Police came and offered him advice on how to be a good boy; that since he's working he can get another one. Worse off all, they requested for transportation fare back to their station. yes, stealing is their habit. full of Theft. |

GTB has different threshold for different currency. It depend on the supply and demand. I CAD=244NGN; 1USD=321. Max for POS/Online Transaction is 100USD, 360CAD and 130EURO. It depend which you are doing. Regards, |

Riddeek: wait ooo so you mean u were charged at the rate of (lets say 23 at most) 23000/90 = 255.56 naira per canadian dollar... So wat abt all those stuffs i have been reading online abt it being around 350~360 naira per CAD? Or did Buhari's naira suddenly appreciate overnight? many banks refused to sell due to the CBN condition (don't sell more than 5NGN above/below official rate). GTB only permit their Mastercard naira debit cards which you can have access to 360CAD max per month. 1CAD=244NGN |

Good morning, i have BSc in Physics and i have quite applied to some universities for master programs in Canada and the admission has been like a rocket science for me as majority of the schools in Canada required me to secure a supervisor and the process has been too hard and time wasting. Either the supervisors say they are not accepting new student or that their is no research funding. Now, i have considered changing my program to a related course-based in low tuition university but my question is that i need to know if this will not wane my VISA application success. Also, i will be glad if some1 could help provide names of universities that accept MSc physics student with UG GPA of Second Class upper. Advice will be appreciated. Thank you |

sirRiddy: Hi, that is a very good GPA, not great for top 25 programs though. These programs have so many 3.9/4 GPA guys applying to them. Crush your GRE and choose your schools wisely. PhD admission is competitve, you need to really work on your applications. Good luck. Do not hesitate to ask further questions if and when the need arises. thanks SirRiddy, I really appreciate. mine is 3.97/5.00 what do you think, should go ahead apply for PhD programs directly. many thanks |

For PhD admission, you need a high GPA. Good luck. SirRiddy, please does a GPA of 3.97 out 5.00 adequate for a PhD. please kindly advise. thanks God bless |

Mayflowa: Why not? It is very possible. It's depends on the combination of your profile and choice of school/research area.
By profile, I mean ur cgpa, GRE and TOEFL scores, statement of purpose and references.
Some department allows u to view faculty research publication for criticism like university of Houston mechanical engineering. Generally, if u have a good review a staff publication and report to him by email, you will surely be loved. That is necessary for research funding.
For very good profile like mikky4all, he can bag a fellowship with good test scores. That means he doesn't hv to work for anyone or do anything to get that money. thank boss & God Bless, I really appreciate. |

Mayflowa: why mikky4all dey rush? He has a first class and want to gamble it away. This is a lifetime opportunity that he is playing with. He should go see down and prepare hard for GRE and probably retake TOEFL. I am expecting a score of 320 upward from him.
He is a candidate full funding PhD in a good school, ivy league inclusive but his level of anxiety may not help him o. Please slow down and be guided as Holudarey01 has said. dear Mayflower, I which to know how certain can a candidate with a second class upper in physical sciences land him self with a full funding admission. please help advise sincerely. famous17: Am in a similar situation now and really confused. My department has reviewed my application and found me academically eligible but cannot admit me yet until a supervisor signs my form. I have secured a supervisor but he refused to sign until he gets his grant decision this April. I want the funding too but the wait for his decision is almost killing me. He asked me if i require funding which i said yes, but told him i will still work with him if his funding does not come. But he has not replied me yet.
Pls anyone in M.Sc Env. Sci MUN or has anyone applied there for fall and has gotten adission letter? For those there, do i really require supervisor funding diff from the department own since its a research based course? Should i keep on waiting till whenever he get his funding? Pls i need ur response quickly ok, please what department? |

since you have a 1st class, why not try apply to schools in Canada and choose thesis route. Rgds soulhighman: Good day bros. I am thinking of applying to earn my masters degree in Biotechnology abroad. I do not have the funds to do so. But I had been hoping I could win a scholarship to study abroad. To achieve this I spent my nysc allowance on getting international passport and taking the ielts test, where I scored 7.5. But so far, since I have been applying for scholarships, I have not won any. Recently, someone advised me to apply for usa student visa, stating that its cheap and that i can deffere admisiion when I get there and then work to earn some money and pay my school fees. I would like to know whether the above is true and how easy it is. Also, I could see you were talking about funding by the schools, please tell me how to go about it. And what are my chances of getting a teaching assitant appointment. I graduated with a first class degree in microbiology and would like to bag my masters degree in biotechnology. Urgent reply needed please. |
