Diff mechs have checked times without number. We changed pads many times ( toks and new) rotors also changed twice(new and toks). A mech suggest i disconnect the abs but i will not.

You won’t go wrong with the Elantra. I suggest you pick the GLS trim just to get some additional aesthetics.
The 2011 was entry for that chassis which ended in 2016 and this is a beauty to behold. I got the 2015 brand new in 2015 and it drove better than the 2012 Corolla. It had a better acceleration, mpg and firmer grip on the road. Well, it was brand new and I loved that car.
Finally, I don’t follow the popular thread because I want to stand out positively.

Go for the Elantra limited. It ticks every aspects you highlighted excellently well.

I'm talking from experience of maintaining them.

To even make matters interesting, I've not owned a corolla as a personal car. I don't fancy Toyota design thoughts or approach but I respect them for what they've been able to achieve. I don't have anything called brand loyalty in my dictionary.

Please i am just about paying for a BMW X5 2008 model. I have never used a BM before, and there is a slight noise coming from the wheels which the seller said is a minor issue. Virtually everyone i know tells me to avoid a BMW.

I used to say avoid a BMW before, but I've modified my slogan to avoid an abused bmw. Avoid some bmws.

Wheel noise could be suspension, wheel bearing or shaft noise, or anything. Have it checked properly before parting with hard cash.

Oga, no pun intended but you have nothing tangible and credible to talk about when it comes to placement of tank and its design.

Plastic tank is to prevent rust and electrostatics from causing leaks or electrical sparks and also to reduce weight and cut cost. It's a well taught out plan and design. Most modern cars use plastic tanks. I know a corolla has heat shield that's integrated around the exhaust pipe just shielding the heat from reaching the tank just like most other cars. Your car breaking the exhaust, losing that heat shield and damaging your tank is no fault of Toyota but yours.
