mktinsight: The topography of Nzam makes it challenging to build good roads without heavy expenditure. It is in a flood zone. There is no road you can build there that will not collapse within years. So are you going to spend billions to build a long elevated bridge and for what? Whats the economic value of Anambra West? Did the federal government not build the Otuocha-Nzam-Ibaji road that was supposed to link Otuocha to Abuja that collapsed? Perhaps for riverine communities not just along the Niger River but in the Niger Delta more thought needs to go into expanding the use of water transport from just canoes to larger barges.
mktinsight: Is it only nzam that has plight of no roads or bad roads? Ask everybody in Anambra state. WHAT ANSG should stop doing is promising everybody road given that their budget is poor. List out all roads that need to be worked on and assign them priorities based on ECONOMIC VALUE and REALISTIC execution dates.
They need to stop using 100 rubbish contractors and do what Sullivan Chime did which is give all roads to ONE or TWO world class company that will give them massive discount for building many roads.
They need to start sourcing fund for roads especially in urban areas and start doing what civilized people do which is organize partnerships with local property owners in high density areas. For example, there is no reason why a typical 300m inner road in Awka or Onitsha with 20-40 houses cannot contribute half of the cost of building a road that should not cost more than 15m. That is 300,000 per building or 100,000 per year over 3 years.
Please NZAM is exceptional, do you know that since inception of this world, NZAM have not have any single tarred road, no electricity, no quality water supply and many to mention. It's a pitiful condition that befall on us for years long. So who will alleviate the suffering from us is outmost important. So please you show some spirit sportsmanship for people of NZAM and Anambra west entirely.
mktinsight: In summary Anambra State government continues building rural roads to villagers while DESIGNING roads in Awka and Onitsha where millions of people live. I once drove on the Umuawulu - Ufuma road built by Obi and every few minutes a car or bus would pass by. Meanwhile thousands of cars pileup in inner Awka and Onitsha because of the lack of access roads.
They need to prioritize roads on a formula based on usage not sentiment. Urban roads should get highest priority followed by remote rural roads.
Please don't say this!!!!! NZAM road is important as necessary, our plight condition must terminate as of the end of this administration.
That bridge is shaking vigorously, especially when a vehicle passes by. The government and the contractor handling the second niger bridge should expidite action on that second niger bridge for fast completion so as to channel vehicle movement to the second niger bridge to avert disaster. Palliative work and. repair is seriously needed to be done on that first niger bridge.

I think that is what our politicians should be doing at least to neutralize the effort of the normal Anambra businessmen, not to be packing and using Anambra money to development other states.
you people should stop living in denial and live your truth it's 2020 baybee!
Mumu why not read direct from porn hub annual statistics and show me where Nigeria 3rd most watch porn video is gay? Only foolish gay people will believe all these gay propagating bloggers, Joro is one of them. LizBathory: 95% of Nigerian man are either gay or bisexual... If you don't believe, ask porn hub why the 3rd must viewed porn in Naija is gay porn

That joro is one of those gay blogging propagandist, post gay fabricating stories just to make gay relevant to the mind of his followers. Am not insinuating that shit like this doesn't happen, but when it happened expose the persons involved so that people will attack them or law will took its place
agadez007: TVC Owned by Tinubu is now general Igbo, guy you don't have truth in your mouth at all you might be igala but you can't force thousands of Olumbanasa who agree they are Igbos to be igala with you,pls
TVC is own by Tinubu yes, but the media coverage is for enlightenment to the government and Anambra state general. TVC broadcast all over Nigeria, so it's just a medium of dispersal of their condition, bad situation targeting the state government (Anambra), so using Igala language will bring alot of hindrances because large concentrate of Anambra state government don't understood Igala.
agadez007: Watch the YouTube documentary of Inoma akator town below,a so-called igala speaking town and nobody spoke a word of igala in the video save igbo
That is exactly what am explaining, we speak Igbo if we want to talk to general Igbo but when in conversation with our people we use our language Igbo control the state government (Anambra) so when appealing to government for succour should they use Igala? No! So they will use a language that can be easier understood by the government which happens to be Igbo language
agadez007: You are just being economical with the truth,Igbo language is the main language used in all of these areas and never igala language, unless you want to lie
I have never dispute the fact that we don't speak Igbo, yes we do speak Igbo but not our mainstream language, NZAM kind of Igala is our main language while Igbo is auxiliary language same with olumbanasa
agadez007: I belong to many Olumbanasa groups on Facebook Igbedor,Igbokaenyi(what does this name mean in igala),Inoma etc and only about 20% care about Igala,70% prefer to be Igbo while the remaining %s are indifferent 100% of Olumbanasa speaks and understand Igbo while less than 10% speak igala,I am sure when your Family people gather they speak Igbo in their meetings yet you are igala?
Why we speak Igbo is as results of proximal acculturation with neighboring Igbo towns, truth remain that we are bilingual as results of that. But we still retain our mainstream language which is Igala. In our family gathering we do use our Igala language as means of communication, we only use Igbo language on exception of the present of Igbo person in the gathering so that he or she can follow the conversation. We are one indivisible group of people with one common language and there is no sectionalism
Igboid: Yes. The likes of Ayegba Abdullahi had declared that Igbo speaking communities in Igalaland are migrants and squatters in Igala land and should migrate back to Igboland if they are tired of being Igala.
My message remains that until Igalas return or acknowledge those pockets of Igbo speaking communities and their lands in Kogi. There are no Igalas in Anambra but squatters and descendants of Igala invaders in Igboland led by the likes of general Ajida. They would have to assimilate or concede the Igboland they acquired years ago through conquest by conquest too, and return back to Idah.
This is the position of Igbo nationalists on this. And we believe it's fair.
Oga shut up! I have mentioned it here in nairaland for us to be conscious aware of Igala indigenous people of Anambra, of which am one of them. If you read the history of Anambra state it's well stated there, Anambra is not homogeneously Igbo, small portion of it is Igala. Am a bloody Igala boy and a full blooded Anambrarian from NZAM, I be Onitsha boy too because that's where I was groomed. I think I have several times in several occasions enlighten you and Juliusmalema about these but you guys do turned adamant. We aren't foreigners in Anambra, neither are we migrants or slaves, We owned the land. NZAM is just a few minutes drive from Onitsha, but because of river couple with bad road the journey may be delayed, I would have like you to visit NZAM. NZAM is very nice town and peaceful. There are many other towns that speak Igala here in Anambra about 10 towns
Nice move from governor Obiano, the problem of this Onitsha bridge head border violation are large rely on those Onitsha traders living in Asaba, this people do create pandemonium on the bridge. How can you live in another state and work or do business in the other, government policies will surely hunt you down. If it's possible to scrape those Onitsha traders living in Asaba and lock them out and allow normal buyers to come in.
Liliantalks: u are telling me there is an area , what village or area, if u know it why is it so difficult to say
If you don't know, why not use Google map? And stop doubting what you don't know! Ossomala, Akili ogidi, and many other share boundary with their River State brothers. We the upper Niger towns collectively classify them as Ogbaru people, which made up Ogbaru people (Anambra state), Ndoni people (river State) and aboh and their neighboring town (Delta State) because they share very common boundary, similarly in language and culture.
