When you are given your TRV...An attachment comes with the mail which contains your intro letter.Your offer letter from your school is your admission letter.

Got a call from CDHC asking if i had paid d one year tuition (funny question)-Aug 28
Faith carry me go VFS-Aug 29 (chop visa that day).

Shadams: Well said. Kjbobo. I believe in the idea that God uses anything - including mails and strategic communication skills- to facilitate his plan for our Canada trip. Two day ago, I mistakenly sent Cdhc 6mails (two from my gmail and 4 from my usask.mail) and all within 15mins; the next day, they called on phone to ask for my opinion about my passport- renewal or stamp. When I told the woman to allow me renew, I felt a long pause from the other end. This told me that she could have felt the persistence of my mails, plus content did not affirm the decision to renew first. That is another issue, though.

So, to corroborate your point. They read the mails. I hope someone here will find this useful. Meanwhile, best wishes to us all. Happy weekend. God reigns. Forever!

Thanks for the compliments! I totally agree with you on the mail sent by earthgreeners' s supervisor making an impact. ...I totally hate to believe in co-incidences.......I believe things happen when consistent and deliberate steps are taken!
I think quite a number of us don't enjoy doing mails.....
I was sharing with someone yesterday that mails can go a long way to speed up your application!
Just three days ago...I missed CDHC call and I quickly sent a mail to them to please call back and they responded in 3mins.
I also sent a mail that I wanted to know if my passport has been dispatched to VFS. ..They replied in less than 20mins!
You know what that means? They see all those mails we send...they just choose not to respond! So that's why I always advise to keep sending compassionate mails every day if possible. ..hoping that one will touch the official's heart with prayers!
I believe this...so strongly!
If you have submitted all needed stuff as TRV awaitee or expecting medicals....be persistent with your requests....you never know!

Denied for financial reasons. Not satisfied I have enuff finances for tuition without working

Sponsorship not credible. Self sponsored. Had $40k in account but just transfered $6,500 out of it to humber before printing statement. My program in Humber was about $13k. The twist is that after rejection by Saint Mary's University, they reconsidered and gave me admission just before applying for visa. SMU's program cost $25k by which time I had drawn down my account to about $34k. I did not want "not bonafide student stuff" again so I went with SMU which seemed more credibe to me (Masters as against PGD) considering I already had an MBA 10 years ago (2003)!.

I am truly financially handicapped right now as I had since invested all my money in a business venture. I will try to pay all fees upfront next year before applying hoping that if finance is the problem, I can solve it by paying while leaving all other things constant.

Thanks folks. I might have lost now but it's been a good race. I am satisfied. Had I been asked to pay, I had made some contigency arrangements to source most of the funds at short notice but it would have been tough and from my recent experiences, people disappoint often times so it's really better to be fully prepared.

Last year finance was not expressly listed. It was Not bonafide student, not satisfied you will return and not credible. Another major difference apart from level of course program is that I put my certificates this time around having only recently collected them (BSc & MBA). Only put SSCE last year.

I seriously have this feeling that this VO humans sef never open my file.

And to make matters worse I leave Abuja finally tomorrow. Didn't extend my contract.

I will suggest you hold on for the embassy to contact you first cos at this stage its very "unlikely" you can make September anymore. So chill...keep hoping embassy calls...after medicals. ..they will tell you to request for new start date.so you can actually start discussing with your school. .soon after your medicals. ..since you know that will be the embassy's next move!

deebla: I was at CDHC yesterday... I filled their form and within 2 hours, I was called over the phone that my medical result has not be gotten by then.

Then I headed straight to Children practice. Lo and behold, those pple said my x-ray result was not uploaded on the e-medical portal due to software error. I weak instantly. The doctors sha said they will ensure its uploaded today or latest tomorrow on the e-medical portal.

Imagine if I I had not gone there, I would jst be checking mails and tracking for nothing... Please guys, follow up your stuff for any itch o, if U are experiencing delay.

I said it yesterday. ..if your medicals dont get to embassy in less than two weeks...there is a huge challenge! ...its either a technical fault (like what deebla just showed us or a terminal ailment)
A client's results was delayed cos she tested positive to HIV.

daimler: I have been on this journey since last year, I did my first medicals first week in august 2012,I dint hear any response from the embassy until january 2013,I was advised to withdraw the application and reapply cos my application was stale(it had spent 7 months with the embassy).I want to believe asaju messed up my medical result till time elapsed for resumption @ school.I had to reapply this april though I have done my medicals @ asaju again. May God deliver us from naija institutions

I dont believe Asaju is that bad ooo..A couple have used it and got there TRV WITHIN 3-4 weeks on the average!
Those guys at the embassy just forgot your application on their desk (my opinion)
Just go there tomorrow but compose a mail today detailing what happened from last year and how you were advised to withdraw your application!
I believe by tomorrow you will have your TRV ..try it prayerfully!

After due consultation I will like to roll out Lesson2 (especially for TRV awaitees)
For those planning to storm CDHC:
There are 3 possible scenarios:
You can be called on your phone, their intercom or be told to come in !
If called. ..the few seconds you are gonna have on phone to speak with the Official can be very crucial....at that point, , choice of words can help!
By now, , we will all agree that medicals get to the embassy in less than two weeks! (At least in my case I was able to confirm my VISA was ready approximately 9 working days)
....so the 3-4 weeks na bobo! If you plan to storm CDHC after medicals had been done in more than two weeks a and further instructions taken care of. ..the following are salient:
They dont want you to know that you can get your VISA less than two weeks after medicals so they will tell you:"your application is still in process"
But you can use this "tried" and "trusted" principle on the phone with the Official by asking what I call "insightful" questions! For e.g you can say "I haven't resigned from work and a lot of things are being put on hold cos of this delay in knowing my status, what do you advice I do?" or saying "all plans made towards the trip or not to make the trip are completely on hold cos of the delay"...when saying this:Listen attentively to what the official will say and not say!
Honestly, you will know if your VISA is ready by Official's response or silence!
I tried this and have shared this with a couple of people in the mail and have gotten calls that it worked!
In asking the insightful questions. ...play an emotional game with it....even if you dont leave eventually with your passport. ..you will go home smiling

I stand to be corrected though. Pls can those that TRV comment on this telling us where out of the both hospitals where used.

I agree with you. ..and I advised people generally when I observed. ..the reasons I have are "unverified" so won't want to share it

adewaleafolabi: 16 weeks you should be at CDHC reminding them that. An inquiry would do no harm remember they said average processing time is 4 - 6 months. So at least you should have heard something now.

All the best bro...but you don't want to get there after 12.it takes an average of 2 hrs to get their response and depending on the number people at the gate. ..my case:got there past one but got called few minutes to 4 that it was late to attend to me...although, Lauree was attended to past four because she came before me.
