mostob: The trio has always been my preferred midfield combo. I just couldn't hold on to that anymore due to how disappointing Nwakali's career has turned out. I really wish he play his way up again. Alampasu and Onyekuru too, my God will judge them Oga forget Alampasu,he is not serious, playing amateur football in France instead of coming back home to reshape his career.Onyekuru is after money, nothing more. Kekechi Nwakili is quite different from the duo cuz he believes he should be up there seeing Osimehn and Chucwueze doing it. |

Tobichimezie: Nwakali announced himself in a big way during that Nigeria vs Atletico Madrid game, he single-handedly dominated that midfield with the most sublime display I've seen from a Nigerian midfield general in a while, and that wonderfully taken goal he also scored. That was in 2018, and tbh I must say Nwakali hasn't been lucky with his club situation, some players just don't have that luck factor when it comes to their clubs, though I think Nwakali's case was more of lack of motivation to really push his game to another level and a terrible agent cause I've seen significantly less talented players than Nwakali that have gone on to have decent club careers.
I'm glad he has found his feet in Portugal and I hope he does well enough to earn his plaudits and get a move to a top 5 league soon. What a balanced assessment. Fact,Nwakili is a talented player but along the line something went wrong which we must accept as fans Nobody is hating any player here,we are just talking football so it’s expected.Did you know that some don’t rate Awoniyi here, but today they are convinced with his performance. The ball is in Nwakili court to tell those who believed he is not good enough that they are wrong by taking Portuguese league by storm |

Meliforme: Aribo shouldn't be listed as a midfielder. We are talking about individual abilities.
Nwakali's U17 exploits bests any world record to Amrabat. Please don't forget that. Sir,am talking about professional career you are talking about U17 exploits. |

Meliforme: Which records? I beg you to please state the records
Amrabat will not enter Super Eagles first eleven with ease. Amrabat will not enter super eagles of Ndidi,Aribo and Iwobi?okay o. Yes record by comparing Nwakili and Amrabat football careers in club and national team since both turned professionals. |

Meliforme: You are not exaggerating my good man. Amrabat is a midfielder many admire, but i will tell you this:
Comparing Nwakali to Amrabat will fill you with admiration for the man Nwakali. There are aspects of the game that I have found Nwakali to be ahead of Amrabat, because Nwakali is more technical. Press resistance, defending and duels, long passes and crosses of the ball, dribbling etc, are areas Nwakali appears to be ahead. Judging the abilities of both players, you will find Nwakali a more complete midfielder.
Let's jettison preconceived notions and face pure facts that are before us. Sir Meli you cannot safe Nwakili cuz only Nwakili can safe himself. Good he is in Portuguese league and I pray things works out for him then you can blow Nwakili trumpet. Checking their records nobody will agree with you that Kelechi Nwakili is bettered than Amrabat.Infact Amrabat will enter eagles first eleven with ease. |

Philosopher1979: ONE OF THE SOLUTiONS TO OUR MiDFiELD PROBLEMS iS KELECHI NWAKALI
A veritable solution to our midfield problems is nwaali People who hate him are somwhat bias and illogical. We simply dont have many options. i am only been logical 1. We have fantastic forwards 2. We lac creative midfielders apart from iwobi 3. Nwaali addition will boost the creativity of our midfield 4. logically speaking we could have qualified for the world cup if he played against Ghana. 5. Again with logic if he plays in the next nations cup we might win it. why? his ability to dominate the midfield will mae us win matches. Cant you see we have the best attac in Africa? with him in our midfield there is no one that can defeat us in African football We will beat sengal mali egypt morocco etc to see how good he is let Nigeria play Morocco and put him in midfield i am confident that he can collect the midfield from Arambat and all these moroccan midfielders God has given us a solution to our problems but we despise him and we will suffer for it if we dont appreciate him He is and can be our secret weapon but A lot of people here dislie him for no logical reason. Time will prove them wrong Yes he is doing it in top league which has been my point all these while. He just played a match and from reported here he did well before subbed out. Mind you Nigerians didn’t hate Nwakili but here,we have hype and underrated fans with very few bringing logical analysis on his game It’s left for Nwakili to tell us he is ready and it will be base on his performances and good he took a good step moving to division one. Right now,his chances are bright cuz nobody will tell us he is doing it in segunda again |

If you suggest the contrary give reasons. Lookman,Iwobi,Chuckwueze for now but as season progresses my preferred list might changed cuz am seeing Nwakili coming in if he can shake the table in Portuguese league…. |

Meliforme: We have been missing Ejuke. He understands the game more than all our wingers.
I said it and i repeat, Chidera Ejuke is more intelligent than any winger that has featured for the Super eagles in the past four years at least.
Samuel Chukwueze has been improving in leaps, especially in his understanding of the wing play dynamics.
To explain Ejuke's intelligence – in the game against Tunisia, Ejuke tried to use his speed, movement and dribbling to affect the defensive shape of the Tunisians, he was looking for an opening and tried to see if he could drag some players with him, but the Tunisians aside crowding their box, were also defending in zones. Sir,will you start Ejuke,Nwakili and Chuckwueze together in your starting eleven. |

Vado: Is Niger state in the West because IBEDC serves the zone electricity? That is the same thing geo-political zones are. Grouping done strictly for administrative ease. Nigeria is still a four region country constitutionally.
As for Fagbemi, the full name is Ifagbemi and there's no such thing as Ifa in the north. He is also a prince to a deceased Oba. His father wore Yoruba crown and not lawani curtains around his head. In fact, they just coronated another king in the town which the Ooni of Ife placed a crown on his head by himself. The reception was done in the SAN's house. Ijagbo is 100% Yoruba land. You can say whatever about technicality, but the Yorubaness of the minister designate is unquestionable. Yes you are right but AEDC serves Niger state not IBEDC.. |

TheLoneCitizen: You actually said regardless of league. I also believe qualities get sterner test as they progress. I used to depict Dessers as the next best thing since Puskas until he started faltering the higher up the football league he went.
Positioning and movement very related, but still different.
Positioning is staying in the right channel to get the ball. Movement is moving into the right channel to get the ball.
Defenders need to position themselves in the right place to stop goals. Forwards needed to move into the right place to score goals.
One is the attacking move, the other is a defensive. Oga TheLoneCitizen are you serious about Ndidi paying guys on twitter to eulogize him cuz I saw your thread on it in sport section |

Joebie: Not seen any official recent stats on Orban as regards speed. But the guys is damn fast as well. Osimehn is the fastest but seeing Awoniyi speed and goal against Arsenal should tell anyone that he is fast,Orban I watched recently is quite different from both.He is of old Siasia but more of goals scorer, his movements on the ball are sleeker with speed but not as fast as Osimehn. |

In today's inflated football market that price tag of 140 - 150m is not too bad, but realistically he's worth 110 - 120m Napoli and Osimehn are not ready yet, maybe next season |

charlesemeka85: you are right with your comparison of osimhen and awo. Both are similar but osimhen comes out on top because I think he is more better on the ball and good in tight spaces
Orban is different, more like Aguero, Martins and current city’s striker Alvarez
I think Orban may struggle if played as a lone striker especially against more physical and tall defenders but will fit in well if he is deployed upfront with osimhen or awo as partner
I think jpes if still in charge to try out the 3 man defense tactics which will accommodate 2 front men as strikers. In such system Orban will blossom I have said it here that traditional number 9 are Osimehn and Awoniyi but Orban is a blessing to any team…..pls what about Akor. |

Joebie: I agree with your points for Osimhen.
Movement and positioning are quite related. Orban seems to be better at all you listed. But we need to see him against top class defenders to make these conclusions. The only CF closer to Osimehn in abilities in SE is Taiwo Awoniyi. They share the same similarities but Osimehn is unstoppable when it comes to goal scoring. Orban will need to move from Belgium league, though his abilities are quite different from others. |
