I was not enjoying the gear shifts, so I reset the transmission PCM/ECM and Engine ECM/PCM.

The difference was like black and white, I do not know if this vehicle has adaptive gear selection, but it responds much better now.

No special work done today, have to balance work and play, most of you viewing this thread have vehicles in my workshop, and if I leave ya vehicle to tell you tori, unna go vex

So only thing done today was to drain water from the radiator and install coolant

I have been driving my thing like that.

Try this bro, reset the ECM/PCM on the engine and transmission, then drive Fast and Furious style.

Anyone else who drives car gently won't like to drive the car again, but aggressive drivers would love the car.

Please, i need an urgent assistance before taking the next step on my car.

Its a Toyota Camry 2009 model, 4 plugs

My Car check engine light is on and the instrument gauges are not working fine but occasionally normalizes. When ever the speedometer stops working, the tachometer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge will not be working fine, the ABS and brake light will be illuminated. All these will normalize immediately the speedometer starts working.

i got the car scanned and the following codes popped up
1. P0798 - Pressure Control Solenoid C Electrical
2. P0986 - Shift Solenoid 'E' Control Circuit High

What could be the problem with the instrument gauges.
I don't want to do a trial and error repair of these problem.

Your expert advise will go a long way in giving me guide on how to tackle these problem.

I'm in Abuja, your recommendations are welcomed.

What a throwback! I watched this fight live with my dad in 1984 and we felt that Konyegwachi should have won. It was very close, but I felt that Taylor won the first round, while Konyegwachi won the second and third rounds. This should have been Nigeria's first Olympic gold medal. (I thought that Taylor won because he had the home advantage).

In my opinion, Konyegwachie was more mobile and landed more punches (he injured Taylor above the eye), while Taylor landed the heavier punches (I believe that he was looking for a knockout) and was too static.

I've been searching for this clip for a long time because I wanted to confirm that I was right in 1984. I still think that Konyegwachi should have won, but it now appears closer than I thought it was in the heat of the moment in 1984. What do you think?

I observed that when I drive for few minutes, the car heats up and temp overshoots. I park, open the bonnet and observe hot water pouring from the reserve water can. I touch the hose connecting the radiator to the engine and it's very hot, but the lower hose is a bit warm, is it possible that the thermostat is stuck? One mechanic has already started suggesting that my gasket is damaged?

I noticed my car overheating while going to owerri...
I stopped more than 3 times along the way to top water...
Yesterday as I was leaving owerri, I went to an auto electrician who discovered that the fan is not working for almost 3 days now, he disconnected the thermostat and the fan started working, he told me to go to on its ha that the car will take me there for repair...
Along the way, u started hearing " Kim kim" like sound on my Engine as I parked by the road side, the car stopped kicking.
This morning I will be going there with my mechanic along Ukwuorji to know what is actually wrong...
Am afraid that the top gasket might be affected and all those fake mechanics should not scatter my 2 months old car...
Any suggestion is welcomed people...

Or recommendation of a good mechanic

Wait wait wait!!!! 3 days no radiator fan and you didn't notice?
Well, your fan stopped working isn't because your thermostat is faulty. Its wiring could be making a loose contact or no contact, fuse might be blown or even your CTS could be faulty and telling your ECU engine is totally cold hence no radiator fan coming up.


By the way, your toyota IPSUM isn't an SUV. Its a minivan aka space bus.

This vehicle comes in several variants. The V6, 2.4liter GDI and 2.4 liter fuel injection. There might be more but those are what I have seen. The fuel injection 2.4liter is repair friendly.

the 2.0 turbo engine (quite rare to see) is a beast. 270hp is what that pencil sharpner of an engine generates.

Very sweet car. Variable displacement compressor is the Achilles heels of the car. That car has a very good crash test rating. Better than a Camry of same year in crash test ratings.

Take the toyota Tacoma. It shares parts with Toyota 4runner. Its mid sized. More fuel efficient and easier to maneuver within and around traffic compared to the others. The tundra and F-150 are good haulers. They haul heavier cargoes via hitch or in their buckets compared to the Tacoma. They are NOT suitable for very rough or off road terrain compared to the Tacoma. If going for Tacoma, ensure its ladder frame has not been bent or exposed to rust elements.

cheap Chinese brands for what they are, are okay for cheap economy cars with less complex and less intrusive systems. Install them in a car like Benz which have very complex CANbus and very intrusive electrical systems, you'd get a 'bulb out' notification when the ignition is turned on and it will deactivate the retrofit HID system or even destroy it cheaply reason is, Benz lighting systems sends and receives pulse signals to their SAM units which enables them communicate and perform as should.

Also, the lumens of HIDs matter alot. I installed a 6,000k D2S Bulb in my car, it had an uber cool blue hue which seemed sweet to look at but i could barely see ahead when driving. Most manufacturers does 3000-3500k lumen. But id recommend between 3000-4500k lumen which is closest to daylight output.

i think OP's GLK had the halogen as stock headlights, he wished to upgrade/ retrofit to HID. One good aftermarket HID product which id gladly recommend (although, expensive and quite technical to install but offers extremely excellent result better than most OEM HIDs are MORIMOTO brands. OP can try OSRAM or Philips as they're the most preferred OEM brands for most car manufacturers.


As for the weyrey that was arguing one can't get OEM brands in the market which are specified cars, he lied, Mercedes, Lexus, even Bentley and Rolls Royce don't manufacture bulbs or even lights units, they outsource these to reputable companies to make to their own specification which still follows and adheres to a minimum regulatory Bench mark.

Wrong move brah! Let what happen stay within the confines of the environment in which it happened.
