The best thing that can happen in d merger is for all interested person's for d post of d presidency should be allowed to throw their hats in d ring for a free and fair open election done within the full view of all party members. Whoever wins or has d highest votes carries d day. That would be a great start, for this coalition. |
Delta State alone should be able to build it. They are an oil producing state collecting 13% derivatives , instead of them wasting money on that silly airport, they should have built a second Niger bridge and put a toll on it. They would have recouped the money spent back in less than 3 years if they are dedicated to d project, |
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ If d road is that good how come an in -coming truck is seen driving against d traffic as captioned above, (see picture above, obviously there is something not right ). |
mm |
Have anyone of u seen BRT buses lately, they are not any different from those danfos. With serious dent all over and bellowing smoke like some old truck, it is an eyesore to behold. So even if we buy these lovely looking buses they will end up looking like danfos. The problem is d nigerian factor, an MOT system will erradicate most of these buses on our road. |
collecting donations 4 d presidential library is not a mistake, in fact i think it is a masterstroke decision. nobody wants to know yesterday's man once u are out office. Any wonder why El-rufai is writing a book, it is becos he is yesterday's minister, nobody reckons with him and that is why he has become a mad dog howling in d dark seeking 4 attention. |
The VP should have gone for d OIC meeting. ![]() |
There is an alternative route. The claimant must recognise that. Goverment has to re-coup what they have spent on d bridge. What I am against is Tinubu's company collecting d toll, which is what is likely going to happen. I am for recouping money spent back, but then d state's in many instances are poor levy or toll collectors, d money tend to disappear in all that red-tape wahala in d ministry. |
All the Governors have skeletons, beam a search light on Rivers State's accounts holistically and forensically and watch how all d mighty will fall. I am sure neither Amechi nor Lamido would want a search light focus on all their activities. Amechi stands to lose if a war of attrition brews between him and d Presidency. Him been an Ikwerre man, and his deputy being ijawish tribe, it would be in the interest of d Presidency to impeached Amechi for wrong doings knowing his deputy would dance to d tune of Aso Rock, just like in Bayelsa. The case against Amechi has to be 'prima facia'(because he is a popular Governor in his state) and I am sure such a case can easily be found and established not with d gluttonic nature and tendencies of our Governors, I doubt if any investigator would have to dig deep to find a throve heap of evidence against Amechi. ![]() |
we have made 600 billion dollars since 1999, Angola is spending their petrol dollars wisely while we are busy allowing less than 1%°of d population fleece us. Nigeria of d 1980's is a distant memory looks more like an illusion in today's world. Can u imagine a secondary school teacher buying a ticket to london with his/her salary. That is Eldarado. |
You have gotten your answer, the Ibos say they won't vote for him so the merger can't risk having someone who wouldn't be able to deliver his zone. Shikena. The fact is the Igbo's on this forum know this is speculative talk without substance, and it might never happen hence why they are down-playing it, a bird in hand is worth 2 in d bush. I have a feeling the Igbo's would rather dance to Jonathan's tune than follow an illusion. But if it happens, It is then Jonathan will know that he is a minority in d East. At d moment it is a speculation and secondly, what has APGA got to deliver, Imo and Anambra state(Anambra State is even effy, Obi is too close to Jonathan) to Buhari's probably winning 18 out of d 19 states in d North and Tinunbu's 5 in d SW. So most Igbos are careful of falling for a no brainer, while would the mega party give her 'biggest price' to a minority party, when they can give it to a majority partner. So the mundane criticism witnessed on this forum of Okorocha's pedigree is lukewarm enough, one can tell, but if the shit hits d fan and Okorocha is picked, Igbo's would jump ship and follow him. I think it is a long shot for Okorocha to emerge as a candidate but then never say never.!!! ![]() |
where are d pictures of d fugitive? |
Okorocha has hit d ground running as a Governor, i think that kind of person with mr no nonesense Ribadu would be a fantastic combination. Another plus for Okorocha is he grew up in Jos, i take it he can speak hausa, another unspoken and unwritten prerequiste for d top job 4 a southerner. OBJ was a good hausa speaker too. |
Would that be a mastroke against Jonathan? Okorocha/ Ribadu as candidates. Looks like el- rufai's big mouth has made Ribadu d darling yet again, El-Rufai would have been a much better candidate thus! ![]() So ladies & Gentlmen what are your take on this? Buhari might be d stumbling block though ![]() |
What of labour party? |
Strong institutions is what is needed. The Nigerian Army's elevation and promotion exercise can run herself without any interference from any quarters if we can only get d relevant institution and framework right. This is a no brainer, gather our intellectuals (professors in d various Uni) together and let them formulate a workable clear and consise framework which would be comprehensible to everyone. That way all these hullaballoo about one COAS favouring his kins men would be history. What we have at d moment is a tinder box of explosion. What happens if we have a Northern COAS, would that individual now embark on mass sacking, retirement and sidelinning of d promoted igbo officers, how would these officers take it? is that not recipee for disaster? Strong institutions and not strong men is what is needed. Let us push for d right thing ladies and gentlemen. |
state creation is good if d new state have a focus and progressive governor at d helms of her affair. Today Akwa Ibom state that came out of cross river is more developed than cross river herself. without d creation, d area today known as AkwaIbom would have been a glorified village in Cross River State. State creation definately brings development to d grass root. |
Igbo's have suddenly become proactively involved with anything Jonathan, na wah oh, is it becos the president maintained iherijeka as cheif of army staff. ![]() |
You have just regurgitated the same sentiments the sardunna opined in his 1964 interview with the BBC whwereby he was laying bare the rationalisation behind his "Northernisation" policy. The "I-before-others" mindset of our eastern brothers make it difficult for them to see anything wrong in them going to another man's region and taking over all the civil service posts for that region. The late S.L.Akintola repeated the same thing in his campaign speech of the same year or thereabout.U will have to agree the Igbo's are like the indians and jews when they get a foothold in a place they begin to colonize, multiply and infest the place like cockroaches, is it a good thing? well it has its advantages and disadvantages. Because the host communities many atimes suddenly become hostile to the encroaching maurauders. I have seen indians in my work place hireling other indians disregarding black and even white(indigenious) people in d UK, the igbo's tend to have such traits, whether it is commendable is subject to debate. ![]() |
Once assigned to choose one between the devil or d deep blue sea, Nigerians of all raminifications are duty bound to make a choice. In as much as Fashola is not a saint, common-sense dictates once one failure has been tried, tested and detected. It only makes sense to try d other 'perceived failure', but not trying at all is not the natural sequence of how the human mind works, our God given thinking and instinct has proven that times without number, why are some people hell bent on supporting Goodluck Jonathan, can't they see he has ran out of Goodluck, he is acting only on pure luck now, confronted with this established fact should one remain docile in d face of overt incompetence ?, We all make these choices in our every day life when making decisions that affects our loved ones, we always seek second opinion, how come seeking second opinion when it comes to politics becomes an ardious throe for some of us, that choice of choosing an alternative is difficult to ingest by some of us that I don't get it. ![]() |
When is the recruitment for hangers on coming up, me wan apply oooooo.ol boy e no cheap oh, u think say na for free dem Otedola and Dangote take dey travel with Mr Preisdent, anyways since u won know d price, form na $50,000.00 to start with. |
some of our leaders need to go test d onditions of our mosquitoe infested prisons. At least when they steal, they would be reminded that they might end-up there, so d thought of ending there will make them improve conditions in such places. ![]() |
This our president "no go party when he small", doe hes know what "fencing" means. OL BOY if I am d president i will fence most of this people but then d people could have paid for travelling with d president, so as to later have a one on one with him when he is winding down in d evening. I have seen it happen when a Governor visited London recently. People paid for a gala night and later met the Governor on a one on one basis later. |
Pathetic bigotry. No brain matter went into your post at all. Just another hollow fart across cyberspaceI don't mean any harm to any Igbo, u can go through all my post, as I bash Fashola so would i bash uduaghan or ANY igbo who behaves in an unglorified manner. So I am a no holds bar person, nobody pays my bill, so my allegience is to nobody, when i see injustice I shout. To think that in d year 2013, we as a nation ARE stilL revisting similar dark episodes of 1966 is a shame. What i called for is all appointments in d army should be looked at critically and holistically with d sole aim of RE-dressing ANY imbalance. But on a personal note i know what my old man went through when he was working for an igbo dominated oil company, he was fustrated, that is 1st hand information, to see it displayed publicly like this only confirmed my fears even though one should not draw an inference over d limited number of cases observed!! ![]() |
It is refreshing to know that despite d comprehenisble failure of this Goverment at the federal level, "Ode Chuckwu" as some of our learned friend has labelled Jonathan still enjoys a relative considerable support. Can these supporters not feel the pains, agony and anger many Nigerian's are feeling OR is it just about blindly supporting my tribe's man, wheather he is performing or not I cannot fathom why any human born of a woman would want another 4 years of this abysmal failure, a goverment floating at the whims of d wind, a clueless goverment, do we really like suffering and smiling , I don't get. Do u people know that "Winston Churchill" the hero of the Battle of Britain lost d elections of 1946, despite his huge pedigree. ![]() My people wake-up and smell d coffee. This Goverment are a spontaeneious Goverment, they act on the whim, no wonder why Jo-boy had to visit Police College Ikeja once the story broke, as if he was not aware of the rot he is enmeshed in, I think Nigerian's have a right to make a choice by voting d other way come 2015. This goverment has failed to deliver. |
The Igbo's generally have a penchance for discrimation and nepotism, it is in their DNA, any wonder why this story should be looked at critically. We all read about the Immigration Igbo boss, how she undermined her boss when she began a camapign of calumny and imbalance recruitment exercise within the Immigration dept. She went as far as recruiting not only igbo's in disproportinate numbers but when as far as recruiting a whole hoard of disdainful characters from her ward, if this despicable atitude is not overwhealming evidence of the Igbo man's psyche , what can be further from the thruth. ![]() |
Richest in west africa? Pls where did u get that from. what ve u done for Delta? Let me come down . What ve u done for ur community, family or most importantly ur life?Another delirious sycophant scrapping for crumbs from the master's table. This convoluted mental slavery that many of your kinsmen have been subjected to starting from the time of Chief-thief-in- Command "James Ibori" is beyond redemption. Continue wallowing in your ignorance, the world is moving on whilst your master's are busy warming jail benches abroad. The day of reckoning will definately catch-up with Uduaghan. ![]() |
Delta State is one of the richest state in west africa, if it were a country in WA, It would be within the top 10 biggest in terms of money accrued to her vis-a-vis her popluation. But what u have in that state is a quagmire of deceipt, day-light robbery and ovewhealming imporvirisation of her citzenry. If there is one state where a coup should be staged, it will be no other state than the 'big heart state' the state and her institytions has all failed, it is a pariah enclave where wanton kleptocracy is allowed to fester incongrously. Shame on this inept medical doctor-cuuuum Governor, we saw how a fellow Governor(in one of d ACN State) who has only been in power for one year and seven months, plan, build, and commission a fly-over in no time yet this Foooool-in-power who is wallowing in his own ineptness and self-aggrandizement to d detriment of sycophants who will hail him to d high heavens for the crumbs that they can grasp from their master's table continue to live in a fool's paradise. Deltans Please wake up, these deliriouness must be put to an end. ![]() |
https://www.nairaland.com/263284/work-begins-10-lane-lagos-badagry-highway#3749488 MR FASHOLA WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FINISH THIS WORK- Lately the said road was classified as a federal road, that it has nothing to do with your goverment. But the thread above, whch was a promtional propaganda in favour of your goverment paints a different story So who is in-charge of Lagos-Badagry expressway? ![]() |
Nigeria cannot have strong institutions, because Nigeria is a dream of the whiteman.Don't let ethnicity underlinings cover your views and thinking. The word "Strong Institutions" is another word for natural precedence. It happens everyday in every facet of our lives, in our family,in schools, in the Universities so why is it difficult to implement in State and Federal levels. The only reasonable answer to that question is the poignant disregard for rules and regulations by those in power starting from Mr Cluless Jonathan Goodluck, the earlier these coward in office follow laid down rules d better it would be for Nigerians in General. |
Kudo's to the Governor, can someone remind me how long this man has been on d saddle. If I am not mistaken it should be less than 3 years, for him to conceive, build and commission this fly-over within the short time he has been in office is commendable if anything else, he surely started quick well of the block, don't relent in your effort Mr Governor. Shame on all those year 7 Governors who cannot point to one single project in all that time. (I will not mention names, they know themselves) ![]() |
I will like to add my unbridled wisdom to this sensitive topic. When President Obama said we need strong institution in Africa not strong men(in this case our dear 'COAS') Obama was dead right. The blatant and brazen nepotism displayed by the current chief of army staff is amazing, obviously one should not look at this ugly incidence in isolation without following the preedence of our past leaders whom mostly(happen to be illetrate Northerners) who also indulge in this putrid favourotism to the detriment of all. Once a well educated Igbo was appointed one thought for a second that the Nigerian Army would experience a renaicance, with the necessary instititions taken precedence and a total departure from the old archeic ways and method of the Northern Officers, but to our costernation it would appear the Igbo 'COAS' is on a self immolation mission of vengeance, anger and subtle arrogance(obviously bolstered BY the backing of a clueless C-IN-C who in his ineptitude ignorance has re-assured and supported this injustice). Well it would be incomprehenisible for a 3rd or 4th born in a family setting to call a family meeting informing all asunder they would like to take over OR assume the position of that of the 1st born henceforth, Have we ever asked our selves, "why such would never happen"? well the answer is even as little and disorganised as the family unit may appear, there is an unspoken and unwritten precedence on how things are done and compromises reached, how much more the army where rules and regulations is the bane. Each officer have a class, each officer sit exams yearly both theorectical and practical, each officer have a date of birth, they can never be all equals even if they joined-in the same year, there would always be something to make ONE man fit the bill than the next man, I believe an institution like the army should adhere to this order of proceedings without distorting natural order of events from what is at worst transparent enough into something that could spell doom and disaster not only for the Army but for the whole country. If the instituions dictates that the next 5 COAS is going to be a Yoruba man, so let it be, the rule book should be opened even if the President wants it another way, that is the only way the army can keep her integrity. So Mr 'COAS' let the Institutions prevail !!!!! ![]() |
