Nice development but they should also make the vote counting electronic and phase out manual vote counting, as that has always been the main avenue ballot snatchers have used to disrupt elections.

It should be done in such a way, that once an electorate thumb prints on the logo of his preferred political party which will be displayed on a monitor, the vote is electronically counted and recorded and can be viewed in real time from the portal.

For those who know Ondo politics very well, this move, if confirmed, has made Akeredolu's 2nd term SO EASY!

Now, this is it:

1. Mimiko and Akeredolu have been close friends from their time together at OAU (known as University of Ife at that time). They were both elected into the Students Union Government (SUG) at Ife. That friendship hasn't waned.

2. Akeredolu was one of the very active lawyers who fought for the recovery of Mimiko's Labour Party governorship mandate from Agagu of PDP up to the final court, in a long legal tussle sponsored and financed by Tinubu! So, it is payback time for a huge favour.

3. Since Akeredolu defeated Mimiko's anointed successor, Eyitayo Jegede, and got elected, he has NEVER publicly criticized Mimiko or Mimiko's government. It is rare for a Governor from a different political party not to criticise his predecessor who ruled under a different party! It happened because they are friends and Akeredolu actually told his cabinet members not to insult Mimiko at all. He also publicly stated that he won't probe Mimiko's government!

4. Ajayi, the current Deputy Governor, is from Ondo South, where he is strong politically. However, to neutralise him, Akeredolu has picked a younger version of Ajayi, Lucky, from the same area as Ajayi! So, even if Ajayi is expected to do well in the election Zenith Labour Party candidate in his own senatorial district, he will likely share votes with Lucky! Akeredolu will clear his Ondo North Senatorial District, considering 'son of the soil' mentality, like he did in 2016. Akure, in Ondo Central, where Jegede is from, will be shared among the three, due to its cosmopolitan nature and because being the state capital, no ethnic group is dominant.

5. Underground, if Ajayi eventually joins Zenith Labour Party, Mimiko might use him as a pawn to work secretly for his own personal friend, Akeredolu!

Largely, PDP's error was picking Jegede, a featherweight who got the votes he got in 2016 due to Mimiko's incumbency factor, instead of Ajayi, who is a grassroots politician who had previously been elected into the House of Representatives. It was a great mistake PDP made!

Now, with Ajayi reportedly "porting" to a weak ZLP, it's ROAD IS NOW CLEAR FOR AKEREDOLU!!!

National Assembly Service Commission is equivalent of Federal Civil Service Commission and it is responsible for recruitment, discipline and promotion of national assembly staff.

National Assembly Management comprises top level staff at the level of Directors, Secretaries and Clerks.

Note that the definition of Secretaries and Clerks here is not typists ooo but high level staff above the rank of Directors

That is not correct.

1. NFIU office and anti-terrorism section of efcc had always been at Ibrahim Taiwo Street in the villa zone of Asokoro right from inception. Same with the Bureau for Public Procurement.

2. At inception, it was placed under efcc and headed by a Director - Okarau (now DG of Governors Forum)

3. It was the 8th National Assembly under Saraki that removed it from the control of efcc and made it autonomous but domiciled with CBN.
It is domiciled under CBN for administrative purpose as required by Ergomont Group which threatened sanction on Nigeria for non-compliance not that it has its main office inside CBN building.

So, it was initially under efcc, then CBN, not the other way round as you stated.

Now the history.

AP Plc was government owned and run by nnpc nominees prior to privatisation in 2001.

It was privatised by the BPE to Sadiq Oil owned by Peter Okocha (a protege of Atiku) in 2001

When Sadiq took over, they found that the company was owing nnpc and banks which were not disclosed during due diligence (the nnpc nominated directors had used their insider's relationship to misrepresent to the auditors that no liability of such existed)

A presidential commission of inquiry was set up to unravel the fraud but before its report could be released in 2004/2005, Obj/Atiku quarrel escalated and Obj people went for AP (since okocha is seen as atiku's confidant) by instigating nnpc to demand for repayment of its credit that was still being challenged or otherwise convert it to shares.

With presidential backing, the trade payable was converted to shares in favour of nnpc (thus removing the trade payable liability) but it materially reduced the core investment holding of Sadiq Oil, so Sadiq oil decided to bail out by selling its now heavily diluted stake to a group reportedly shadowing for Ibori/Ighara cabal and were in control Afribank then. Mission accomplished for Obj and his people.

On exit of Sadiq group, Obj initially offered the nnpc shares to Jimoh Ibrahim's Energy group but Jimoh was in the opposition ANPP then, so it was withdrawn and given to Ote$.

With Ote$ in the saddle, the hitherto unreleased report of the presidential inquiry was released and the banks were indicted and all of them required to refund the excess interests they had collected which was partly used to wipe off their principal. For some years, the major income of AP was interest write-back and subsidies refund.

Around 2010/11, Ote$ capitalised on his friendship with the newly installed GEJ and the GEJ/Ibori beef to muscled out the Ibori/Afribank group in a messy publicised corporate fight. He won and renamed AP to FO (his initials).
