WebmastersAdvice On Buying Domains by kiwibabe(op): 10:51pm On Dec 11, 2006
Hey people, I need a bit of advice.

I want to buy a domain but I have no idea how it works, I have searched the name which is available, but I don't know what to do next. Any info would be appreciated.

Do I need to buy a domain with a host?
Is it advisable to take up the freebies that is offered with the site?
If I buy a domain from one site, can I get a different site to host it? (will they charge me for that?)
Is it advisable to buy a domain like from the US if I am in the UK.
If I buy the domain is it active or only available for me to design it until I buy a host?
What is the best amount of time to subscribe for a domain, i.e 1, 2, 5 year(s)?
Why is it different site charge different prices for domain names? (should I shop around?)

I have soo many questions but above is just a starting point.
Jokes EtcSubject: Asking For A Pay Raise by kiwibabe(op): 2:37pm On Dec 09, 2006
Hey Peeps, I love this joke! Just thought I should share it with you!

Subject: ASKING FOR A PAY RAISE

I, Dick Penis, hereby request a raise in salary for the following Reasons:

1. I do physical labour.
2. I work at great depths.
3. I plunge head first into everything I do.
4. I do not get weekends or public holidays off.
5. I work in a very damp environment.
6. I don't get paid overtime.
7. I work in a dark workplace that has poor ventilation.
8. I work in high temperatures, and my work exposes me to contagious diseases.

Dear Mr. Penis,

After assessing your request, and considering the arguments you have raised, the administration rejects your request for the following reasons:

1. You cannot work eight (cool hours straight.
2. You fall asleep on the job after brief work periods.
3. You do not always follow the orders of the management team.
4. You do not stay in your designated area and is often seen visiting other locations.
5. You do not take initiative, you need to be pressured and stimulated in order to start working.
6. You leave the workplace rather messy at the end of your shift.
7. You don't always observe necessary safety regulations, such as wearing the correct protective clothing.
8. You will retire well before you are sisty-five (65).
9. You are unable to work doubleshifts.
10. You sometimes leave your designated work before you have completed the assigned task.
11. And if that was not enough, you have been seen constantly entering and exiting the workplace carrying two suspicious bags.

Sincerely,
Management

FoodXmas Day Food by kiwibabe(op): 4:51pm On Dec 07, 2006
Hey peops, its comming up to the holiday season, and again as per usual I am cooking the christmas dinner for my family, and the endless list of soo called friends. But I am bored with christmas food, the turkey, the trimmings, jullof rice, fried rice, fired fish, dodo etc, (you catch my drift). All these foods are more like everyday foods.

What are you peops eating this year, what foods are you looking forward to eating?
Does anyone have any good recipes that they could share with a woman in need.
TravelRe: Can I Travel To Trinidad And Tobago Visa Free by kiwibabe(f): 10:00pm On Nov 14, 2006
From what I can make out, you do not require a visa if you are from a commonwealth country. That surprisingly includes Nigeria. So I am assuming that you do need a Visa. Check out the information below, that should give you a bit more of a clearer idea. I can't believe I am saying this, But for the first time in History I think you would be better travelling with a Nigerian passport if you are trying to avoid getting a visa HINT! HINT!. But hey, thats only my advice. Anyways check out the link below:

Who requires a visa?

(e) nationals of Korea (Rep) for stays not exceeding 90 days.

What documents will be required?

Valid passport required by all persons aged 16 years and over. Passport must be valid at least for the 6 months from date of return.

Note: All visitors must be in possession of a valid return ticket to their country of residence or citizenship and sufficient funds to maintain themselves whilst in Trinidad & Tobago.

Yeah thats soo true, I did not think it was a requirement for my soo called hushand to get my passport for me, but when we were in nigeria he had to filled out all the docs and stuff, at least we are on good terms, he would never try and prevent me from doing something, just let him try,

But truthfully something needs to change, because men could often use that to their own advantage it is a form of controlling women, no freedom without the mans say soo. I hate having tabs kept on me.

grin O ya bring your passport, let me keep it for you. grin

CareerWhat Skills And Attributes Determine Whether Or Not You Get A Job In Nigeria by kiwibabe(op): 11:46pm On Nov 05, 2006
Hello My people, I was wondering if you can help me, I am doing an assignment on cultural differences between nigeria and two other countries but I have become stuck and lost for words.

I need to know about the profiles of young people entering into work in nigeria, such as what skills/ attributes are required from employers in order for a young people/graduates to get a job, also what factors contribute to getting a job, such as family connections. Do employer's favour relatives more when it comes to filling a position.

Please does anyone have any answers for this, my search is not limited to CV's and Applications, so if anyone has any good sources of information please feel free to post.

Also can you please enlighten me on the selection process of different companies.

I know having the youth service certificate and that having experience helps but what else.

Does anyone have a job application for any type of company in nigeria that I can take a look at, i.e. a web link.

Or even what information you put on to your CV, this would help me out a lot.

Thanks My People.

CareerRe: Your Employer Pays You Twice By Mistake by kiwibabe(f): 11:27pm On Nov 05, 2006
The same kind of situation happened to me, and I am very greatful it did, I never returned the money, I kept silent, until I received my next pay to see if they had realised the mistake but to my surprise they did not. I thank my lucky stars cos I would never have been able to pay them back because as soon as money hits my a/c it dissappears without a trace with the various bills I have to pay.
Foreign AffairsRe: Saddam Hussein Sentenced To Death By Hanging by kiwibabe(f): 10:30pm On Nov 05, 2006
tinard:
This was all just stupid. You knew he would be sentenced to death immediately he was captured. I would have prefered a better sentence because this will all finish in a days work.

Death by hanging - 5mins
Electric chair - 30mins
Life imprisonment- 10years
Chaining him him to be flogged by the public everyday - Priceless
HAHAHAHHAHAHA that was funny.

But truthfully me I don't know about you guys but me I am very worried about the aftermath of his death, and how it will impact on the world, especially with all of these terrorist attacks happening on a regular basis.

His death will definately fuel a lot of anger

Ntyce is a good club down Woolwich side's, you go see plenty nigerians.

@ Coco29 Trust me the UK is not all that bad, I am currently staying in Asterdam for abit and it rains a lot more here than it does in the UK because it is built on water, when the UK was enjoying some sun this place had a rain storm for days and poeple dont compalin instead you see them riding their bicycles like foolish people.

A country is what you make it, if you want to have fun you will definately have fun.
RomanceRe: Nigerian Girls Are Not Romantic: Why? by kiwibabe(f): 2:14pm On Nov 05, 2006
Please People.

Tell me, in which way are nigerian gals unromantic, is it in bed, or displaying affection or what.

If women are unromantic, Men are more soo, they do not try hard enough.

There is only soo far a woman can go to prove how she really feels about a guy, I think we have learned the hard way to be very VERY careful with our feeling/emotions when it comes to guys. We don't want them walking all over us.

Big Up my STONG, INDEPENDANT WOMEN!!!!!!

TV/MoviesRe: Nigerian Video Club In Central London by kiwibabe(f): 7:24pm On Nov 03, 2006
Well I think Kilburn or Peckham is about a central as you will get. It depends what area you live in and how far your willing to travel. Peckham, Elephant & Castle, Camberwell, Brixton, Sheppherd's Bush, Kilburn, Hackney side's all have a huge nigerian community so there will definately be many places around them sort of ends.

Music/RadioNeed Info On Modele's Adara Song by kiwibabe(op): 8:02am On Nov 03, 2006
Does anyone know where I can get Modele's song called Adara, not Sasha's but Modele. I think its a great song, one of my favourites, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, and not many people seem to know what I am talking about. The only place I have found online to listen to it is on radiopalmwine. If anyone has a download or know's where I can download the song myself please respond.

Thanks

If you have not heard the song before, request it on Radiopalmwine and enjoy this woman's flavour.
FamilyRe: Wives: Would You Submit Your Paychecks To Your Husbands? by kiwibabe(f): 10:23pm On Oct 09, 2006
Lets think about the situation logically. If you submit your payments to "the family piggy bank" and then say the unthinkable happens, your relationship does not work out, you end up in divorce, who gets the lions share of the money in that piggy bank.
ONE PARTNER ALWAYS LOSES. I KNOW I WILL DEFINATELY NOT BE IN THAT SITUATION TO LOOSE MY FINANCIAL SECURITY. I would be the first person knocking on the banks to door to prevent my soo called partner from getting access to my money.

LiteratureRe: Do Nigerians Read? by kiwibabe(f): 2:10pm On Oct 07, 2006
Its a lie!

Nigerians do read and they read a lot, especially novels and stuff. I borrow must of the books I read from other fellow nigerians. It beats paying.
Many are really smart and use the information that they have read to influence their own lives. Many nigerians are very SHARP and SMART. Take for instance those that go to Unversity, they must have read something for them to be there.

Knowledge is power!!!

I would just like to point out that I can't speak for people inside Nigeria but for those outside.

I can almost bet that most of the money made from the event will be going to the celebrities for their fee (for actually turning up). There is plenty money to be made.

I wonder if their flight and accommodation is free as well.
