Why do I doubt the story? It is because these men don't look like money hustlers. I may be wrong. It is for the Police to prove their case in court. GistmoreNG: The Ogun State Police Command, on Wednesday, paraded three suspects over the alleged murder of a 400 level student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ahmed Obisanwo. The suspects were Idowu Ayodele (53), Segun Ogunsanwo (53) and Akeem Salisu (55).
While parading the suspects, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama, said four guns were recovered from the suspects, who claimed to be part of local community security group.
Makama said the trio would face murder charge before a competent court of law.
The Police boss said the suspects, earlier in the month stormed a hotel in Ijebu-Igbo, and dispossessed people of their valuables and also held two young men hostage.
Makama explained that one of those held hostage thereafter escaped from the abductors’ den while the other was so unlucky.
The CP said, “These suspects went into a hotel and ordered everyone to lie down, dispossessing them of their valuables. They held two people hostage. One of those held in hostage escaped while the other was not lucky.
” A complaint was lodged with the Police and we swung into action. This led to the arrest of these three people and recovery of weapons.
“Upon interrogation, they admitted to have killed the other young man and that his remains had been thrown into a river.
“One of them claimed to be a member of safe corps, however, his claim had been debunked. They will be made to face the full wrath of the law.”
One of the suspects, Akeem Salisu, who spoke with newsmen denied killing Obisanwo.
He said the group were commissioned by the community to arrest cultists and thugs.
Salisu added that his group usually arrest cultists and thugs in the community and handed them over to the Police.

Bro, at this point in time, whatever IPOB says does not matter. You should focus on Buhari living up to the duties of his office because that is truly what matters and has consequences for the country. IPOB may be critical of Buhari but as they say, if you consistently do what is right, you will forever silence your critics. Governance is not about winning elections but about using public office to make a better life for your people. And if that holds true and I know it does, Buhari has a lot to do so that his name will not be confined to the rubbish dustbins like the people before him. Simplyleo: But the delusional ipob clowns said all pictures and videos of buhari's movement are respectively photoshopped & doctored na.
One idiot high on kanu's urine who claimed to be experienced in photoshopping was even calling for the sack of buhari's photographer for a poorly executed photoshop.
Kanu's urine has so melted their brain that even if he tells them athifku is ojukwu incarnate sent by abiama, the only thing they will say is isheeey. And their thought process automatically align with such "revelation". |

You should face your life and hope for the best. As regards your mum, she will survive. Once her mind is completely free of hurts, she will pick up the pieces again and re-start a business she has known and will prosper. I think she is a fighter considering how she moved on after the death of her husband. But the man, you will have pity on him some years down the line because KARMA is real. NO need hating all men because of your experience with your dad and your mum's lover. There are plenty of women who are grateful for the men who came their way in life. It is not a perfect world and do not expect fairness from it. Enchantaurl: She took loan from Bank of 1million and invested in the business , he bought a bus with it and the bus has just his name. She kept borrowing and ended up borrowing 5m from the bank for this business and whenever they make profit he takes it all and gives her crumbs, things were so hard for us and she kept saying he loves her whilst complaining to us.
She took 2m from a contribution, gave it to him again and it sinked. Lapo and accion bank too she's owing them.
As if that wasn't enough he tried to break my family by calling my elder sister a witch and my mum supported him, my family almost divided.
Note: I didn't know of all this debts until recently a pastor saw her on the road she was walking like some one that was suicidal according to him, and he asked her what the problem was and she narrated things, he called for a meeting with the man and everything was revealed.
The banker who helped with the loan was in the meeting and when they asked my mum how she wanted the debt to be paid she said she was going to pay all that he should just give her the bus. The pastor said she was charmed but I don't believe she was, I feel like she was too desperate for love. This guy even beats her but she denies it, he talks to her anyhow.
I'm happy she's left him but right now to eat is a problem, the money I saved before entering school 60k I gave it to her and there's no hope of getting it back. He's destroyed everything. We've relocated to the village and I feel depressed and I've developed a hatred for men as I've never had a good male figure in my life, they are all assholes (my latedad inclusive).
I believe women should deal with men without their emotions. Be mean to them and they will adore you. After reading why men love bitches I realized a lot of things. |

Business › Re: Oyo Discovery Is A Game Changer For Congo And The African Content by Kinikini: 3:50pm On Aug 15, 2019 |
Another war loading in the COngo. With oil comes corruption, poverty, and war. Ravon: Congo has 2 billion barrels of proven oil reserves from about 20 fields being exploited and about 10 permits granted and waiting to be developed...
The recent onshore discovery made in the Delta de la Cuvette deposit in the Republic of Congo is a game-changer for Congo and Africa. The discovery was announced on August 10th by SARPD Oil and PEPA, a Congolese consortium working as operators on the Block.
Early projections indicate that the discovered deposits could produce up to 359 million barrels of oil, or 983,000 bopd, from Congo’s central province. This could in effect quadruple Congo’s production, which currently stands at over 330,000 bopd according to OPEC’s latest figures. Production has been steadily increasing in recent years, with a target set by the government of reaching 400,000 bopd by 2020.
“This is our first onshore discovery and it gives us a lot of hope that we shall make more discoveries especially now that we are to award more blocks for oil exploration in the ongoing oil licensing round,” said the H.E. Jean-Marc Thystère-Tchicaya, Minister of Hydrocarbons of the Republic of Congo
The Delta de la Cuvette deposit covers 9,392 m2 and comprises four wells, the first has been drilled in March of this year. When fully exploited, the license could propel Congo as Africa’s third-largest oil producer, ahead of Algeria and Libya.
“This is in effect one of the largest African oil discovery in decades,” declared Nj Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber and CEO at the Centurion Law Group. “Africa has been an exploration hotspot where major oil & gas discoveries have been made in recent years by international explorers. The Oyo discovery in Congo, however, is the result of indigenous efforts made by Congolese companies. It speaks volumes to the value that local content development can create when local companies and entrepreneurs are given an opportunity to contribute to their industry. I want to urge the government to work with the industry to expedite the approvals for the necessary field development efforts. This is a win for Congo and for Africa.”
The discovery is also a game-changer for Congo’s energy scenario, with most oil & gas production currently coming from offshore fields. The Republic of Congo has been pushing for years to open up energy access to its central and northern provinces, notably through the planned 1,200km pipeline between Pointe Noire and Ouesso. The exploitation of such large oil deposits in the centre of the country could open up a whole new energy frontier for Congo and the rest of the region.
The African Energy Chamber looks forward to seeing the full development of the license creating jobs for Congolese, and opportunities for Congolese companies and entrepreneurs to service one of Central Africa’s largest upcoming onshore development. Such a discovery has the potential to spur considerable economic growth for Congo and its central and northern provinces, especially as the country keeps recovering from a recent economic crisis due to plummeting oil prices. The IMF predicts a GDP growth of 5.4% in 2019, the highest in Central Africa.
Congo has 2 billion barrels of proven oil reserves from about 20 fields being exploited and about 10 permits granted and waiting to be developed. Its proven gas reserves stand at 200bn standard cubic metres over 20 years, according to the government, including 70bn of associated gas. While gas production stands at about 400bcf, various gas valorization and monetization projects are being supported by the government to generate diversification and economic growth. Congo estimates that it can monetize about 100bn standard cubic metres of gas by integrating various gas valorization projects in the country via a gathering and transportation system which is to be operational by 2020.

Honestly, the govt is plain stupid in rushing to arrest Sowore. They did not learn from Nnamdi Kanu's case. Leave the guy, let him make noise as much as he wants. He can never galvanize any revolution. Nigeria is more complex than that noise Sowore wanted to make. The govt simply dignified Sowore by arresting him. I am desirous of a change in this country but we can not jump from frying pan to fire. Sowore cannot even manage a party, he was expelled and has not responded to the allegations of fraud made by his party men. Ventura1: UNBOWED AND UNBROKEN: TAKE IT BACK MEMBERS VISIT DEFIANT SOWORE IN DSS DETENTION
At 6pm today, 5th August, 2019, members of the Take it Back Movement were allowed to visit with our convener, Omoyele Sowore, for the first time since his armed abduction in the early hours last Saturday, the 3rd of August.
The visitors met him in high spirits, unmoved by the events of the last few days. The officers allowed the guests to present him with food as Sowore had refused all meals since his capture. We are also happy to confirm that Take it Back members will be allowed to bring him food daily as per his wishes.
The freedom fighter was quick to ask about Movement and Party faithfuls as he is aware that there will be a lot of worry about his wellbeing, and would like to assure everyone that he is being treated well and is in very good health.
He is pleased that the peaceful #RevolutionNow protests he called Nigerians to stand for went ahead, and has expressed his dismay at knowledge of the sheer number of innocent Nigerians being arrested for exercising their civil rights. He is greatly concerned about the wellbeing of all those arrested and /or affected by today’s heavy handed police action, and joins in demanding for their immediate release.
Indeed, the silver lining in today’s unrest lies in the knowledge that the truly, you cannot stop an idea whose time has come.
The Take it Back Movement will continue to agitate for his release as well as that of every single comrade whose voice this oppressive regime has tried to silence.
This visit was a small win; but we will not rest until we are free and free indeed.

This is inevitable. The theft cannot be against the LCC only. Users of the toll pass whose account are subjected to sweeping retro-debit must have fallen victims to fraudulent debits. LCC should own up and refund such fraudulent debits. alphonsojaybaz: 18 Lekki toll collectors handed over to police
The Lekki Concession Company Limited has handed over 18 toll collectors, suspected to have defrauded it of huge sums of money, to the police for investigation.
The Managing Director, LCC, Mr Mubashiru Hassan, who made this known in a statement on Wednesday, said the affected employees took advantage of the operational hitches, which occurred in January, to perpetrate some sharp practices at the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza in Lekki, Lagos.
Eyes Of Lagos gathered that, According to him, following the resolution of the hitches in June, the operations department carried out an audit and discovered some anomalies in transactions, such as the abuse of the transaction unblock key and non-adherence to vehicle processing procedures, including the receipt of money from customers without processing the vehicles and non-issuance of toll receipts to customers after receiving payment.
“Other offences were sabotage of toll equipment; non-adherence to the controls and operating procedures, including the use of personal phones in the booths; processing of vehicles on another person’s profile; and recording and accounting for low traffic numbers during peak periods,” the statement said.
Hassan was quoted as saying that consequent upon the discovery, the affected workers were queried and a disciplinary committee was set up to look into the matter.
He stated, “Out of the 56 suspected staff members, six were exonerated and 18 were indicted in the first batch and handed over to the police on July 11, 2019, for further investigation, while the remaining 32 are still undergoing internal questioning before decisive action will be taken against them in line with the disciplinary policies of the company.
“The LCC management will never tolerate any fraudulent act and will handle such behaviour decisively.”
He described the affected workers as unrepentant as “they have not seen what they have done as a criminal offence.”
“Instead, they have gone on the social media to malign the competence and character of the management staff, especially the managing director and managers in the operations department, who investigated and unravelled the fraudulent act,” Hassan stated.

Pastor Fatoyinbo had in a post on his Instagram page on Monday, announced stepping down from the pulpit following the rape saga. He wrote: “The past few days have been very sobering on me I have taken time to seek spiritual counsel form Christian leaders around the world who feel very concerned about the ongoing report in the media. “I have solicited their guidance on actions I should take that is honoring to our Lord Jesus Christ and the work he has called me to do. “Drawing from their counsel and that of the leadership of COZA and owing to my love for Lord’s work and the sacred honor of my calling I have decided to take a leave of absence from the pulpit of the church.” This came on the heels of protests asking the cleric to step down over rape allegations dogging him. Reacting, Fani- Kayode on his Twitter page commended Fatoyinbo for stepping down, as he called on Nigerians to put all their focus now on planned RUGA settlements. According to him, the COZA pastor is a great preacher and would rise again. The former minister further asked Nigerians to also channel their protest to a case of an Islamic cleric who reportedly raped a 16-year-old girl. Fani-Kayode wrote: “Now that Pastor Biodun Fatunyibo has stepped down as Pastor of COZA can we get back to RUGA? “An Islamic cleric rapes a 16-year-old girl yet no outrage is expressed on social media and no protests at the mosque. “Why the double standard? Is it because no-one knows the little girl and she comes from a poor home? Is it because she is a Muslim? Is she not a human being too? “At least Biodun Fatoyinbo had the decency and courage to step down. Politics › Re: Governor Wike: Rivers Is A Christian State – No Apologies by Kinikini: 5:16pm On Jun 24, 2019 |
And the dumb ones are so numerous. See how they are jumping up and down. Rivers is a Christian State, yet the Christian Governor has no scruples looting the state dry. Even Maiduguri with BH is looking more promising than PH. If it was a Kano Governor who said this, you can imagine how agitated all of them including CAN will become. A letter would immediately be sent to the UN, EU, and US. It is the South starting this now oh. What we can't finish, we better not start. I just wonder why Africa is cursed with leadership. AntiWailer: Oshey !!! play religious card.
It works for the dumb ones. |
