Mothers: Pls do not give honey to infants especially when they are less than 1 year old. Honey is a natural remedy but also a source of bacteria to infants. |

customised87: Hello mamas,my six month old plus that i just introduced solids to passes hard stool and he may even go like 3-4days b4 straining and passing the stool. I make sure i give him fresh orange juice mixed with water or mashed bananas every afternoon but he is still constipated. The foods i just introduced to him are pap, boiled egg, fish, mashed potatoes. I also give him water to drink though he doesnt like drinking water but i thought the orange should suffice. What else can i do to help him soften the stools? Thanks The orange juice will not suffice. He needs to drink water by all means. Try sipping cups, bottles, spoons or directly from a cup. My son prefers to drink water from the cup like an adult. Some babies prefer spoon . He just has to drink a lot of water once he starts solids. |

mydreams25: Mothers pls how can i help my baby to crawl comfortably ,he wants to crawl but all the floors in our house is tiled and am scared of putting him down. No it won't hurt him. When he first starts to crawl, you might need to stay closely with him to avoid him rolling over but once he perfects the art of crawling, then you can give him more freedom. But then remember that you can never leave a crawling baby for too long, they tend crawl to places you least imagine and pick up all sorts as they are crawling by. |

@ kayjasper She doesn't have any problem with her toasters, her only problem is her unstable mind. If she has made a commitment to marry her fiancé but still has that "fear that she might mess up soon", then she needs to take a step backward and ask herself what she truly wants at this stage. Some women who marry early feel miserable afterwards that they were not given enough time to "rock", hence, their whole married life is full of regrets which in turn affect their families. And in some extreme cases, they go out of their marriages to have this belated fun. As much as she loves this guy and wants to marry him sometime, she should ask herself if that time is now. She needs to be cock sure she is ready to take the marriage vow to avoid a lifetime of regret. TV01 - Mr go young, go young, go young - here you are |

Doubledouble: Thanks for the advice, you made some good points. Truth be told wigs are safer than weaves n braids, IMO. Wigs are worn only wen u are going out...most ppl using wigs take it off when home. A good wig doesn't shed n u mostly comb it on its stand in the bathroom. You also get to wash both wigs n yo hair regularly unlike weaves n braids. They all got disadvantages, it is all about being careful n hygienic. How often if at all do we was our braids?? Strands of the hair come off from the tips of braids too n now that is mega sharp. If we want no hair wahala at all, then one's natural hair is d way to go! But honestly, thanks u made sense...cos now weaves, wigs or braids...am going to be more careful now... I perfectly agree, I think short wigs make better sense for nursing mothers. It has enough flexibility. Thanks. |

Doubledouble: I actually detest wigs but got no choice. My plan is to loose the hair piece a week b4 EDD, wash n matte, then do wig. Took 2 wigs: 1, very good human hair n closure was used to make it( will loose it from wig n continue fixing when back in 9ja), the 2nd one was made with chocolate hair. That way am totally covered...my hair is natural n don't want these "oyinbos" to ruin it. Mamas, pls lets all be careful with wigs and weaves when we've had our LOs. There are 2 many disadvantages - - The hairs keep falling everywhere making the environment unsafe for babies - if ingested by babies, they are sometimes poisonous(they come from different sources and go through several chemical processing) - the strands could be very sharp (I have cut myself while pulling the hair many times) - mothers with long weaves tend to cover the babies' faces without realizing it esp when we carry out LOs on our shoulders to belge - when the hair gets dirty grow some dandruff, we scratch continuously and still go ahead to carry our LOs with the same hands. |

bellong: I was with the gods... As usual, you failed to come, you have been missing lessons.
What's up? The humans need me more now but I will come soon. Actually, I have come to reclaim one of my promises from the gods. My paper is somewhat ready, I need the eyes of the elders to take another look at it. I have often heard you say what an elder sees from a distance, the child standing on a ladder could never see it. I need to get my referencing right now. The promises have to be fully delivered this time around. I have 2 moon days to give a final feedback. What say ye the gods? Pray the gods to accede to my request |

Chinwendym: You are welcome!
Abeg o I has a questions is asun good to eat in this condition? the way I am craving for that delicacy is outta this world but I'm scared of the pepper will it harm my baby? Its so peppery that I have to drink milk or yoghurt afterwards! It's not the pepper you should fear, it's the meat itself. Avoid suya, asun or other smoked and grilled meat or fish. You need meat that is well cooked to avoid transfer of any stuff to your system. |

I actually paid the 7k to the caretaker because at least a meal per day is sure here (from neighbours) which is not possible if I start living/sleeping in the classroom and I need to stay at Ife to løok for something to be doing. Surprised now. Sent something through a friend which I didn't see up there. I have followed up and you should receive before COB. @ rent - No issues. Good luck! |

Timbuktou: Lol. Kimoni, the instruction is mostly exemplary, but there'll be verbal teaching no doubt. Train up a child in the way he should go is no weightless admonition. My son already knows to appreciate pretty girls and I didn't even teach him that. Now imagine how much better he'll be with my influence, I'm his god mirror, for now. He wants to do everything I do. I am his standard.
I'm sure you have an olosho friend or two and if not friend, someone you grew up with. How come they didn't influence you into oloshoism? I'm willing to bet someone did a good job training you. I'm also guessing they taught you how to identify quality men from the pretenders.
I will set tests, oral, written and practical for my sons and daughters, Kimoni . I'm leaving nothing to chance, and anyone bent on tarnishing the family name and legacy might just go swim with the fishes Funny post Tim. Again, I agree, train up a child.... I corrected something in your first paragraph |
