Please house help a brother. I just acquired a 2003 RX300 AWD model. sometimes when I slow down in traffic or drive slowly and about to pace up I usually notice the vehicle trying to forcefully come to a halt which it overcomes and starts running smoothly till I get to traffic again. sometimes it does not happen at all. whenever it happens there is a light at the dashboard which flashes,showing a vehicle skidding off but not the VSC light.
Please I need help on this. Thanks in anticipation

If a responsible buyer needs the Vin of a vehicle all he has to do is reach out to seller.

if a responsible honest and truthful seller abroad advertised a car, he post VIN, even in car dealerships, brand new cars listed for sales on sites have VIN displayed, why are you afraid to do the needful and keep everyone quiet rather you, claiming to be a 'responsible' seller result to subtle insults.

There's a reason 2 numbers were listed for further enquiries. A number of prospective buyers have reached out to me from this platform and Vin and videos have been sent to them. Let's all act responsibly and do the right thing.

City driving wears down vehicles far more than highway driving...sitting in traffic for hours with the sun hitting the leather interior is more than enough to wear down the leather of even a meticulously maintained vehicle with low mileage


Extreme weathers whether hot or cold also fucj up leather interiors ...as well as inappropriate cleaning of the vehicle's interior.


I doubt the mileage too..but without the Vin, there is no way one can include incontrovertibly prove that's not the car's real mileage...

And NO...u can't know a vehicle's mileage just by considering its interior wear and tear.

Like I said earlier, the seller can prove me wrong by providing VIN. I still stand by my own opinion on wear and tear due to mileage.

The city driving wears a car more than highway driving doesn't always hold true in Nigeria. Our highways will stress the living day light off any vehicle easily due to its bumps and pothole ridden nature.

Besides, 67,000 miles on a 2009 Honda Accord till date is highly doubtful. On the average, 15,000 miles is the distance Americans drive per annum.

Nigerians do anywhere between 10,000-15,000 miles per annum. Its also a Honda which is a perfectly good example of a daily driver car and not some Rolls Royce or Bentley.

15,000 miles multiplied by 10 years should give around 150,000 miles.

And yes, you can easily deduce the rate of aging, wear and tear in a car when you look at it with with the eyes of a professional. This may not be known to non professionals.

I'm currently a 7 months dad to the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Her name is Paris.

The first 3 months were the tough months because she was an alarm clock at a particular hour of the night mostly around 2/3am ... From that time till almost daybreak it's straight up vigilante work.

But after the 3 months, she starts sleeping like us and it was a case of who would wake up from bed firstly.

The first 6 months was exclusive breast feeding, I only bough clothes and pampers, NO feed.

It's not as hard as it seems. If you love your child, everything will be easy sacrifice.

You'd be changing clothes every 2-3 months, wipes, diapers, feeds, drugs and baby's nutritional supplements, school fees, etc

the oil shortage is probably from the rings,next buyer needs to change the engine,so minus engine money and repost updated price

Hope you know the engine of those things are between 950k-1.2m, if it's the TFSI, TSI or FSI 4 Cylinder engine?

Based on my observations. Here are the conditions I do not hear the noise.

I do not hear it when I;

1. drive slowly over an unlevel, undulating terrain. Those unasphalted street areas where you can't speed even if you want to.
2. go over a speed bump
3. enter a pothole (slowly)
4. drive over a (perfectly) smooth asphalted road, no matter how long the drive is.


I hear it when I;

1. drive a little fast (30-40km/hr) over an unasphalted road with lots of stone - the parts that's relatively level.
2. drive over that's cracks on the asphalt road. Or over the rough patch of the road where they seem to put more asphalt and forgot to level it.

At this point, I'd suggest your mechanic to check all the bolts on the transaxle subframe (front beam), all the suspension components on the front end, and also check all bushings and try to re tighten the bolts appropriately.

I feel either one or more bushing is weak and stretching or your shocks is a bit weak

I'd never buy or drive a car without a functional primary and Secondary Restraint Safety (SRS) System (pretentioner belt and SRS airbag inclusive). Owning or driving a car without Airbag is akin to playing Russian Roulette or kissing a king cobra on its forehead.

Please is it advisable to change the engine oil I use in servicing my car to Mobil 1 0W20 after the dealer has serviced it with the normal Mobil Xhp 20W50 engine oil twice earlier this year

I'd never use 0W20 on my personal car. I'd rather go for 5W20. Reasons best known to me which I'd still keep to myself for now at least.
I'd suggest you start with that spec I gave but religiously watch it if you experience oil burn, pls revert to 20W50 or 10W40.
