Qualification date is 22nd April

Close of register 25-29th April.

Can i sell on 23rd April i.e after qualification and still get the dividend or i have to wait till after 29th.

Pls someone throw more light!

23rd and 24th are weekends and non-trading days, so you cannot sell on those days.

The qualification date is on Friday, while the register will be closed on the next trading date which is Monday (25th) to the following Friday (29th)

The Governors will kill it at the House of Assembly stage. The Governors use the appointees method to win primaries to install their Senators and punish any "errant" Abuja representative.

Infact, even from the NA it will fail.

Electoral Bill is not a constitutional amendment bill that needs approval of the state houses of assembly.

The Bill has become an Act upon presidential assent and there is nothing any state Governor can do about it except challenging it in court.

Ok you made a nice point,but if I may ask,is this constituency projects legal?,is it back by law or the Constitution?, I'm not sure but there are claims that it was introduced by obasanjo as a way winning over the NASS,if that is true then why can't the president if truly he is desirous of ending budget padding approach the supreme Court to declare it unconstitutional n end it permanently?.

It wasn't introduced by Obasanjo, it was introduced by Nass during Obasanjo tenure.

The constitutionality of constituency project has not been tested in court but it is the legislature that the constitution gives the power of appropriation.

Their contention is that if they are the one with that power, they cannot just rubber-stamp executive proposals by way of budget just like that without their own input.

That is why the issue of budget padding cannot be easily defined. How do you accuse somebody who has constitutional authority to approve the budget estimates of padding it because he removes some of the executive proposals and inserts his own?

It is like accusing the Board of Directors of padding a proposal sent to the the Board for approval by the CEO

Imagine this nonsense,it simply means the budget proposal document was not even properly perused after it went through the NASS before been signed by the president!.

If you had followed the news earlier, he protested when he was signing the budget in December and promised to write the Nass to delete those projects.

In 2016, he declined signing the budget on account of the same issue but found out later that he couldn't win against Nass as they delayed the budget till the middle of year when it supposed to have taken effect in January.

Same thing happened during Jonathan regime and it wasn't resolved until Okonjo-Iweala bowed to their wish to include the constituency projects.

But the statement by the NDLEA did not exonerate their officers in Enugu if that is the aim.

If the NDLEA officers at the airport were not in on the deal, how did a whole 25kg of cocaine escape their detection before Kyari gang intercepted the couriers outside the airport?

Kyari was not fighting for the release of the arrested couriers. He only approached the ndlea officers to cover his own crime up.

He seized 25kg of cocaine, sold 15kg off and replaced the sold part with powder. The ndlea officers the IGP asked to be arrested are those at Enugu Airport that colluded with and cleared the couriers before the police intercepted them, not those that conducted the sting operation in Abuja.

Police cannot prosecute drug case, it has to be referred to NDLEA.

NDLEA cannot prosecute economic & financial crimes case (e.g. fake currency), it has to hand it over to EFCC

EFCC cannot prosecute murder case, it has to hand it over to Police.
