drnelson: ijaw/Igbo people need to taught a lesson on civilization. They have been paid billions of dollars to develop their communities yet they are living like stone men because their elders steal the money every time .
Then they return to blame Hausa/Yoruba for their problems demanding country and all kinds of things.
It's about time we go and colonize them and teach them to live like human beings and not monkeys. Any yoruba or hausa/fulani who overlook the fulani herdsmen slaughtering unhindered in the middle belt, and choose to comment on the mere meeting announcement by Tompolo has baboon brain for real. Hausa/fulani and yorubas can never, never achieve any iota of victory over Se/Ss in an all out war or conflict in this present day and age, simply because the positions of the following entities will not be the same as in the past period. Britain, Russia, USA, AU, ECOWAS, Egypt, South Africa, UN, ICC, Arab League and etc. |

Politics › Re: Nigeria Vs Biafra. A Must Read by knowledgeable: 8:55pm On Jul 20, 2015 |
ChemicalMallam: A response to Biafrans The major problem with our people is ignorance.... People would rather watch 5 seasons of prison break than take a book and read...afterwards they come online and post all sorts of crap...yes the civil war was brutal, yes civilians died of hunger and starvation, yes innocent people were slaughtered.... But what did you expect?.... It was a war!!! I find it totally absurd that igbo's would rather demonize the federal Govt instead of admitting that their leaders were also to blame for thier suffering during the civil war.... If ojukwu had surrendered after the first 1 year of d war, most of d suffering would have been averted. But no... He chose to let his people starve than to surrender..... While Biafrans were starving, ojukwu refused to allow aide agencies deliver aid unless they paid him cash in addition to the aid.... Can u imagine? The truth is Nigeria isn't perfect... We are facing a lot of challenges as a Nation... But all countries faced these challenges at one point or the other... And these challenges are better faced united than devided... Our biggest problem is not that we are multi ethnic or a multi religious nation, no!.... But our problem remains that our leaders lack the moral and political will to bring about meaningful development. Before you start asking for republic of Biafra, arewa republic, oduduwa republic or what ever the hell u'd like to call ur ethnic states; please first of all ask ur governors what they've done with what they've been receiving from the fed govt.... Ask yourself this qstn... Can I really trust this people with more money? Ask urself what is really the problem? What or who is responsible for my present condition?... Is it because a Hausa man is the president? Or is it because my Governor has taken the money allocated to build class rooms for my children and instead used it to buy houses abroad? Demand accountability from ur leaders at all levels.... In conclusion the average Hausa man on the street in Kano is not the enemy of the Igbo trader in Enugu, but instead they are both victims of the Same oppressor.... The oppressor that has denied ur children access to education, ur wives access to health care, ur graduates access to employment..... That oppressor is Corruption... Even if Nigeria is devided into a million pieces; if we don't stamp out corruption we will still leave in abject poverty.... Regardless of our tribes or ethnicities, our needs are the same; food on the table, education for our kids, employment for our youths, dignity for one another.... Fellow Nigerians.... What binds us is Much stronger than what separates us.... Do not succumb to hate and tribalism... I hope you are not Igbo. .....cos any Igbo that reason..your way of reasoning is gone completely. The above kind of reasoning belongs to the yorubas only. Even the British have admitted that they created a monstrous political system, using a spiritual #3 that is capable of wiping out a major African ethnic group, as they pair all 3 major black African ethnic groups under one political entity, knowing fully well (based on European long history) that under 3, 2 will naturally subtract or ( team up against 1). The dialectic ensures and guarantee their control for as long as it takes. Igbos can *only* view Hausas and yorubas as brothers under a loose federation. Speaking of governors,......under this system, are selected not elected and answerable firstly to the party that gave him the platform and mandate. The centrist system is unbalanced and very destructive regardless of what the state governors are getting or doing even with good intentions. A centrist federal government by simple policy of moving boko haram suspect to a state with good intentioned governor can destroy the investment drive and hard work of a working governor talk more of a determined destructive policies in different sectors and sub sectors targeted to a particular group or regions ( through customs, fedral police , army recruiting and ranking, education, and the lists goes on endlessly). |

Politics › Re: Labels Called Nigeria And Biafra. by knowledgeable: 3:56pm On Jul 18, 2015 |
dexy007: For quite some time I have had to gather intelligence from the several threads & comments here on nairaland and the outside world in general with reference to the aforementioned topic.
It hurts me badly when I realise the depth of hatred being built inside of us by the so called division in tribe. I begin to wonder before we all were labelled whatever tribe we were first and foremost born as man.
I am Yoruba by tribe, Nigerian by nationality, Christian by religion but most importantly I'm man by reason of specie and birth. If only we could closely see and realise all those classification are merely titles. This we forget, which is the essence of man, to make the best of what other species are ignorant of.
Same way Nigeria and Biafra would only be a geographical location of a certain group of people as well as feeding the egos of certain people which remains the bane of any meaningful development for man. We are quick to forget that there was a certain period that USA never believed that one day a Black man (Racial Labelling) would ever become the president of that nation.
When shall we all see that the day we look beyond all this man-made labels is when the world would be at peace with itself for once. The day Isreal would look at Palestine and say we were both born the same way, same for Palestine. The day the Arabian countries would see that religion is by choice and not by force. I was given birth to as man and not Arabian.
Who says those agitating for Biafra don't have ulterior motives just like the zoo they have labelled Nigeria to be? Who says every tribe in Nigeria doesn't want secession, but we all know that there can never be meaningful development in breaking away.
We all are angry that the White man gave us a name, but have we thought of the idea of coming together as one to rename our true identity, we say we angry at the White man's ideology of naming us, but that same ideology is what as shaped our governance to the present day. Can you re-write history without history? We all been able to read and write today and use modern technology is no doubt referenced to them.
In the midst of all these confusion when it was time to come together as one against the White man's ideology of same sex marriage we all forgot about tribe, religion rather stood as one thinking like the original in the beginning which is MAN. My question is where did all these labels and titles disappear into?
The answer is nowhere cause they are all non-existent only brought alive when there is a favour or reward attached for belonging to an egocentric ideology of a man like yourself seeking to take advantage of a world with scarce resources instead of seeking ways of ensuring such scarce resources are made available to all to indeed bring alive the essence of man which is Equity and Justice.
My humble submission is this, there is no such thing as a White man, Black man or any other man as such. Man is Man, dispersed all over planet earth, with different natural forces exerted upon them in their different geographical environments. No man is superior to the other, exposure and enlightenment differentiates we all of which those two factors are transferable.
Nigeria and Biafra are labels, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, etc. are all labels, the earlier we realise this the better for us all, the 1967 civil war will be only a child's play when the current hatred and name callings finally reaches its crescendo.
I love eternally my Yoruba culture, I respect my Ibo business orientation & ingenuity, My Hausa humilty and honesty, My Urhobo sense of humor, My Ibibio dress sense, My Tiv ability to till the soil, but I can never forget who I am, a MAN. My true Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria, Biafra and Diaspora I love you all as well, not forgetting those with other religious beliefs.
A man is a person that gathers all information within and outside is environment, sieves the good from the bad and most importantly affects his environs by enlightening and not enforcing.
God bless the GOOD men of Nigeria that most of us are for now!!! God bless the agitation of the GOOD people of Biafra!!! Most importantly God bless Man scattered around the planet earth in general.
Trust me when I say currently no such thing exists as one Nigeria, but with a gathering of MAN and not Nigerians or Biafrans, a New Country would emerge and I know of a certainty that the name of that country wouldn't be Nigeria neither would it be Biafra. Shutting down or jamming of radio stations is not the answer. When the foundation is faulty no buiding can stand. Dialogue remains the answer. Dialogue of the the right people, with the right people and for the right purpose.
May God help and bless us all!!! Amen.

MurphyG1: I would still repeat that ISLAM has nothing to do with this! These people are not Islamic fundamentalists. They are terrorists. The moment we begin to realise that Boko Haram group is a terrorist group and NOT an islamic sect the better it will be for the unity of this nation. What BH does is totally unislamic and that is why I said Islam has nothing to to do with such terrorist attack. Its unfortunate that BH claims to fight in the name of Islam but isnt it glaring to all of us that the attacks are unislamic? Islam preaches peace and Islam frowns at innocent attacks.. BH is a terrorist group and there is nothing islamic about that. ""Very childish answer or response". Boko haram is an ideology driven by religious interpretations, therefore it's religious with root in Islam, just like her sister groups, isis and alshabab. Terrorism on the other hand cannot be driven by terrorism per say. Plus, we don't have any history of terrorism in nigeria driven by anything, but we do have history of religious riots and killings stretching back as far back as we can tell. Also fulani herdsmen slaughtering unhindered are also religious driven since 99.9% of them are muslims while 99.9% of their victims are Christians. I pity you northerners and your way of reasoning, logic and lies in Nigeria cos ict has caught up with your backward nature and lies unprepared. |

Honestly, Biafra is not about being surrounded by good yorubas or yoruba being surrounded by good igbos, after all igbos and Yorubas intermarries more than any other groups. Biafra is about changing nigeria minimumly after 100 yrs of non transforming, non industrializing and non modernizing by agents of darkness within the polity. I for one believes that yorubas and Igbos will enjoy much more greater relationship in a restructured or divided Nigeria. Omooba77: It is not about tribe, but innocent blood being shed daily. "Shot up". Yorubas are 1000% on the side of Nigeria genocidal history up to date. They have done this, through their hateful tribalistic politics and their long throat on niger delta oil. Have you ever, ever heard the yorubas call the Hausa/fulani out. In other words, have you heard yorubas said hausa or fulani people are evil or disgracing Nigeria by their murderous nature up to date like they always say about Igbos in matters like drug pushing or just saying lagos is no man's land without any human being losing his or her life. For as long as yorubas believe in this kind of one nigeria with the murderous nature of hausa/fulani, they are partner in genocide that the whole world are witness to. |

- Stoppage of phantom fuel subsidy payments to the cabal, & reducing it from over N5b to N1.8b per day.
Without Finance minister: - External reserves increased by $3b in a month. - Bailout to states to clear 8 months salary arrears. - Closure of all secret govt accounts. - Maintenance of a single Federation Account for all FG revenues.
Without External Affairs minister: - Secured multilateral cooperation of all neighbouring countries for a MJTF against Boko Haram.
