iwaeda: Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, has said it is facing an overwhelming influx of severely malnourished children in seven northern states at its medical facilities. A statement issued by the MSF Field Communication Officer in Nigeria, Abdulkareem Yakubu, said the affected states are Kano, Bauchi, Borno, Yobe, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi. UNICEF has been working for decades in many of these same states to curb these same problems. It is time to shut down many of these non-working states abeg. States that have been living on handouts from the government should be shutdown and merged with other working states abeg! Nigerian people should no longer be burdened with states that only exist for the sake of furthering corruption and waste for Pete's sake. |

The original Torah God wrote on a tablet and gave to Moses was broken and the written Torah by Moses has been corrupted by the Babylonians and later re-corrupted by the Roman Empire. Do you know why the law forbids the military and police from going on strike. Let me tell you.The strike was called off because nlc had made big mistake by offing the grid which has to do with national security. adioolayi: “It is important to explain here that a national minimum wage is not synonymous with the different pay structures of different states. The national minimum wage is the lowest floor below which no employer is allowed to pay." The statement above is where I have big issues with the leadership of NLC and TUC...over these years, what exactly have they done to employers that have not been paying NGN 30,000 What have they done to stop loads of private schools to stop paying teachers nonsense money, as low as NGN 15,000 What have they done to stop State Government, Local government fron paying their staffs less than NGN 30,000 Nigeria's employees are not FGN workers only..the regular stylist in the saloon, helpers that sweep people's compounds, gateman, various artisans, sales girl/boy, drivers, cook e.t.c are also Labours...who will fight for them? How will NLC/TUC ensure these set of people get whatever is agreed upon These are the conversations NLC/TUC will need to address. These are very good questions that need to be addressed as well. But they can equally be addressed even as the adjustments to minimum wage are being made. The Government indeed has to be made to enforce the law even after the agreement is made. |

OgaRico: As for me, I think NLC is not smart enough to get a good amount as the new minimum wage from the Government. Propose to the Government the amount of 1 million as the new minimum wage, of course the Government will refuse such amount and then both parties can engage on pricing from the proposed amount to a meaningful amount. Let say if the Government price and price, last last they will at least settle somewhere around 100k, which will not be too bad. ▶ Any amount less than $64.5 or Naira 94,893.69 is extreme poverty and should not even be considered of worth. ▶ Any amount less than $68 or Naira 102000, which is the former minimum wage adjusted for the approximate 340% depreciation of Naira since February 2023, is pretty much not a raise but adjustment to match the old minimum wage. I suspect the recent increase of 300% for the Judiciary was such an adjustment made against the Naira depreciation level. So this Naira 120,000 or $68 point needs to be where Labor begins its negotiating for a raise. ▶ At the federal level though, anything less than N250,000 should be rejected by federal workers. Given the padding senior workers at the federal level freely give themselves, I see no reason why some of that extra padding should not work it's way down and across the board to other Federal workers. What is a poverty line? A poverty line, also called a poverty threshold, is a set amount of income below which it becomes difficult, if not impossible, for people to afford essentials like food and shelter. Each country determines its poverty line by calculating the cost of meeting minimum needs. Households with incomes below this line are considered to be living in poverty. The international poverty line serves as a standard for measuring extreme global poverty and was recently adjusted to $2.15 a day to reflect the rising cost of necessities and adjust for inflation. Since 1990, it has increased from $1 to $2.15, reflecting the rising cost of living. https://www.worldvision.org/sponsorship-news-stories/global-poverty-facts |

Jesus said He is the way, the apostles told us Jesus is the way and that we should follow Him. Or do you mean apostle were wrong to tell us Jesus is the way? That's their opinion? Perhaps you want them to tell us that Jesus is not the way and that we should worship them and not Jesus? What are you talking about? Many of the contents of his letters of Paul are merely opinions of Paul, something which Paul himself made those, in fact, paying attention aware. You quoting Paul in the name of Jesus Christ is against Jesus Christ who instead told His followers to teach people to obey only that which He has taught and commanded of them. The mandate given by Jesus Christ is simply expressed. ▶ So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything that I have told you to do(the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ) . You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of time.” - Matthew 28 vs 19-21 ▶ He said to them, “Go everywhere in the world. Tell the Good News(the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ) to everyone. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved. But those who do not believe will be judged guilty. And the people who believe will be able to do these things as proof: They will use my name to force demons out of people. They will speak in languages they never learned. If they pick up snakes or drink any poison, they will not be hurt. They will lay their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” - Mark 16 vs 15 - 19 ▶ When Jesus helped the followers understand these Scriptures about him. Jesus said to them, “It is written that the Messiah would be killed and rise from death on the third day. You saw these things happen—you are witnesses. You must go and tell people that they must change and turn to God, which will bring them his forgiveness.(the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ) You must start from Jerusalem and tell this message in my name to the people of all nations. Remember that I will send you the one my Father promised. Stay in the city until you are given that power from heaven.” - Luke 24 vs 45 - 49 Any addition to that which Jesus Christ explicitly instructed of His followers is not of Him but of opinions of men. Why are you having a hard time with this? |

Pay close attention!!! ▶ God never asked any man to follow Paul of the teachings of Paul. ▶ God was explicit when He instead commanded all His people to trust and obey Only Jesus Christ. God even bellowed this from the Heavens on more than one occasion. ▶ Jesus Christ made abundantly clear to His followers that those of them who love Him are those among them who would submit to and obey only His teachings and commandments. ▶ Jesus Christ separated Himself from everyone else when He declared that in His Kingdom, He alone is Master, Teacher, Head, Authority, Good Shepherd, Counselor, etc., over everyone who belongs to Him. You, following the apostles because, according to you, you supposedly came to know Jesus Christ through them has nothing to do with Jesus Christ but your deceit.
