Did he memorize the answer to regurgitate in NTA interview as well?

Hope you are aware accountant general prepares salaries for all ministries
Then, there is no financial autonomy for other arms in that state.

At federal level, Accountant General doesn’t prepare salaries for National Assembly staff. In fact he doesn’t know their condition of service.

Eriokanmi:
So, you meant the ACs installed inside the shoprite too were owned by the mall property? Why was this not the case in other outlets and shops within the mall?
The mall is centrally air conditioned.
BusinessRe: Nigerian Company, Ketron, Acquires Shoprite Stores by klas(m): 8:52am On Jun 02, 2021
Eriokanmi:
Since handover of shoprite to the Nigerian company, it's been hell. Light goes off every minute and AC isn't working effectively each time I visit the one inside ikeja shopping mall. I do say to myself...welcome to Nigeria lool. People queuing behind me, who were also sweating profusely at payment point were just laughing.

I managed to take a picture of the scene during my recent visit. The guy in the picture didn't know I took the shot sef. Must we always count on foreigners before things work in this country? Can't any Nigerian company raise the bar for once? This is appalling
You confused shoprite with the mall in which it is situated.
Shoprite is just a tenant in all the malls where it does business.
Shoprite, Game, Mr Price, etc are just anchor tenants in the malls just like other shop owners there, they don’t have any property in Nigeria.
The deficiencies you listed here are the faults of the mall property managers, not the tenants.

By the way, the acquisition of the shoprite franchise is done by Tayo Amusan, the owner of Palms Mall V.I. He is also the owner of malls in Ibadan, Ota, Enugu and Ilorin where Shoprite is the anchor tenant.

Novare, Resilient, Gruppo and Actis are other big landlords of shoprite in other parts of the country

She got married in the early 2000s (wedding conducted in an aircraft airborne) She can correct the 'I was 18 when I got married'
That ‘aircraft wedding’ was just a formalization. She was long married and had kid(s?) before then.

Please does anybody know when Mobil will pay off the dissenting shareholders?

I thought I read April 16th as the deadline to pay somewhere.

Shouldn’t the company be required to pay dividends to dissenters if they have not been paid off by 29 April that is dividend qualification date?

Still chasing foreign money instead of focusing on building the economy.

The whole world celebrated Jumia on the NYSE but Jumia debut in Africa and had its greatest success in Nigeria and yet left Africans unable to invest by going to the NYSE

So this is really not that far fetched huh undecided
NASD is also a Nigerian stock exchange based in Lagos and transactions there are done in naira.

NGX Group is listed at N25 but gained a bit on the first trading day to rise to N25.19

There may be NASD in other countries, but the one in question is the Nigerian owned.
PoliticsRe: Osita Chidoka: Awolowo Was Unforgiving, Introduced Ethnic Politics To Nigeria by klas(m): 10:38am On Mar 23, 2021
kettykin:
No because of the platform he used to achieve that, he overnight caused all yoruba speaking members of the party to cross carpet
Of which party?

Name one member of NCNC that crossed carpet in 1952.

All those who decamped were members of Ibadan Peoples Party (IPP) led by Adisa Akinloye.

Both AG and NCNC were banking on the support of the IPP to have good majority in the house of assembly even though AG still had more elected members than NCNC but should IPP support NCNC, the alliance would have got the majority.

IPP decided to support AG because Azikiwe was not thinking of allowing a yoruba leader in NCNC to be the Western Nigeria Leader of Government Business (an equivalent of Premier then) and the igbo party started the propaganda of ethnicity having lost out.

I don't get it.This banks sold off this arms which made them more profitable as a bank. Why do they now want to buy them back through the Holdco idea as most of this arms whr only making loses
The banks didn’t sell off the ‘subsidiaries’ on account of loss making but in compliance with the regulatory directives.

CBN directed that stand-alone bank cannot have investments in those finance companies except such bank adopts holding company structure (holdco).

First Bank, FCMB, Stanbic adopted holdco model and retained the subsidiaries while GTB, Access, Zenith adopted stand-alone model and divested from the subsidiaries. GTB and Access have reversed their model to holdco now.

UBA also doesn’t adopt holdco but have common ownership with UCAP, Afriland, African Prudential through Heirs holdings owned by Elumelu.

Sultan said 7/8 out of 10 ARRESTED kidnappers are fulanis but you interpreted that to be 80% of all fulanis.

So, since arrested drug traffickers in Asia are mostly Nigerians, then most Nigerians are traffickers

Praxis758:
Pls what are the diffenecences career diplomat and not career ones.

Those with knowledge of Int'l relations pls enlighten me.
Career diplomats are trained civil servants working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and they rise through the ranks to ambassadorial level which is the highest level in the ministry. Ambassadorial level is a rank to them and you can be promoted to that level without being posted out to a foreign country but you are still an ambassador just like being a General in the army.

Non career diplomats are mostly politicians or influential persons and not trained in art of diplomacy but just rewarded with diplomatic postings for their political affiliation and influence. They will usually be supported with a trained career persons as Deputy or Head of Mission.

This simply means, you can only be an investor, if you trade, the government will slam you the notorious CAPITAL GAIN TAX.
The above shed more light on CTG.

trader and investor account.

If you trade like locodemy, u will pay CTG
If you invest like OGG and madam Mercy the Central Network News of NSEMPA , you will skip CTG.
If you buy today and sell tomorrow, you will pay CTG.
We do not know the cap yet, ctg often comes with cap, maybe any profit after N100k, you will be expected to pay +/_ 20 to 40%.
Goodluck and happy investing in 2021.
shocked shocked shocked

@ Dunka and others should ignore the ignorance espoused with confidence by the poster. He apparently doesn’t know jack about capital gain tax.

Sections 26 - 40 of the Capital Gain Tax Act (LFN 2004) expressly exempt gains from disposal of shares and stock from capital gain tax. This is common sense because your gains form part of your income that is declarable and chargeable under personal income tax (in case of individual) and company income tax (where the investor is a corporate)

The only amendment made to Capital Gain Tax Act in the Finance Act 2021 is to increase the threshold for compensation for loss of office to N10m from mere N10,000. This means you won’t pay CGT on any compensation below N10m. Note that you will NOT pay personal income tax also on the compensation.

By the way, investors will prefer to be subjected to CGT than Income tax. CGT is just 10% unlike company income tax that is 30% and personal income tax that max out at 35%.

Always remember the basic tenet of taxation that the same income cannot be subjected to the same type of taxation twice. Gain and income are the same and can only be taxed under one tax or the other, not both.

I really think that this NYSC of a thing has way outlived its usefulness. It is totally meaningless. Even if the government wants to use the new graduates at subsidized rates, it should at least restrict them to where they studied or their states of origin. This will even encourage individual states to motivate their indigenes to go and study; leading to a more educated country.
This has nothing to do with youth service but failure of government to secure the lives of citizens especially in the north.

Note that they travelled all the way from Osun state only to be attacked at Jere a few kilometers to Kaduna. That village is notorious for attacks on motorists and even on trains.

Even without participating in nysc, they could have been traveling for any reason along that route since it is near their state

He was appointed by Murtala in 1975, he simply continued under General Obasanjo and Shagari before resigning to join NNPC.

Today we have legion of press officers serving the president and another battalion serving the VP.

EducationRe: Covenant University Appoints Professor Bassey Williams As Acting Vice Chancellor by klas(m): 5:17pm On Sep 24, 2020
HigherEd:
Hmm Covenant is not really the school to appoint an acting management official unless something unsatisfactory happened. In this case I am sure the University slip from number 1 in Nigeria and west Africa to number 4 in Nigeria on the new times higher education ranking must have been the reason.

Usually they would have selected a new VC by conducting the selection process months ago or allowed the past VC to run a second term. Choosing an acting VC shows that replacing the VC in view of the expiration of his term was not prepared for.
His first term of 4 years ended in July 2020.

By virtue of Statute 6(2) of the Covenant University Law (repeal and re-enactment 2019), he should be in his 2nd term now.
I think he was removed by the Chancellor exercising his powers under Statute 24(2).

He didn't stay in APC to fight and defeat Tinubu. He decamped to another party and won an election from there.

Having decamped, he should leave the questioning of the governance structure of APC to its members. It doesn't concern him again
