Walahi, We need to bombard Saraki's website with calls for him to lead the motion for GEj's impeachment.
Not only GEJ INCLUDING HIS VP. We are not going to hand over the Presidency to Sambo on a platter of Gold.

Even MEND sef, no say their guy dey mess up, by impeaching both the President and VP, Hausa/Fulani man would not be President but an allie to the South-South region, a Middlebelter and a good friend of Joboy would be a safe hand to stir this country until 2015.
Politics › Senate Should Impeached President & VP by KnowAll(op): 9:47am On Jan 22, 2012
They were voted in together, if the President is slacking, the VP should be pulling the strings in the north in order save the regime, because if his boss goes down, he also goes down. By impeaching both of them there is no gain, no pain, the middle ground has prevailed. In this instance it would be gain for David Mark.

I am sure 90% of Nigerians would support this solution. Because it looks like this regime are already acting like a lame duck, ready to sit it out until 2015 while the country is burning and the death toll rising. So we await the long knives from the Senate and House of Representatives. lipsrsealed

Politics › My Friend Where Is Anini? by KnowAll(op): 9:34am On Jan 22, 2012
Press Men: Mr President what do you think of the terrible atrocities committed by Anini in Bendel State, is the government hapless and confused as to how to tackle this daredevil armed robber. He seem to be invisible, everywhere and at the same time nowhere? undecided

The President turning to the then IGP who stood to the right of the President

President: My Friend tell them,  where is Anini?

IGP: We are working on it, we would get him soon.

That is how a boss should put his subordinate in the eye of the storm, let them carry the burden,  blame, frustration and ineptness rather than the C-in-C

Within 3 days of this open but serious banter at the state house, Anini was caught and detained?

So a question Jonathan should be asking HAFIZ is why is our Police men removing their uniforms the moment they hear 'Boko Haram', Hafiz should come out and tell us the Police and not up to the task and he should resign honorably, what is the point doing a job you cannot solve the puzzles. The President should put his Security chiefs in the eye of the storm, let them face the press and be grilled by the press for their ineptitude. cool

NB: I am not overtly a fan of IBB but he handled the Anini saga brilliantly

It would be a shame if Bauchi and specifically Tafawa Balewa LG is attacked when the President declare a state of emergency in those areas. A state of Emergency to my own recollection or perception,  is when the major arteries and roads are blocked, that is every 200 meters would  be manned by fully Armed soldiers checking any suspicious vechile, if that is not in place then the President's declaration is an empty declaration!! huh

Let sleeping dogs lie. Whatever bad news coming from Bayelsa State is the handiwork of Jonathan(looks like Mr Goodluck's hand is not filled at the moment with Boko Haram and Oil Subsidy), he should have allowed SYLVIA have a second term. At least all the Governors in the South-South prevailed on the President on behalf of SYLVIA but he would not bulge.
Politics › Re: State Commissioner Of Police Should Be Elected? by KnowAll(op): 3:59pm On Jan 21, 2012
@OP

Federal, State and County Police Chiefs are not elected in USA. Besides, I guess the assumed premise of your thread is baseless. The only law enforcement position elected in USA is County Sheriff or City commissioner of police.

USA, the act of policing is very local. The federal government does not control state or county police. However, the federal government has the power to investigate the excesses of all police departments in the country.
That even makes it better, we can go one step above the US by electing our state Police. We don't have to copy the US OR UK Policy by Policy(wen we no be follow-follow), We can create our own variance which would work for us. Already we are giving our 'Lack of Security Conscious' Governors a lot of money as security vote every month, that money can be used to conduct a quick snap election whereby the best man with the best policy emerges through selling his/her self to the citizenry of the state.
Politics › Some Pertinent Questions To States Under Boko Haram Invasion! by KnowAll(op): 3:38pm On Jan 21, 2012
Some Pertinent QUESTIONS

1. Why is the Governor of Borno State, Yobe State and other hot spots of Boko Haramic activities still drawing allowances from the centre. Surely there can be no meaningful development in such places except of course shearing of money and if thorougly investigated and that money is followed through to its logical end, I would not be surprised if it became clear that some of the money actually oils the wheel of progress of the Boko Haram forces. So indirectly the FG whether we like it or not is sponsoring Boko Haram by paying this idle, jobless, and inept Governors who are sitting down and just shearing money that is not democracy, that is more like pampering a prodigal son.  cool

2. Can the good citizens of NL imagine the calibre of officers drawing salaries, wages and other emoluments from the state Goverment for doing virtually nothing, all those like 800 special advisers, special assitants and personal assistants. undecided

3. What of the Security votes for these State, I hope the Federal authorities have stop given those idle Governors free money,  after all the brave men of our armed forces, immigration, customs and the police force are the ones feeling the brunt of all the anguish and inferno of Boko Haram. I happen to be close to the British Army and all soldiers back from 'the theatre' gets a mandatory non taxable £5,000.00 distress allowances for going to Afghanistan that is besides their salaries. The Security Vote of these states should given to the men and women doing a good job for Nigeria in those States. It would not only motivate them, it would energise their dedication to the job.

4. What of those free loaders in the State House of Assmbly, I personally cannot see any meaningful law that can be passed in a war zone, all those folks should be sent home until the security situtation gets better. cool

5. Same thing the LG Chairmen. cool

ALL Those lining up for the post of the IGP come from the same corrupt conveyer belt of dis-honesty, brigands and cut-throats, I am not enthusiastic of any of the next 10 or 20 in line, they are all irredeemable. Maybe it is high time for the post of IGP to be Civilianized, I wrote an article see below about electing our 'state police bosses', I think the IGP too should follow that trend in tandem.

But I am not the man collecting the money or am I ? how can I remove anything from my eye when I am not collecting the money

Of course that has to do with the state government which is part of the entire corrupt government of Nigeria even to the local ones.

I don't care if he from zamfara or even from akwa ibom, corruption is corruption anywhere anytime
You are an alarmist, why are saying the son has a private jet then, that fallacious statement alone is enough to raise many eye-brows even among well known band of political theives, it is like upping the ante when in actual fact,  it is a non-story, a sensational jargon to make people's blood boil.

so Madueke's son is a celebrity for him to be renting jets ?

na wa oo.

1 question

How much does  it cost to rent the jet abroad ?

my guess is about 10,000-20,000 dollars per hours
Your initial statement instigating the good people of NL that the kid has a private jet is a fallacious statement thereby making any other facts or rebuttal in your statement redundant. In a court of law once a blatant fallacious statement is detected with intent of distorting the fact of the case, the whole statement in its entirety would be disregarded and be classified as hear-say that can not be substantiated.

You are trying to be sensational about a news that is really not a news, Nigeria’s high and mighty have always being known to over-indulge themselves one does not need to look further than our ex President General Babangida’s son, who hired an American Hip Hop rapper for a cool $1 million dollar when he got married some years ago.

No one is suggestion the kid has a private jet, it would be dis-ingenious for the kid to have one especially wit the blacklash and all that, the parents won't want that. For your information abroad most celebreties hire private jet as suppose to owning one outright.  huh

Politics › Re: Vp Sambo Had Close Ties To Alleged Boko Haram Sponsor. by KnowAll(m): 10:33am On Jan 18, 2012
The fact that the VP has a relationship with a power broker and a gun runner who has significant muscle in his state does not necessary mean the VP is a sponsorer of Boko Haram. Example ‘Lamidi Adedibu’ the Ibadan strong man had every Governor in Oyo State in his pocket, if for instance Adedibu now Graduates from being a 'Godfather' to being a Yoruba Nationalist thereby killing all non Yoruba’s in Oyo State, would you or any sensible person revisit the sins of Adedibu to that of his Godson who has now being made the VP of the nation.

That is how I see Sambo's dilemma, that man run things in Kaduna and can easily go with wind at any direction with or without his protégée’s consent. huh cool
Politics › Re: Prof Jega Rebuffs President Jonathan Over Bayelsa Governorship Candidate by KnowAll(m): 10:03am On Jan 18, 2012
In Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, a individual may eventually attain a stage where Self actualization becomes more important than wealth. When your name becomes more valuable than material things.

I think Prof Jega values his integrity more than material things. A very respectable gentleman.
I would not look at it like that. I think JEGA after presiding over a $500 million dollar elections in the General election a few quiff of dollars here and there from Mr President would not inspire a man who is already a multi millionaire 10 times over, one or two odd million dollars greek gift would be un-inspiring, and insulting to a man who has finally resolved to do his job properly and damned the consequence.

A time comes in a man's life where money would never be the motivation but equity, justice and truth, I think JEGA has gotten to that threshold. cool

All SWesterners should serve in the SW States, all SEasterner should serve in SE States, All NEasterners should serve in NE States and so on and so forth. That way the Corpers can still be useful to the FG in times of elections and the Corpers themselves would be comfortable with the environment they are serving, that is they would understand the local lingo and traditions making them a useful member of the society they serve.
Politics › Why Can't 1 + 1 Be 2 In Nigeria? by KnowAll(op): 1:32pm On Jan 14, 2012
You have a tomato farm, you harvest your tomato, process them and put them in cans, what would be the end product - Tomato juices.

You have an Orange farm, you harvest your oranges, process them and put them in packs, what would be the end product - Orange Juice

You have a Pine-apple farm, you harvest your Pine-Apples, process them and store them in packs, what would be the end product - Pine Apple Juice

Now think of of it, you have oil ooze-sing out of the ground without much ado, you tap it storing it in a tank, you now transfer it through the pipe-lines to a refinery which can be anywhere, in Nigeria's case Kaduna, Warri and Port Harcourt. Personally I don't mind that geographic spread of the locations of the refinery but Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Abia and Imo State should have numerous smaller refineries producing fuel, diesel and kerosene since the raw materials required are within the vicinity and locality of these states thereby given all these small refineries a very good comparative advantage and value for money when compared to the one refined in Kaduna.

Now the big question is why do we like complicating things, how did the word 'subsidy' manage to creep into our vocabulary, when the operation of turning crude oil into PMS, Diesel and Kerosene should be one activity that should be as natural as breathing in air. Have we ever wondered why Gaddaffi's Libya and Chavez's Venezuela are selling oil for next to nothing. huh
