I am glad Chrigo has made the so-called needed adjustments with his smileys. (And by the way, it seems to me that most of you ogas in Canada are the ones who feel most irritated by these images, and that for me is interesting. Have u thought about somebody also getting irritated because another forum member posts comments using bold letters and/or upper cases? I think what comes across as offensive in a public communication space as this may be subjective, but isn't the rule of the game tolerance and love? I think so too! )

By the way, if a post by a forum member does not come across to you as possessing sufficient information value; you could just move on to the next one, what do you think?

My has advised I pay tuition b4 sept4. How do I handle this without assurance of medicals from CDHC. your sincere advice plssssss!!

As regards phone call.You wont even be able to.Try the number...and when it gets to asking questions on application. It will tell you. .."we have stopped recieving enquiries on phone please visit our site"
You have to exhaust all possible options like going to their office and making payments would not be a good option in my opinion!

I just got an email notification informing me that i had a message in mycic account. I've been asked to bring my passport to CDHC "to finalize processing of my application". I did medicals on July 11th and my results were sent to the embassy on the 25th. God is faithful!

Sorry...When you said you saw the message in your cic thought you were referring to medicals too.probably you forgot to mention the hospital.

The mail they sent to me yesterday clearly states they get medicals within 3-4 wks.
Yours is a lil over..I will advise you visit them especially if you are within lag and resumption is near.

Even CDHC advised that Passport should be returned as soon as you're tru wit your medic.

Yes boss..you right..but lets brainstorm. ..How do you explain online applicants being told to bring their passports immediately their med results got to the embassy?
That suggests to us applications are attended to based on when med results get to embassy (assuming there arent further instructions) not necessarily when you submitted your passport.
Lemme paint this scenario to you.
Assuming I was called on 10th and you called on 15th...if u did meds on 18th and held your passport and could not submit till maybe 25th.And me, even though was called before you but did meds 21st and submitted 22nd before you.
All other things being equal, your results will get to them before mine and your application attended to before mine even though I submitted my passport to vfs before you!
Do you agree?

Yea...samples are interpreted in their respective countries and results sent. ..but the e-medical software is centralized for collation in France and sent to respective clinics.
In a nutshell, no hospital has a direct link with CDHC. .but with France. .then France (which I believe is a Med centre) has the direct access!
And as we have been able to observe, seems as if guys that went through the online route get notification in their account when their results are sent to the embassy(another positive for online) as we observed in Aduke02's case, she said she did medicals July 11 and got notification in her account on 25th that her meds has been sent (exactly two weeks).I stand to be corrected, dont think vfs route gives this notification!

For the record...I will like to clear the misconception I had..you were right on the "France story"..As I thought that they were saying samples were sent to France for interpretation(which I found difficult to believe). ...but what was being said was that results (e-medicals) were usually sent to France from all the approved clinics across the globe... That's the Central collation point then decentralized to respective embassies.
So you were correct.
For the records friends. .the next time you call clinic for your results and they tell you its been sent (they are saying sent to France not Embassy).

Just got a mail from CDHC. ..that they are yet to get my medicals. ..That it will take 3-4 wks to get to them!
This was in response to the mail I sent to them with respect to the resumption date-AUGUST 26TH.

When is your start date? If the date on your letter is passed before you are called...you will most likely be told to get a letter from school.
You might not be able to negotiate the number of weeks if aint well acquainted with your school's calendar. ...for instance, I doubt if any school will give more than two weeks after start date...and I hope you dont have extra instructions? If you do..you've got to do "usain bolt" like Chrigo will say!

adewaleafolabi: my people I was at CDHC today and I got a call from them. I was told to chill and I explained my predicament and they said they are aware that resumption date is near.

I further explained to her that I came from Abuja and she said I should have sent a mail first, I told her I did but never got a response. she verified my email and apologized for the delay and said hopefully they'd get back soon.

got home checked my email saw a response to my previous email saying they are currently processing those that submitted on may 15th. So hopefully it would soon be our turn

I believe they know what they are checking for or looking out for and d results would be dated (not sure tho).what if they realize the test has been done b4 the date they even sent you a mail to do your medical examination.If for instance,after the test,I decide to get pregnant.how would they detect that since I already did d test b4 I was called?I think they have set standards sha and won't do such.These cdhc pple are looking for ways not to make us go to their country na but God dey.do you know anyone who has done it b4?

Yep... ..the medicals expire in one year.....I am not compelling anyone...I have had people even submit medicals with application.
My two friends did medicals last year August.they couldnot get their TRV last year cos they got their med call ups on August 14th last year and before doing mwdicals and paying. ..time had gone and school said they should resume this year.
CDHC gave them their TRV this july (a year later) without telling them to do medicals again! One travelled last sunday..while the other is going this Sunday.
Honestly, If they had done the medicals earlier...they probably would have travelled last year. .

Hotels in Ikoyi will be quite expensive around Ikoyi. ..I will advise you stick up with a friend in Lagos and wake up very early..
My experience...I stayed with a friend in gbagada and woke up around 4a.m..got to consultant's practice around 5.20 but was still no4..People got there 3a.m!
I went with my ride and those that got there that early did too.
If its consultant's practice (which I prefer) they dont allow booking..they will tell you they attend to first ten people..although I discovered na pure lie! I found out they do 40 per day!
Asaju I found out allow booking..so make a choice.
I will say get there around 6.30 7 a.m and you will still be fine.
