In the immortal words of Arunma Oteh--->When you fight corruption, it fights you back. How do you expect the Reps to support a truly meritocratic UTME? |
they did EVERYTHING in her presence. Translation: She watched EVERYTHING. interesting. Though its gross and unfair sha. |
@OP it is important that we conduct a structural audit of said reproduction apparatus for signs of wear and tear. This is a level-one Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) imperative. |
if you have been invited for premium banking, you wont be complaining here. ![]() |
I can vouch for wakanow making cash. I have been stranded without working ATM/Visa cards and made flight bookings by phone on Wakanow. I know of at least two other people who make use of Wakanow too regularly. Its not just a web biz any longer. Besides the paid vacation trips they market most definitely give them steady cash. @sarutobi. That kind of funding comes from SV. CCHub Lagos got funded by Pierre Omidyar. Iroko TV got funded by a swedish VC recently ( to the tune of $2m). Same thing, Encipher (Produced Nigeria's first android tablet). PagaTech too got funding from Pierre Omidyar too. People are doing good stuff and getting funded. Thats what we all aspire to. Lets not be blinded by the Nigerian situation. If your product's tight and capable of repaying the funds, foreign investors will ignore the environment and fund you. let's all work hard and someday it might be your turn. |
I used the Griaule SDK for my final year project. Its available in .NET, Java and C and a host of other languages. www.griaulebiometrics.com |
Nigerians never cease to amaze me. Someone tries to setup a terrorist centre of excellence in your neighbourhood and you are complaining that hooligans are coming from outside to help beat up the terrorists. Would you rather wait for Mali to become a new Afghanistan now that Somalia/Afghanistan/Iraq seems to be dying down? Are you so myopic that you cant see that a successful militant Islamic regime in Mali will definitely have a follow-on effect on all other militant fringe entities in West Africa? When Boko haram claimed to have been trained in Chad, Mali and Sudan, was it a coincidence? people simply oppose western interventions all in the name of anti-imperialism and never seek to determine whether it is ever in their best interests. Didnt the sovereign government of Mali request for an INTERVENTION? Most importantly, Isnt it in Nigeria's best interest to ensure Islamic militancy doesnt take root in West Africa? |
As long as it works. |
History will always note that in the midst of all the madness we call nigeria, that certain principled individuals like Sanusi existed for the sole purpose of relentless speaking the truth to the public. How has CAN benefited the country besides being a pressure group and political platform for claiming the private jet blessing? All seeking brown envelopes. |
that is pure EVILLLLLLLLLLLL ( i am interested in the chair part though. how nobody noticed or opened the envelopes throughout. Was the event planner involved in the plot or did he personally tape it to every chair. how did that work) |
is ajami an hausa invention? you are lucky in the north yoruba is not as callous and evil as you people up there.....you should have two options only: 1. remove ajami and use same currency as rest of nigeria, or 2. create your own ajami inscribed currency and then be forced to an exhorbitant rate of exchange when you transact business below the niger.
1) Yes ajami is definitely a hausa INNOVATION. 2) I am Yoruba as earlier mentioned. 3) You are painting a wrong image of us here. Only the misguided ones among us (the lunatic fringe) are swayed by the kinds of arguments being made here. Most yorubas are too busy with making the money to care whats on it. If you are so concerned about it, why dont you find out what it means? |
When the yoruba deem it fit to invent their own writing script, then it will be placed on the note. Otherwise, it makes no sense asking for it to be removed. Nsibidi is not understood by most Igbo and as such, it makes no sense putting it there except for sentimental reasons. The ajami hurts nobody being there. Unless you want to claim those illiterate Northerners are not equal citizens as you are. The fact is that ajami is as widely used in the north as english is in the south. in fact novels written in ajami are so popular that people buy them in markets in kano. Common everyday people. let's not allow our own limited knowledge and bigotry blind us to a living social phenomenon in our midst. @geeez i support putting ajami script on our street signs. in fact I support having street signs with names in 3-4 languages. Totally. But will your incompetent administrations do that? NO. |
As long as there are people who only understand the Ajami script (the arabic lettered form of hausa), then it needs to stay on the notes. its not a religious script and its just stu..pi.d tribalist mentality to request its removal simply because you dont like seeing arabic script. I am a christian Yoruba and I find nothing offensive about it. |
romanlaw: Well on point. Thats the only way we Lawyers can check-mate this plaque called corruption.Plague not plaque. |
on the topic. I feel the quota system like all other such affirmative action policies are always unfair and negative. How can a nation progress when merit is not a priority? (I am yoruba so spare me any tribalist sh..it) if indeed the anambra and imo students passed highest, why not admit all and overflow the excess into other unity schools. its more meritorious that way. Well, thats the country we live in. Our policies dont have to make sense, they just have to benefit someone powerful enough. |
Definitely someone's lying here. Well the truth will always come out. just wait long enough. |
Bump |
Is this still the case? |
Seun: A typical IT worker needs both - you need certifications to get a job, but you also need skills in order to keep it.true |
Seun hasnt said anthing about a reward but PM me a number for a lil token. (Can be sibling's number too or your significant other ) |

I like the alternative approach to history though if we are objective, this is just as potentially revisionist as the original alafin's tales. |
You could use the FlexLM API for VB applications. There are countless software license manager APIs floating around but FlexNet(just mentioned) is one of the most popular. There are also some open source license managers. I am assuming you will be interested in either maintaining your own license server for end-users to authenticate against it or you could rely on any of the numerous cloud-based license management services. Start your search here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/License_manager Regards. |
just curious. who's the original author of this article? |
kandiikane:IMHO. A few thoughts: --Getting a car and Saving money seem to counter each other. --Advice from a fellow procrastinator---> Focus less on stopping procrastination and more on deciding what to procrastinate on. Its a part of you that will probably never go away. You need to suceed IN SPITE of it. --Drop the cigs: I have a feeling it will contribute towards the last item(which I clearly know nothing about )Final thought/question to frame things for the new year: If you could achieve only 1 thing on that list next year, which one would you choose? |
One Resolution---------------------->Shine bright like a diamond in all I do. Simply be excellent......EVERYWHERE(Church,Work,Club,Home,Love). |
