Subzero047: Akanji is not that good Oga Sub really,Akanji is a real ball playing defender that read the game very well, not a fighter, his game might look confusing, like why are they rating him, reason a good CB like Kevin Akpogunma find it so difficult breaking into eagles and player like Ekong is a super regular. |

Samueltemi337: Just saying the truth man Sadiq Umar all round play is far better than that of awoniyi by the way I'm a very big fan of awoniyi If Sadiq is miles ahead or far better than Awoniyi then Sadiq should be better than Osimehn. Apart from Osimehn,i don't really rate others much, hope you know Peseiro preferred Moffi than Sadiq and Dessers just to tell you that Sadiq is not far better. Sincerely,Sadiq is delight to watch and am seeing him scoring 20 league goals this season. I just hope Awo up his game cos EPL is tough, really impressed with Sadiq so far, love his movements yesterday. |

Osimehn,Dessers,Okereke in Italian league,Awoniyi and Sadiq EPL and La Liga,Moffi in French league. |

TheSuperNerd: Let me help y'all understand something about both Awo and Sadiq.
Both are very decent strikers.
The quality you admire in Sadiq is what Awo doesn't have in huge doses.
But also, the physical beastly qualities that we also admire in Awoniyi is what Sadiq lacks.
Sadiq lacks Awoniyi's Well-built Physicality and body balance. He gets that and we have a Black Zlatan on our hands.
Awoniyi on the other hand for all his physical qualities and sense of positioning which Sadiq also has, he kinda lacks Sadiq's Ball-playing skills.
Now imagine both of them with each other's qualities in addition to theirs.... I tell you the truth, both will be far more menacing than they are even now.
So no need to compare coz either of them don't have what we admire in the other.
One is a battering ram CF with intimidating physical presence, great upper body strength, a workaholic with fine sense of positioning BUT his Ball-playing skills are underpar.
The other is a mobile ball-playing CF, a targetman capable of using the ball skillfully and sleekily with goal instinct and an eye for the Final pass to feed teammates. BUT he doesn't have the physicality and upper body strength to truly impose himself in duels consistently.
So both are good and what both lack is found in the other.
It's very interesting actually observing both overtime and seeing that what both lack is found in the other. Almost like both need each other. O'pari. |
Sports › Re: Best 11 Nigerian Footballers By Region by Kog45(m): 5:42am On Aug 27, 2022 |
SmartyPants: Hi guys, this is a fun little game I thought up, no tribalism intended. So the point of the game is, which region in Nigeria has the best footballers?
To play, you create a full team of the best 11 players and 6 subs from your Region. We'll be using the 6 Geo-political zones of Nigeria.
Your list can include both current and ex players. I start with Niger Delta 11 with a 4 3 3 formation:
Forwards: Finidi George (Bayelsa) Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Edo) Peter Odemwingie (Edo)
Midfielders Wilson Oruma (Delta) J. J Okocha (Delta) Sunday Oliseh (Delta)
Defenders:
Efe Ambrose (Edo) Joseph Yobo (Rivers) Taribo West (Rivers) William Troost Ekong (Akwa Ibom)
Keepers
Vincent Enyeama (Akwa Ibom) Daniel Akpeyi (Delta) Ambruse Vanzekin
Subs
Victor Ikpeba (Edo) Julius Agahowa (Edo) Nosa Igiebor (Edo) Odion Ighalo (Edo) Dickson Etuhu (Delta) Victor Osimhen (Edo)
Standby: Thompson Oliha (Edo) Augustine Eguavoen (Delta) Stephen Keshi (Delta) Brown Ideye (Bayelsa)
Can your region beat this team? Pls how on earth would Keshi and Eguavoen be on standby for Ekong and Ambrose.....did you really know Stephen Okechucwu Keshi, the first Nigerian to ever featured in any European cup final, this was Anderlecht against Sampdoria in 1991 UEFA cup.Keshi still remain best Nigeria defender with highest goals for super eagles, nine goals precisely. This man captain eagles at the age of 22 @afcon Ivory Coast 1984. Keshi on standby and Ekong made your team, haba. Pls go and check the record,Keshi remain the best defender to come out of Nigeria talkless of South South, only Christian Chuckwu came very close and according to you Yobo,Taribo,Ekong are ahead of him,NO my man. |

One of Nigeria's most underrated defenders.
Just unlucky not to be playing for the big clubs in Europe Yes he is good, porto failed the guy just like Chelsea and Arsenal failed Omeruo and Nwakili.Do I say very wrong moved, dutch or Belgium league would have been better for their first professional careers |

Mujtahida: So Oliseh spoke against Mikel therefore he's become the devil to the extent that some get their kick from the news of his sacking? He was asked about both players and he made his choice. I actually watched that interview and I really did not read anything into his comments about Mikel. Even Mikel himself kept quiet and has not said anything about it.
Who is Osimhen when it comes to crazy? But that's not even the point. The point is that as my country man his success is mine. Regardless of his attitude, I gain nothing from his failure.
I know how giddy I was for days when Tobi Amusan blasted records at the World Athletics and the Commonwealth games. A nation must have heroes. Free Oliseh. He's human. Yes I like Oliseh...I followed him when he was with Lierse in Belgium league and was delighted when he had his cap against Ethiopia and his solid performance sent Friday Ekpo out of the team. He was damn good as a player but with attitude problem....Oh happy with his sack,no oh,i just dey cruise baba Yes on Mikel,i wasn't happy cos it was pure personal and not much of football reasoning though his opinion but there are ways ex internationals talk football that you thumb up. I wish him well but would be glad to see Africa Guardiola in NPFL just like Finidi did with Enyimba. The Law Mujtahida it don tey I see you here o |

TheGoodJoe:
Oliseh did not bottle it in Sitaard. He was asked to fixed matches and refused to do it. That is not bottling. You can critique his attitude but I think he still needs encouragement to try again because he is brilliant. No thegoodjoe,.fixing matches? That was serious allegations that European football union don't joke with..I remember John Fashanu and Bruce Grobellar match fixing saga.Oliseh attitude failed him in Sittard not about fixed matches. Brilliance?Pls watch Emma Babayaro podcast and compare Fashanu and Oliseh. If Oliseh is brilliant he will not rubbished Mikel in that interview. He wanted to continue as if he has something personal again Mikel but was cut off . When Obi came to Lagos for his grassroots foundation,he was asked about Oliseh interview and his answer was what I will call brilliance,he let it slide with respect.....make Oliseh try it with Osimehn. |

TheGoodJoe: Come on. The opportunities are different. How many black coaches have the opportunity for top teams? He tried and I hope he gives it another shot. My opinion is clear. He got the opportunity in Dutch league and bottle it.He came from no where to coach eagles with no experience like Keshi who coached Togo and Mali and even qualified tiny Togo to WC....He criticised a lot and always see himself as Mr know it all,he berated Keshi and Siasia at any given opportunity, check his comments out in Emma Babayaro podcast, talking trash about Mikel who remain only Nigerian to spend good eleven years with top club in Europe.Fact,Mikel had fruitful career than Oliseh but trying to compare Mikel and Ndidi just to negate Mikel. Pls compare John Fashanu interview in Emma Babayaro podcast with Oliseh and see intelligence and class Yes he is black but coaching regional club and still out then not good for his coaching career. |

Agboriotejoye: See what I'm saying? He's still blaming GEJ. Selling the obviously moribund national asset was not an error. It's the inability of this present govt to see an obvious failure and turn away from it, goaded by you their supporters that led things to generate to this point. For example, do you know that power distribution by AEDC has actually improved since they were taken over from the inept handlers who kept on rejecting load? AEDC that is giving my people 72 hours supply in a month.....just say your area is okay with AEDC. |
