Kajaard: Kobojunkie I need your input on this thread My view is simple and the same as I have shared in other cases. Deadbeats should not be rewarded in any way, remains my stance. Given that the child is currently being raised by her mother, there is no need to raise dust in her life for the sake of a deadbeat father. If the child has already been adopted by the stepdad, then there is no reason to even bother mentioning her to the deadbeat. If, when she becomes older — maybe after age 16/18— maybe the identity of her biological father can be revealed to her, in addition to the whole truth of his deadbeat status— that truth is necessary. However, before then, the deadbeat should have no place or right to come in to disturb the peace of the child's current family, unless the child finds out before then and maybe even demands she be allowed to visit him from time to time. |

Aspayastudenthu: 1. Please follow Women are responsible. I said “in such situation” - and to be fair and blunt, I’m not a feminist nor do I believe in the notion of equality. Sorry I said that. Men should be treated as the head of the home. 3. Policies should be holistic. What I mean is ….”in this situation”…. Sorry, I’m not sure what’s your gender cos I didn’t really check but if you are Male, I will like to inform you that nothing beats pregnancy in this world. And no man can even fathom what goes on during the period of pregnancy. ➜ That said, while the holistic healthcare policies covers all human being, pregnant women should definitely be protected at all cost. No matter what that cost might be. 1. Well, if you feel the men should be held responsible and accountable, then shouldn't the focus of the polices be the men in this case? 2. Then, shouldn't the primary focus be on educating men on the goings on during pregnancy and all, since you claim women shouldn't be assumed equally responsible? I am having a hard time following your argument is why I keep asking these things. 3. How can you protect pregnant women when the major power over them, according to you, is the man? |

MosesAlex: ➜There several English translations of the John 19:25. Can you share a version that supports your translation from Greek? Here are about 24 translations in the link below. https://biblehub.com/john/19-25.htm. You are not getting your Greek translation right. ➜ Also the word sister or brother in Greek is not unique to blood brother. It also refers to cousins, even nephews. The Greek word for brother is Adelphos. However, <adelphos> does not just mean blood brothers born of the same parents. Rather, <adelphos> was used to describe brothers not born of the same parents, like a halfbrother or stepbrother. The word also described other relationships, like cousins, nephews, etc. ➜ For example, in Gn 13:8 and 14:1416, the word <adelphos> was used to describe the relationship between Abraham and Lot; however, these two men did not share a brother relationship, but one of uncle and nephew. Another instance is that of Laban, who was an <adelphos> to Jacob, not as a brother, but as an uncle. ➜Also for the first 200 years of Christianity, the early Christians and Church fathers knew this fact. You may do your research. ➜ Also, Our Lord Jesus gave his mother to John to take care of. And why not His younger siblings? It was because He was an only child of His mother. I don't do Bible versions. I consult the Greek/Hebrew and go from there. So, you tell me exactly what you find wrong with what is stated there in the Greek, and we go from there. As the image again shows, Mary(Jesus's mother) was said to have been there by the cross with many women, including one who was noted as a sister and two others who also bore the name Mary. 2. This argument does not make sense to me at all. You claim that Mary did not have other children. However, if we are to follow your particular argument so far, then your claim cannot be said to hold on the very grounds that the book neither explicitly states that she had other children, nor does it state that she didn't. The question here is why do you feel the need to insist that Mary had no other children apart from Jesus Christ when the Books don't corroborate this idea of yours. 3. Leave Genesis out of this since the Hebrew writings do not help you in this. 4. Your 200 years of Christianity have absolutely nothing to do with what is written in the Bible. So, trash that attempt completely. 5. Jesus Christ never gave His mother to anyone. He merely indicated, probably along the lines of His teachings in Matthew 12 vs 46-50, Luke 8 vs 21 & Mark 3 vs 33- 35 , that Mary and James were linked according to the rules which He set.

MosesAlex: ➜Intentional disregarding an argument, is not an argument. You disregarded the two questions I asked you. Probably I should just disregard responding to you. 1. I expressly responded to both of your questions. Are you instead unsatisfied because you did not get the exact response you desired? As for version, I don't see why it should matter what version of the book you pick up when the Greek texts can be consulted in this. |

Aspayastudenthu: ➜Sentiment aside, and critically speaking, the healthcare system needs to be more favourable to women and unborn children. There ought to be some placement for this type of situation. Save life first and then don’t forget to educate people and create awareness about this sort of things. You know that most women may fall pregnant over and over again because they are looking for a particular gender or because they want a specific number of kids. And these are some areas that adequate awareness and education can provide help for. ➜Yes men ought to be responsible and accountable to their families - ➜ but no woman should die because of a failed healthcare system. I am afraid I don't follow. 2. Are women not supposed to be equally responsible and accountable? 3. Are you suggesting that polices be put in place to place responsibility wholly on the Healthcare system and not equally on the individual women themselves? |

MosesAlex: ➜ Read John 19: 25 again you, I either didn't get the punctuation right or if you did , I would like to know the version of the Bible you are quoting from. ➜Secondly: Gal 1:19 clearly indicates an Apostle James as the brother of Jesus. How come you are silent about that . This is what is written in John 19 vs 25 25 Jesus’ mother stood near his cross. Her sister was also standing there with Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 Jesus saw his mother. He also saw the follower he loved very much standing there. He said to his mother, “Dear woman, here is your son.” 27 Then he said to the follower, “Here is your mother.” So after that, this follower took Jesus’ mother to live in his home. - John 19 vs 25 - 27 I don't know about you, but I think it would have been weird if Mary and her sister were both named Mary. 2. I intentionally disregard the content of Paul's letter here to focus instead on the relationships between these individuals previously established in the Gospels. It is utmost to clearly grasp those first before venturing into deciphering any other ideas that may have been presented later on.

Mathewrichard99: ✓ So much sense in what you wrote here. I think the man was so much into making something out of this. This man started life video recording of his wife immediately they got into a car enroute hospital. He was videoing and assuring her of his love for her and not to leave him alone ......who does this when your wife is in pain and almost at the point of death? Beside the obvious that he should have made arrangements before it got to that critical stage. Pregnancy ain't accidental, it gives you a complete 7 to 9 Months notice....you know it's there and not hidden and shouldn't catch you unaware to the extent of involving Nigerians or government. You impregnated your wife alone and there's ample time for you to make a good arrangement before the due date... I think this man knows at the depth of his heart that the wife would die and he did plan to make a cruise of it by doing Facebook live video so as to get money after her death.......it's nonsense...the man is very stupid....you need to see the video before you think I am heartless.....this man is heartless........ Story seems even more suspicious.😲😲😲 He had money for data to record the ordeal beginning from the start? Na true say na Convalescent centre him carry him wife go for Emergency? I saw the picture and found it hard to believe. |
