Politics / Re: Remitted N973Million:Goodluck Jonathan, NOT President Buhari Recovered The Money by Kingbilo(m): 6:03pm On Sep 15, 2015
Reyginus:
My only concern is on the truth and the impact of these lies on the Nigerian psyche. There are some who will tell you that the current government has done what the past could not do and Nigeria is changing for the good.

But then when you look around you still see the same things you saw yesterday. The same statistical change in the past regime, which had no impact on the masses, is also the same change (in this case yet to be evident), being hailed as what the masses want.

Lies everywhere. Propaganda going deep in the heart of man to root a tree of hatred. And the past regime is the worst in the history of the country. Really? Then you wonder where the other criminals come from. I don't think we will ever find peace in this country with all these.

Well, at least my fridge is cold..lol. I cannot say some change hasn't been affected in my life tongue

But seriously..you are right on one hand but on the other, change is a very gradual process. Even if you get your dream job today, you cannot get your car and house the same day...
I'm just patiently waiting till next year when oil prices stabilise and buhari has done 365 days. Then I can make a proper judgement. Too much politics in the news for it to make any sense to the sensible

Please check them well. Also give them immunisations and vaccines because power corrupts....

Many people think all politicians come into power with bad intentions.. Nah.. It builds up overtime.

What I hope is that whatever standards or KPI they use to benchmark these people today is the same or even lower than what will be used in future..

Career / Re: Official Car For Assistant Manager, Nothing For The Manager by Kingbilo(m): 9:23am On Sep 13, 2015
[b]Lol. I'm looking at your post, your replies to ppls advice and your profile..I'm concluding you are a very arrogant and egotistical. Maybe that's what makes you such a great worker. But its also what could destroy you in the end. Learn to kill your hate and distrust for other people. Nothing is your right if it wasn't in your contract. Don't let something that isn't yours make you lose what you already have

One more thing..education and knowledge are always evolving.. In agric especially I would be surprised if the subordinates had less efficient, radical ideas about how stuff is done.. But if everyone who is the best at the TECHNICAL side of things is promoted to manager. You will likely be sacked in 3 years simply because there is always someone who is smarter behind you. Experience is valued. What the old man sees sitting down is not what the young child can see standing up. You might think all he does is move money around.. But trust me, there are lots of responsibilities you might not fully understand until you fill the position you are looking for..

Lmaoooo. Is this even a question.

Most of y'all don't even know the true origin of rings.. They were used as a symbol of ownership. Basically a man marking his woman as his property. This same thing you are so proud to wear now. grin
Politics / Re: Tension As Governors Sit On Bailout Fund by Kingbilo(m): 2:35pm On Sep 12, 2015
Oh. I see Anambra isn't there. And we are all employed on top of that.. Sipping chilled cocoa..

Anyway, hope you guys understand what is going on here.. There are several ways to skin a cat..and by skin a cat I mean chop government money.. Last administration had its own methods which governors used to fleece the country.. This administration has shaken things up a bit.. Governors are yet to come to terms with it.. This is their response.. One thing is certain though..when you have tasted the type of money they tasted in previous administrations, doing the honourable thing seems tantamount to slavery...

People of Nigeria, pity them small let them do fixed deposit with your salary.. They are suffering cry cry.

Travel / Re: Photo: Syrian Migrants Push Away African Refugees From Boat by Kingbilo(m): 1:14pm On Sep 10, 2015
Don't think this is a matter of racism. The Syrians in that boat think they have earned the right to be in the boat due to the well publicised hardships they now endure. They believe the African is taking advantage of their plight to further his own agenda. Unfortunately that's the way they are justifying it Sha. In my opinion any body who is in this situation has endured enough hardship already. It's sad. Very few ppl have an all encompassing view of humanity.

Hating another race because they hate you is not going to help anyone. I worked in an Arab country. I'm proud to say I'm Nigerian and they welcome me with open arms. Not everything you see between two races is racism pls

Phones / Re: How Long Do You Use A Phone Before Getting A New One? by Kingbilo(m): 7:01pm On Sep 09, 2015
Used my galaxy s3 for exactly 2 years. I never changed anything on the phone. Not even the battery. Most ppl mistake it for new sef. Eventually I gave it to my bro because I was tired of it.
My benchmark is that 2 years.

Laptop is a different case grin . I got my laptop 8 years ago. But it was top of the line then cost $1000 which was about 150k back then . it's just become obsolete for regular games like Fifa. Only thing I changed on the laptop was battery.

My next laptop will be top of the line for sure. Andni intend to use it for 5 years minimum

Just goes to show. Buy smart, buy quality and maintain it, take good care of it.... It will last for you.

Phones / Re: Have You Ever Used A Phone With A Non Removable Battery? by Kingbilo(m): 10:27am On Sep 09, 2015
iscom:
have you ever used a phone with a non removable battery? If yes what is your experience? I'm just curious to know why some phones are built with non removable battery. Does the phone get faulty before the battery or battery before phone? If the battery is weak or faulty and the phone is still new, then what happened to the phone? Did you manage to change the battery? How? D

I'm currently using one with non removable battery.

Advantage:
1 Less moving parts means the phone is a bit more sturdy.
2 more likely to survive a quick dunk in water even without IP ( waterproof \dustproof) rating
3 I think the non removable batteries are more durable (can be used for more cycles discharging and recharge)

Disadvantage:
1 of course you are betting on the battery lasting longer than the phone..and in most cases it will
2 If the battery doesnt last its best to give it to a registered shop for changing.

My advice is, if you plan to use your phone longer than 2 years.. (Most batteries should do OK for that lifetime) .
Then get a removable one. No warranties last longer than that period and its really tough and expensive changing after that.
Also if you do get a non removable battery, please use the charger that came with the phone always.

This is so barbaric and insane, if he truly did that, in jail he will rot!. But due to a particular incident of a neighbour i witnessed over the weekend of a 6 year old girl and a 30 year old guy, at the end of the day we were all shocked it was actually 2 women in the house that brainwashed and threatened the girl to lie on the guy, that he fondled her! Imagine the defamation of character and shame that had caused. I will like us to hear from the lawyer also about what really transpired, and if he did it, in jail he will rot! (Not all grandmas are nice!)

Same thing I was thinking. It's getting easier and easier to falsify these cases. We need to keep righteous indignation from clouding proper judgement. The original story sounded very suspect when I read it.
Phones / Re: Reply To "Why I Will Never Use Tecno Phones Again": My Opinion. by Kingbilo(m): 2:37pm On Aug 31, 2015
DjAndroid:
My lay - man's opinion on some issues raised in this thread.
https://www.nairaland.com/2562826/why-never-use-tecno-phones

That your brand of Tecno can't be upgraded OTA is not enough to say it is a scam. Samsung galaxy note 3 and galaxy S5 were the first and only two phones (not sure though) that came with USB 3.0. But the succeeding galaxy note 4 was launched with USB 2.0 -a downgrade. Will it be said that Samsung is a scam?

You dumped Tecno for Infinix? grin grin grin
You are still where you were. Are both of them not MTK devices? They are! They use mediatek processor with some others including:
Alcatel
Gionee
HTC
Huawei
Lenovo
Xiaomi ......etc.

So, when the Op, said he dumped Tecno, I expected to hear that he went for something higher, with a qualcomm snapdragon but I was disappointed to hear "infinix".Apart form the OTA update, can you tell other differences between the tecno and the infinix?

You updated you new infinix hot note from 4.4 to 5.1 and call it "value for money" that's your opinion cos
I wonder what that really means. I have compared my colleague's galaxy note 4 running lollipop and my note3 running kitkat and saw no reason to upgrade.

Lastly, I think Tecno is more expensive because it is the most popular among those MTK devices. As Your infinix is becoming popular, the price will also be increasing too.

You enjoyed the FLAGSHIP, ALMIGHTY(according to you) tecno phantom z, but when you discovered you can't upgrade OTA, you labelled it a "scam" bros that singular deficiency is not enough for the name calling.

My humble opinion.

Note: I dont use Tecno.

Funny how you accused the original writer of dwelling on a singular deficiency(OTA update) then put your foot in your mouth by dwelling on a singular deficiency( mediatek vs Qualcomm)

2.25m per day? Do you mean they wo have to but equipment daily? Mr man, pls be rational, so we don't argue for argument sake. I'm talking about making these people civil servants, whose job are gonna last till they retire and be pensionable, a way to create employment. Set up might be expensive but long term, its better and more economical. The advantages are enormous. This money-bait techniques is not it at all.

News flash bro.. Civil service is NOT economical in Nigeria. The job 5 ppl do here can be done by one person in other countries... One of the major issues Nigeria has is that the public sector is massively bloated. It might be economical to the people getting the job but to the government it doesn't make sense
