all these people talking about cow business, first of all, you need to be in full control of your security apparati in your domain before you begin to dream of such. cow business is a fulani means of survival, i do not think they are interested in doing competition with anybody in that aspect. considering how those guys move about with AK47, how long before they steal into your farm and spray groundnut on all of your cows? then there is the pletoria of cow deseases we know next to nothing about e.g foot and moutyh, mad cow, etc. inshort, we know next to nothing about rearing cows. we may yet be able to do the business aspect of it but we will still need to employ the fulani to rear the cows in our proposed farms at least, until we are up to speed.

i have also learnt that the fulani can speak "cow language" and the cow will understand them.

@OP, thanks for this beautiful thought of yours. I actually wanted to do this yesterday, but I was let down by my emotions. I watched a documentary of Nigeria's independence and how our forefathers fought for it as if their lives depended on it. I listened to Pa Awolowo, Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, and Dr Nnamdi Azikwe. They were quite awesome to listen to. You could feel their passions, their dedications, their visions, and their patriotism from their speech. They had one common goal and in spite of their outward differences, they had that elusive UNITY OF PURPOSE. I encouraged all of us to search for some of those pre-independence footage to get a glimpse.

To be candid, I always laugh whenever I hear or read about the fact that we are forced together. Nobody forced us together, if Lord Lugard didn't do it, one way or the other, the force of nature would have brought us together even without firing a single bullet. A child does not choose the circumstance of his/her birth. There are some countries that could be termed "accidents of nature" just like ours, viz: United States of America, Australia, Liberia et al. Their circumstances of birth were not palatable, but they have moved on beyond that and none of them is dwelling any longer on their dark beginnings. The earlier we realise this the better.

Just like you, in the early 80's, I remember my good friends Godwin and Victor of Igbo tribe and Muttalib of Hausa. We were very fond of each other then because all our parents are friends. Nobody bothered about religion or tribe. Even the Christians among us would tell their parents not to cook pork because of some Muslims among us and the parents would oblige. Such was the love among us in those days. As it is now, if perchance all of us have the chance to come together once again, I'm not sure such love would ever exist among us. That is the consequence of bad politicking by our politicians. They have succeeded in turning all of us to pawns to further their own interests.

Are we not even thinking at all? The politicians will use us as foot soldiers whenever they are not pleased with the establishment and immediately they get what they want, the narrative changes. Imagine some of them that were shouting about "salary jamboree" before the election, do you hear from them again? I don't blame them, I can only blame a poor fellow who has been conditioned to hate another poor fellow like himself due to circumstances of his birth.

If at all Yoruba economy is better than the Igbo economy why are it's people worse hit by the dwindling crude oil prices

If Yoruba economy was in any way superior to Igbo economy Ekiti State will not deem it wise to send its citizens to Aba in Abia State for vocational training, to equip them to be able to create wealth for themselves and improve the economy of the State just like Eastern region.

If Yoruba economy was superior to that of Igbos why is hunger ravaging its people to the extent that concerned individuals from other parts of Nigeria had to come to their rescue, donating cash and food to ensure that they survive the economic crunch occasioned by low crude oil revenue?

And through all this period there was no cause for alarm amongst the Igbos in Igboland. Not even in Abia State where the civil servants were being owed their salaries, courtesy of the State's strong informal sector unlike Osun State where the phantom internally generated revenue (IGR) was a lie of fabricated figures

T.A Orji of Abia State was labelled as the worst governor in the last dispensation by Igbos on NL and even in the outside world. Nobody criticized TA Orji and his failure in Abia than Igbos. Of what good is the big size of Oyo State when Ebonyi State is more developed than it? For the myopic Yorubas with poor geography of a place they call their 'country' the smallest State in size in Igbo land is about 3 times the size of Lagos State.

Yorubas accuse Igbos of being too smart in business and therefore should not be trusted. The implication is that they unconsciously accept the Igbos as having superior IQ and business sense.

And when credible institutions publish the results of their studies showing Igbos as chart-toppers Yorubas begin to search for straws to hold onto to fault the research. You wonder why they become so rattled and agitated at such results.
Business is all about smartness and no dullard or book-theory person can do better in a business than a person with native intelligence. 

Mental superiority makes you want to find your own space. 
Mentally dull people hate radical changes and want to just keep doing the same thing.

There is a correlation between Igbo achievements and 21 billion dollars remittances back into Nigerian economy on yearly basis as evidenced by statistics from Western Union. A less backward or less enterprising group of treasury looters cannot achieve such feat.

The Igbo youths are born into a society where they always have to think fast else they will be like Yorubas who live on free handouts from Abuja. Igbos always try as much as possible to excel in their various pursuits in life. Little wonder you see many Igbos competing on the world-stage.

Without government connections and patronage, Wale Tinubu, Jimoh Ibrahim, Femi Otedola, Mike Adenuga etc. of Yoruba tribe will be nowhere today, and that's why every now and then you would hear them being linked with one financial crime or the other.

Nigeria economy assumed a downward trend when the Yorubas and their Northern co-travellers acquired all Nigerian companies by virtue of indigenization decree of 1972. But they could not manage the companies instead they ruined, defrauded, liquidated, bankrupted and destroyed all the companies - that was the mother of destruction of Nigerian economy! The swindlers indeed bastardized the Nigerian economy. 
And to divert attention from their ineptitude and crass looting of the treasury Yorubas would use illogical reasoning to attempt to bamboozle other people while pointing accusing fingers elsewhere!

After more than 40 years, despite the stolen wealth, the Yoruba land cannot be said to be transformed and be one of the enviest in the world. None of their cities could be likened to, say the least, Johannesburg!

Inspite of the tortuous journey the Igbo man passed/passes through to achieve success the criminal system in place and the Yoruba gang will not allow the Igbo man be. Yorubas are bitter and angry at the success of the Igbos, that they use any given opportunity at their disposal to remind Igbos that they are the ones who accommodated them and therefore they should abide by their dictates, whims and caprices, including being coerced to vote the candidate of the host's choice in election.

With all the disadvantages Igbos faced and still face after the 1967-70 they rose from grass to grace and Yorubas are not even ashamed to compare Igbos with treasury looters. 

There is no law on this earth that prohibits free movement of people and participation in government. It takes a man of courage to venture into an unknown terrain and conquer it. The Chinese are doing it. The British, Portuguese, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese etc. did it. If the great Roman Empire hadn't ventured no one would have known they were great. Today many American businesses are located offshores in China, Saudi Arabia, Tokyo, United Arab Emirate and they are still venturing out to conquer unknown terrains.

For you to be great you have to venture out of your comfort zone. This is the true character of the ever industrious and peace-loving Great Igbo Nation. As of today it would be an understatement to aver that Igbos control 50% of the economy of Lagos and its environs. You see, it pays to venture out instead of lazing around touting and disturbing the peace of the society.

Are they not being accommodated in the South East without any noise from Igbos?
How many Yorubas have houses in the SE? Are they not living in a house built by another man who collects rents and did not beat his chest of accommodating Yorubas?

Do you expect an Igbo man that bought land in Lagos for N300 million per plot not to exercise his right as a landlord?
How many Yorubas dare cough out only N20 million to buy a plot in choice areas of Enugu, Owerri, Awka, Nnewi, Orlu, Afigbo or Aba in SE? Is anybody holding them?
Don't you see sales advert on the internet for such lands?
And you still shout the loudest 'One Nigeria' for your political convenience!

When has it become noise-making or crime for someone to even aspire to be chairman in a market they have the majority?

When has it become a crime for lawful taxpayers and citizens to exercise their franchise rights?
Should any citizen be threatened to vote anointed candidates?
When has aspiring to be voted for by non-indigene become a crime in a sane country?

If your people have the sizeable number in any area in the SE, what prevents you from aspiring for a post to better the lots of the people?

Many mischievous fellows hold the view that Igbos should be grateful for being allowed to live in their part of the country, even when the oil revenue from the South-East Zone is being channelled for Lagos development!

You say Igbos disrespect their host when Igbos chose to quietly exercise their franchise right in Lagos. And you don't seem to see any wrong in Oba Rilwane Akiolu threatening Igbos to vote for his anointed candidate! And Dr Ariyo in the US went further by calling for xenophobic attack on Igbos.

The main reason many people of all tribes in Nigeria troop to Lagos State and its environs is simply by virtue of it being a former federal capital territory. So don't single out Igbos and term it that they are being accommodated. That's is an insult on  the sensibilities of a people who have contributed in no small way to the mega-status of Lagos State. 
It is absolutely wrong to even hold the view that Igbos or any other should be grateful for being allowed to live in any part of the country, Biafra or no Biafra.

If other people were not needed in Lagos such embargo should have been placed ab initio, about a century ago, before the heavy investment of crude oil revenue and the vast contributions of every other Nigerian, including their sweats and bloods, and not now as it's being mischievously mumbled in some quarters.

Is there any group that has exhibited more 'Nigerianness' than the Igbos who permeate every nook and cranny of Nigeria, peacefully building and establishing business empires, and growing the economy of the locals and that of the country at large?

And you don't seem to see anything wrong in castigating the ever peace-loving Igbo people. Have you ever heard anywhere, were Igbos are on rampage and causing mayhem to their 'host' for no just cause? 

For some decades now certain people have propagated lies that Igbos don't have crude oil. That Igbos are greedy and want to corner South-South oil wealth. That Ondo State produces more crude oil that the whole South East. And to heighten the insult, they say Igbos bring virtually nothing to the Federal revenue!

They say Igbos are land-grabbers. In the past Yorubas were busy building empires, looking for weaker groups to acquire. The Fulanis colonized the Hausas. The Binis terrorised some parts of Yoruba and Anioma land, and tried to conquer and use them as slaves.

But these same people still turn around to accuse Igbos, who have no such history of expansionist tendencies, of land grabbing and seeking to dominate others.
And over the years, Yorubas and their Northern co-travellers have propagated lies and falsehoods portraying Igbos who never had an army or empire as land grabbers.

Do you see anything wrong at all when these wicked lies are being fashioned against Igbos for years?

It's only mischievous fellows in the society that turn blind eye to the evil and injustice, and permit the atrocities to flourish in the land because they gain from the lopsided arrangement in the polity.

My man, this is a very, very long epistle to that yoruba FOOL. Igbos have superior arguments against the yorubas and the hausa/fulani when it comes to the Nigerian question period. For as long as they are not willing to restructure the country towards true federalism, resource control and the rest of it, any argument with or about the Igbos from most especially the yorubas is null and void. This superior argument will wear them down and eventually destroy them, or else they do the needful. ...push the Igbos out of their nature period. This superior argument and their helplessness to confront it, is at the heart of all the malice the country is confronted with. ..from bokoharam, fulani herdsmen slaughtering unhindered, corruption, poverty, underdevelopment, backwardness, tribalism, bad governance etc. Every time they complain about the Igbos, but cannot truely summon the balls to evict the Igbos from their region, since that will be the permanent solution to the Igbo question in their lives.

The Yorubas have charms for everything, including love portions, pregnancy inducers, barrenness inhibitors, cures for ogbanje, protection from gun wounds and poisonings. Despite their heavy groundings in the underworld Yorubas cannot equal the Igbos in capitalization, wealth, bravery, influence, or physical attractiveness. Yoruba charms are a cover-up for cannibalism, a subterfuge for wickedness of the most primitive category . So, what do their stupid charms do for them ? They rob Igbo stores in Lagos, organize riots to provide opportunities to ransack Igbo stalls, sell body parts to Igbo traders eager to amass billions of Naira they leave behind at death for the Yoruba witch doctors.

This is a long story!. Yorubas are hateful because, they hate themselves when they look in the mirror. They hate that God created them ugly, charcoal black, short and unattractive race who will go at any length to still or lure beautiful women from other African tribes simple.

Three things I think are the main reason while Igboland is witnessing unprecedented development.

1. Boko Haram in North have really help to fuel development in Igboland though it still have the negative side.


2. Nnamdi Kanu of Radio Biafra has really instill to much panic in people, many think Nigeria is crumbling today or tomorrow.


3. Igbophobia and anti-Igbo sentiments being propagated in social media is really shaping how Igbos are seeing Nigeria. Igbos are the most bashed group in social media, now some people have started withdrawing their numerous engagements with other tribes because you don't know who is habouring evil for you.

Yes, there are very many ethnic groups in
Nigeria. But isn't it sheer ignorance to think
that this is a peculiar Nigerian condition?
In the United States of America, there
aren’t just different ethnic groups, there
are many races that call America home;
their fatherland. In Great Britain, there are
numerous people who are as different in
their dialects as they are in their
dispositions to life. Hardly (not to say
"never" ) will you find a country in the
world where the entire population is
absolutely homogenous.


Yes, we didn’t agree to come together; we
were practically forced to. Do we think
when different tribes were settling on and
around the British Isles many centuries
ago, it was a tea party? Were we told that
the Hiberians, Celts, Romans, Jutes, Saxons
and other tribes that originally settled
down in what is today called England were
grinning at one another when they each
arrived? Or that when disgruntled
Europeans were going to displace the Red
Indians from the New World (now called
America), it was with warm embraces and
in the spirit of consent?


Our problem is not that we are different;
our problem is that we have decided to
refuse to rise above our differences. Our
problem is that we have chosen to live in
an “us versus them” consciousness which
consistently pitches us against others. So,
what if, instead of looking at the man next
door as an Igbo, a “kaffir” (the evils we do
with words, though!), you see him as a
human being first and foremost, and as a
fellow Nigerian?
Now, this is why breaking Nigeria up is a
very silly idea, really: it will never solve our
problem. Did I already say our difference
is not our problem? Okay, let’s assume that
we break up and (as it's always been
bandied around) the Yoruba, Igbo and
Hausa have their respective countries. Let
me show you what will happen: suddenly,
the Yoruba man will no longer see himself
as a Yoruba man but as an Ijebu or Ekiti or
Ijesa or Ondo man first. And there will be
strife, still. Because there will still be power
tussle based on which part of Yoruba land
you come from. Because we’ll still see
“them” and not "us". Much the same will
happen in the other new countries, I’m
certain.


So, when next you are about to preach the
gospel of secession, why not pause for a
while and ask yourself some questions–
the ones you’ve always avoided
answering?: Why do we continue to blame
the failure of an entire nation on a century-
old single action? Why have we refused to
be responsible; to identify a problem as
ours and seek to solve it? Why are we so
divisive? Why do we see our countrymen
as “them”, rather than as an extension of
us? Why do we close our eyes to the many
beautiful things we have in common (chief
of which is our humanity) and decide to
see and magnify only the few, little
differences? Why are we like this?

"My God". Hmmmm, with the way yoruba brain or logic works, I am now more than ever convinced that most yoruba brains can never engage in critical and analytical thinking. The reasons are obvious. Their confusing religious inclinations...switching from Islam to Christianity to animism and back. Value system gets blurred and overlap, impacting negatively on their overall cognitive interpretation of a more clearer and definitive value system. Thus, yoruba nature becomes non transformational, non evolutionary, non progressive, anti transformational and etc. Cos, competing value systems over load their ability to critically analyse issues within a define value system. There is no constitution of "we the people", but a constitution of "we the forced or roped together people" (it takes critical and analytical mind to discern this oo). Nigeria is made up of some 300 ethnic groups lumped together in a disfunctional and unworkable entity due to competing value systems, and a yoruba brain cannot discern that?. At the same time, you can lump 600 ethnic groups together with some thing close to a similar value systems and their existence wouldn't have been as tragic as ours. @Odumboni, on those your why, why, why questions, I ask why a fellow country man will like to have everything for his tribe?, sea port, Eko atlantic, lekki free trade zone, all because he thinks that tribe and region come first before the country. Yoruba mind is very deceitful period. The Executive, Judiciary and the Legislature in Nigeria functions based on the individuals that occupy those spaces. They don't give a flip about the secular constitution we operate. If their value system tells them to implement sharia, that's what they will do without caring about "we the people of". I can go on and on but don't have the time. Even the name nigeria is not derived from any known nigerian tribe or history, and that too shouldn't be of any concern to a yoruba brain.

That's not enough reason for zinox to settle in Lagos. Who told you Enugu city for eg or owerri cannot host zinox company?
Are more spareparts and tummy tummy not sold in Lagos than nnewi, yet the industries are in nnewi? What of the various Chinese companies that make goods specifically for the Nigerian market ,yet the industries are situated in China?
I don't think there is a justifiable reason for that type of excuse.
If your products are good, people will come from far and near to access it irrespective of your location.
When unth Enugu was doing open heart surgeries, people from Cameroon were even coming to Enugu, same with calabar where the whites do free cataract surgery.

Same kind of reasoning before Nnewi people proved them otherwise.

And apart from Igbo chics who're somewhat smart - I've never met any Igbo guy that you can even label as intelligent or an A student.

Even my darg that's Igbo spent more than 3 years in College before getting into Uni...and he isn't even book smart at all.

There is a coloration between these achievements and 21 billion dollars remittances back into Nigerian economy on yearly basis. Simple question for a yoruba brain, is which group do you think that add value to the economy?. Is it the group of nomadic cattle herdsmen slaughtering unhindered, with born to rule mentality and culture of impunity, evilly supported and encourage by another less backward group, or a more enterprising group, 'self evident' by the above website, and the statistics from Western Union?.

Ibos are in fora night of long knives on a permanent basis for as much as they continue to create problems in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. Think about it, they are emptily proud, dishonest and will do anything for money or gain: the perfect recipe for failure in life! If you see a sane Ibo man, who deviates from this profile, he was born, raised and working in the SW, North or outside Nigeria in a developed society! The ibos can claim anything they want but they will be so shocked that when the rubber meets the road, the rest of Nigeria will send them directly back to their pigeon hell-hole called ibo land and we will maintain and develop our own country while having them surrounded on every side as Ibos are expansionist, greedy and desperate to claim another man's property! To make it easier for them to take other people's land and resources in Nigeria, they always wish Nigeria is not a strong nation like it is becoming again under Buhari and the APC. A strong nation can stand-up to any other nation, and can protect and defend its territorial integrity so far as the economy is doing well, the military and morale is sky high, the people have hope and a progressive life and do not feel that top leadership of the country has cornered their patrimony.

This is why Nigeria was almost destroyed under Jonacluless and the legions of clueless ibos who lead the army, finance ministry, governance, etc. They wanted to weaken Nigeria as much as possible so the country would not be able to mount a strong challenge when push came to shove but they failed! I want ibos to get biafra under a strong and ever progressive Nigeria! They will be 100% fenced in and Nigeria will regulate the flow of human beings, animals and food, etc through our borders as we would not owe ibos any damned thing! They will have no rights to produce any weapons, light or even cudgels or anything beyond small kitchen knives for killing their rodents which they will eat for food. Ibos cannot be trusted, they always wanted to hold down the minorities (the SS) and if it wasn't for strong Nigerian leaders in the past, most of the SS would be slaves under the ibos today!

"Inferior tribe logic". Can never, never, ever differentiate a subjugated tribe like the Igbos who have gone through all types of persecution, which include genocides, all manners of marginalisation, excluded from governance and etc, from hausa/fulani and their Yoruba stooges who have been pillaging the country from the on set. Fulani herdsmen killing and burning Christian towns and villages, boko haram doing theirs, and some ugly tribe , (cos they are ugly in most part and Igbos aren't) are here expressing their deepest anger to GOD for not endow them like the Igbos. Can you imagine, if Igbos engage in 1/100th of the above mentioned atrocities.
