This country tribalism has killed us so much that some people prefer to give a contract to a foreigner from Niger republic than their fellow country men from the south
You may not know what is going on. These people (Fulanis) know what they are doing. The whole thing seems to be well planned out. The so called military contract was deliberately awarded to a Nigerien as one of the dubious ways of diverting our national wealth outside the country to possibly fund the emerging Fulani jihadist movements.

How is it that such a delicate procurement was given a foreigner? A potential terrorist at that.
A lot of things are going down in this country we have no clue about, probably this one has donated the equipment to his Boko Haram brothers or the Fulani herdsmen miscreants.
How can this country progress when the average Hausa/Fulani sees a Nigerien as his brother more than someone from southern Nigeria. As it is now people like Buhari prefer to give sensitive contract to a citizen of Niger Republic than give to a southern Nigerian.

Oh! The same way some Fulanis are now saying they are indigenes of Delta State (mainly Asaba area) since Buhari came to power. Don't worry time shall tell.

Barely literate abokki bastards forming lawyers. Just look at the poorly written junk of a 'press release' littered with grammatical errors, emanating from a supposed professional association whose principal tool of practice is the written and spoken word. Shameful..

Rubbish country.
I am surprised. The press release was poorly worded and full of grammatical errors. I doubt these people passed through the university system.

The bastards ruling Nigeria are so clueless to understand the implications of what Ghana is doing on our image. The previous time they demolished our embassy and nothing happened?!

Nigeria is exposed and we have lots of investments across Africa, both in the formal and informal sectors. When we allow a country like Ghana to humiliate us and get away with it successfully, we will only be sending a wrong message to the rest of Africa that they can do whatever they like to Nigerians and Nigerian owned businesses and still get away with it.

Teach Ghana a bitter lessen as a deterrent to others! That's how smart countries with pride and dignity to protect acts!!

What kind of country is Nigeria? Is Nigeria this useless??
What lesson can Nigeria teach Ghana? Forget it, Nigeria as it is now does not have the wherewithal to do so.

Let's stop receiving ourselves. No southern president is bold enough to repay back the nepotism Buhari is executing now because of this inherent cowardice mentality in us. Jonathan was there, instead of him to be brave enough to focus development in the South, he was busy pleasing the same north who were against him because of the inherent cowardice mentality. Just watch! Another Southerner will enter there and will start preaching national unity and may even appoint more northerners into his/her government.

Must every Senator sponsor bill? Is that how it's done in America from which we copied our adulterated federal system of government? If every Senator should bills the bills will be too numerous to be implemented or even documented. One of the main functions of the National Assembly is to check excesses of the executive and enthrone good governance, and not just sponsoring bills anyhow which may not have any beneficial impact on the society.

We Southerners are the cause of the unfavorable situation in Nigeria because we allowed the Northern Muslims to be feeling strong and above everyone. We are not one with them, we don't share the same history or whatsoever. And any time we are ready as a united force to pull out of this fake country they (Muslims) cannot stop us or withstand us.

What a cowardice advice! You mean people should run from their ancestral lands because of these bastard Islamic terrorists? Who are they? Do they have two heads? Supposed your ancestors behaved the way you had just suggested by fleeing from enemies, would you have inherited the land you now call your home? Instead of you to fashion out ways for your people to arm themselves and defend their homeland whether the terrorist government likes it or not, you are suggesting for them to accept defeat without a fight by fleeing to another country. What will you tell your descendants? That you are such a coward and unable to secure the land for their inheritance? The same land your ancestors secured for you? God, what kind of youths are we now producing in the South? Is it the kind of Christianity we practice here that is making our youth to be so weak and coward in behavior?

Asagba of Asaba is not ordained by an bini.

bini story is totally fictitious and non existing. they should try and come up with something worth proving...

bini is simply as of old a violent kingdom looking for whom to subdue and bestow their kinship upon before they were brutally stopped.

what you call dein of agbor is just aa recent term, he late father title is obi of agbor until this young man who feels he knows more than his father and fathers before his own father changed it to dein that even him doesn't know the meaning.
Are you an indigene of Asagba? If yes what is the name of your ancestral quarter in the town? If you are not an indigene of Asaba, then you need to understand that you as a stranger can not know the origin or narrate the history of the town better than the indigenes/owners of the land.

Stop fooling yourself the story of benin-ife emerged after 1914 except you want to prove me wrong with proved dating from 15c to 1913

If you cant shut your trap oba has been the title of benin
The title ogiso is a mystical tales told by the benins to make their royalty divine there was never an ogiso... But oba

That is the kinglist taking by Roupell's 1899 a year after benin was invaded the king list never included oromiyan neither did Roupell's mentioned it in his book, after 1930s talbot took is own kinglist and included oromiyan, esekhure took is kinglist and absconded oromiyan

Bro our king never came ife stop priding your self
Ill gotten history
Please stop that! The Ogiso Dynasty was very real. I am Urhobo and our migration history is centered around the Ogiso era and not the Oba Dynasty. Urhobo-Isoko history tells of migration of our ancestors from ancient Udo when it was under the Ogiso Dynasty. The Binis may have lost records of the Ogiso period, but the story of the Ogisos is still very strong in Urhobo-Isoko folklores and ancient stories. Infact, we are more familiar with the Ogiso story than with that of the Oba, because much of Urhobo-Isoko ancestors have left (due to the crises that followed the collapse of the Ogiso Dynasty) before the emergence of the Oba Dynasty. Up to date, there is more mention of ancient "Udo" town (which was the capital the kingdom ruled by the Ogisos known as Aka kingdom) than "Benin" in Urhobo-Isoko folklores because as at the time our ancestors migrated to our present locations the name "Benin" has not come into use.

NIgerian history is full of lies if you use your common sense to think it through.the yorubas where told they originated From oduduwa who fell from the sky with snail and a hen if you believe In this lie then you are Not a rational thinker how can a nation that spread as far as togo originate from little ileife most yorubas believe Yorubas are only found in Nigeria.our monarchs just wake up one morning and start telling lies to retain their throne and power and these lie are being told from generation to generation..sometimes I even doubt if there is truly any historic or ancestral afilliation between yorubas and bini because tradition, language and behaviour resembles that of their kind in the East of the Niger..
If you are a adherent follower of Nigerian history you will notice that Benin kingdom claims ownership of ijaw, itsekiri, urhobo western Igbos, idomas, igede, even igala.. grin.now I will be talking about the Igbos in delta and the ones in rivers state , now the question is this..

Why do bini claim all igbos speaking lands outside the southeast? Are they trying to say that Igbos in the hinterland never crossed the river Niger to settle West like other tribes migrate?or they never migrated southwards didn't our igbo ancestors migrate from the current South East? I believe there is a land grabbing agenda somewhere which might later result to ethnic cleansing of these Igbos it happened before (during asaba massacre) it even happened in the in ikot abasi in Akwa ibom because I learnt it was once am an Igbo speaking town.i only pity Igbos outside the southeast who believes this fake bini stories from their elders and monarchs only if they know what their agenda is.
As a person who is interested in history I came to the conclusion with research finding that the reason why Igbos outside the southeast especially in delta state have similar culture with binis is because they were once colonised by the bini, the Benin empire colonised a huge portion of West Africa during their reign starting from onitsha in to East down to the present day Liberia,Wherever they conquered they imposed their tradition and religion on the people they conquer it was the British that stopped their expanse If not they would have gone further than that.
It is impossible for Igbos to migrate from Benin and still have igbo names, even their cities are named Igbo names it is impossible.this is the computer age I believe we are smarter and exposed now we need to make finding..
I think the truth is that the whole territory from Umunede to Asaba were originally settled by Igbos, but their kingship/leadership/ the ruling houses came from ancient Benin Empire. And because in those days king own everything in his domain (the people, the land) wherever the king claim he originated from is therefore where the people originated from. Final! The king's subjects dare not counter his words. That is possibly the case with these Western Igbos because their kingship (Dein of Agbor, Asagba of Asagba, etc) were ordained by or came from ancient Benin.
