from Christ. This is what the Bible teaches.
Do not take whatever any demon might have said at various “deliverance” prayer sessions as a basis to believe in spirit husbands or spirit wives. According to Jesus, the Devil is a liar and the father of it. He is an expert at presenting lies as truth. Only the Word holds the truth and we should stick to it. It’s quite simple. You praise the name of the Lord, hand over the dream to God and go about your daily life like nothing happened.
If the Lord drops an interpretation in your heart (not contrary to the scriptures like the idea of Spirit spouse and kids) you pray and run with it. If you do not receive any special interpretation about it, you still trust His Word. Either way, be at complete rest, your Saviour got your back.
Most times, dreams like the two above are just our bodies and mind working together to bring the need for intimacy to attention.

I don't agree with the bible quote, i simply know what is right. Do you know why i say so? Because its the same bible people use to convince people to pay tithes so they get fat while the people remain poor yet these people defend paying money to these crooks and say to themselves "its between them and God, i have done my bit" forgetting they are reinforcing the bad behaviour. Let us look at a scenario from the bible.
Peter was asked if he was a follower of Jesus and he lied to save his life. In the eyes of many people, Peter did the right thing - a realist position
However, Peter realised God would not be happy with him for the lies even though he used them to save his life and Peter repented in tears. Why should somebody cry for doing something that will save his life - because the man realised what he did is not Godly. And that is God's position.
If telling lies to save a life could warrant repentance, how much more killing a baby in the womb?
However, if a person finds himself in a situation, I am saying that let them go back to God and ask what they should do.

annyplenty: I did not say doctors are not needed. if there is a need for you to perform an operation whose aim is not to terminate a life, visit the doctors and go ahead but you still need to pray for the operation to be successful. In this case you may not need to ask God if you could do the operation because you would not be violating any of God's rule if you did but if the operation if aiming at killing one for the other to live, you cannot just go ahead. You need to hear from God or pray for his leading. And that is why we are given the Holy Spirit for such a time and occurrence.
