WHAT I LEARNED ABROAD – THE END OF IPOB IS NEAR

Now back in Nigeria after being in Europe since February (COVID-19 lockdown effects).

1. Kanu and his followers are seriously mistaken that “Biafra” is their own franchise. It is not!
2. Kanu is speaking only for himself not for Igbo.
3. Kanu is a fraudster taking money from gullible Igbo to enrich himself.
4. No organization of good repute will ever partner with Kanu/IPOB.
5. Kanu/IPOB doesn’t have the capacity to bring about Biafra. Igbo Self-determination will come through another platform.
6. IPOB is just a cult that worships its Supreme Leader. There is no sincerity in this cult.
7. Kanu as cult leader will increasingly use religion to hold on to his decreasing followers. His fake Judaism won’t work for long.
8. Kanu is a typical cult leader and like an emperor-dictator (Supreme Leader) makes himself accountable to nobody. There is no transparency in this cult, and secrecy surrounds the funds coerced from deceived IPOB cult members.
9. Kanu spreads hate for other ethnic nationalities so as to isolate Igbo from their SS brethren. He is living safe in Britain and will never come to Nigeria again so is making a mess for Igbos not himself.
10. Igbos and some SS people (eg Asari) have had enough of Kanu and he is going to be exposed for the fraud that he is.

TO ANXIOUS IGBO: Igbo WILL get Self-determination so do not worry. But it will NOT be through IPOB.

Boko haram, ISWAP, killer herdsmen, to mention a few, are killing people across Nigeria, burning down communities, raping women and driving people out of their land.

But another persons problem is if IPOB is a cult group that is worshipping Kanu. Your problem is Kanu while Igbos are being killed and oppressed? The only tangible agitation for Biafra that has attracted the interest of Nigerians and put Biafra in the front burner of national discourse.

The only tangible agitation in Igbo land at this time against the oppressive forces in Nigeria is IPOB, but some people that call themselves Igbos are fighting it. This same Ijele can never do better than Kanu is doing nor create something better than IPOB, but he will be fighting IPOB. Its not everything about Nnamdi Nnamdi Kanu or IPOB that I agree with, but the truth is that they are the only noteworthy agitation on the ground. If you cant beat them, join them

The killing is fishy. What is driving sentiments on this killing for those who care to know are below;

1) There is the possibility that the military killed him in retaliation for Fulani herdsmen killings
2) There are many Boko Haram who were granted amnesty and is enjoying freely, why treat him different?
3) Benue governor never supported his killings, in fact his contradictory account shows how political the killing is.
4) There are many Gana types in the fulani camp, non has been killed even as they never repented.
5) Bandits have even been granted amnesty in Katsina and are even walk freely.
6) Any bad guy in the future will hardly turn a new leaf in the face of this betrayal.
7) There is the possibility of his followers taking up arms.

In all this, I am one person that will never be happy to see a killer walk free in the guise of amnesty or similar thing.
But my anger is that when you treat a particular criminal as a VIP and treat the other as a nonentity, you will be calling for sympathy.
Nigeria is a country that deserve serious RESET. It is a shame some sits down and believe something good can happen in the future.
We are not united in any form and leaders do not care. People like Buhari has amplified nepotism to a higher level and only time shall tell what
it portends for us as a nation. We need a society where any killer should be killed without pampering a particular set of killers.

Next time another militant is offered amnesty for him to give up his arms, do you think anyone will agree to that when they remember what was done to Gana? Many Nigerians dont think of the long term effects of the injustice they choose to ignore today

In this day and age, someone who has already accepted the amnesty that was offered, came out of hiding, surrendered himself and arms in front of his leaders in a large stadium. On his way to see the Governor in company of his local government chairman, Soldiers stop the convoy, drag him out, take him away and execute him

Then the Army hold a press conference where they say that he was killed in a shootout

The man surrendered and laid down his gun. On his way to see the Governor, the Army dragged him out of his car and murdered him.

The Army then held a hastily prepared press conference where they claimed he was killed 8n.a shootout. The Major General even implicated himself by saying that the Army captured Gana alive, this was after they said he was killed in a shootout

Nnamdi Kanu has no capacity at all to deliver any Biafra to his deceived followers.

Kanu just spreads hate and division, and is trying to divide the people of the South away from Igbos, so that Igbos will be isolated. IT WILL NOT WORK!

We thought Kanu would get sense so have been quiet all this while, but he is getting madder each day. Enough is enough. Kanu is going down. His fraud on his followers is going to be exposed. He has been ridiculing Igbos but now it is he who will face the ridicule.

To followers of Kanu: Don't worry, Igbo will get Self-determination and freedom. Only, it will NOT be through IPOB.

The funniest thing about those who say that Kanu cannot get Biafra is that none of them can say how Biafra will be gotten. Its not enough to say that Kanu cannot get Biafra, tell us how to get Biafra!

To me there's nothing extra judiciary in killing a criminal that had repeatedly killed human beings.The wages of sin is dead and he who kills by a sword shall surely died by the sword. The law of karma comes to mind.

Rule of law, when the criminal was killing and kidnapping innocent victims did he obey the law of the country.

And the constitution has said that such person, if apprehended, has right to life and should be put through to the due process of the law. If the authorities cannot keep the law then who should?

Thats how they took Boko haram leader, Dikko Yusuf and executed him publicly in 2010. Shekau took over and they have been fighting for 10 years

Look at the pictures of Gana above where he surrendered. Do you see him armed? If you look well you will even see a Soldier in face mask just behind him. So what does that tell you?

He accepted the amnesty, came out, laid down his arms, greeted people and when he entered his vehicle to go and meet the Governor, the Army ambushed him and murdered him.

This was murder, not exchange of fire.

Why I said so is because I heard he was once given amnesty back in 2017, But he later went back to causing mayhem in the state. Just like the case of Don wanny.

It does not matter if he was given amnesty once before, or 100 times before. What matters is that once a person or group has laid down their arms and surrendered, the minimum you expect the authorities to do is to protect that persons fundamental human rights. If the authorities felt that he went on to commit further crimes after being granted amnesty, they should arrest and charge to court, not resort to gang style execution.

Now that the authorities have done this, do you think other militants will ever accept amnesty offer now that they know what it could lead to?

I doubt that very much because the state Governor, Ortom, has already condemned the action of the military. He wouldn't do that if he was part of the plan.

This is a very simple matter. The state government granted Gana amnesty, he came out, laid down his arms and accepted. He was videoed and pictured, even interviewed. As he was taken to see the Governor, his convoy was stopped by the Army, he was pulled out of his vehicle and executed.

That one is murder, there are no two ways about it.

The point here is that there is no justification for killing an unarmed man. Dont you realise that if your sentiments are to be followed, we would have given the power of life and death to the military? What it would mean is that the military will decide who lives or dies, when, how and why. That is horrible. We would be creating a society where carrying guns will be the order of the day. If the authorities felt that this man was still a threat, they should have arrested him and charged him to court.

But to grab him after he has surrendered and execute him in such a brazen way shows that Nigeria is still a backward country where people reason like animals

Thats one of the reasons they want Nnamdi Kanu to come back, so that they can grab him and empty their bullets into him

But if IPOB are having peaceful meeting in Enugu, that useless commissioner of Police called Abdulrahman Ahmed, will mobilise the Airforce, Police, DSS, Navy, Army and everyone to after unarmed IPOB.

But if armed herdsmen are on the rampage killing people in Enugu, people will not see anybody

My brother, I support Biafra and Self-determination. But Kanu is DECEIVING Igbos! That is what is bad. He could have led IPOB in truth and humility and join the real Self-determination groups. How is Kanu deceiving Igbos? What did he do that is bad? That he asked people to contribute to what he is doing? Is that so bad? Besides, he did not force anyone to contribute if they dont want to. You are talking about operation Python dance? Uwazurike was leading MASSOB in a different way to the Method of Kanu, they still sent the military after him many times and killed many MASSOB. I have watched a few videos of that Ijele guy and everyone can see he is just another "Sabo" who wants IPOB destroyed so that the Biafran agitation can die. I dont watch his video any more.

Out of malice for southerners, especially Igbos, the Buhari regime controversially labelled IPOB a terrorist organization, in 2017.
What is certain and without controversy is that IPOB is a cult (aka sect). Although its leader Mr Nnamdi Kanu claims to be pushing for the realisation of Biafra, his methods have no UN grounding so Biafra cannot be achieved through IPOB.
A Cult is a social group that is defined by its unusual religious, or philosophical beliefs, or by its common interest in a particular person, or goal.
A cult is also where there is great devotion to a person or idea, or persons united by devotion or allegiance to a movement or leader.

THREE MAIN SIGNS OF A CULT
1. A captivating leader, who is increasingly worshiped. That is, a leader who has no accountability, and becomes the single most defining element of the cult and is its source of power and authority.
2. A process of indoctrination to believe whatever the leader says. A kind of thought reform also called "brainwashing".
At its height, members of the cult often do things that are not in their own best interest, but that are always in the best interest of the group and its leader. They can even die for their leader.
3. Financial, sexual, and other exploitation of cult members by the leader and the ruling set.
NOTE: Most cults have a leader (often with big titles) who uses religion to trap or scare the members. He can even claim to hear from God or to be a prophet. Fear keeps many afraid to leave a cult.

HOW TO GET YOUR LOVED ONE OUT OF THE IPOB CULT
The worst thing to do is to keep on shouting at your spouse, child or loved one who has joined IPOB. Rather, keep on asking them questions about what Kanu is doing and saying, especially what plans exactly does he have to realize Biafra. This will force your loved one to think more critically about what Kanu/IPOB are really about. Watching videos or reading about ex-IPOB members together will also help your loved one’s critical thinking ability.
Google: “How to come out of a cult” for more information on how to help someone you love who is trapped in IPOB. Remember, many have left IPOB and are doing better for it.

This is not being mean to IPOB members, or criticising them. It is showing love to someone caught up in a cult that has a self-imposed “Supreme Leader” Emperor type, who just does not have the capacity to bring them the Biafra they hope for.

So please have the courage to forward this message on to Igbo people.

Theres just one problem. Wether IPOB is a cult group devoted to Nnamdi Kanu or not, the truth is that without them, the Biafran agitation would not have reached the global level it has. Basically, without Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB, there woukd have been little or no Biafran agitation.

Do you know that because of IPOB, major Radio stations across Africa, from South Africa to Kenya to Ghana now have Biafran segments where only Biafra is discussed?


So if you take out Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB at this critical time, what will you have? It will be back to the days of Uwazurike, MASSOB, BZF and others that you will hear of maybe once in 6 months.

Am I the only one or is there someone else who has noticed that recently, any issue affecting the whole of nigeria, like bad policies from the government, increased in VAT, electricity bill or fuel pump price increase..the Igbos hardly join in protest. When I said Igbos I mean the 5 South eastern states.

Is this to show that despite majority of Igbos being against this government, yet those that supported the government(especially north and south west) are the ones being hit by the famine? Cause there has been series of protests in Abuja, Lagos and some other northern and south western states, yet the 5 eastern states are quiet about it and going about their normal businesses.

Two things are involved,
1. It is either the Igbos don't see the challenges as a burden. Or

2. Igbos truly don't care about Nigeria and only interested in Biafra.. meaning whatever is happening in Nigeria is none of their business.

No Igbo man is going to join the protest, Igbos have long lost all faith in Nigeria

When a Yoruba man starts to give predictions on Biafra that has nothing whatsoever to do with him the you realise someone is looking for traffic

The extra-judicial killing of Gana wont bring back any of the people he killed and is likely to lead to more deaths as his men take revenge on the authorities for his killing.

Easy to say. Personally I have no qualms if a person is served his own poison. It's called Karma. If only you knew how many of his own people this guy murdered on a daily. Oh! I remember my neighbours. Too many. Kidnapped, ransoms collected and then wasted. He deserved even more sef.

Yes he may have killed many people and Im sure that relatives of his victims will be happy that he has been killed. However, his extra-judicial killing by the military will only make things worse.

He has already surrendered, gave up his arms and presented himself to the authorities. For the Army to grab him and kill him shows that the Nigerian Army are unprofessional, lawless armed thugs. This will also send a message to other militants all over Nigeria that are considering giving up their evil ways to carry on since doing so may lead to their summary execution

Another thing this does is that whatever is left of Gana's men are going to likely seek revenge on the authorities for his unwarranted killing and this will lead to more unrest and more people being killed.

So what was the point of this show of shame by the Nigerian military? Very shameful

Orji Uzo Kalu is talking about Nnamdi Kanu and convincing him to drop Biafra agitation. Let him remember that Nnamdi Kanu is an unarmed man leading a non violent movement


What Orji Uzo Kalu should be more worried about is who will convince Boko Haram, ISWAP and killer herdsmen to drop their own agitation and stop killing people all across Nigeria

Exactly the problem. The dynamics is lost on many. I am quite sure that the Federal government refused to listen to the Biafra cry because it will open the door to other regions too to push for their independence. Else, the idea of Biafra would have come a long time ago and the government, knowing other Nigerian territories run around the 5 Eastern states will just sit back and burden the life out of Biafra.

The idea of a country within a county is unthinkable, a calculated attempt at humiliating secession areas and beating them under subjection. What is the use of living in a flat when you will still carry a bucket outside of the apartment just to bathe?

The idea of a country within a country is not unthinkable, it even exists here in Africa. Lesotho and Swaziland are two independent countries inside South Africa, complete with their own currency, national anthem, National Assembly. Yet they are surviving and moving on despite being completely encircled by a much larger South Africa.

If they they can survive, the South East can survive very well and even progress better than Nigeria

How can we use such double standard?

The Fulani marauders aren't Venue's worst enemies. You see those obscure settlements, they usually have land and border issue that leads to intercommunal clashes and skirmishes. Many have been going on for years and some communities have sought the help of the Fulanis, who themselves have taken advantage of this and wrecked havoc up there.

The media just doesn't report enough of this but it is a burning issue down here.

Wether the guy is a mass murderer isnt the issue, the issue is the extra-judicial killing of people by the military. Someone has surrendered, no longer poses a threat, the military grabs the person and executes him. That is plain murder. Let us all learn not to encourage the military to act with impunity and total disregard for the rule of law, otherwise, there is no difference between the military and the terrorists they are fighting
