All this Toyota people don come.

Op I drive a Benz and man... Those cars are tough as F! Some weeks back, my friend who drives a CLA250 had a head on collision with a woman at reasonable speeds. The lady who drives a sienna veered from her lane to his and hit him squarely on the face.

Guess what, no single dent on the car. Only the grill at the bumper shifted from the position and we simply pushed it back in with our hands but the Sienna's head lights were totaled. Bumper banged in and hanging.

You have to understand somethings about the RR Wraith

1. It's a single door car (no passenger doors)
2. Reports say the guy was flung out of the car which means he most likely didn’t have a seat belt on.
3. The car bust into flames which normally causes the doors to jam.
4. Village people most definitely were on the matter because it was surprising to me the level of damage on the car even though I didn’t see the Honda it had the accident with though.
5. You don't know perhaps he bought that car salvage... Many things can go wrong.

That a car is tough doesn't mean you should go on a suicide mission wanting to reach the limit of your speedometer. The LX 570 you're hyping, perhaps you should know isn't a very stable car on neck break speeds and they have one of the poorest sharp bends balancing ratio capacities. The reason large cars are good and mostly favored by Americans is the space which creates a savior room during collisions. While these sports cars are like a cubicle. Imagine a car running into a cubicle with you inside or same scenario with you in a duplex. You get the picture now?

European cars are still the strongest cars out there Bro don't dull yourself
Let the lies begin!

Abeg my people, I need to ship a 2015 Toyota Venza via RORO to Nigeria.

I will like to know how safe it is from experience.
what are the likely things/parts that can be stolen from the car ( in case) and possible cost of replacement?

Any input based on experience will be appreciated
better containerise that car before you see scratches and dings when it arrives. Also, ensure your agents are on ground to identify and supervise opening of the car so that wharf rats won't steal the head lamps, taillamps, side mirror or push start key, wheels or battery.

Yes, let me. Funny thing is people like you can not weld 2 metals together successfully but you start an argument with zero experience. I don't need grammar, my experience with raising my absorbers for the past 7 years is enough.

Oga go and seat down and stop speaking English. People [s]have been raising their suspension in Nigeria since 1960! All those English you're speaking is your own, if you studied engineering, go and practice in Germany. This is Nigeria, we have bad roads and we have dangerous potholes!

If you're saying it's wrong to raise absorber, are you now saying it's over to use bigger tyres cuz car manufacturers also said we should use recommended tyres.

75% of Nigerians living in villages all over this country raise their absorbers, especially farmers who take their mini vans to farm.

Forget Grammar, there is nothing wrong with it. The most important thing is doing it right and making sure it's not too high. This is my 7th year driving different cars and they've all been raised at one point ot the other and I've never been in an accident before, my suspensions have never failed. Why am I still alive since you made it sound like it's a death trap.

I'm on my 3rd car, 2 Hondas and 1 Acura. My current car is a 2012 TL, the absorber is raised. I still speed 140 every time I go to Lagos. You don't believe it's right doesn't mean it's wrong.[/s]
As usual, it's normal for you speak out of ignorance. I leave you to wallow in such ignorancefor such Ignorance is bliss!

Kelvin30286063:
If you can afford it, change your rim by 1 or change your tyres to a bigger one. If you can't, [s]there is nothing wrong with raising your shocks[/s]. I did that to my Honda for 2 years cuz I live in an area with a really bad road and it has not effect. Just make sure its not too high. But note that if you buy a new China made absorber, it may damage it quicker than the tokunba ones that are more durable.

As you can see from that picture, I use big tyres and the absorbers are slightly raised.
Stop such advices. That you did it to your car and the repercussion isn't happening to you yet doesn't mean it should be done to other cars and they'll have no repercussions.

OP, there's everything wrong with raising the suspension of your car. It's very risky. It is very dangerous and can lose stability during high speed maneuvers and it put more stress and strains on suspension and drive train components and tyres than needed.

Not every foreign used car was used well.

This vehicle I sold early this year, just got due for oil change (the engine oil that came with it.)

https://www.nairaland.com/5896873/sold-spotless-clean-title-mercerdes

No other form of repair has been done including tyres

Also from the service records , even the transmission oil is not due for another 50k miles or more.

People should do proper research on vehicles they buy, to avoid lemons.

I hope you know Nigerians also use cars abroad? Imagine buying a used car used by a Nigerian grin

Finally , people who are used to buying cheap substandard parts , and postponing repair jobs you feel are not serious will fault that quote without getting a 2nd and third opinion.

You need not explain all these to him Sir.
