Uzomacharles: Please I made my research and found out that NIGERIA U17 will be held next year and I really wanna to participate in it due to my love for football and joy to see myself representing Nigeria home and abroad...
But this is the problem, I'm a student in Owerri (FUTO) and I play for my department as winger, midfielder and striker if the need arise and I want to know if there's anyway I can connect to any trial or scout or even an agent here in nigeria?.land which birth Emmanuel Amuneke,Kelechi Nwakali,Chidiebere Nwakali,Samuel Nnoshiri etc.... I would love to see your helpful feedbacks and also welcome for any insult too lol University student in U17 camp?look somehow my man.....my candid advice for you,try to make it to U20 team, also don't joke with NUGA games cos have seen friends who made it from there to various clubs in NPFL but if you can work harder then you make world university games, players like ex polish international Emma Olisadebe,ex super eagles Seyi Olofinjana, old eagles Adokiye Aimeasemeka, former NPFL highest goal scorer Edith Agoye, one cap eagles Dayo Ajoge,ex Fly eagles Adeolu Adekola,ex eagles Andrew Uwe,Segun Odegbami and many more were products of school games Do not be discouraged if you don't make it to national youth teams cos Seyi Olofinjana and Emma Olisadebe didn't played for any youth teams but made it through world university games held in Japan and Italy. Good luck son. |

IDENNAA: So , because David Alaba donated money the whole world has to stand still ? We have thousands of Nigerian players who have investment running into billions that employ thousands of Nigerians , but we don't hear about it.
Now , Alaba donated money 13 million dollars and that should close the conversation o, the value of foreign borns. That doesn't do it and Nigeria shouldn't be having open defecation problems if your government and the electorate aren't madd.
If David Alaba like let him donate his scrotum Aribo will still be critiqued after every game in GWG. So , y'all better start planning your next line of action.
No sacred lambs around here! Sir,am not getting your point and really confused with your outbursts.... ..oh i don't think you love local Nigeria born player as I do cos i followed them passionately watching NPFL like mad from 1982 -2002,I had break watching NPFL when I left Nigeria. Sir, I love my local breed super eagles players and I can tell you one of them is Taiwo Awoniyi,Taiwo is like a son cos the day he was born and christened I was there life...... Oh I see you bringing in Aribo, good before Afcon it was here I said am not really happy with Aribo performance in GWG despite having close relationship with his father, now am damn happy with his performance and I will not bench him for Nwakili till Nwakili prove otherwise....I came into Aina defense when some believe their dogs can play the game than Aina.....I had my only real fight here with doctor Michael2 when he was trying to rubbish John Mikel Obi who remain my all time love super eagles player after Stephen Okechucwu Keshi and Samson Ebowei Siasia, just to tell you I hate it when anyone is trying to rubbish a professional player earning thousand of dollars. Even Kelechi Nwakili go dey laugh "National Hero" tagged wetin we go call Nduka Ugbade...this our thread sometimes eh na cruise o.......I know Kelechi Nwakili will be praising almighty God and thanking Austin Eguavoen for this lifeline which I know the young man will not allow it to slip. |

Danielnino00: He lost the ball only 3 times! Which one is "several times?. His job was to stabilize the midfield and he did that well.. You are just looking for every available opportunity to justify your hatred for the guy...
Just rest Daniel, the issue here is Pro Aribo vs Pro Nwakili, nothing more. They know themselves and let them continue with their sentimental analysis. Aribo I saw yesterday is unplayable and Nwakili I saw against Sudan was impressive. Nigeria midfield yesterday did well. The game possession in both half told us that,so i don't see any reason condemning the two young men. When Aribo was subs out all technical crews member stood up to say boy well done and here we are looking for wrong passes, when midfield when to sleep, whereas Eguavoen did most of his playing on the wings.....Nwakili came in to brought stability, hold on to the ball, calmn it down, maintain the possession and he did it well. Really surprised seeing different views on their performances and I want to say am really impressed with Sir forgiveness analysis on both players, very balance judgment. |

Good performance so far and I want to give kudos to Austin Eguavoen led technical team.Prior to Afcon Super eagles performances was at it's lowest ebb that required radical changes which led to sack of Gernot Rohr.
Rohr sacked brought needed stability and confidence to the team with more fans ready to watch the team, our victory against Egypt gave us hope that we can do it again by conquering Africa just like we did in 1980,1994 and 2013.
The team lost some of her regulars to injuries especially goals merchant Victor Osimehn but despite that Eguavoen was optimistic and never lose sleep unlike Rohr, against Egypt,Nigeria showed real dominant and against Sudan the team showed real champion traits.
The inclusion and dropping of some players doesn't went well with some football fans especially on this thread,Nwakili,Olisa Ndah inclusion, dropping of Kevin Akpoguma but this happens, fans are not always satisfying when it comes to player selection.....but the team need our support irrespective of players selected.
The analysis here were top notch with different views on how the team perform so far but some still trying to negate the team performance despite securing six points from two matches...some school of thought believes the midfield is not in existence, especially against Sudan but my big question,is it possible scoring three goals without having solid midfield?NO...it was just a game plan of Eguavoen and it paid well...We do forget easily that Sierra leone overran our midfield and came from 4 goals down to level us.
The team is on the right track and sincerely we are winning this Afcon with right attitude.
Good luck Super Eagles. |

zuchyblink: Okoye inexperienced to be our first choice goal keeper. Aina's foul on that player was clumsy. Awoniyi missed his opportunity of getting his first hat trick in GWG by missing 4 chances. I love the way he bullies opponents defenders Great team display. Chukwueze,Simon,Aribo, Zaidu, Ekong and Omeruo ran the show. Aribo's fluidity was orgasmic. Oga Zuchy,Awoniyi missed 4 chances?clear chances or what....the only chance he missed was a pass given to him by Iwobi which was even in a tight corner and difficult than open chance Ighalo missed against Argentina. Oga Zuchy,Taiwo Awoniyi is the 4th rated CF behind Osimehn,Ighalo and Onuachu but post Afcon things will change. |

I saw Aribo lose possession three times in the first 25 minutes and our midfield collapsed in this period. Oga,pls stop this Aribo vs Nwakili, the two young men are representing us for God sake and one must be on the bench which is normal in football....we need to be mature in our analysis...am more impressed with Nwakili today but Aribo I saw today is unplayable with Simon Moses,Wilfred Ndidi,Ola Aina,Kelechi Iheanacho,Taiwo Awoniyi and Troost Ekong who I don't rate but so far in this Afcon these seven are unplayable. |

TheSuperNerd: Lol... I am sure he will have his "tactical" reasons and only if those will yield a mad victory then why not?
For me, I would have only made one change. Just one.
Was initially gonna be two but I feel introducing that 2nd change can come later in the second half.
But like I already said. The same XI vs Egypt can definitely get the job done vs Sudan and win good.
The only difference is in how many would we actually score and what degree of dominance would we actually exert?
This is the difference between my one change and the likely starting XI today. Yes,if we go by our different tactical reasons, definitely one of two players would be dropped but coaches don't joke with winning XI especially when it comes to national team. I think we need to see talented Chuckwueze again though he was the only starter that didn't got it right against Egypt |

TheGoodJoe: Sadiq Umar
He sparked a discussion after the game. Did he play well or did he not?
My verdict. He was atrocious.
Why?
Tactical failure.
He was the only player that had Eguavoen barking in anger and directing his movement. Samson Siasia explained this when he worked with some home-based players in the Super Eagles camp. After briefing, training, drilling them on tactics. As soon as a scrimmage game started, they forgot everything. Siasia said, sometimes, these things take time to register. Sadiq definitely had a tactical nightmare and gave the coaching crew headache.
Take nothing away from the youngman. He showed total talent. Sweet touches. Intelligence in reading players movement but this coaching crew wants sound tactical involvement and Sadiq will face a heavy hand during lectures. If he nails it, the guy will fly in this competition. Sadiq Umar is just like Paul Onuachu so team need to play to their strengths. |

forgiveness: Playing Nwakili with just Ndidi in the midfield is suicide.
Iheanacho must give way for Nwakali to play then allow Ndidi and Aribo to continue. Next time we are defending a goal, I think Onyeka should be considered ahead of Nwakali. I thought with Ndidi-Onyeka the pairing which I frowned at will give Nwakili more opportunities.....okay how do you see Ndidi-Aribo-Nwakili |

TheGoodJoe:
I think this is a point I do a breakdown of what I noticed and possible progression we might expect.
I will start with Kelechi Nwakali who remained the most controversial pick and most discussed.
What I noticed in the game was a totally different role from what we expected. When Eguavoen explained his philosophy, he talked about diagonal long balls being key to his system. Kelechi Nwakali came to mind. However, I know Guardiola relies on Laporte and Ederson when we are under high press. This happens because, in a high press, the midfielders have little time on the ball.
It was refreshing seeing Ekong taking that mantle, and Omeruo doing more of the low ones. In that case, Nwakali was not utilized in that role.
What I saw instead is that Eguavoen has chosen a double attack system, with one of the strikers having the capability of playing as an attack midfielder and able to create for the striker and offensive wingers.
This was what happened when he made the change. He formed an attacking pair with Sadiq Umar and Kelechi Nwakali.
I told someone what was most interesting was both support strikers, are named Kelechi, and both were U17 best players of respective competitions.
So I think the coaching crew want Kelechi Nwakali to play a more offensive role than we expect.
Another thing I noticed was that his pass to Ejuke. The weight of the pass was so precise, that it stopped at the right time that made it easy for Ejuke to work with it.
That is why I feel Kelechi Nwakali will not play a deep midfield role in the coming games. Time will tell. Will expatiate more on Nwakali soon. Oga dust your certificate and go to NIS. |
