those rusty roofs are a classic worthy of celeberating, it is only in Nigeria we do not appreciate the old, go to rome, athens, jerusalam, and Cairo and see how the old and new juxtapose in a seamless beautiful sequence.

Where is the mass hysteria from a man trying to detonate a bomb, only to end up burning his Cores? He has already plead guilty to all the charges.

Your case has no merit.

A lopsided judicial system doesn't equate in this instance.
It does apply, because America has a long and chequred history of mass hysteria as you can read below from the Japanese-American internment experince of 1942.

Japanese-American internment was the relocation and internment by the United States government in 1942 of approximately 110,000 Japanese Americans and Japanese who lived along the Pacific coast of the United States to camps called "War Relocation Camps," in the wake of Imperial Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.[1][2] The internment of Japanese Americans was applied unequally throughout the United States. Japanese Americans who lived on the West Coast of the United States were all interned, while in Hawaii, where more than 150,000 Japanese Americans composed over one-third of the territory's population, 1,200[3] to 1,800 Japanese Americans were interned.[4] Of those interned, 62% were American citizens.[5][6]

President Franklin D. Roosevelt authorized the internment with Executive Order 9066, issued February 19, 1942, which allowed local military commanders to designate "military areas" as "exclusion zones," from which "any or all persons may be excluded." This power was used to declare that all people of Japanese ancestry were excluded from the entire Pacific coast, including all of California and most of Oregon and Washington, except for those in internment camps.[7] In 1944, the Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the exclusion orders,[8] while noting that the provisions that singled out people of Japanese ancestry were a separate issue outside the scope of the proceedings.[9] The United States Census Bureau assisted the internment efforts by providing confidential neighborhood information on Japanese Americans. The Bureau's role was denied for decades, but was finally proven in 2007.[10][11]

In 1988, Congress passed and President Ronald Reagan signed legislation which apologized for the internment on behalf of the U.S. government. The legislation said that government actions were based on "race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership".[12] The U.S. government eventually disbursed more than $1.6 billion in reparations to Japanese Americans who had been interned and their heirs

@Knowall

If i follow your arguments closely, are you implying that the young man's admission of guilt to all charges is enough to make a case for insanity?  Or are you implying that a good twisting of the ear is necessary in this case given that "the guy only plans to kill someone" but "hasn't necessarily killed someone"?

From what I have read so far, he's being charged with some of the graviest allegations, one of which includes an attempt to wage war on against the United States of America.  The fact that he hasn't succeeded in this attempt does not make him any less culpable for the crime. Under US laws, the motive, plan, and action is all that's needed to lock this young man away for ever,  .

If a man attempts to rob a bank and was caught in the process, you wouldn't really advocate that a good twisting of the ear should be enough after all he hasn't really robbed the bank, would you?
that is your answer there,

this is a case of institutionalised witch-hunt buoyed by a public baying for blood, this has always been the loopsidedness of the American Judicial system. If this boy is put in a cage and a fee charged the same clueless Americans would pay to have a view, if this is not a circus then tell me what a circus is? undecided

There are a lot of sentimentality and emotionalist issues at stake here(let us not forget 3,000 Americans died during 9/11), if we are to look at this case on the hard graft facts of what transpired on that plane and not some spurious conjured scared evidence, fictions and delusions then it suffices us to say one would be able to say with all degree of certainty that this is a case of institutionalised witch-hunt buoyed by a public baying for blood, this has always been the lopsidedness of the American Judicial system.

Mass hysteria and lynch mob sentimentality has always been the bane of the America judicial system from time immemorial. Many moons ago the lackadaisical American immigration system deported some American-Somalians for being illegal immigrants and barely some months ago a young black girl was deported to Columbia for being an illegal alien, only for her to return back to the States many months after once they realise their calamitous deportation with an unwanted pregnancy.

What this young man should get is a good twisting of the ear, put back on a plane and send back to his Boko Haramic roots rather than them holding him on like a circus animal.

Some people might be appalled by this suggestion, but the fact still remains this unlawful combatant wants to die in battle(I am guessing he would team up with the Boko Haramics when back in Nigeria) and I trust our unruly forces in Nigeria, with a few fist full of dollars that boy would be a goner b4 one say Jackie Stone.

13-Year-Old Black American Girl Mistakenly Deported To Colombia For Two Years And Is Now Pregnant (Video)

________________________________________
In 2010, at age 13, African-American teen, Jakadrien Turner, who was born in America, was mistakenly deported to Colombia, by U.S. immigration agents, due to a stolen identification she used, after running away from home. Her parents had divorced and her grandfather died, leaving Turner traumatized.

Her grandmother, Lorene Turner, who has been searching for her the entire time stated, “God just kept leading me. I wake up in the middle of the night and do whatever God told me to do, and I found her.” Turner has been found working in Colombia, cleaning houses for the past two years and is now pregnant.

The U.S. government has stated they will immediately investigate the matter, as verification of her fingerprints were not done before she was erroneously deported to Colombia, where she currently sits in a detention center

Yes, I agree with you but the dork went to go and say by his actions and admission of guilt to all charges that I don't care what you do with me- I am capable of taking it!
Then we are dealing with a mentally deranged man here. Is like a man who stole a loaf of bread asking for the death penalty, and insisting that is the only punishment satisfiable to him. What would any sane judge do in such a case, presumably section him into a mental hospital and throw the key away I suppose!!1 undecided huh

Looks like ever since the Dimka coup in which Gowon’s name was mentioned as a co-backer of the coup, his(Gowon’s) demeanour has been like those of a coward, always sucking up to the Hausa-Fulani probably for fear that the dirt of Dimka could be un-earthed against him.

Look at what is happening in Jos, Gowon has never altered a single word against the marauding Hausa/Fulani who want to impose their religion on the Beroms.

This is a lesson for all those Politicians who just love to acquire everything for themselves and their families. At the last count Tinubu owns probably 2/3 of all the prime lands in Lagos, he has a posh Hotel and his wife, niece, nephew are all in comfortable positions in both in the State and at the Federal Level. Has his perchance to acquire stop him from falling sick, if he dies today(God Forbid) would he take all these his worldly booty and possession to heaven or hell depending on his faith and conduct whilst on Earth, the answer is capital NO.

That is why it is good to give back to where you have taken from, six world class hospital in a City like Lagos would not and should not be seen as too much, London,  a City smaller than Lagos in Population has more than 20 top Hospitals the size of Luth and each of these Hospitals employs nothing more than 3,000 people, you do the maths, that multitude of people in gainful employment would suck the huge horde of unemployment we have in Lagos. But Tinubu and his cohorts would prefer to commandeer all the prime lands in Lekki, Ikoyi and Banana Island for himself and his band of glut tonic rogues than give back to the land.

A lesson for the ones coming after Tinubu, Messers  Fashola, Aregbesola,  Ajimobi, Fayemi, Amosun, Oshimolue and others not mentioned please take note, power is transient and it is very important you people give back to the land.  cool

And I hope this scare would make Tinubu a better man, he would realise that our lives are like smoke, one minute we are here, the next we are no more here.

@
dede, you are probably one of those igbos who have never visited home for the past 20 years. If indeed you actually visited Imo state last christmas as you claimed in one of your posts, you wouldn't have posted that trash you posted  above. I was in owerri, orlu and some other parts of imo last December and must confess that Rochas has the best intention for imo state. There is road construction revolution going on in the state now with almost all the state and federal roads undergoing  dualisation. Moreover, urban planning strides such as relocation of auto mechanics, artisans, motor parks, markets, etc to designated areas are underway with adequate infrastructures being  provided to them.
Most of the people displaced as a result of the demolition exercise, i learnt, where assigned free housing facilities pending when they want to resettle. His style of leadership is akin to that obtainable in most advanced nations of the world. May the good Lord bless him and grant him long life so that he will be able to complete the good work he has started. Amen
.

Ya, the demolition project got my attention. Houses built on roadways are being cleared to expand the roads. The housing plan is finally being used. No past administration has had the guts/decency to do that.

Clean, well swept roads. Even smooth roads are being recoated to prevent the former layer weakening. That is MAINTENANCE CULTURE. Not waiting till there are bumps .The water problem being worked on. With the way the taps are flowing, I think it's goodbye to water scarcity.

I pray God gives him the strength and stamina to maintain it all. He is really working in Imo state
Rochas to me seem to be hitting the right notes as per developmental stride in Nigeria. He is going about it like a scientist, dissect the problem, know the problem and solve the problem. Although I am not from Imo State and I am not even an Igbo man, but if what some of you people are saying here is really true, then this gentleman,  Rocha’s deserve commendation irrespective of ones tribe and by his actions he is really raising the bar of Governance in Nigeria.

All other 35 Governors should take note, especially Boko Hamaric Northern Governors whose performance over the years having being bordering on mediocrity and wholesome nepotism.(we can still remember the one year old who was drawing pay in Zamfara State and the Security Guard that took home N6 Million every month)

Even Lagos State Governor Fashola is not exempted from this slight because of his perchance for over inflating small contracts and that loud mouth, Akwa Ibom Governor who spends more of his state money on oiling and greasing Press men’s ego than any other Governor.

I just hope this is not another propaganda machine to raise the profile of Rocha’s, but if true kudos’s to him.

THE BEAUTY OF CONSENSUS: ACN's 260,405 votes + CPC's 107,564 votes = 367,969 votes :::: PDP's 302,986 votes.
Don't be surprise when there is a consensus on ground you would see PDP polling 380,000+ to the consensus vote of ACN/CPC of 367969 still given PDP the edge. It is a no win situation, if the PDP is determined to win the election they would win it, come what may, if you like combine 100 parties votes together they would still edge it scientifically.

The game plan of the PDP is not to lose any of their stronghold in the north and the same time keep hold of their stronghold in the South-South Zone, that would give them serious leverage to bargain with.
