eventainment:For you, those relationships may be just that, but for women many of whom end up investing time, emotional, mental, and physical energy in addition to bearing much of the mental load that is the relationship, it is more than that and as such there is need for them to ensure they at least benefit something from the exchange. ![]() Again, I suggest that for those of you who think a wife alone should get gifts from you, please stick to patronizing pr0stitutes since you also seem to be amenable to their demands for strict payment for their time and physical energy. ![]() |
Walezy2020:Please stick to Pr0stitutes until you get married, that way you don't need to worry about these sort of things as you are instead forced to pay exactly how much you owe. ![]() |
ogaontop:What you are struggling with is a lack of comprehension. The answer you seek is right there for you to glean. ![]() Legal battles do not change the letter of the law or how it works. ![]()
|
ogaontop:Read the information presented below. ![]()
|
1Alex:Let's pretend for a second that what you posted somehow applies in this case, where in what you have above does it state that the person who was defrauded in that case is allowed to violate trespassing laws and other criminal codes in an attempt to retrieve or claim said property? ![]() |
wirinet:You are not making sense. I suggest you go back and review the image attached to the original comment for explanation you need here..🤔 |
wirinet:Usually, when folks gift cars to others, they ensure the documents pertaining to the vehicle, not necessarily the receipt that was used to purchase it, are transferred to the recipient. This ain't nothing new to any of us. ![]() |
wirinet:If the documents of the car are not in the gift recipient's name, then the donor can argue that it was not meant as a gift in that case, but would likely need to provide communication that makes this claim explicitly known to the other party. ![]() But if you gift a person a car, you make certain at that point that all documents on the car are in that person's name. That much is known to all. ![]() |
Mamaafrik1:Kids are able to take back gifts— of course, parents are supposed to teach them better about not taking things back that they have given to others. However, adults are under the law, and the law is clear that forcibly taking gifts back may earn them charges of theft and home invasion. ![]() |
Silentgroper:Wrong! Go back and re-read what the legal suggests instead. A gift does not need to come with a receipt or a name attached. It simply needs to be delivered and completely gifted by a donor to a recipient. ![]() |
EDGEof2MORO:1. So, rather than take accountability for your marriage existing in an obviously fragile state, you would rather look for ways to blame third parties? I told you earlier that I grew up around many tiny-brained men such as yourself, right? ![]() 2. You mean this other woman's husband, who is desperately trying to make it seem all women are a threat and problem with his marriage, right? Nonsense! 🥱🥱🥱🥱 |
EDGEof2MORO:I am glad you admit, in your own words, that your married reality is not as happy as you formerly claimed, given that it is threatened by the existence of single, unmarried women out there who could potentially befriend your wife. ![]() |
GENERALFRENKIE:He would have to provide possible written documentation of this leasing of the items then, and prove that this was clearly communicated to the recipient, at the time of the exchange. 🥱🥱🥱 |
EDGEof2MORO:Then what are you still afraid of? ![]() |
aBimboLaGsaucE:I hope the lady has an image of the guys and posts a storytime on social media about what transpired. She needs to warn other women about this man so he does not take advantage of other women after this. ![]() OP, it seems your friend wanted a pr0stitute, and not a girlfriend. So why didn't he simply get himself one? Why go through all those dates only to get nothing in the end? What was the point? ![]() |
eventainment:Trying to blame the lady in this case for the man choosing to gift her all those things is tiny-brained and an attempt to avoid holding these men accountable for their immature behavior towards women who reject or dump them in love. ![]() A woman does not owe a man her life in any sort of relationship. The moment she believes she no longer benefits from a relationship with any man, or she conceives that she is investing more than she benefits from the union, she has every right to exit the relationship. So, men who think they are entitled to a woman's time and energy without reciprocal return are just being ridiculous. Also, men who date women whom they realize are above their league, only to then cry foul when such women decide they are ready to level up, are not victims but immature beings. And I truly believe these men should be penalized by women like these. I really wish the woman in the OP would get advice to call the cops and report the man and his friends to the police for what they need. ![]() 2. You should probably not bother dating any woman at all, because after all is said and done, it seems many of you do not need lovers, but pr0stitutes who would only charge you for the cost of the exact time and physical labor they invest in you—with none of the emotional and mental investment that lovers bring. I think many of you are doing the wrong thing by looking for girlfriends when what you need are pr0stitutes. ![]() |
GENERALFRENKIE:Why do you people keep skirting the facts here? The image I posted clearly informs you that, in the case of a gift, once the gift changes hands from the donor to the recipient, it becomes the property of the recipient. (It no longer matters that the donor has the receipt.) And once that has happened, forcibly retrieving a gift without consent(from the recipient) can be considered a crime, such as theft or forceful entry. ![]()
|
elipheleh:You didn't read the details presented in that image at all, did you? Do you know what a gift is? Under Nigerian law, once an unconditional gift is validly given and accepted, ownership is fully transferred to the recipient, and the giver has no legal right to demand it back after a breakup. Forcibly retrieving a gift without consent can be considered a crime, such as theft or forceful entry.Note that the above says nothing of the receiver needing a receipt in hand to prove an item was gifted. 🥱🥱 2. You really need to work on your comprehension skills, my boy! The man showed up(uninvited) to pick up what we are told are gifts, which he gave to the girl while they were dating. The text above in read clearly states that what he did is legally considered theft and forceful entry. 🥱🥱 3. A better solution would be for tiny-brained little men to quit ➜ Dating girls they cannot afford ➜ Probably work on growing themselves financially so they do not feel the need to resort to invading homes and engaging in possible theft when they get their hearts broken. 🥱🥱
|
duduade:Loyal in what sense? Because a girl decided to date you, she should not be expected to stop dating you when she finally realizes she gains nothing from remaining with you or finds that she can do better with someone else. Is that it? Why do so many of you think or believe you are entitled to loyalty from women when you have none of that to offer them in return? ![]() |
Ezekiel2122:I have no idea what this here means. How can people who literally barged into another person's home and stole items from it say they can defend themselves a crime the video serves as proof of? The sense is not sensing on this submission of yours,ol'boy! ![]() |
Dancebreaker:If your girlfriend treated sex the same way a pr0stitute treated sex, would you not have to pay her then for the time, emotional, mental, and physical energy she expends in the relationship with you? ![]() For many men, all they bring to their relationships is just the money they bring into them. (Many other men are simply terrible in bed, so the sex may indeed be nothing to write home about.) So why do you consider it wrong for a woman to at least gain that much from the relationship? Or is she not supposed to gain any value whatsoever from it all? ![]() |
Tailorcaesar:. Sure, sure! You came to shame her but did not know that you would be impacted by your telling of this tale, abi? ![]() |
Inspectorsuga22:. There is something inherently wrong with an individual who sees having a girlfriend as something that is no different from banging a pr0stitute. If you consider a lover to you— meant to invest time, emotional, mental, and physical labor into a relationship with you— to a pr0stitute who only invests physical labor for a limited time, which you are required to pay for, then you should probably avoid commenting on these sort of threads and focus your energy on just pr0stitutes and no other women out there. ![]() |
ebubeson:More importantly, why do you carry am for head that women too fit sleep with their exes at any point in their life or situation? 🥱🥱 |
Tailorcaesar:And you are here to tell us that if you finally end up having sex with her, it will not be that you cheated on your current partner with her, but that your ex came back to you, her ex, right? 🥱🥱 Na all these women who dey always lowball themselves in relationship I dey pity pass. 🥱🥱🥱 |
Luckystarsssz:And if that woman finally realizes how bad her decision to lowball herself in marriage really is, and decides to go hook up with an ex or a new man, e sure me say you go come here come tell us say "you did not see it coming,", right? 🥱🥱🥱 |
EDGEof2MORO:That's because you are insecure and certain that those single, unmarried female friends would invariably reveal to her how little value you truly bring to her existence, right? I grew up around your kind: men do all that is possible to isolate their wives from friends — outside support of their own—and family, in some cases, who could get in the way of them maintaining control over their wives. ![]() 2. Of course, keep her as isolated and blind to the truth of your real worth to her, abi? ![]() |
legionISproteus:Where were you born with your dick attached to a vagina that you would suggest that being single forever is some sort of curse on your life? ![]() |
Adeboyefa:Look, when it comes to life, there is absolutely no evidence out there that Christians do life better than everyone else. So, why in the world would anyone, even a spinster, consider it sensible, intelligent even, to take advice on how to live his/her life from someone simply because he/she claim to be Christian? ![]() Spinsters, like bachelors, who do not marry and do not want to have children, are under no obligations to have them. Matter of fact, women are allowed to live out their days single and childfree, if that is what they desire. The same applies to men who wish to live out their days as childfree bachelors. ![]() 2. Studies have shown, over and over, that children are better off raised by at least one emotionally mature parent figure, whether in a sole parenting situation or a two-parent situation, since the major benefit to be received is from being raised by at least one mentally and emotionally mature individual/guardian. What this means is that individuals raised in single-parent homes can and do grow up into capable adults, the same as individuals raised in two-parent homes, where at least one of the caregivers. The key is the availability of at least one emotionally and socially mature caregiver/guardian in both cases. Of course, that invariably means that children raised in toxic/bad marriages — also two-parent homes —do not turn out any better than children raised by toxic/immature single-parent homes. ![]() This logic here is the reason why I stand on the belief that religion is for those who are brain-damaged or at least struggle with serious unresolved mental illness. |
jiggyman:Did you read what it says on that image there? The law requires that the person asserting them— trying to take back the item — be responsible for providing proof that it was not a gift. So? ![]()
|
EDGEof2MORO:Storyland! 🥱🥱🥱🥱 Tell the woman to join Nairaland and come tell us her side of the story! This is, after all, a faceless forum where she can hide her identity from all of us, including you if she so wanted to. So, what is there for you to be afraid of? ![]() |
EDGEof2MORO:Tell that wife of yours to come on Nairaland and tell us her side of this story. 🥱🥱🥱 |
