The trending words in the country now is Shege Banza Pro Max. And for good reason too. The price of virtually everything has gone up. From food... To transportation... To house rent... To school fees... and other basic necessities of life. So, you certainly have reasons to be extremely worried about the present trending shege banza pro max. If so, how can you overcome the present hardship in the country and take adequate care of your family? Here are 13 ways to reduce the effect of the choking shege banza pro max and provide adequately for your family. 1. Sell Your Car People do not usually think of the cost of maintenance when they are buying cars. What they only think of is the class status and prestige that the car will give to them. Then within a few years or even months they find too late that their cars are expensive to maintain. The parts are not only expensive, but the car guzzles fuel like a thirsty giraffe. But, all hope is not lost. If you have a car that is expensive to maintain and guzzles fuel like no man’s business… SELL IT[. And use the money to start a small business for your wife or fiance. 2. Buy A Smaller Car Or Motorcycle After selling your car or if you never had one, you can explore the option of buying a smaller car. When thinking of a car to buy, 2 major things to take into consideration are as follows: i) Ready availability and cost of spare parts ii) The fuel consumption rate of the car per kilometer Additionally, you can either buy a small fuel-efficient car with readily available less-expensive spares for personal use or for doing transportation business. Brands like Toyota Camry, Toyota Sienna or Volkswagen Passat are fuel-efficient with the parts readily available and less expensive. Depending on your financial capability, you may also consider buying a motorcycle to augment your fuel-efficient, easy-to-maintain car or for doing commercial transportation. 3. Avoid taking your car on long distance trips Whenever possible, use public transportation for long distance trips, especially if it is only you that is involved. Or, you may consider picking passengers along the way to augment your cost of fuel. On the other hand... If there are other people that are embarking with you on the journey and you feel it is cheaper to take your car, then by all means take your car. 4. Avoid spending unnecessarily on fuel I believe this point is self-explanatory. But for the sake of clarity, reduce the trips you embark with your car within the locality you reside. Consequently, do all your shopping for your groceries close to your home. You also want to do your laundry with a drycleaner that is nearby your residence. Additionally, you want to patronize a Barbing or beauty salon that is close to your home to reduce your expenses on fuel. 5. Consider alternative source of power Some people have begun converting their fuel generator to gas. I do not think this is wise, due to safety reasons. Therefore, consider other alternative sources of power like solar-powered or wind-powered electricity. 6. Withdraw your children from long distance schools If your children are attending long distance schools and you are currently spending heavily on transportation… Consider withdrawing them and putting them in nearby schools, especially if they are still in primary and secondary school. 7. Send money and foodstuffs to your children Instead of having your children come home every time they run out of money… Get them to open a bank account and send money to their accounts. You can also waybill foodstuffs to them too when they run short of supplies… Thereby saving money that would have been wasted on transportation to and fro your home just to replenish their foodstuffs and collect money from you. 8. Minimize your trips to your home if working long distance If you work in a different place other than your place of residence, minimize your trips home to save cost of transportation. Some people who work long distance come home twice every week. This is not advisable due to the high cost of transportation these days. Therefore, you can consider coming to your family once a week or once in two weeks. Or, you may consider relocating them close to your place of work, if at all possible. 9. Avoid certain expensive foods This may be very difficult for some people to do. But, the current administration of Shege Banza Pro Max leaves us no choice. For instance, the cost of bread has gone up beyond the reach of many people. A large-sized bread now is not less than 1,300 naira in some places. So, a family of 6 (husband, wife and 4 children) who desire to take bread as breakfast… Would need at least 3,000 naira for them to satisfactorily take bread and tea for one meal. The same thing goes for plantain too. 4 seeds in some places is now being sold for 1,000 naira and even more. Therefore, you can consider alternatives like yam in place of bread and plantain. 10. Set up a business for your wife The era of fulltime housewives is gone for good. So, if your wife is not working or into any form of business… Raise money and help her to start a small business to support your monthly income. 11. Do not marry a liability If you are unmarried, do not marry a liability. Ensure you get married to a woman who is working and earning salary or already has a trade she is into. She may either be a tailor or fashion designer or a petty trader. This is because a woman who is not into any form of business in her 20s, 30s or even 40s has been depending on men for money. Women like that are SCARED, PROCRASTINATE and have generally become LAZY. So, getting them to change their mindset and be self-dependent is a herculean task. Take note though that some women’s orientation can be changed, but they are few in number. 12. Get a power bank If you work online on the side or full-time, you will need steady power supply. So, if you reside in an area where there is erratic power supply or none at all... Get a power bank for your laptop and mobile phone to minimize the cost you spend on powering your generator. 13. Think of additional sources of income Multiple sources of income has become a necessity nowadays… Rather than the exception. So, if you have just one source of income at the moment… It is an ERROR. So... Find additional sources of income to augment your present monthly income. That is the FIRST and MOST POWERFUL WAY to beat the present Shege Banza Pro Max. With the high cost of products today, the people who are hardest hit are salary earners. A business man or woman would usually sell his or her products at a higher amount than it was bought. Hence, a business man or woman is not affected greatly by the situation because he or she would always make a profit. So, if you are a salary earner who is dissatisfied with your present monthly income… The sooner you get additional income streams to add to your salary, the better for your family. Therefore... If you are a salary earner or business person... And you desire to discover other sources of income to use to augment your salary or business income... Bottom Line Aside from the above 13 different ways to reduce your expenses and increase your income... You can think of other strategies to deploy to survive this shege banza regime. 2 principles that should guide you in this respect are as follows: 1. If you cannot increase your income, as much as possible, reduce your expenses 2. One income source is very dangerous. Great post. Another important information that women need to know about is how to avoid episiotomy cuts and stitches during delivery. Many women do not know that they should take their diet very seriously and watch what they put in their mouths during pregnancy. Mrs. Nma learned about this the hard way despite being a registered midwife and nurse. She suffered painful episiotomy cuts and stitches during the birth of her first baby. As a result, she went through trauma for many weeks after delivery and could not have sex with her husband for several months. All this could have been avoided if she had paid more attention to her diet. There was ONE other very important thing that she did which facilitated the safe delivery of her second baby without surgery, episiotomy cuts and stitches which could have robbed her of her joy for many months. Find out this ONE THING which she did in the post below. Read her FULL STORY through the link below. Pregnancy Without Tears: Is It Possible To Give Birth Without Pain? If you are above 50 years… You will surely appreciate this story… More than the younger generation. ![]() The date was January 17, 1983. All illegal migrants were asked to leave the country by the Nigerian government. According to Shola Lawal in a report published on the Atavist website under the title: "GHANA MUST GO: The ugly history of Africa’s most famous bag": "Shehu Shagari, the Nigerian leader who favoured long hats, declared the expulsion of an estimated two million undocumented migrants living in the country. Half of them were Ghanaian. 'If they don’t leave, they should be arrested and tried and sent back to their homes. Illegal immigrants, under normal circumstances, should not be given any notice whatsoever,' President Shagari said." Why were the migrants who had been in the country peacefully asked to leave? Well, prior to that time... There was a global economic recession which affected oil prices. And Nigeria was among the worst hit countries due to its overdependence on oil. Consequently, as a result of dwindling revenue from oil and the inability to meet its obligations... The government began looking for who to blame for the country's economic woes. It was election year and they were seeking for re-election. So, they blamed African migrants, especially Ghanaians, for the flailing economy. Thereafter, complaints began against all visitors from neighboring countries. The Ghanaians and other nationals who were living in the country without valid papers. Otherwise known as "illegal migrants". That they were taking jobs from Nigerians. Law offices, shoe repair shops, ice cream parlours, restaurants, cobbling work, painting, bricklaying, and even brothels were all flooded with their neighbours from various parts of Africa. These "illegal migrants" were also accused of charging lower fees for their services. Far cheaper than those of their host competitors in the business. The rumors which started in low whispers at first. Became so loud that sentiments were whipped up against the visitors. According to the report by Sola Lawal: Government officials claimed that "Ghanaians had taken all the jobs and brought crime to Nigeria and, if elected, they would chase them out, they promised." And within days, they were sacked in their large numbers. To carry their possessions with them as they left the country… They needed a bag… So, they went to the market and bought blue and red checked bags to carry their possessions. Bags which has today become a symbol of that mass exodus from the country and inappropriately named... “Ghana-Must-Go”. As at that time they left, the economy was not terrific, but good. All the indices which were pointers to a thriving economy, though declining, were still in the country's favor. Remarkably, at that time, in 1983... The naira (NGN) was exchanging for 29.43 cedi (GHC). That is, 1 naira = 29.43 cedi in 1983 While the dollar was exchanging for 0.724-0.894 That is, 1 dollar = 0.894 naira In other words... 1 dollar was exchanging for less than 1 naira in 1983. On the hand... The economy of Ghana was in shambles. With citizens needing thousands of cedis for just one transaction. But, TODAY, 40 years after… What goes around, they say, has finally come around. The economy of Nigeria today is in shambles. With the country owing billions of dollars in foreign debts. While the economy of Ghana, on the other hand, has taken a turn for the better. With citizens needing just a few cedis… And thousands of naira... For just one transaction. The cedi is now exchanging for 69.33 naira. That is, 1 cedi = 69.33 naira TODAY Just imagine that! What a ridiculous, shameful and disgraceful turnaround! While the dollar is now exchanging for 785.89 naira. That is, 1 dollar = 785.89 naira Black market is exchanging for even far higher than that. Now, just imagine that you bought... 1,000 cedis (that is 33.98 naira) back in 1983, Your 1,000 cedis (33.98 naira)... Would have been 69,330 naira TODAY. And, better still... If you had bought... 1,000 dollars (that is 894 naira) back in 1983, Your 1,000 dollars (894 naira)... Would have been 785,890 naira TODAY. That is almost 800,000 naira... That is over 879% returns on investment. In just 40 years. So, what’s the point of this story? Well… While it is not advisable to save your money in cedis or in dollars. You can at least do something to strengthen the value of your naira. What is that? That is... If you cannot earn in Ghanaian cedis… Then by all means earn in dollars. To help you in this regard... I have put together 3 powerful ways for you to earn in dollar in Nigeria without travelling abroad… So... If you are concerned about the high rate of the ever rising cost of foodstuffs in the market... As well as the increasing cost of transportation, school fees, building materials and other items... And you are looking for a simple way to get paid in dollars... From the comfort of your home in Nigeria… Without travelling abroad. Then check out my free report without delay. Chapter 23, CAGED: The Touching Personal Diary Of A Die-Hard Repentant Prostitute, The 3 Witches, A Wicked Uncle And An Evil Stepmother by Motunrayo Omonoteje Maurice, Sandra & Dorothy After interacting with her for some time, Maurice felt it was time to make his intentions known to Sandra. They had been faithfully going out at least once every week for the past 3 months. During that time, Maurice had come to know a lot about Sandra. And he felt there was nothing more he needed to know before shooting his shot. What he already knew was sufficient enough for him to want to date her. So, he decided to open up to her and see how her reaction would be. As they sat facing each other at his favorite bar in town, “Nobody’s Looking”, he said: “Listen, Sandra. How long have we been seeing each other now?” Sandra looked at him wondering what was going through his mind. This was the first time he was asking this question in their 3 months of going out. She thought about it for a while and answered: “I think about 10 weeks now.” “Yes, that’s right. And I know you must be wondering where all this is headed.” “I have often wondered,” she replied. “But, I have not had the liberty to ponder over it.” It was true that she had often wondered about the purpose of their going out and his intentions. She had even brought up the subject one time when she asked him: “What are we, Maurice? Friends? Partners? Or, dating?” To which he had responded: “Not sure yet.” And she had left it at that. Now that he brought it up on his own, she was glad he did. “Alright, I feel it is time to take our meeting beyond this level.” Maurice paused to look at his drink. Sandra allowed him to take his time. She rested back on the plastic chair, her hands resting on the table as she waited for him to continue. “I have been fascinated by your story.” He carefully marshalled out his thoughts into words. “I have also been interested in you. But, I did not want it to seem that I was taking advantage of you.” She wanted to ask “Why would you think that you are taking advantage of me?” But, she kept mute and waited. At this point, she knew where the conversation was headed. However, she was the kind of woman who waited to hear everything before responding to it. “So, Sandra.” He decided to stop beating about the bush and go straight to the point. “What I am trying to say is: I have fallen in love with you and I would like you to be my girlfriend.” There! He thought in his mind. It was out at last. Now, let’s see how baby girl was going to respond to that. Sandra looked at his fine freckled baby boy face and was hooked. She had been wanting him to say this so much in a long time that she did not know how she had been able to prevent herself from helping him do so. And now that he had finally said it, she was overjoyed that she was almost angry with him. So, she got up and slapped him playfully on the side of the head. “Look at you, innocentee! So, it took you 3 whole months to tell me your mind and how you feel about me. Imagine the cheek, bringing me here religiously every week and picking my brains like someone who was studying for his PHD in the university.” People around the bar looked at them puzzled. If they felt that was all, they were grossly mistaken. Bending slightly, she gave him a full kiss on the lips. More curious eyes turned to look at them from various tables of the bar wondering what was going on. But Sandra could not be bothered. She held him by his right hand and commanded him: “Finish your drink and let’s go home. Let me show you my appreciation and how grateful Sandra can be.” Maurice was temporarily taken aback by her bold and audacious response. But, he could not refuse such a tempting offer. It was time to consummate their relationship and he was visibly excited. So, he did as she commanded and got up. After paying for the drinks, he took her home. A few hours after their vigorous lovemaking, they laid rested in each other’s arms for some minutes. Sandra was happy and satisfied that she finally had what her heart had been longing for all these months. That was how the love relationship between them begun. What initially started as casual friendship had finally metamorphosed into a full-blown relationship. And, before one could say Jack Robinson, Sandra became pregnant. From all indication, it seemed that she was in her ovulation when Maurice popped the big question at the bar that day. He did not know how to react when he became aware of it. On one hand, he was shocked that the pregnancy did not give them any breathing space. On the other hand, he was glad that he was going to become a father at long last. His shock and happiness gradually changed to anxiety and apprehensiveness. Sandra’s pregnancy meant that she was going to have a baby for him. And a baby now meant additional responsibility to take care of. Whereas he was just a poor salary earner at Norture Suites with a take-home of about a hundred thousand naira. That had been part of the reason which made him hesitate to make his move with Sandra these past couple of months. How were they going to cope with that meager amount which he was paid as salary every month? That money was not enough to take care of his own needs and bills, let alone take on additional responsibilities. Sandra, on her part, was neither working nor doing any form of business. So, she would not be able to contribute financially to the upkeep of their household. Besides, she was also coming into the relationship with two grownup children. And by the time she put to bed the child in her womb, they would be 5 persons or even more in their household. How were they going to cope on his meager salary of hundred thousand naira? He was still pondering over this dilemma when something happened. At that time, they were just two weeks into their relationship and a few days before the inauguration of a new government in the country. Aside from his own personal concerns about survival, the situation in the country was not helping matters. Things were so bad that people were losing hope everywhere one turned. Inflation was at an all-time high with prices of goods and commodities skyrocketing beyond the reach of the common man. The political situation too was tense and filled with uncertainties as things took a turn from bad to worse. Insecurity was also a major concern for everyone. People could not move freely in the country without fear of being kidnapped. But, with the elections over, people were hoping that the country would get it right and life would become better for the common man. It was in the midst of all these chaos, uncertainties and confusion when it seemed that there was very little hope left that a beacon of hope arrived for his beloved Sandra. Dorothy, her only biological sister, remembered her and sent her an invitation to come over and join her in Europe. That evening, Sandra was lying down on his three-seater chair relaxing with her Samsung Galaxy phone in her hand. She was watching the BGT, a program which she loved so much, on the phone. As a matter of fact, she loved the program so much that she could watch it all day. Then her phone rang. She looked at it and saw that it was her sister Dorothy that was calling. Sandra picked the call and said into the mouthpiece of the phone: “Hello sister.” “Hi Sandra. How are you doing and how are your children?” Dorothy said boisterously in her ear. “We are all doing fine, sister.” “Listen, Sandra.” Dorothy continued. “I am sending an invitation to you to come over to Europe. I have completed all arrangements and I am paying for everything – visa, passport, flight ticket, everything. All you need to do is simply pack your bags and get on the plane. So, make yourself available. You are expected to be at the Spanish embassy for an interview by Wednesday next week.” “Sister! But why me?” Alerted by the tone of voice, Maurice raised his head to look at her from where he was seated on one of the single chairs adjacent to hers. “Why what?” “I mean there are other people that you can invite over.” And she began naming her other siblings. “There is Michael. There is Victory, Stephen, William, Daniel and even James. So, why me?” “Why you?” Maurice could tell from her voice that she felt pained. “Did I not see all those people before I decided to choose you?” “No! No! No, sister. I am not ready. Please take Michael, Stephen or William. In fact, why not take Victory, your twin? Please, not me. Not now. I am not ready.” Jesus! Maurice stared at her, shocked. His Adams apple rose and he swallowed hard. This was unbelievable. Here was a golden opportunity that many people would gladly give their right hand to get but would never get all their lives. Yet, here was someone who appeared to be in her sane mind rejecting such a juicy and mouth-watering offer. Honestly, if someone had told him that any Nigerian who lived through and survived the last 3 years of the outgoing government would reject such a juicy offer as this one, he would not have believed it. But, here it was happening before his very eyes. Maurice knew how Dorothy must be feeling at that time. He could just picture the look of disbelief and pain on the face of her sister at the other end of the line. It was as if she had done something terribly wrong and she must be asking herself who sent her to even try it. Just look at her thinking that she wanted to render a lifeline to her sister to show her how to fish instead of constantly giving her fish in terms of the peanuts that she was sending them every month. But, no thanks or any words of appreciation and gratitude from the person she was supposedly helping, only complain and rejection. Sandra’s behavior at that point was similar to that of the husband of a woman who went to great lengths to prepare a delicious pot of soup with her own money to impress and satisfy her husband only for the man to come back and tell her that she should not have bothered. It was disheartening and discouraging, to say the least. He could hear Sandra continuing to argue with her sister, giving her a thousand reasons why she could not accept the offer. She went further to make a strong case for James as her preferred choice of all her brothers. If it was possible for someone to kneel down and be seen at the other end of the line, Sandra would have knelt down as she begged and begged and begged.... for Dorothy to take James in her place. Maurice simply continued to watch with keen interest and fascination, his mouth agape where he was seated on the chair, everything he had been doing with his phone forgotten. Eventually tired of arguing with her, Dorothy agreed to take James. “Nor be JUJU be dat?” Maurice remarked as she ended the call. “What?” “Your rejection of your sister’s offer.” “I don’t want to travel now. I want to get married first before embarking on any journey abroad.” “You want to get married first before travelling? And who told you that you cannot…” Sandra held up her hand as she was in the process of making another call. Maurice continued to watch her as she tried and tried to make the call without success. “Who are you calling?” He asked her as he saw that she was visibly disturbed and upset. “I am trying to get my brother James.” (c) 2023 Motunrayo Omonoteje All rights reserved worldwide To be continued @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Curious to find out how the story ended?
