Reverseng: ➜Hello Sir. Trust this meets you well Concerning Jesus choosing his disciples, what was the purpose of choosing 12 men to teach his principles? ➜ Jesus taught his disciples with the hopes that they would learn what he know and rise to the level he is. Does that mean the miracles that Jesus performed can be learned? ➜Can Jesus knowledge be learnt? Or can it only be taught by Jesus? ➜Concerning Israel being God's chosen people, was there a criteria for this? ➜Seems like a segregation of other tribes? ➜Did the whole of isreal swear themselves to God or did God pick them as his chosen tribe? ➜ could you please tell me how one can shut off the brain naturally. Jesus Christ's purpose was to send those men, his first disciples who also had to be blood descendants of Jacob, out to recruit and gather more disciples and descendants of Jacob. The reason was to gather the scattered flock back to the God of Israel, just as YHWH, God of Israel had said He would do. 2. What Jesus Christ of Israel taught His followers was the Law of the Kingdom of God —the Gospel— which they had to follow to obtain the ability to do the works that Jesus Christ of Israel did and more. 3. As Jesus Christ of Israel Himself said, only those who are of the blood of Jacob, become born-again, and live in continuous submission and obedience— abide — to Him would He abide in. 4. There was simply the fact that they were descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob... all of them righteous men from whom the Israelites are all descendants. There were no other criteria for their chosen that were specified by the God of Israel. 5. Segregation? The sons of men rejected YHWH from the beginning, leaving YHWH the option of choosing for himself only those who would accept Him. Abraham, Isaac, and then Jacob chose Him and He decided to choose their descendants. I heard someone say it amounted to racism. But why should YHWH's decision to choose only the bloodline of those who accepted Him among men considered a racist decision? 6. YHWH gave Jacob the name Israel and claimed Him and His bloodline for HIs own. YHWH did this knowing fully well that not all of the people of Israel would accept Him. The people of Israel— descendants of Jacob — did not have to do anything of their own to be chosen by Him. He did not even require them to proclaim Him their God at all for Him to choose them. And He made it known to them that as far as He was concerned, they were some of the worst people that existed. But despite that, He chose them because of the promise He made to their fathers—Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob(the one God named as His choice to carry out the promise He made to Abraham). If you read through the book of Deuteronomy, you will come to understand YHWH's argument. 7. Death! |

Statement wey dey make people no fear God again na indirect murder. What results from an obvious lack of emotional intelligence or a mental illness— shame can be a symptom of mental illness— should not be brandished as a virtue. Shame is an emotional response to a perception of doing something wrong or improper or feeling worthlessness or unworthiness. Insisting that you experience shame merely from watching a video could mean any of the above or that you believe you have in fact done wrong. 2. Murder is not an arbitrarily defined criminal offense that you would think to accuse just about anyone of. If you don't know the correct use of the term, I suggest you do your research. |

Moniker947: ➜ Saw myself through sch, struggle so hard to train myself and assist my kid siblings, spent almost mine years on a four year course cos I had no money to pay my tuition fees, no support. I did the most humbling things until I was able to graduate. After graduation, still earning 40k as a teacher. Rent will be due by next month and there's no hope as to where I can get it. There are many days(even right now) I go to bed on an empty stomach, and this has resulted in ulcer, nights that I cry and soak my pillow in tears and wish for death. In all these, I never tried taking my life by myself. I can only wish that I sleep and don't wake up. Depression is actually real, but we must be Strong and courageous. I come from a family where nobody cares for anyone except within themselves, that is blood siblings. No one looks out for the extended family members. It's "To your Tent o Israel". I am living my life in such a way that i depend on nobody for help, in fact I am not entitled to anyone's help. Nobody owes me anything. But I feel like I owe people a lot. [s]And I pray for God's blessings so I can reach out to people.[/s] Nothing on earth is as painful as having a need and not having the means. It's tormenting. Why the conflicting ideas? You don't depend on anyone for help yet feel you owe many people? How? Could this possibly be where some of your torment comes from? 🤔 |

Moniker947: ➜Fellow Nairalanders, Please do not view this post as an attempt to seek help or to curry favor or public sympathy. No, that's not the intent. I decided to come out to speak out because there's a need to. I've stomached a lot, and I feel it's time I speak up. I believe speaking out would help me get a sigh of relief. Again, I've just read about a man who took his own life due to depression. I believe such occurrence would have being averted if he had spoken out. I will continue to stand against Suicide cos it is an act that is not only shameful to the family, but sinful and tantamount to cowardice. I know and understand that everyone cannot be emotionally and psychologically be as strong as some other persons but believe me there's no justification for taking one's life. There is absolutely nothing shameful about suicide. Those who suffer from mental illnesses such as depression only succumb and take their lives eventually committing no crimes against humanity or others. Taking one's own life is not an act of cowardice. It is merely you who decides you have had enough of the suffering that is your own life. They have no reason to be ashamed of taking what is or was their own life, to begin with. And those left behind have no valid reason to append shame to their leaving. Those of us who choose not to take our lives but wait instead for death to come for us when it will are not better than the dead, and no, we do not win any medals or gold when the end finally comes. |

TimiRume: ➜I can't wait to meet believers who have given up every pleasure including marriage just for the sake of Christ. I can't wait to meet even believers that desire marriage but not in an obsessive way like the world but rather have Christ as their primary pursuit. ➜I'm not against marriage. It's a beautiful institution created by God himself but it's only useful here on earth. It's an earthly thing. And we are heavenly citizens now and should desire the things which are above. Marry if you want to but be circumspect with it, don't you think? You should marry if you can't hold your virginity but remember you still need to be single-minded in marriage if you are to increase in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord. Let's use every worldly office wisely then. First of all your Christian religion has absolutely nothing to do with that which was set up by the God of Israel —YHWH — and Jesus Christ of Israel. They both made this abundantly clear in the fact religion was abhorred by both, and they each made clear that only descendants of Jacob. Second, the religion of Christianity depends largely on its members multiplying by way of having kids and their many generations filling the seats in its many large auditoriums. That is how your many scammers-in-the-lords, the first bishops, popes, priests, and now GOs, Pastors, prophets, apostles, etc., have been able to throw their earthly kingdoms aka business, and hence their revenue streams. Population growth is what drives the religion and hence its growth; even your scammers-in-the-lords price themselves in having the fruits of the loins. So, suggesting the members instead live as Eunuchs is counterintuitive. |
