AndSunGorilla: Hoping to hear about your handsome sons soon playing football at the biggest stage. Unrelated, where are Amokachi's sons sef, dem no just resemble their papa for football.
Amo Taxi boys are not talented but love football and despite their Dad support they failed to make it even to first team in Turkey…..football is about talent and no matter how one packages poor playing kids even in academies there will be no way out.
AndSunGorilla: Ẹ̀gbọ́n gidi thanks for the post sir, me I enjoy am, better pics wey u take bless us. Anybody wey dey vex say u post make im go write about his inlaw in Portugal as usual
Ha AndSun man, when man reached certain age he go behave cuz this world “na for people wey get insight”….I left good federal parastatal job before 40 after 15 years in service which qualified me for pension.
My coming here is to relax, catch fun, exchanges banters and to know more about world football.I always thanking God that before 35 I don get basic things a man must have,so na cruise I dey for here” my man.
Gambit001: Left message and attacking the messenger. That he was a great player but a poor administrator doesn't take away his legendary status, and doesn't mean what de said was false either.
Sir Gambit,Jay Jay legendary status is not debatable and am not disputing what he said but as ex Delta FA boss what was his contribution to the same league.
Yes the league is bad but how do we change the league, just look at our BascoVanVeli trying to tell the world something is still in the league through his YouTube channel.
charlesemeka85: not disputing whatever you said but how many npfl matches u don watch this season Abi last season since wey u our league loyal fan 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oga if I Dey town I watch NPFL cuz it is in me since 80s.It’s fun to be in the stadium live seeing old friends and real football arena where we used to talk football….
Oga am a real local football fan.Infact I woke up every morning to see stadium cuz our house then was directly opposite Ilorin stadium, ask any one where is Sultan road in Ilorin…..mind you Okocha is a buddy to my very close friend known as SAKA in Ilorin so we do host him in Ilorin on visitation so I have that opportunity relating to him directly.
I was among the few people that organized novelty match in Ilorin under Bukola Saraki where we brought ex internationals and not too late Kogi State novelty match….Oga I handled Clemens Westerhoff utilities when he was KFA technical adviser, saying this to let you know that am a confirmed local football fan.
Oga I repeat what was Okocha contribution to the said poor league as Delta FA chairman or what was Dan Amokachie input as SA on sport to former president Buhari.
Oga am very close to some ex internationals and I know how they reasoned when it comes to football administer apart from being ex internationals, they are lacking it when it comes to administration….Pls try and engage them and feed me back.
Okocha remain the worst Delta FA chairman so coming out to say the truth according to some that hate anything local, not a surprise but big question what was Austin Okocha contribution to Nigeria football since he left the stage, especially as Delta FA chairman.
Pple hv been castigating him though it he said nothing but the truth
Oga Charles, yes he said the truth but you forgot that Okocha was vice chairman when Pinnick was Delta FA chairman and later succeeded Pinnick as Delta state FA chairman but failed woefully, now the same Okocha is condemning local football.
I think is friend Kanu Nwankwo is now Enyimba boss, hope to see Kanu soon talking down local league after leaving Enyimba.
Ex internationals that loved playing novelty matches for politicians but coming to football administration they are jokers.
chrisooblog: Egbon o su mi! How can we have talented wingers like Simon, Chukwueze and Lookman and still struggle to get good crosses for our strikers or mazy runs that open up defenses?
Even Musa who I won't call the most technical of players was a bit consistent in wing play (though frustrating) during his prime.
I just realized that we are having issues in our team, poor goalkeeping, midfield problems and having good wingers with average performances.
komekn: If Bendel insurance and Warri Wolves are playing and your get the player statistics of the game. It's essentially pointless 😒 because the football quality is very poor. Will you then say because the stats are good in that game, that player should be invited to the SE.
Do you think 🤔 if some teenagers scores 10 goals in local Sunday league of game, Chelsea are going to immediately run🏃🏿🏃🏿 to buy him⁉️
You need to see matters in objective context 😞then make an informed decision. You decision is emotive preference not quality objective appraisal.
Finally believe it or not many NPLF teams like Enyimba, Awka Warriors will flog Chavez FC. That's the perspective.
Sometimes better to watch the game than relying on statistics.I watched Chelsea vs Nottingham and not really impressed with Aina but surprisingly saw Aina getting good rate 7.
Chavez as a team lacked the edge and if not for Nwakili nobody will get time watching or analyzing Chavez games. The team is too poor.
chrisooblog: Rashford and Sterling only do well in the wings. Rashford particularly struggles in the top 9 role which every English pundit and ex-player has acknowledged. Callum Wilson I don't know how prolific he is especially in England colours for you to suggest he brings versatility in the forward line.
Osimhen, Awo and Boniface have other elements they bring to their teams like Harry Kane who doesn't necessarily operate from the wing.
Our wingers are no where as effective as Foden, Saka and sometimes Rashford who complement Kane.
Nigerian wingers need to start giving Victor Moses like output to bring more of that dynamism and unpredictability into our attack.
Oga Chris I think the issue are our wingers, they have not live live up to expectations just like our midfielders but Peseiro should find a way out and use what he has to get results.
komekn: Why would you compare Adebayo to Boniface, it's s like comparison of wine🍷to Champagne 🍾🥂, why ⁉️
Boniface reminds me of Wilfried Bony and Yakubu , strong powerful, good technique but not very fast and suspect stamina.
Will it work in an SE lineup with very agile, fast forward players.
One observation V.O. ,Awoniyi and Boniface are all straightforward number 9's quintessential traditional strikers. VO and Awoniyi are a lot faster than Boniface I think as well.
They are not versatile and cannot play anything beyond the number 9, position, so how will you accommodate three players who are strictly strikers?
England has Rashford, Raheem, Wilson who are quite flexible able to play anywhere on the forward line. Add to that Saka, Eberechi ( sadly) and you see adaptability and versatility within the game. If you wish to change tactics.
APT but Boniface played more behind the main striker last season.I think Alonso saw what USG failed to see and is working well.
ChrisKels: I was overjoyed to have Ademola Lookman join the Eagles because I felt he was gonna be a VicMo reborn, but it is unfortunate this guy has done literally nothing to prove he is worthy of being included in the roaster all the time. He's got to start showing up, otherwise I would rather an invite is extended to Nathan the son of Tella over him.
We will keep on mentioning Vic Moses cuz our wingers have not showed us much including Chuckwiueze who I believed should be eagles talisman not even Osimehn.
Malroux: You think the guy will just wake up and start accusing Fashola just like that. Fashola should release him first so that the public can hear from him and not using state powers to intimidate and bully him to submission.
Just like he said Buhari was one Jubril from Sudan…I tire for una reasoning here o
Truidstar: Everyone has his own criteria for ranking players but I believe it’s too early in the season to start saying who is better. Osimhen has proved himself for both club and country… The others will over the long season prove themselves… Awo included.
I rate our players based on Super eagles performances, club performance is to get them invitations, reason why I rate Osimehn highly.
Awo,Boniface and Orban did not need any long season to prove themselves, infact they kickstart from where they stopped last season.
Osimehn remained the main man and to displace him that striker will works his socks off.
Viccur: I'm curious guys. Do players get a share out of their transfer fees. For instance, Osimhen is sold to Man city for £100m, does he get a percentage out of the fee asides his personal deal with the club?
I thought we discussed this many pages back on player transfer fee and how it works out.
Nwamazi8: Based on pure undiluted completeness I'll rate our #9 chart in this particular order:
Victor boniface
Taiwo Awoniyi
Osimhen
Gift Orban
Moffi
Chuba Akpom (I see him as a second striker than a out and out #9)
Akor Adams
The for wingers:
Nathan Tella
Ademola Lookman
Chukwueze
Moses Simon
Mazi, well Osimehn has proved himself in eagle’s color and remain a striker to beat.
Awoniyi is growing in confidence and I think he is showing what he can do in big games.
Boniface looked like a player that is assured, not yet tested in eagles but giving the chance then Osimehn must watch it.
Orban just need to move out of Belgium cuz we have seen Onuachu the Belgian league goal king failing but Boniface from the same league is finding it so easy in Bundesliga.
Orban must leave Belgium or else he will find it difficult with top performance from Victor Osimehn,Boniface and Awoniyi week in week out.
Anyway good for Nigeria national team with arrays of CFs we are having….
