even if u don't steal a kobo d pension and severence payout Governors get is very genorous so why steal then ![]() |
Stop praying; you can be that man. Saddle up and be the miracle that you wish for.99.99% OF D PEOPLE on this forum screaming blue murder, would behave like the Odili's and Ibori's that is why there is only one comment on a topic that touches the moral fabric of our society. What we should endeavour to acheive is to make one state out d 36 states have such a selfless man who is ready to serve his state whole-heartedly. |
When I was growing up, a neighbour of ours became a commissioner in Ogun State, the gentleman took the task like a regimented sergeant-major and performed his duties to the best of his abilities. Before he became a commissioner in onanbanjo's cabinet in 1979, he was using a Mercedes Benz 230 regular shape, when he finished his assignment he came back to Ibadan and continued using the same old car until his death. Not a penny less not a penny more.(he was brutally ransacked and jerked up by the Idiagbon/Buhari Junta but they realise the guy came out of government poorer than when he went in, so they let him go). I was opportune to ask him about his service to his state, and he said categorically that he took the duty as a national service, which he did with all his might holding on to the mantra that the fear of God was the beginning of wisdom. I asked him did he ever come across bribery whilst discharging his duty, he said many times, but declined such entreaties and warned the initiators that if it ever happens again he would call the cops on them, even the 10% percenters he declined vehemently. I looked at this gentleman and said to him, u are a rare dying breed in present day Nigeria, insisting that he his one of the last remaining sincere dinosaur of esteem virtue left in this country, he said well I am sure your generation would have men and women whose virtue and uprightness would be more outstanding than his, men and women who will put community service first b4 any self aggrandizement. That man's story made me think is it possible to have a Governor who would be selfless to self, and sincere and faithful to his state in present day Nigeria. A man who would probably work away from the job after 8 years of service to the state poorer than when he got the job. I believe if a Governor spends all money accrued to a state judiciously and wisely that state would not only be Eldorado but it would be a cynosure of honesty, truthfulness and sincerity. I pray such a man come in my life time, is it possible in present day Nigeria folks? Considering the wide spread corruption that has become part of our mainstay, does that kind of individual exist? What are your take in this subject ladies and gentlemen? ![]() |
Jonathan and PDP should have allowed Ben Bruce to be the Governor. At least that one get sense small. Unlike all those olodo's(humpty-dumpty) that have been in power in Bayelsa State? |
Na sure say no be Goverment Agents start dat fire. e don tey wey Fashola dey eye that waterside land. Can u imagine poor folks inhabiting a nice water-side land, it is only in Nigeria that can happen. Any City in the world Water-side lands are normally gold dust. ![]() |
You see those trailers carrying containers in the top picture. Can u imagine a trailer entrying a pot hole with all that load, thereby making the whole payload tilt over in-coming vechiles, that is what happened to my Uncle's car. The Goverment of Jonathan and Sambo are directly responsible for his un-timely death. |
This road killed my Uncle and I hold Jonathan, Sambo and their wives responsible for his untimely death!!!!!!!!11 What is d quality of all the jobs u believe Jonathan is doing. Is it not a case that they annouced one thing in a press confrence and do another. How come d said roads u said Jonathan is fixing is still a death trap. Even federal roads in Lagos, Nigeria's commercial heart-beat roads leading to critical facilities like d ports are left to rot. |
Nigerian Electricity at this point in time is both erratic and annoying? You will see light on one street and no light on d other street for 24 hours. Whilst some people are satisfied and happy others will be causing them with venom. That is d stage of our development at this point in time. Hopefully by the end of this year there would be significant improvement from where we are today. |
Do you read @ all? It was tested and it gave a positive result. How many people did they test it on. You cannot test it on one person and say it works, you must test it on at least 100 people to be sure it really works. if 80% gets cured then u know u have got a potent herb on your hands but if not then it is back to d drawing board. |
It is not rocket science to determine wether the blooody thing works. Just test it on someone with HIV and the rest would be history! haba!!! ![]() |
Ibadan City is too big for electricity to cover everywhere at this present time. Felele area is as bad as your area, yet Oluyole Estate which is less than 3 miles away has wonderful light according to respondents on the other thread. ![]() In Oluyole Estate,Ibadan Oyo state...Wonderful so far! |
The Government of Jonathan Goodluck has blood in their hands, And the Ghost of my Uncle would hunt them down in Aso Rock. Amen MR POSTER, What is d quality of all the jobs u believe Jonathan is doing. Is it not a case that they annouced one thing in a press confrence and do another. How come d said roads u said Jonathan is fixing is still a death trap. Even federal roads in Lagos, Nigeria's commercial heart-beat roads leading to critical facilities like d ports are left to rot. Do u know my uncle died last year in Lagos when a container behind a lorry dropped on top of his car, he was trapped for 4 hours on the Oshodi-Apapa expressway. Who killed my uncle indirectly, no other person than Mr. President who could not fix a very critical road like that. Shame on this goverment |
If it is verified or determined that Oshomolie's has not got a valid educational certificate, but it has been proven that ACN won, won't that translate to or mean that power will now be going to d Deputy Governor since after all Oshomole and his Deputy ran on the same ticket. Or is it a case of invalid educational certificate automatically nullifies the election entirely. If that were to be d case, it would appear that the judicial process is more or less throwing d baby and bath away in the face of clear and obvious evidence that Oshomolie and ACN won d election since PDP as a Party and d Major in particular are not disputing the election but the educational certificate presented by the Governor. This is a very tricky one that would set a precedence. ![]() |
Only a f00l who is paid to sing the praises of an inept an corrupt leader while attacking real and perceived leader will refuse to read. Asking to ßξ spoon-fed like a pre-mature and deformed baby.A man behind an army jeep in a military uniform is a turn off to a lot of people. Tell us what a mordern Buhari in 'agbada' is prepared to do to turn things around in today's Nigeria. I am for Buhari, but all these 1980's pictures and propaganda would not hold water. ![]() |
since when is the governors wife the 1st lady, last i check Good luck's wife is the 1st lady1st lady of d state. Na wah oh, na everything person suppose explain to somepeople? ![]() |
@General Buhari You have turned a thread that would have surgically look into Jonathan's regime constructively into a Buhari propaganda machinery which is a turn off to a lot of people. I know u must earn your daily bread from d General, but "e be like say u don put sand-sand inside garri". |
he could'nt have invested $15 billion dollars directly. How much is the total allocation in 8 years or maybe he means he lobbied Direct Investment and Foreign Direct Investment to the tune of $15 billion dollars investment into d state, that would make sense. ![]() |
I saw a comment on U-tube once, probably written by a white guy, and it went as thus the " richest black man in the world-Nigerian" and the " richest Black woman in the world-Nigerian" Don't u guys think Nigeria is the country to be if u want to move on in life. ![]() With a population of 160 million people, an American friend of mine once to told me, can't u look for an item that u will sell to your people and make a profit of only 0.50 cent, do u know what that interpretes to!!! ![]() |
Behind every rumour their is some truth though ![]() |

The Bottom-line is most of those LG Officials in many states were hand-picked by either d Governor, his wife and his cronies. In d absence of any of these officials getting d post through d ballot box(that is as an elected official), such officials hand-picked can be summarily fired by their principal as d case will be. ![]() The principal in this case might be d Governor, his Wife or any of the numerous cronies and that would even include girl-friends and concubines of the Governor. So when someone offers u a job without an official letter spelling out your duties, know that job is a work-in-progress, that can be withdrawn, cancelled or discontinued at d wimp and avarice of the benefactor. ![]() |
good analysis. |
The keke you see in Akwa Ibom do not also run major routesHow many routes dey Uyo Township, Abeg make we hear word jare! ![]() |
Are you trying to say there are no Keke napeps in lagosThey are there but not visible or at your face. U see them parked at Iyana Ipaja they would run u into Agege Township, or in Ajegunle and so many other slums of Lagos. You won't see them competing with U on Ikorodu Road, Third mani-land bridge or in and other major arteries of Lagos. |
bolded: the person you quouted said N130 billion in 13 fold, meaning N130 x 13. Dangote's $12 billion worth . will translate to N1.8 trillion, which can finance Lagos state budget for 4 solid years...Please compare Dangote with FG and not statesBut have u forgotten that team Tinunbu/Fashola has been in power for 13 years and still counting, in another 8 years time, Team Tinunbu/Fashola/New Governor of Lagos State would be richer than Dangote, considering they would have been in control of the 5th largest economy in Africa for 21 years. |
It still baffles me why you will compare me Aliko Dangote who is has decided to single handedly invest $2 billion (i.e. N300 billion) in a fertilizer plant in Edo state starting from this year to our small 'thiefy' politiciansSorry Oga Dangote, nobody is comparing u, in fact I am your biggest fan on Nairaland! ![]() |
[Dayokanu] If Mimiko had Lagos money and also has Lagos Population and peculiar Lagos problems like Ocean surge. Mimiko would run mad in one week
oh boy, this one na hand oh!! |
Obj is the richest man in nigeria……under his tenure fuel price went sky high. before he assumed power in 1999, fuel price was between 21/24naira. plus the 13billion dollars he stole(all in the name of steady electricity/power) and many more.……………Dangote is said to be the richest, only because his money is legitimate.………………Do you know that Orji uzor kalu(former governor of abia state, chairman of Pan africa, C.E.O of Slok oil and Slok airline) might be richer than dangote.abeg, forget Kalu, has he not gone back to his 419 business. People like that would be dead broke in about 10 years time if dey no see any egunje. |
Mr poster, we can work with your £4million pounds if u really have it. My people can do wonders for u. Get in touch with me on aolugbeniga@gmail.com |
What has Mimiko really done with the money he is getting. Ondo State gets some derivatives too. ![]() |
his brother, Jideand sister, May Orji, were said to have embarked on a trip to London earlier last week to ascertain the actual situation with their brother governor. Chime get brother wey be Jide? ![]() |
I believe Tinunbu and his motley crew would sooner rather than later superede Dangote. They are in power perpetually in the 5th largest Economy in Africa. It is a matter of time, probably in about 20 years time, they would be a force to be reckon with. Do u people know " Ajo" that thing Yoruba market women do, when everybody puts money in a pot and someone takes all home at the end of the month, that is how Tinunbu network works, but in the case of the network d money is used to push their own agenda for the SW and Lagos. |
