Politics › Re: Occupy Nigeria: Updates From Across The Nation by KnowAll(m): 11:37am On Jan 03, 2012
Oil Subsidy, the fact is “we are subsidising West-Africa Nations”, not only Nigeria, people should see through these sentiments. If we are planning not now, probably in the future, to have economic integration with ‘WA Nations’ we have to be selling our Petroleum Products, goods, and services at competitive rates, that is at the same rate across board otherwise we would be doomed as a nation like Greece.

Subsidising every country from Benin Republic in our immediate West of Nigeria, to Mauritania in the far North West of West Africa is a suicidal pact with the devil which we should shy and run away from no matter the hardship.

Monkey dey work baboon dey chop!!! undecided huh

Nice time to enter the Transport Business. How Much is Lagos - Ibadan, Lagos - Ilorin and Lagos to Abuja, Lagos to Benin , thinking of bringing some nice buses from Germany to run those routes at least one's income when converted to Dollar would march doing business abroad.
Politics › Round 1- Removal Of Subsidy Round 2- Tackling Huge Allowances Of Legislator by KnowAll(op): 10:41pm On Jan 02, 2012
The fuel subsidy would cost the nation according to the Presidency,  the CBN Governor and the Finance Minister about N1.3 Trillion Naira or $8 Billion dollars a year, while this is true(or assumed to be true) and a good riddance to a bad rubbish that would impact severely on the down and trodden in our society, we must not lose sight of the other N1.3 Trillion Naira consumed by our Legislators, both Federal and State this largess to a few in our society should also be BANISHED and withdrawn it is just UN-sustainable. undecided huh

Henceforth, Anyone who wants to be a Federal Legislature would be given a N3 million Naira Sitting Allowances Annually and not a penny more or less while State Legislators would get N2 Million, I am sure many of the 1000's of UN-employed graduates roaming our streets aimlessly and direction-less would gladly fall over each other for this paltry sum.

Have we ever thought why private enterprise in Nigeria are not doing well or booming, well the truth is many people currently sitting in those houses wallowing away their time should be in private practise or be entrepreneurs and the real legislators who really love his people, lives amongst his people who would  fight for the down and trodden in his/her society invariably lifting the lot of all Nigerians from every nook and corner from that of abject misery to that of hope can climb the rostrum and rule the roost.

So Mr President thanks for round 1, what is good for the gender is also good for the goose, we the silent majority are in-patiently awaiting Round 2, WHICH should be a 'Presidential Fiat' bringing senses to the un-reasonable and un-realistic allowances enjoyed by less than 0.009% of the population,  1. cool
Politics › Re: Text Of Gej's Address To The Nation- Imposes State Of Emergency In Some Lgas by KnowAll(m): 10:33pm On Dec 31, 2011
Does that mean those LGA would not have a local government chairman, and the military would appoint a Major,  Colonel or even a Police Officer to man that post for the time been .That would invariably mean the Military officer in charge of the LG would be tasked to spending the funds allocated to the LG as the DE-facto caretaker chairman. If that is the case that would be good news as the Salary of the Chairman of the LG and his Councillor would be saved and used directly for the people.

But if it was a case that the LG Chairmen and his Councillors are still on ground managing the resources of the LG then what is this 'State OF Emergency all about then" how is the situation now diffrent from what obtained b4, or is Mr President just window-dressing a problem by calling it a different name. I need a clear and concise explanation of what this state of emergency means by those in the know

What the hell is South-South, even on d 8 or even 16 cardinal points there is nothing like South-South, I guess it is all about oil politics.

Another one I would suggest we start using from next year is North-North for Core-North which has already started gaining ground on her own merit as it were.

The Queen of England’s husband is often referred to the ‘Prince Consort’
Politics › Re: We Have Work To Do - Cities With Higher Gdp Than Nigeria by KnowAll(m): 6:02pm On Dec 29, 2011
I can guarantee that out of Nigeria's $341 billion dollar, Lagos State alone Constitute and contributes  about $150 billion to that GDP Figure, leaving the rest of Nigeria to share $190 billion. If we are to look at it like that then one can take solace from the emerging strength of Lagos State vis a vis other metropolitan cities.

Lagos in the last 10 years of democracy has gained ground against most of the other cities and with investment like Eko Atlantic City,  Lekki free Trade Zone and the Lagos Metro-line coming on stream, Lagos will definitely catch some if not overtake some of the cities listed above. So it is not all doom and gloom, Lagos is definitely punching above her weight despite the shabbiness and lack of of direction of the government at the centre.

So Beaf the lack of lustre of your principle is a bigger deterant to progress than anything else. Buhari has given your principle some pointers that needs to be adhered to if we are to make any head way and want to stay afloat without going burst, I just hope your principle would be man enough to effect those changes.

Let everybody come out run , David Mark, Fashola , Donald Duke , Rochas and even Buhari and whoever wins carries d day wether Christain or southerner. These Bombers are actually spoiling Buhari's inpeccable character making him unelectable.
Politics › Jonathan Should Just Run For His 2nd Term? Boko Haram Should Not Coward Him by KnowAll(op): 2:05pm On Dec 25, 2011
Nigerians are already used to these bombing, in fact the bombings rather than achieve the desired effect,  it has become an irritant that so many Nigerians are beginning to get use to those loud irritable knock out noise that unfortunately ends up destroying a few properties here and there and taken a few lives. The perpetrators of this dastardly act have chosen to fight under the cloak of anonymity which is cowardly enough at best,  and a much needed wake up call to our 'beer guzzling' armed forces who for the very first time of their careers have to work for the money they earn. If anything these crisis has made our armed forces more clued on when it comes to counter-insurgency, so big thanks to 'Boko Haram'.

If GEJ fails to run for the second term it would mean he has been beaten into submission and coward away from his democratic right after all Presidents that lost elections in other climes are actually ruling by the sword,(DRC Congo comes to mind) he that has the bigger sword or as the case maybe in Nigeria, he who has the bigger gun should not shy away from a fight, especially a fight in which ones natural and constitutional rights are being infringed, whoever controls the guns in the land rules the roost, what you would have from time to time are irritants with their scare mongering tatics, after all more Nigerians die on our bad roads than boko haram has killed since GEJ's second term started.  huh

A friend once told me our population is even too much, from time to time countries or civilisation needs culling for adequate and effective population control, a few rag heads in Maiduguri, Damaturu or any other area in the North despatched off in quick succession would not make 99.99% of us lose any sleep. If Ciroma and his crew want to play rough as they have shown their hands already, well the good news to them is, it takes two to tango, GEJ should stick the knife in  by declaring his Candidacy for 2015 elections and let them do their worse. That way those in disagreement can jump ship and those of us on this side of the divide would know ourselves, there is no point dinning with wolves in sheep skin, the earlier all is out in the open the better.

But Mr President if you are going to run in 2015, be prepared and promise to step down if the people do not vote for you, that way you would know you lost the elections not be because you were coward away by some few oligarch's in the North but because you did not deliver all you promised back in 2011.

So Mr President, 'Please go on sohun' which simply means take the plunge and damn the consequences. cool

Politics › Re: Zambia Targets Nigerians For Indiscriminate Deportation by KnowAll(m): 1:14pm On Dec 24, 2011
When you are in a foreign country especially African ones, play politics subtly, if it was GEJ too he woulddo the same thing, if some Ghananian or Togolese are playing bi- partisan politics openly, when and if GEJ wins he would send those people packing.

Same thing here, obviously Nigerians are comfortable with the old proven adage that incumbent does not lose elections hence why they threw their hats behind the former president, I am sure a lot of Nigerians can learn from this. cool
Christianity Etc › Re: What If That Girl Sue Oyedepo? by KnowAll(op): 1:43pm On Dec 23, 2011
n., pl., acts of God.
A manifestation especially of a violent or destructive natural force, such as a lightning strike or earthquake, that is beyond human power to cause, prevent, or control.

In the law of contracts, an act of God may be interpreted as an implied defence under the rule of impossibility or impracticability. If so, the promise is discharged because of unforeseen occurrences, which were unavoidable and would result in insurmountable delay, expense, or other material breach.

The Slap was an “Act of God” I came about this conclusion after reading the intricacies, intrigueness and the banality if not the vagueness or the ambiguity of this ‘ACT’.

My conclusion- it was an ‘ AOG’ If the good people, both ladies and gentlemen on this forum watched that video again, you would notice what the lady said after she was slapped was even worse than what she said before she was slapped.

The first slap was an involuntary action that can only be attested or pilloried down as an ‘AOG’, after the man of God regained his, consciouness, composure from the what I call a retrun from the spiritual realm, despite the annoying and blasphemous disposition of the lady, the man of God exercised inflamed and uncontrollable restrain and should be commended rather than persecuted.

I think there lies our answer to this difficult question? cool

a message of "two loving couples that are enjoying Cintron drinks" that is if that is really what they meant to depict with the picture. They are not looking corsetted together in anyway, there was no lovey-doveying closeness to it. They only painted a picture of two decent adults enjoying their drinks yet keeping their distance.

Politics › Re: Gov. Chime Sues Newspaper For False Accusation by KnowAll(m): 10:15am On Dec 22, 2011
I think the Wife's Sister's baby should go for a paternity test( DNA Test) in an independent and neutral Lab. Determining who the 'rightful' or as the case may be the 'wrongful' parent is not rocket science. If the Gov wants N2.5 Billion then he should agree to a no holds bar independent paternity Test.

Any Court ruling that does not tow this line of action or adjudge that ‘a test’ must be determined or carried out as a ‘prima facia’ evidence, is a Court ruling not ready to unravel the truth, dispel the rumour or as the case may be comfirm the slanderous nature of the libel.

Awarding such a huge and gigantic reward to the Governor without exhausting the obvious lines of probity would be a sham Judgment to say the least.

The Governor’s pronunciation (insisting that he is not the father of the child) should not be taken as the Unclad truth, it should be probed and rightfully so,  examined according to basic common scientific tenets, any ruling other than the aforementioned would be a Kangaroo ruling and a joke if not a slap on the integrity of the Judiciary

Even Christian Abia State cannot stand the avaricious and amorous attitude of love peddlers in Umochia how much more Ga-y Parades and her other unpalatable investiture all displaying their wares on their street for the undiscerning minds.

ABIA State Government has ordered that LovePeddlers be chased away from the streets of Umuahia, the capital city.

Particularly, the government frowned on the situation where LovePeddlers loiter around Abia Tower, the main entrance to the state capital.

Worried by the activities of the women of easy virtue, the government, at its last Executive Council meeting, discussed the issue and decided that the women be chased away from the street, saying they were denting the image of the state.

At a briefing in Umuahia, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Don Ubani, said the government was not happy with the activities of the LovePeddlers, hence the decision to order them off the streets.

Abia government also frowned at the illegal parking of vehicles, especially trailers, around the Abia Tower.

Ubani said: “Government decided that these ladies of easy virtue that loiter around the Abia Tower should be chased away from that vicinity by law enforcement agents in liaison with the Commissioner for Physical and Urban Renewal.

“The illegal parking of vehicles, especially trailers, around the Abia Tower is unacceptable and condemnable.”
