7. They thought after going to the north and they tie bedsheet on your head and shout Allah Akbar then you become a Governor, well it is not gonna happen again
In every civilised country, the citizens always condemn any act of extra-judicial killing by the security forces and the authorities always investigate any allegation of unlawful killing and punish anyone found wanting.
But Nigeria is far from being a civilised country. Thats why the Nigerian Army can go and kidnapp Gana from a convoy of vehicles conveying him and others to government house to recieve amnesty after they had surrendered and laid down their arms
The Army kidnapped Gana, killed him extra-judicially and that idiot of a Major General called Yekini cane to insult everyones intelligence that Gana was killed in a shootout
To make matters worse, some very stupid Nigerians even support this act of lawlessness and impunity by the Nigerian Army
hammer3: WOULD DAT BE A BAD THING IF HE IS SUCCESSFUL?
DONT IGBO WANT THE PRESIDENCY ANYMORE?
WAT AM CONCERNED ABOUT IS TO GO WITH SOLUDO TO THE CENTRE, AIDING AND ABETTING HIS SUCCESS IN GOVERNANCE BY HARVESTING THE WEALTH OF IDEAS I CARRY BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.
If Soludo wants to be Governor of Anambra, he should put his energy into winning the APGA primaries, because if he doesn't, his ambition is dead in the water.
ghetokid1: News reaching me this morning has it that Ize-iyamu is currently leading Obaseki with wide margin in Lagos, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun & Ondo . Details soon...
NDI ANAMBRA SHOULD BE GRATEFUL TO GOD THAT WE HAVE SOMEONE LIKE HIM IN OUR STATE.
IF ANYBODY CAN FINISH UP WHERE OBIANO STOP, IT IS SOLUDO.
I HONESTLY CANNOT WAIT TO BE PART OF HIS TEAM.
Anambra is not interested in big names, they already have many of that. Anambra is interested in good governance and their is a chance that if Soludo becomes Governor, he will switch his attention to power at the centre by decamping to APC or PDP, thereby derailing everything just like Okorocha who ended messing Imo state up after starting well when he was in APGA
hammer3: WAT IS SOLUDO DOING IN APGA, IF HE WAS NOT GOING TO RUN.
SOLUDO SERVED IN OBIANO CABINET AND HAS PAID HIS DUES.
HE SHOULD WIN.
Other people have served APGA far longer than Soludo. I think that Soludo is well qualified to be Governor of Anambra, however, Anambra is no longer about having a big name become Governor. Peter Obi and Willie Obiano were not big names but they did well in Anambra
The problem with Soludo is that he is the type who is likely to decamp to APC after using the party to win elections in Anambra, just like Okorocha did in Imo state. Once a politician starts defecting even before winning elections, he is not likely to stop after winning elections
tiger28: Here WE GO with the foaming of the mouth already by these cursed folks! Are you REALLY ready to RELOCATE your Container Container business BACK to the East ONCE we go each other's way??Yorubas have NOTHING to lose in the disunity( I haven't in my over 40 yrs MET a Yoruba that lived in igboland or speak Igbo whereas I have seen millions of examples of the reverse. Remember that once you leave Yoruba land, all houses your in Yoruba will be HEAVILY taxed because you are NOW A FOREIGNER who will NEED A VISA in Yoruba land. And pls REMEMBER that ONCE we DEPORT you guys, the Northerners will AUTOMATICALLY do same because they Can HARDLY stand the igbos( they are known to Call their Host land a NO MAN'S LAND). The Igbos forget that being a Nigerian means you can have full access to anywhere in Nigeria BUT all places have, A CULTURE,A LANGUAGE, A KING etc . Same way I can't go to Onitsha and say it's my town because I live there.....the Igbo state govts don't EVEN hire other Igbos from other State( I remember a massive sack of igbos that are not from Imo). It is ONLY the Igbos OUT OF THE OVER 200 Tribes in Nigeria that are FIGHTING for INDIGINESHIP right with Other States in Nigeria.....ain't you proud of Una State?I have NEVER seen an idoma or Benin ppl saying they are from Lagos State or OYO state because they were BORN in that State.....an ABOMINATION in ANY DECENT Tribe. Igbos BADLY need RE-EDUCATION!!!
I dont know what you people are making noise for. There are many people from from different countries in Africa like Benin Republic, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Niger Republic etc who are all over the South West. They dont share one country with Yorubas and they have not been deported. Why is that of Igbos a special case? If Nigeria breaks up and Igbos have their own separate country, Igbos will have to observe whatever immigration rule exists wherever they want to go. Its a small price to pay for independence
sirjamesjnr: . Start by leaving their land and operate only in South East. Let your representative in government resign then all Nigerian will take you serious.
Last time we did the above, they still came down to the East to fight a 3 year civil war.
As an Igbo man, I can say that it will be a great blessing when we Igbos dont have to share one country with Yorubas any more. Igbos and Yorubas hardly knew each other before the British came to 'rope' them both together into a colonial project called 'Nigeria'
So Im hoping we will all be 'unroped' very soon. It will be a blessing not to share the same country with Yorubas, same goes for Hausa/Fulani
43. Now I want everyone to clap for the ZOO they have made it to the number three of the most terrorised state in the whole world, over and above Somalia
Nnamdi Kanu said years ago that Nigeria would eventually become worse than Somalia. Having overtaken Somalia to become the third most terrorised country in the world after Afghanistan and Iran, Nnamdi Kanu has been proved right once again
omenka: Come and collect it naw. If you people encroach on an inch of Igede land, that would be the last step you lot ever take.
Very useless bunch. You don't know the kind of harm you people are causing the generality of Igbos with this your stupid expansionist ideology. There's no difference between the igbo orientation and that of the FULANIS you love to hate.
I guess your lands are so barren you people know you can hardly survive in it if your useless biafra dream (which I hope comes to fruition tomorrow) is ever realised. So you go about looking for lands to grab here and there.
I blame all Benue people for even agreeing to sell lands to you lot. Bloody irritants.
Look at the Northerner who is coming to steal part of Igbo land. How did you people think we were going to let you people get away with that? You people might get away with it in Nigeria, but not Biafra.
I have no doubt that Nigeria will break up in the no distant future and when that time comes, every Igbo village that was carved into Benue will be returned to the Igbo nation. We will not concede one inch of Igbo land to nobody. Any attempt to keep indigenous Ezza-Igbos inside Benue against their wishes will be met with stiff resistance. Not one single Igbo village will be part of Arewa Republic.
The entire Igbos who were carved into Benue so as to pad the low population of Benue will be returned to the Igbo nation where they belong
omenka: I have never seen a more irritating, offensive, annoying and troublesome group like ipob.
Oju, Obi, Igbo speaking towns?
Oju and Obi are the Igede speaking LGAs in Benue state. We are the third largest ethnic group in the state. But this useless group, populated by the most impressionable and ignorant dolts on the planet, would believe the town's are Igbo speaking towns. The only Igbos you find in Oju and Obi are those into clothing and building materials business in Ihiejwo and Obarike Ito markets respectively.
Very useless group. Encroaching on peoples lands thinking it's all fun and games.
How do you think that Benue state will have border with Enugu and Ebonyi states but there wont be Igbos in the lower Benue? You think that the border was precise? Idomas are supposed to be indigenous to Benue but there is an Idoma minority in Enugu state. So it is possible for Idoma to be in Enugu state but not possible for Igbo to be in Benue?
Another thing to consider is how the villages are called Umuezeokohia, Umuoghara, Umuezeoka, etc. Everyone knows that it is only Igbo villages that start with the prefix 'umu'.
It is well known that there are Igbos villages carved into the lower Benue to make up the low population of that state. When we get Biafra, we will not concede one inch of Igbo land to nobody. All indigenous Igbos speaking people and their ancestral lands that were mischievously carved into Benue will be returned to the Igbo nation or their will be big trouble
Tranquill: Original name by who? Is there a village or town in portharcourt that is called igwocha? Portharcourt is refered to as igwuocha by Igbos in the same fashion that they refer to America as Obodo oyibo, North as Igweawusa, Garbon or wherever as panya. Unless you claim these are the original names of these places. Are you aware that at some point the Igbos were calling Calabar 'New Onitsha? You guys should just stop deceiving yourselves.
The land was called Iguocha or Igweocha, it was the farm land of the Ikwerre people. The British bought around 1912 and started building on it a city they called 'Portharcourt'. Portharcourt has since expanded to include many other areas but most Igbo speaking people such as the Ikwerres, who are the original owners of the land, still call the city by its original name of 'Iguocha'
PROUDIGBO: Soludo pays a visit to site of the upcoming Luxury Place Estate in the company of the Chairman of Rotech Ltd, Chief Oguejiofor, some members of the state house of assembly, the contractor for the planned underground drainage system for the estate, among others.
Looks like this will be a well constructed prime estate if they plan to have underground drainage. I don't think any other estate in the south-east has one.
Anyone with updates on the one being built in Awka?
Nice one. If it were up to me, a law would be enacted mandating anyone who wants to build an estate of more than 10 houses to put in an underground drainage system
OPC was armed and killing people all over the South West in the late 1990's. It did not stop a Yoruba man called Obasanjo from being elected President in 1999 and 2003. There was no need for Yoruba to build any bridge
Fulani herdsmen are armed and killing people across the country. It did not stop Nigerians electing a Fulani man called Buhari in 2015 and 2019. There was no need to build any bridge
It is only when it comes to Igbos that Nigerians suddenly remember the bridge that must be built!
Tranquill: Igweocha is how Igbo people like to refer to portharcourt the way they refer to America as obodo oyibo or the north as Igweawusa. It makes them think portharcourt is part of their Biafra....you can call it 'delusional attarcheesm'.
Igweocha or Iguocha is the original name of the place before the British came to call it Portharcourt
A section of IPOB known as the yellow berets protested in Igweocha(Portharcourt) on 14th September. This in rememberance the military invasion of Nnamdi Kanu's house on 14th September 2017 and all the unarmed people killed that day.
emkz: And the people who'd manage the independent Igbo nation, are they likely to be any different from the people currently managing you? You people thinking breaking up is the solution to the problem, it would magnify the problems for you to see them more clearly. Apart from Innoson, many Igbo businesses are domiciled outside Igbo land. Nigeria is the way it is because of the people. Breaking up is not the solution.
The system of Nigeria is what allows the so called leaders to do whatever they like in Nigeria. But when Igbos get their freedom and independent country, the leader dare not mess up because the new system that will come wont allow that.
Nigeria is the way? People like you have been saying that since when Lord Lugard returned to Britain and we are tired of hearing it.
flokii: A secession clause on peaceful exit of any ethnic group or region would have averted all these nonsense.. but the useless, greedy Nnamdi Azikiwe of cursed memory opposed it claiming some useless gods had destined his people to dominate Nigeria and Africa. Such tomfoolery!
That clause alone would have been a reminder to any group who feels they can misbehave and get away as they like that marriage is not by force but greed wouldn't allow the foolish man see the big picture at that time even when Pa Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello clamoured for it.
Go to sleep joo. Even if secession clause had entered the constitution, it would not help anyone today because the Military overthrew that constitution in 1966 and it has not been used since then
