1. You complain of him allowing girls to leech off of him yet you are guilty of similar that is allowing him to leech off of you and your particular excuse for your own behavior is that he is a neighbor and a friend.

There is no mystery to this. You need to consume more calories than you regularly do and maintain that average for months to begin seeing changes.

One does not first need to be diagnosed to realize that one is mentally ill. Like the common cold, people are typically aware of the presence of mental illness even without a formal education of such. Suicide is a typical symptom of Depression, a mental illness. His mother's words are evidence enough that the boy killed himself because of the likely presence of mental problems over the years.

2. The word coward has different meanings and applications than the word you are attempting to force here.

Now you are never thought by the apostles that calling on the name of Jesus will save you, what you read in the new testament is to confess that Jesus is Christ and Lord.
This error has made many believe that just by calling upon Jesus they automatically will get saved. Irrespective of their sins and wickedness, it becomes an amazing quick get out of hell free card. But it's not, because it never was, you have to repent and obey God to be saved.

While you are correct that merely calling on the name of Jesus Christ of Israel does not save anyone, you equally missed an important fact in that verse you quoted. It states there that the name of YHWH as a means of salvation would apply at the time only to those in Mount Zion — the city of David —and in Jerusalem.

Having a child is what is selfish. You do not consult the child nor get permission before bringing him into existence. He suffered it for 12 whole years .... just imagine the mental torment of having this thing in your brain 24/7 and then 12 years of it for that matter. That life belonged to him from before he was born and he had always had the right to end it of his own volition. He never signed a contract with anyone so it always belonged to him.
