yeah I'm informed that I have a rusted gas tank. I actually did park the vehicle for about 5 years and there was residual gas in it all that period.
when the guage is above half tank, vehicle drives smoothly. when it approaches near quarter full, it stutters or stalls more often at low speeds but still idles normally.
are you aware of a treatment for rusted fuel tanks. it appears replacement tanks for the model is unavailable in Nigeria. I'm looking for the plastic type tank replacement.

Okay, check for the exhaust blockage or leaks, and also check if the injectors are spraying as should. Check fuel pump too.

it had multiple misfires on 2 banks, which were the only codes. I think P0302 and P0303 (not sure).
after all plugs were replaced and two coils (with a connector end), the engine runs smooth and vibrations at idle stopped. the codes also disappeared on its own without anybody clearing them.
sounds like there's exhaust leak though.
some weeks later, these new codes appeared but the engine still sounds good and doesn't vibrate like before.

What Nissan/Infiniti is this?

6. State #2 of fuel system = unused
7. Monitor result of fuel system = Compl

9. Temperature of catalyst Bank 1 sensor 1 = 407.8°C.

The engine type is 3ZRFE, toyota avensis 2011.
Honestly, the fuel consumption of this car is huge. 60 ltrs can only cover 410km city driving and I rarely use AC.

PS. The scan suggested that my engine system is OK. The air filter is clean, the spark plugs are clean, the exhaust is not clogged. The only issues are VSC/ traction control and headlamp.

Hello Salbis, the live scan did not depict any LTFT (long term fuel trim or STFT short term fuel trim.
Please do and I prefer if you have screenshots of the scan results and videos too so you share them with me for the purpose of this remote diagnosis.

Brake first, when you’re almost coming to a stop, clutch, then downshift.
This will put less stress and wear and tear to the clutch plate and discs components. When you clutch first then start braking, you may not had fully clutched to disengage the gear and this will put stress and rapid wear and tear to the clutch plate and disc.

I don’t know the competency level of mechanics in your locality, as for the oil, I don’t know the actual state of your engine and it’s internals. If there’s sludge or not, if it’s worn out considerably or not.

There’s a weird cranking noise that sometimes emanate from the engine of my few months old RX 350 (2009) Lexus. Bought the car directs Tok and engine is still very sound . I usually notice this weird engine noise whenever the vehicle is parked for a few hour’s especially on hot afternoons


My mechanic said it happens due to oil circulation when you start a car and its normal.

Another mechanic told me it could be that the filter under bottom plate is dusty or it could be that the chains in the engine need to be adjusted. That I should bring it for him to access it .

A friend who uses ES 350 is also experiencing similar issues and his mechanic said it’s the oil circulation when a car parked for a few hours starts

I’m still not satisfied with the mechanics response

I use the normal Mobil sold 9500 at Mobil stations and I’m thinking of switching to Mobil 1 hoping that would correct the noise. A colleague using RX350 uses Mobil 1 and has never encountered issues like this with his car

The Federal High Court Enugu, under Justice, M G Umar has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC) to list the name of, Barrister Gideon Okay Agbo as the Senatorial Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Enugu North.

The Order followed a suit filled by the candidate challenging the exclusion of his name on INEC’s list of candidates for the 2023 general election as released in October 2022.

In his ruling, the Judge declared that “the Defendant (INEC) does not possess any lawful authority to exclude the 1st plaintiff as the 2nd plaintiff’s candidate for the senatorial election of Enugu North senatorial district in Enugu State, the 1st plaintiff having been validly nominated by the 2nd plaintiff.

“That the exclusion of the 1st plaintiff as the 2nd plaintiff’s candidate for the senatorial election of Enugu north senatorial district in Enugu State is unconstitutional, unlawful, wrongful, null and void.”

Speaking after the judgment, Agbo said it was victory for the people of Enugu north who have suffered leadership failure over the “We have to create alternative for ourselves and do away with the leadership that have failed.

“Party at this juncture is immaterial but the personality, integrity and capacity of the individual to comprehend social, economic and democratic governance of the 21st century.

“That you can find in a young, vibrant lawyer and public policy analyst like me, ” he said.

I’ve never seen a gearbox issue make a Honda Civic of that year go into limp mode. Any issue with the gearbox usually makes the vehicle either drive or drag on the road but it never limits its rev count below 3000rpm.

His issue might simply be electrical.
